This is the best gym I’ve ever taken my little girl to. She loves Ms. Becky and is excited to go to cheer each and every week. I was a cheerleader growing up so it’s been so fun to see how rev is training her and to see her love for the sport grow.
My little sister has always dreamed of tumbling and becoming a cheerleader and RA made that happen. I love her to death but she isnt the most coordinated individual but the coaches really took the time to work one-on-one to help her reach her goals. I could feel from the second I walked into the gym how much passion and dedication those athletes have. They are truly a family and everyone deserve to experience a bond like that! My sister would always come home with lessons/skills she learned - not necessarily related to tumbling/cheer but life in general - and was always excited to come back next practice and tell her coaches how she applied those skills. We LOVE revolution athletics and couldnt imagine going anywhere else!
My daughter has always been so shy and so quiet. Plagued by the anxieties of life at such a young age. My husband and I tried everything from counseling, extra help in school, soccer, dance teams, scheduling play dates only to be stood up by those she considered “friends”, and so forth. We were really worried until she mentioned wanting to try cheer/gymnastics and after doing some rigorous research on the right company- we found Rev. all of the sudden she burst out of her shell. Started becoming more talkative and outgoing, fearless if you will. Coach Becky is our daughters favorite and comes home after every 1 on 1 training with a huge smile on her face feeling seen and wanted. I cannot recommend Revolution athletics and coach Becky more to those of you wanting to expand your child’s love for life and trying new things. It can be scary at times for these little ones- but I learned quickly that Rev is a family, not a team.
Ive been affiliated with Revolution Athletics since it began. My daughter cheered there and now coaches. Jason and Shelley run a first-class operation. They strive to make sure the athletes have a positive experience. While winning is important (and they do!), they teach the importance of teamwork and having fun! Highly recommend.
I would like to revisit a review I left three years ago for this establishment. First, I would like to say that my mind hasn’t changed and I still stand by the one star I gave in the first place. Second, I would like to address that I am a teammates older sister so I have witnessed firsthand the toll that it has taken on her mentally, physically and emotionally (RA, this may be why you don’t have my information in your records). She has been a part of Revolution Athletics going on three years. To say it has been a difficult journey would be an understatement. She recently made the decision to pull herself out due to the abuse she has endured, especially over the recent months. My mother is a single mother, recently widowed and does her very best to keep up with what my opinion is an outrageous amount for what they put these kids through. Shelley Byers, one of the coaches, has been especially difficult and told my mother a few years back that she “shouldn’t have enrolled in the first place had she known she couldn’t afford it.” Throughout the years, I have watched as my sister’s mental health declined over countless incidents where the coaches would humiliate her in front of her teammates over minor things, such as being five minutes late to practice (my sister is too young to drive, and children shouldn’t be punished for something the parents or otherwise are responsible for). She recently injured her back from overuse from her attempts to give 110% (something many other girls have experienced) and has been chastised by the coaches for not being back to 100% after taking a two month break from her tumbling. Cheerleading is something my sister is extremely passionate about and has loved for a very long time, however Revolution has become such a toxic environment that she feels it no longer brings her joy. I could go on and on about the bullying and toxicity this place brings, however I feel that I’ve said enough. If you are considering enrolling your child here, take note that the majority of the positive reviews left on Google are written by staff members and not the general public. Revolution, I dearly hope you try to make a change and that this doesn’t happen to anyone else in the future.
I’m an athlete of 5 years and a recent coach. This gym has been my safe place for so long and I absolutely adore all the other coaches and athletes here. Everyone gives 110% at all times. The coaches are like my second set of parents and the environment is so loving as soon as you walk into the gym.
My daughter started here the first year they opened when she was 10 and we were new to Utah. The first friends we made were here and Revolution Athletics became our family. She literally grew up at this gym. I saw some negative posts recently and it really saddens me. Im sorry this girl had such a bad experience, but that is not the norm. These coaches are anything but toxic. As a matter of fact, when we first discovered my daughters severe anxiety I asked if it was too much pressure and she asked me not to take her out. It was a refuge for her. We love Revolution Athletics and wed definitely recommend them.
I love this gym more than anything! I have got to build friendships that turn into families. Revolution is just a positive environment and I love being there!
My daughter has been coming to Revolution since 2014, when she joined their Competitive cheer team. What I love most is how they teach tumbling and stunting techniques. It is of high performance to teach the right way. She has felt a great connection with her coaches as well as her teammates. I cant over emphasize the rewarding experience she will take with her and life skills she will utilize for the rest of her life. Thank you to her coaches Kelbi, Jason and Shelley for being such a great influence in her life. I highly recommend this gym to anyone.
I love rev
I cheered here for two years, and just loved it! The environment is always positive, and the coaches challenge you to be your best! I learned so much, and grew as not only an athlete, but also a person. If your child is interested in cheerleading, this is definitely the place! Also, this third year gym is really on the rise! Theyve attending Worlds twice, making it to semi finals in 2017, and the D2 Summit twice, taking home first place also in 2017! (My sister was on the winning team!) I competed at the first Summit they attended, and it is an experience I will never forget.
Love all of the athletes and coaches here. i have been coaching here since we opened the doors in 2014 and i have loved every second of it. Cant wait for many more amazing years at Rev.
Amazing coaches!!
