Went to buy a specific chainsaw, but after asking advice was talked into heavier duty model. However after completing my project it was 100% the right choice. Competitively priced and they dont spike prices based on demand. Helpful no pressure salesmen, will come back. Only complaint...chainsaw chain was mounted backwards...πŸ˜‚.

Almost can give them a 5 star rating. Was introduced to them when they bought out Pro Equipment. Great staff from Pro Equipment and new people. Very helpful, courteous. Have great landscaping equipment for sale and do an even better job on repairs. We’ve bought our first Kubota here. Was such an easy experience. 0% interest. Looking forward to buying bigger machinery from here as our business expands.

Was told a piece of rental equipment would be available on a certain day, when called on the day it was expected to be available was told it was not available but would be available the next day. Called later that same day to verify that machine would be available the next day was rudley told it would not be available due to mechanical issues. Was given a time frame of one week before machine would be available. Called after the week and was rudely again told machine wasnt available. I asked to be contacted when machine was repaired as I needed it to complete a job. My information was taken and I would be called asap when machine was fixed. 3 weeks went by and I called to inquire about machine and was told that the machine was repaired and it was already being rented. I never received a call and asked to rent it for tomorrow and was told it was not available. Very disattisfied with rental department. Sales experience has also been poor here. Will not be returning for any sales or rental needs and advise others to look elsewhere.

Great experience! We’ve had an ongoing home construction/landscaping project at our home for several months now. It’s been going on for longer than either of us would have liked due to the temperamental New England weather and my husband’s demanding work schedule… but we are ecstatic to have connected with MB Tractor and Equipment- North Reading as they really pulled through for us this week!Peter the manager could not have been more accommodating and helpful with regard to our specific needs. We really felt that he went out of his way for us. My husband has rented a KX080 excavator for the weekend. The team brought it out to us and could not have been easier to work with. The equipment is high quality and my husband is thrilled with the experience so far! Highly recommend these guys for equipment rentals and I’m sure we will be using them again soon.

Incredible customer service from Brian Winters at MB North Reading. I was in a real pinch when another Stihl dealer had my new equipment in their shop but then closed their doors 2 hours before my scheduled pickup without contacting me to pick it up.I called up MB and Brian found all 3 pieces that I needed from their other MB locations and had them delivered to his location and assembled by noon the next day! Amazing. They have earned my future business with one responsive effort.

I had a good shopping experience at MB Woburn. I spoke with Brian Winters about my property needs and we went over some mowers. He is a knowledgeable no pressure salesman. He just wanted to help me find the right mower. I ended up purchasing a Wright Stander mower to tackle my property. Thanks for your help Brian.

We have been looking for a new lawn mower, and after some research, went to MB Tractor in Woburn. Brian Winters went over options of mowers with us. He was knowledgeable about each of the product lines, and did NOT try to upsell us at any point. The browsing and purchase was a calm, no-hassle experience. After our decision, he gave a demonstration of the Honda mower we purchased, so we could put it right to work. The machine worked perfectly, and we got two lawns mowed quickly. I recommend this dealer and this sales person without hesitation.

I have purchased 10 walker mowers from them and they have serviced everything from our mowers to our pipe pullers. They have become family over the years and I would never consider doing business with anyone else. I wish all of my vendors were as honest and fair as Joe and Paul.

I bought a Honda lawnmower from them in 2016, it leaked oil 3 months after, so I took it to them for warranty work to find the leak and fix it. After keeping the mower for weeks they claimed did not find anything. A few months after the mower leaked oil again so called today and asked how long they need it for to diagnose, a lady on the phone said 1 week. After I unloaded it from my vehicle and they took it inside their shop the guy behind the counter named Brian, who is rudest person I have seen in a while, said at least 2 weeks needed to them to look at it. I asked to see a manager and he said he is the manager, so I asked to can make sure the techs look thoroughly at the issue and find the leak, he said there no one to do that. Really ? You are the manager but there is no one who can ensure the technicians do a good job ? I left the oil spill on the equipment this time so that there Is no excuse. I will be also reporting them to Honda for the un professional and rude behavior and will be taking my equipment back to elsewhere.

Listed as Ariens service provider. Called ahead, was told 2-3 weeks for snowblower tune-up. Brought machine, then told we really dont know, could be 2 weeks, maybe 6, dont know what to tell ya - we can help load it back in your truck if you want. Told him no thanks. Guy behind counter should never be dealing with public. Looks like a professionally run, clean store with lots of equipment. Wouldnt go back there if service was for free.

Rude, Ill-informed and ineffective.I walked in to Pro Service on a Friday afternoon with 2 Husqvarna chains and a 30 year old McCullough chain saw that had belonged to my father. There was an older couple looking at snowblowers ahead of me, and 2 men who came in after I did.The man at the desk was helping someone else so I stood nearby to wait my turn. The large bald man that was helping the older couple on the sales floor saw the 2 men walk in the door and immediately asked them if they needed any help. They indicated to him that I had come in before them and so he should help me first.I told him that the 2 chains needed sharpening and that I wanted to buy a 3rd chain for the same saw. I asked if the old saw could be repaired, and he said no before I had even asked the question. He then shouted at me that that thing was at least 30 years old. What would I want to repair that for? There is nothing on this planet that is 30 years old that is worth fixing! I disagreed with him but kept it to myself. Often its the tools and appliance built over 30 years ago that are the ONLY ones worth fixing. Clearly I just need to bring the saw to someone else.Moving on, I told him I also need a bar plate nut for the Husqvarna. A what? I dont even know what that is he says to me. I told him that this is a nut to hold the bar plate. Oh, you mean a bar nut he says. Rolls his eyes, goes in the back to get the nut. Because he was so demonstrative about how foolish I was to ask for a bar plate nut when what I wanted was a bar nut, I took a photo of the item to send to my husband to confirm this was the correct thing before I left the store. He huffs and puffs and says, pointing at the 2 guys who came in after me, I gotta wait on these people here I cant wait for you to call your husband! I told him I would also like to buy a replacement chain. (As Id mentioned when he first spoke to me, all of 90 seconds ago) He says he cant get that right now, he has to cut it off a spool, yadda yadda..... It will take 2 days, same as the amount of time to sharpen the existing chains. He charged me $20 to sharpen 2 chains and to sell me a single nut. He told me the chains would be ready on Tuesday. After I left the customer behind me ran up to me in the parking to tell me that he thought that it was unbelievable how rude they were to me.I brought the McCullough down the street to Power Tool Equipment and they were happy to look at it for us. And much more friendly!I went to pick up the chains on Wednesday, a day after they were promised. When I arrived the same guy told me that they werent ready. Really. I said. He threw his arms up in the air and yelled: I dunno what to tell you! I got no one here to do it!I took my money back and my dull chains and I will never ever set foot in that place again. What a nightmare.

Unfortunately after spending $339 to have my snowblower fixed, I have had nothing but problems. They had my snowblower for two months and had delivered to me supposedly fixed on 12/13 just before our first snowstorm. Not 5 minutes into having it fixed bolts fell on the main shoot and the auger belt fell off. That left me and my 64 yr old wife to shovel for hours including the second storm two days later. After stopping payment I finally received a call when they realized I stopped payment asI was about to bring it to Sears that same day. I decided to bring it back to Pro Equipment, they fixed the belt issue and I paid my bill. Today 1/3/14 after clearing all the snow from this major storm, the initial problem resurfaced. The wheels wont engage while the engine was running, at least we were able to get through the storm. I specifically asked if it was worth fixing for $339 and I was assured it was, at that was a lot of repair money to spend on a snowblower. Havent decided if Im going to call and discuss this issue or just move on. They knew I had a problem after the first storm as we discussed it on the phone. Not until did they realize I actually stopped payment on the check did they call me back about two weeks later.

As the business owner, this is my opportunity to respond to the past negative Google reviews listed here. As far as the D Perault review we rectified the situation to his satisfaction at no cost in a timely fashion. The Mercier review was a customer that came in with a handheld blower he purchased online that was not setup by the retailer properly. He came in with it, asked us to make it right and was told the charge would be $34, which he agreed. Upon returning to pick it up he refused to pay for the service and called the manufacturer, and a lot of other people, until the manufacturer called us and said they would cover the cost on a goodwill basis just to appease the customer. Google reviewer number 5, because he decided to review anonymously, had his mower repaired, got it back in working order, a week later the mower broke again with a completely different problem, we offered to fix it for just the cost of the parts, and he thought we should fix it at no cost which we didnt agree on so his response was to give us a bad review. In some cases the customer has had reason to be upset and review us accordingly but its frustrating to see negative reviews given to us just because the customer was unreasonable. We try to work with all our customers so that they all leave satisfied, and in most cases over the past 25 years, thats been the outcome. Unfortunately, it seems that the satisfied customers rarely post good reviews.
