A little bit bumpy back and forth between lumber department and garden department looking for 4”x6’ dog ear picket and then cut to 4’. It was turned out that pickets are piled outside the building. Rob from lumber helped me look outside the building and came back with great alternative solution by using 3/4”x3.5”x8’ pressure treated rectangular one and cut half instead. Much much better quality than the original one (I already checked other Lowe’s and online reviews) I was looking for. Doubled price plus cutting dog ears myself. Not big deal. I finished the 3/4” dog ear cut after dinner with simple tools within 10 minutes on 10 boards. Overall very satisfied. Thanks Rob for the quick thinking with smart idea with much better alternative solution.

Clean and Organized. Sometimes the staff takes a while with checkout, returns or getting top stock down. The staff is usually very kind, I have had a couple of issues in the past. Their app usually shows an accurate inventory of what is in store. Overall this is a good store for home improvement needs.

I really like Lowes. They have a great selection of products. Kobalt, their house brand, is excellent. I only wish the aisles were numbered in order so they are easier to find. Aisle 1 is next to 22 and 28, but aisle 21 is on the other side of the store. Also, please support Google Pay.

Ordered 12 interior doors in early of march 2021. Was told 70 days delay for delivery due to covid. It is now Mid July and still no doors. Very poor follow up from sales person and management. Delivery keeps getting postponed, unless I call I get no follow up and wouldnt have known about changes. No explanations ever given except placing blame on vendor back up due to covid. Very difficult to actually get anyone on the phone. Have to go into the store in person to track down any sales persons or manager and Even that took forever. Even then when promised to look into and follow up, still nothing. 1/⁵ stars for customer service. At this point just want to cancel and go with someone else. Very disappointed in Lowes. Wouldnt recommend shopping for doors here...bless you have no problems waiting months for your purchase.

Associates in the store were very helpful. But the person at the checkout was really unfriendly. It seemed he was forced to do the job and even entering the info provided to him was something he found a lot to do. Maybe he was having a bad day but my experience in Lowes over years has been extremely good but this was not up to that level Ive come to expect. Hence reduced one star.

Great customer service. The gardening manager Yossef (sp?) went out of his way to help us with mulch and identifying different flowers that would be good for our garden. Great variety and display of plants and products. The employees are always eager to help and answer questions.

The lady in kitchen design was rude, kept cutting me off with reasons she could not help me. When she answered the phone and I asked how are you today she actually replied to a customer with BUSY, WHAT DO YOU WANT? as if a customer calling is a bother.Then when I tried again and said I know exactly what I want for a special order countertop can you please let me know what if would cost she could not tell me the price of a custom countertop over the phone because she and the other person working in that department are both going on Vacation and she doesnt know how to even use the system. That is insane! I know the exact color, model and sku of the material, exact dimensions, cut, ect and will be installing myself. I just wanted a price. Congratulations Lowes, you just lost out on $8000 appliance sale because of this. I will be going elsewhere.For future reference when you re-train your staff the correct answer would have been... I am doing great but I am with a client at the moment, would it be ok if I took your information and called you back once I am free to give you my undivided attention? Then when you called back and still dont know how to use your own computer system in the department you work in you can gather the informaiton of what I am looking for and reply with That sounds great, let me put this together and give you a call back. Would an hour from now be ok or would you prefer tomorrow? Then go find someone who knows what they are doing.... You blew it!

Purchased 4 white pine trees this Spring. 2 trees died. I took them back to Northbrook Lowes with tag, but without receipt Store manager would not exchange for live trees or give refund. Told her I will never, ever walk inside any Lowes store again.

Busy day but no cashiers! Only self check out kiosks were available with one guy manning the station. Kiosks were glitchy and everyone was waiting. After 10 minutes I left and went to Home Depot where they had plenty of people to help check out. I was in and out in 5 minutes. To the Lowe’s management, consider having more cashiers on duty on a busy Saturday afternoon.

Even though this Lowes is a little far for us, we are happy to make the trip. Specifically, Ceci in kitchen cabinets has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable and Zach helped us with a beverage refrigerator! Both employees went above and beyond the typical shopping experience! Highly recommend this Lowes and their helpful and kind employees.

This location is a poor excuse for a Lowes, they have a decent amount of employees but they are always telling you to either go see someone else or sitting around on their phones. If you order online its an even worse experience. Do yourself a favor and only visit this location if you absolutely need to other than that go to Home Depot down the road you wont be disappointed by thier customer service.

This store has lots of stuff. But I have never been to a store where the service is so bad. I needed wood cut, but nobody was there. So I had to go find somebody, and they said they would help. So I was standing there waiting. 15 minutes later, nobody was there. So we asked a different person. They said they would get help. We waited for another 15 minutes. Then we asked a different person and they told us the saw was broken. Lowe’s owes me 30 minutes of my life back. This is the worst store I’ve ever been to in my whole life.

Dont shop here. Period! I was looking to purchase a ceiling fan that they had on display and in stock (according to the Lowes website) but not on the shelf. I asked the employee nearby, who was cleaning the self-check out stations, if he could page someone to the ceiling fan area. He did. No one showed up. After waiting for about 7 minutes, I asked him to page, again. He did. And again, no one showed up for another 10 minutes. This time, I asked one of the cashiers who was not occupied. She paged someone to the fan area. Once again, no one showed up, and another 10 minutes went by. I asked her again if she could page someone to the area. She did, and yet again, no one showed up! I waited another 5 minutes until I decided to walk out of the store. On my way out, I asked the same cashier, who was still not occupied (as the store wasnt busy), the name of the store manager. She said that the following people were in charge today: Oscar, Charlie, and Karly.

Usually have what you need but not all staff is knowledgeable or helpful (thank goodness for google). There are a few who know what theyre talking about. Appliances are great and theres usually floor models or clearance units available that can save you a ton (got our fridge 50% off because it was last years floor model).

Went in today to exchange a kobalt tool set that was purchased in January. The representative at the returns deck has no idea how to do it. So the manager kevin had to step in. Right away he talks telling me that they dont replace sorry tools. Just broken ones. I agreed with that and pointed what parts are broken. Than he questions me when it was purchased. Which I explained and told him I have the card it was bought under. He tells me it not possible to be only a few mk the old. That the tool is years old. I asked him why he says that. The tools looks to wear and forty. Clearly he never worked as a mechanic. He kept talking over me and telling me its not two months old. I had to ask for another manager just to provide proof of purchase. Worst customer service Ive ever had.

Won’t even give it one star because Lowe’s is good only till they haven’t made the sale. Once the sale is made they’ll forget about you like you never existed EVEN if the product has NOT been delivered yet. Yes! we paid100% for a fence we got on day one and it has not been delivered for the past 3 months. Every other day we call them for an update and they transfer calls internally and every time it’s a new person that’ll get back to us but guess what they never do. The worst customer experience ever. Save yourself from this company and only buy shelf stuff if you really want to cause they ain’t delivering anything after you’ve paid.

I walked in to make a copy of some keys, and there were two people sitting at customer service (customers) with NO MASKS ON. The sign on the entrance door clearly states to wear a face covering. I said something to the guy helping me and he simply said ‘I’m sorry. I can’t force them.’ Which, while it’s not illegal, I will NEVER return to this store. You can refuse service and tell them to leave if they refuse. Home Depot does. What a joke.

My husband Ray and I shop at other places normally. One day we walked into the Loews in glenview. We were greeted by a manager his name is Steven Isho. He was so polite and assisted my husband and I with a purchase of an electric fireplace which was not in stock. He helped us with the purchase and assured us he will call and check on it to inform us with status updates. He went above and beyond for us to get this product in a timely manner. His customer service is top notch ! If you want to purchase anything with ease and no hassles ask for Steve Isho. My husband and I shop at Loews as our number one now. To be honest now I can’t keep my husband away from there. If he is interested in buying anything he’ll ask me call Steve at Loews see if they have it. So now we are hooked. Thank you Steve! We are lifers now!

I’ve spent three months trying to purchase a door and have it installed. I persisted because I used to love this company but every department I’ve spoken with—from milling, to scheduling to customer service and managers—has completely failed. They’ve never even called back to schedule a measurement; much less to make the sale & complete the install. I’ll post more details about the TWO DIFFERENT STORES I’ve tried soon because I don’t want anyone to have to deal with this. I went to the Lowes because I needed a piece of wood cut. I had already been to Home Depot, but they c/wouldnt help.After being told off by a Home Depot employee from the lumber dept, I gave Lowes a call, & they said they could & would help me out.I arrived, found the exact gentleman that took my call in the Lumber aisle, & was taken care of in less than 5 minutes.Normally I dont have much of a preference between two competing companies when theyre as similar as these two, but the level of service I received at Lowes this weekend will affect my household shopping habits for the foreseeable future.Thanks Lowes! Got to the display and no new boxes near the display. I asked the associates and no one knew where the boxes were stored. An employee even asked the general manager and he didn’t know. I have always had great success with this store and great customer service, but not this week post- covid shutdown.I ordered a product online for contactless delivery. It was one single item. After 18 hours with no response I called customer service and requested the item. I was told it would be pulled and come in 15 minutes. When I arrived I was told it was not ready and wait. After about 10 minutes it was placed in my trunk. When I got home, I found they gave me an open package and a part was missing. I was told I would have to enter the store to make an exchAnge, which defeated the whole point of contactless delivery.The store is not set up for the safety of the employees (plastic screening is poorly set up) and staff are wearing masks below their noses. Stay away if you can.

Purchased a tool chest online and it came in very damaged. Had to borrow a friends car to take it to the store to return it. Bought a nicer tool chest but then it went on sale a couple days later. The store manager Brian credited me back for the sale on the item and gave me credit for the time it took me to return the damaged online tool chest. I’ve had prior issues with Lowe’s and they have been spectacular and fair every time. I’ve had issues with their competitor and it’s been really awful. I am going to make it a point to travel the extra distance from my house to shop at Lowe’s because of their outstanding customer service. Thank you for understanding Brian.

Had to give 1 star, would have given zero if i could have.I am sympathetic to delayed delivery due to The pandemic. However, I placed an order online and opted to pick up at The store, rather than ship direct - terrible mistake. I placed the order on 5/19. I received an email confirmation thanking me for my order, and it supplied an order #. I have not received any additional order status updates since (except a survey email asking how the delivery went). Seriously? They don’t know it hasn’t arrived at their own store yet?I have called the Northbrook,IL store three times to inquire about the shipment. The first time was later in the day and the woman who answered was rude and brusque. I had to pry I formation from her. She said “why are you calling“. Ummm, to have you check on the order number I just supplied. She said, it should be here on 5/23. Okay.I called direct again on 5/27. This time (maybe the same woman) answered and informed me that (Miracle of miracles) it had Just arrived at the store and needed to be scanned in and that we would be getting an email. Since we didn’t, I called this morning to follow up. Different woman answered, asked what I wanted. I did just go through the 5 step process of pushing buttons on the phone to get me to the right person to help me with my online order didn’t I?She said that it hadn’t arrived, and they didn’t know when it would. She then said, “I am looking at the fedex tracking number”. I replied, “why haven’t I received that tracking number?” She gave it to me over the phone.It is disgraceful, pandemic or not, to charge somebody for a product and not supply the customer with a simple fedex tracking number for their order. The customer service Information we were given was An outright fallacy. If the website had accurately informed me that the store had to order this in, I would have paid for delivery (especially with lagging delivery times). As I write this, I am sitting on hold (So far 27 minutes in and counting) with Lowe’s corporate. Beware - customer service issues start at the top- when I Started this call, they said the wait was 45 minutes to speak with someone. Good, honest businesses shuttered due to big box stores like this one years ago, and honest ones have been shuttered because of the pandemic - but this incompetently run behemoth has survived? Not going to shop here ever again. 1-800-44-LOWES if anyone else wants to call.

Dont ever buy any special order materials from this store. Worst experience Ive ever had with a meterial order (Im a contractor so I do this type of thing daily). Complete waste of everyones time. I went out of my way to make sure this delivery arrived by the time I needed it and was met with incompetence and complacency at every step. I will be talking my business elsewhere in the future. I recommend you do the sameWhen I ordered the confirmation email said estimated delivery date of 5/15. Then a couple weeks later I got a delivery confirmation through email for Wednesday 5/17. I call that morning to get an idea on timing and was told they didnt even have my material in yet but it was arriving to them that day. I had a crew of guys scheduled to install the material on Saturday so I let them know that I just need it by end of day Friday. I was told they would call Thursday morning to confirm the shipping date. No call.I called the store 10-12 time throughout the day on thursday and could not get 1 person to answer. I had to physically go to the store just to have a conversation. I talked to Mike and he was mildly helpful at first. Confirmed the materials were in their warehouse but it still needed to be unpacked and loaded for delivery. Mike said they should be able to get it me on Friday but would call before closing to let me know. No call. Again...thanks Mike.I call Friday at 6 am to figure out whats going on. The opening manager, Rob, was helpful at first and confirmed everything was ready. He couldnt get it to me on Friday but told me he would put me first stop for Saturday - 7 am. That works as my guys are arriving at 8.Saturday morning 7:30 am. Still no delivery. I call and they say that they just loaded so I will be getting a call soon when the drivers are on the way. By 8:30 still no call. I call back and am told we are scheduled for 11-2:30. Not 7 am as Rob promised. So now I have a crew of guys onsite ripping out the old material and we have no new material to install.2:45 pm. Still no delivery. I called and talked to Oscar. He assures me that they are on the way and it should here be soon. Its 3:45 and Im still waiting. I had to send my crew home and not complete the job.Complete waste of everyones time. I went out of my way to make sure this delivery arrived by the time I needed it and was met with incompetence and complacency at every step. I will be talking my business elsewhere in the future. They walked me to my product and explained in detail the uses of them and explained the options and difference between product and price. I wanted to get confirmation from the salesman before posting a review, and now that I got it, I am writing this up. Last week I ordered a stove over the phone with salesman zach. I gave him the item number verbatim from the lowes website, over the phone, and scheduled delivery.On the date of delivery, the service lowes hired out refused to install my stove, as they had other deliveries to get to, and left it in my mud room. I paid for both the installation of the new appliance, and the haulaway of the old one. I called the store specifically to order over the phone to make sure the stove would be installed because Im a mouth breathing neanderthal who shouldnt be trusted with tools near a gas line. Since the stove was not installed, I was not required to sign off on anything at that exact moment in time.That afternoon while reviewing the paperwork that came with the stove, I discovered it was not the one I ordered. I called the store right away, thinking that the stove I ordered had mistakenly gone to somebody else. I was told by the appliance associate that this was in fact, the stove that I had ordered and was correctly sent to my address. He told me that I would have to call back and talk to appliance salesman Zach, who wrote up the order when he was back at the store. I scheduled the return of the incorrect product with the store associate.Today I received a call from Salesman Zach asking why I was returning the stove. He informed me that even though I ordered the stove that I ordered, he instead purposefully sent me what he thought to be a better stove, with more features, by a different manufacturer, and most infuriatingly, more expensive.

I dont come very often, but I think this place is nothing better than acceptable. There never appears to be the exact product that we are looking for. They seem to have a good amount of botanic material and equipment. Most of the people here are polite, but there are some who are rude and dishonest about return policies. Fortunately, I did not have an issue with anything like that yet, but that is why I dont usually get a lot of things from this place.

I went to return a Christmas merchandise I bought on Christmas Eve at 7p.I had my receipt with me and the tag was attached to the product. The cashier on duty very rudely informed me that they dont take Christmas merchandise back. To which, I replied-1.There were no signs mentioning this policy when I bought the product. 2. There was no mention of the policy on the receipt.3. The cashier didnt mention the policy when she was checking me out.So, how do you expect me to know the policy?This cashier was the rudest person I have ever encountered in retail business. She kept on arguing with me without offering any solution. She had no clue how to treat customers. Not only was this woman rude but she was also a liar. She insisted that she was the only manager on duty that night, when I asked to talk to management. To make a LONG story short-I found not ONE but TWO managers on the floor. Patiently explained my situation to each of them separately (by this time I was at the store well over an hour). The male Asst Manager had a smirk on his face the whole time I talked to him-making it quite clear that he didnt believe me and definitely didnt care if I took my business elsewhere. The female manager kept saying she was sorry but didnt believe me either. Their attitude was- I was lying to get a refund (which, of course, I was not). All three employees treated me with disrespect and their customers are NEVER right attitude was shocking.I was surprised to see another google reviewer with exactly the same complaint as mine!THERE WERE ABSOLUTELY NOT ONE SINGLE SIGN THAT SAID THE MERCHANDISE WAS NON RETURNABLE/FINAL SALES.I will never walk into another Lowes again!I highly recommend Home Depot and COSTCO, both on Patriot Blvd.

Yes, this store is huge! They have an extended range of RainBird products for lawn irrigation that makes this store unique for my purposes. Service and in stock selection for home plumbing and electrical is excellent. Service for engine products has been weak in my experience. For engine products, I generally go elsewhere. Parking is easy, particularly in the evening, and I find it easy to make a quick stop for my projects.

I am a Home Depot devotee but I went to Lowes becz I wanted a Craftsman toolbox. Very pleasantly surprised at the changes in the layout and selection since my last Lowes visit about 10 years ago. Got a terrific deal on floodlights (6 65-watt GE lights for $2.98!), found a better Craftsman toolbox at a good price and spent 20 mins or so wandering around the wide selection of Craftsman and DeWalt tools. As Arnold said, Ill be back.

I only shop to Lowes if I dont have other hardware store close by. However, they have a good selection of tools and supplies. Just recently they added Craftsman tool to their line of items. Very nice.

Unfortunately I used Lows to install my patio door and end up spending $3,400 for poor job was done through them. My flooring was dark brown and they Installed yellow trims which is totally deferent color. And also they did not seal my trims with caulking and there is a lot of gaps open have no caulk. I called the Office many many times and I told them what a poor job they did, and they said they will come back and no body show up and even bather to call back. I do not recommend home owners to deal with lows to do any construction jobs in their Houses at all.

We recently purchased a dishwasher from this location. During installation, we noticed that the outer handle of the dishwasher was blocking one of the kitchen drawers from opening so we went back and asked Lowes for another unit.We requested Zach, who was the original salesperson, to waive the first installation fee ($125) but he refused and gave all kinds of excuses - Lowes is a large organization so it can easily take care of its clients. Zach could have at least waived the second installation fee given the fact that it was a big purchase and that it was not our fault that the machine didnt work with our kitchen layout.We were supposed to get credited for the first dishwasher within a few days (upon receipt of the other dishwasher at the warehouse). I was out of town for two weeks and noticed that the first dishwashers return was not credited to my credit card account. That meant that I had two large purchases on my bill, and that I was being charged interest for both. I called Lowes Customer Service once I returned to see where the credit was - There was no record of my return. The Lowes Customer Service person that answered said that they understood the problem and that they would also take care of the first installation fee.However, when Stan the Northbrook store manager called us, he was not receptive and refused to credit the first installation portion even though their Customer Service rightfully offered. There was also no apology offered, even though I mentioned the fact that I was getting charged interest on my credit card for this. Stan said that he just needed my credit card number, which they should have had in the first place. These guys are unbelievable - I strongly recommend avoiding the Appliances section of the store.

I come here on a weekly basis and the selection is usually stocked. Although, there have been times where I needed half inch EMT pipe and it wasnt stocked.
