My incredibly important and expensive package was left on the ground because the post person was too lazy to bring the box half a block down the street. I’m so glad I saw it before it walked off. Who does this?

Why can’t this post office have better hours for those of us who work and can’t get here during their very limited hours? I feel like if there is only 1 employee, then why don’t they hire another person or even 2 more so they can extend the hours? If this is a public facility, it should attempt to accommodate the public better. Including those who have jobs. Although the guy seems nice, he is the slowest person I’ve ever seen. It’s nice that he visits with people as he waits on them, but not when there are 7 more people waiting in line. This guy doesn’t know how to hurry so people aren’t waiting so long. He has 1-speed and that is SLOW! IT’s like that every time I am lucky enough to catch them open. I finally just left and drove to the Bountiful post office vowing to never go back. Ridiculous!!!

I love talking with Scott, we have kids the same age in college, very relatable. He is fast, efficient and friendly. The open/close hours could be better but that’s up to the boys in corporate.

Cant say I relate to any of the negative reviews. The only time its closed is during closing hours and for lunch which is listed here on its google entry. From what Ive experienced its only one dude running the place and hes always super polite and quick with his customers. I can understand why the one hour lunch when he has to do everything at the front end. If you can read the opening hours and, I dont know, not be so highly sensitive about everything? You should be good. Its a post office, an efficient one, thats all you need.

I had a notice left at my door for an attempt to deliver that directed me to go to the Bountiful office. The clerk at the Bountiful office apologized and informed me that the carrier made a mistake and Id have to go to the North Salt Lake branch. I have been to the North Salt Lake branch three times and like every time in the past the clerk acted as through helping me was getting in the way of something important. I told him about what had happened and asked if the carrier could be notified. Instead of acknowledging the issue he threw away the notice and said it happens sometimes.

I swear, this place is rarely open. Im sure who needs an hour-long lunch? Also, most people go to the mailbox during lunch because its closed after business hours. When ever I attempt to leave a package when the office is closed, the package slot is blocked from another package being stuck so I then have to go to another PO anyway.I have my own postage machine to avoid such complications and I just think if youre not going to be there regularly, you should have a big enough slot to take packages.

Ive lived 3 blocks west of the North Salt Lake Post Office for 24 years. When I first moved here with my family, August 1991, I was very happy, to discover the Post Office was within walking distance from my home. I loved this Branch more in the beginning of my residency here. I still love, for me, the convenience, my home of being so near this Post Office, but really only for its convenience for me, and my family, and not in the time it takes to get my business done in a timely manner. I saved the better part, of my review, for last on purpose. I want to end on a more positive note. Postmaster Muir had always been so kind, and caring, to his customers. He gets to know us, on a personal level, which you wont find anywhere else in the busy area we live in. This is due a lot to the towns beginnings. North Salt Lake started as a small community where everyone knew their neighbors and fostered a family oriented place to live. Muir exemplifies those beginnings and does so in an extremely well fashion. But there are those who arent educated in certain facts, of which, ive learned sure to my, over 2 decades, of residing in North Salt Lake. I feel the #1 fact for anyone who frequents this Branch of the Post Office, that being the branch of North Salt Lake, needs to know is that in my first decade residing here, 1991-2001, this Timely Manner issue

Slowest post office Ive ever encountered. Theres a line going out the door and the worker continues to bullshit with the guy at the counter. On a side note... People, package your items before you get to the post office. If you want to know what the cost is going to be in one box compared to another. Measure and weigh the damn thing and look it up on the usps website. Really!!!

These reviewers are all a bunch of babies. Ive been going to this post office for over 10 years and yes the lines are long at certain times but what do you expect from a small place with only one employee? This guy has to do everything by himself in an 8 hour period. He takes care of all the incoming mail for the PO Boxes, manages the Box accounts, sorts outgoing mail, and runs the front desk. And the poor guy usually has to stay overtime because he is very good about servicing everyone in line at the moment the clock hits the closing time. He shuffles everyone in and locks the door and completes their transactions. I think he gives great customer service. And those complaining about the limited hours? Its a small, one-man post office! He should only have to work 8 hours a day. Like the the majority of the country. I think its great he gets a nice one hour lunch. Yes its frustrating to go there around 1pm and find it closed, but you learn quickly when the best times to go mail packages are. Its not that hard people. If you dont want a huge line, dont go there half hour before closing time when everyone is off work. And around Christmas, go to Bountiful if possible. Instead of complaining and being negative, just figure out alternatives. North Salt Lake PO is doing the best they can. I mostly dealt with employee Russ at this location before his retirement, who many reviewers have been calling the old guy and rude. He is actually the sweetest man Ive met in town, with a great sense of humor. He lost his wife to cancer and even had some health issues himself, and he is a very accomplished organist. He gets to know the customer personally and lets them get to know him too. He even remembered my name when I bumped into him at the grocery store. And he remembered that I had a daughter who I had only brought in one time and he would ask about her from time to time during my visits to the post office. Maybe if reviewers would care more, they would have learned what a nice and interesting guy he truly is and how hard he worked for us.

What a bunch of lazy, rude, completely inconsiderate jackholes!!! The people that work at this location are the reason why the USPS is going out of business and people are using FedEx and UPS almost exclusively. We were supposed to have a very important Xmas package delivered yesterday to my husbands work. Their business stays open until 7pm. Instead of walking up and attempting to deliver the mail person assumed that the business was closed and now my kids wont be getting their Xmas presents from their grandparents in time for Xmas. May karma bite you all in the ass for that!!!

I generally dont review things, but Im making an exception to help out future customers. This post office is the worst on the planet! They are slow, disrespectful, and rude. They are completely unwilling to go above and beyond to help. I absolutely dread it when an online retailer ships something to me because I know Ill have to jump through the hoops with this horrible post office to get my package. Best advice I can give: shell out a couple extra bucks and do your business through UPS. And avoid this post office if at all possible.
