I have to say it was a great experience. Greg came in and measured my halls, stairwell and office at home and I got the estimate later that day. The installers were great and did a very professional job on a tough set of stairs in an old house as well as the rest of it. The transitions in particular were perfect and he even told me about stuff I hadnt done correctly. I almost didnt mind writing the check. I have to do some more upstairs and next door. They will definitely be my first call. Great job guys.

I had a strict timeline to get the work done. Thankfully, Greg came right out, worked up a proposal, which was quite reasonable, and they worked me into their schedule even soon than I had hoped for. The installers, Jim and Zack, worked nose to the grindstone from start to finish. They were on-time and cleaned up afterwards. The floors look great. Working with Greg and Jonathan for the installation of new carpeting and tile in the entryway to our house was a wonderful experience. Greg especially was a great help in selecting the type and color of carpeting/tile to compliment the paint I had chosen for the walls in the upstairs and downstairs hallways. Best of all, he was willing to rip out the old carpet and give me all the time I needed to complete painting before installing the tile and new carpet - something other places I looked into weren’t willing to do. I was never pressured to get the painting done (I had a lot going on at that particular time) so they could complete the installation and get paid.Their installation crews were top notch - on time and highly professional. The place looks so much better now (I’ve included some before and after photos). Overall, they provided great value, superior service, and showed a “customer first” focus I’ve found to be rare these days. I will certainly go to them again, without hesitation, for other upcoming floor covering needs. Most highly recommended.

Such a great experience! Very helpful, locally owned, family owned company. Greg was great with helping me choose the carpet, he knew my house was going on the market and gave me some great suggestions. They worked with my schedule to install the carpet quickly so I could get my house listed. The installer was great and very professional, I like that they use their own installers instead of contracting it out, day labor, etc. I liked knowing who would be in my home. Best part is that I used a local company so the money I spent goes back into the community instead of a big box store. Thank you!!!

The Floor Covering Shop on 385 Central Ave. in Norwich, CT is a great place to do business with. The shopping experience right to the installation went extremely smooth. All of my old carpet had to be removed and my furniture had to be shuffled from room to room. The installers were very careful and respectful when moving it back and forth. It was not an easy job.The experience dealing with a pleasant family business vs. a box store is night and day. With The Floor Covering Shop, you know who youre dealing with.
