Just to start it off, it was a very nice environment. All of the works were very welcoming and made me feel more comfortable. I had some annoying teeth but they still made it very fast. I enjoyed getting the call asking how I was doing after.
Recently had two wisdom teeth removed at Connecticut surgical arts. Every step of the process was fantastic. The entire staff was kind, helpful and very polite throughout the entire process from consultations to X-rays and then the day of the procedure. Dr. Martin was very easy to speak too and communicate with. The procedure went very well and in the time frame i was told. After i had returned home that day I received a phone call from Dr. Martin to follow up on how i was doing and if there was any issues or further questions. Very little pain and discomfort after the procedure. Highly recommend Connecticut surgical arts and if ever need be i will certainly return.
Just thought I would write another review about this doctor because he did such a horrible job. You can see my last review from three years ago if you sort the reviews by the lowest ratings. From three years ago, Ive since developed two periodontal pockets on each inner side of my top teeth where my wisdom teeth were removed BECAUSE my stitches came out not even a couple of days later. MIND YOU, the stitches were comparible to fishing line tied in a couple knots, not at all what sutures should look like. Yup, in the back, my gum lines pretty much just hang there, not attached to my teeth/gum line at all, and this is something Ill have to deal with for the rest of my life.Think twice before coming here.
Staff and service were pleasant, and kind. Wisdom teeth removal was quick and efficient. Dr. Martin, on the other hand, was the least pleasant part of the experience. Snippy, hostile, patronizing as all hell, and you can tell he’s waiting for you to shut up so he can go do something else/just not have to hear your voice.Went in because I had exposed bone after surgery, and his response to me during the check-in was “there’s bone under gums, y’know?” Frankly, I could’ve just been told “that’s normal” when I called the office, and didn’t have to go in just for Dr. Martin to try to make me feel like an idiot.Wholeheartedly do not recommend this office. This is an ongoing issue, and, despite their previous PR responses, it’s glaringly obvious no actual work has been done to address Dr. Martin’s attitude and patient care.
I brought my 11 year old son in after a referral from his dentist. We first went in during the peak of covid and it was decided to wait on the removal of 2 teeth per his age and growth. We called back and made a new appt after one year. After to speaking to the front deak staff multiple times about the referral (which she had made contact and was approved) we attended the appointment. The Doctor entered the room and proceeded to ask my son and I What is it you want me to do? At this point my son had anxiety and was extremely uncomfortable. I responded by explaining i was not 100% sure what procedures were necessary and that was why we were there per the referral and x-rays. He again proceeded to tell me he didnt know what we wanted and that this was a waste of his time. We left the office with no answers other than Figure it out and make a new appointment. Terrible professional encounter.
Multiple teeth (8 upper) extracted quickly. Recovery absolutely remarkable! 48 hrs post extraction and no pain, just low grade tenderness in one spot. Clean, professional, friendly office!
Ill never go anywhere else but here! Dr. Martin and his staff are professional and caring.
I would not recommend him to anyone nor would I go back. Only went because I was referred and he was the first one that could see me-had a molar extracted. He has a better than thou air and no empathy for people who have anxiety at the dentist. His staff was great but he is very snarky and not personable at all. He made a very rude comment while pulling the tooth about me making it worse and needing to calm down. - just be kinder-it’s not that hard.
Dr. Martin and the staff are fantastic. During the procedure they did everything possible to keep me comfortable and pain free. Later that day he personally called to check up. I had a minor issue a few days after, I called and left a message and received a return call very quickly and they were able to schedule me for an urgent appointment that morning. Procedures are quick and I was in an out in 30 minutes.
Amazing doctor and staff. Came in to get my wisdom teeth out. Doctor explained every detail of the surgery and what to do during recovery very clearly. Smooth surgery, after just 6 says the pain is gone. If youre thinking about getting your wisdom teeth out, this is the place.
I’m 25 years old & I’ve never had any type of surgery done prior to this particular procedure. Therefore, the thought of having my wisdom teeth removed frightened me. After the initial consultation, the receptionist emailed me detailed instructions on what to expect after my surgery. She also gave me instructions on the medications I would need to take. This was perfect me. I was able to plan ahead & and get an idea of what to expect. I was also able to purchase my pain killers at the pharmacy prior to the procedure. The procedure itself was quick and easy. (20 min) I chose local anesthesia & was awake the whole time. (I preferred this option) I stopped taking my medication after just 4 hours. Later that evening, Dr.Martin called me himself to make sure I was doing okay. That was the absolute icing to the cake! (Not many Doctors do that anymore) Needless to say, I had an awesome experience.
On time and great staff! Dr Martin was so awesome! He called at 8:50pm to check on my daughter after having her wisdom teeth pulled! Totally impressed and highly recommend his service!
Dr. Martin and his staff are always kind and helpful every time I come in. He truly ares about your outcome and happiness by always calling to check on you after procedures. The kindness doesnt stop there, he has donated to many PTA sponsored events and is a great member of the community as well. Thanks for all you do both in and out of the office.
Dr. Martin and his staff were excellent before and after my surgery. I found everyone in the office to be caring, professional and very helpful. My results are amazing and I have had numerous comments on how good I look. It took me a longtime to decide to have a face lift, but I couldnt be happier. Thank you to Tracey, Deb and Dr. Martin for making it such a wonderful experience.Maria
I have had several filler and botox injections by Dr. Martin. Also, I have had 2 elective surgical procedures with Dr. Martin. In my professional opinion, Dr. Martin is an exceptional surgeon and provides excellent care. His bedside manner is fantastic and he is respectful of his patients needs. Furthermore, his staff is welcoming and kind. One cannot go wrong at Connecticut Surgical Arts.
Dr. Martin is an amazing cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Martin was recommended to me by a friend who said he will give you natural results not changing who you are but just tweaking the problem areas as we age. I have been so pleased with Dr. Martins ability to hear my problem and enhance the area of concern. Dr. Martin fixed my drooping eye lids so I could love putting on make up again, took care of my deep lines and even fixed my hollowing cheeks all with natural results. My family and friends cant tell what I have done - I get comments like You look great whats different?.....I tell them though because I am so pleased with Dr. Martin and want others to know how if they have area that just makes them sigh :) he will help. Dr. Martin is always so honest with the results you will achieve and the results are always exactly what he indicates. I highly recommend Dr. Martin - even my boyfriend had his neck adjusted and looks amazing.....
I had a carcinoma so first I called a dermatologist, who said they could see me in 6 months. Then I called CONNECTICUT SURGICAL ARTS and they saw me within days. My removal was scheduled the week after that. And they have been on time for all of my appointments! Fees were reasonable too.
I recently had my wisdom teeth out at this office. The staff and doctor were exceptional. They explained everything so clearly. I am two weeks out with very little discomfort. I hate taking pain medication, what they recommended to take worked great as I was apprehensive. Tylenol and Ibuprofen was all I took! I would highly recommend this office.
This is worth the read, trust me. First of all, this place deserves 0 stars. Every time I call they sound very annoyed and rude. Before my procedure they went over policies, anesthesia, etc. They also informed me that medication was not prescribed, which I found a little odd, however, they assured me I would not be in much pain and that their schedule of over the counter medication would help with any discomfort I had and that I would be ok. They asked if I had any questions and I didnt because Ive never had a wisdom tooth procedure before so Im clueless. The dentist had to remove two wisdom on top and one on my bottom which was impacted. I was not informed that they would be shaving my jaw bone to get it out; I didnt even know it was that impacted. I can feel a huge indent where they shaved my jaw bone down too. They practically shoved me out the door the minute I woke up. One of my stitches on the top came out not even two hours after my procedure. I called the dentists personal phone number and he did not get back to me until later the next day. I figured this was an urgent matter. He called me and said there was nothing to worry about. I said ok. A couple days later, the stitches came out of the impacted tooth incision. It came out in a double knot. Im not sure if thats normal, but now there is a gaping hole in my gum and food will not come out until hours or even a day later...(this is over 1 month after my procedure). And heres the kicker... Im in so much pain, Id rather get my appendix removed again, that pain was tolerable. So because Im in this unbearable pain after shaving my jaw bone down, WHICH I WAS NOT INFORMED UNTIL AFTER I ASKED FOR A REPORT OF MY PROCEDURE A WEEK LATER, they still refused to give me pain medication. I had to go to a walk in for help because almost two weeks after my procedure I was still in so much pain. I even came in about a week later to ask for pain medication and because I thought it was infected and while I was waiting the front desk receptionist called me up to the desk. I came up and she thought it would be a good idea to show me a Facebook status of her talking bad about a patient who was sitting right next to me. I would not recommend this business for any type of surgery. They are unprofessional, careless, and have put me through a lot of emotional distress. I will not be going back to them and I will warn anyone who thinks of going to this place.
Very professional.
