Ordered a compressor for my granddaughters 2006 Volvo. The compressor arrived, the mechanic installed it, and the clutch was defective.I now have to pay the mechanic to take off the defective one and install another compressor (which I did not buy form R & Y a/c, once was enough).When I called the company to voice my displeasure (in a professional and normal tone) the customer service rep was incredibly rude and hung up on me. I then called to speak with a manger, and again was hung up on. They must have caller ID, because when I call they never answer the phone.I wish I had done better research about this company. They claim to have 4 plus stars, but if you really research them you will find a different story.The worst company Ive ever done business with!

Been using R&Y Compressors for a few years now. They usually have what Im looking for at a reasonable price.My Contact Jesse is constantly going out of her way to make sure Im happy and get my compressor in a timely manner for the right price. Even though Im all the way in Jacksonville I get my compressor the next day usually by noon.Thank you Jesse I will continue to keep using you as long as you can keep putting up with me. LoL!

I got a reman Ac compressor from them and i had a great experience with them for my 06 Corvette, it arrived in 2 days, install and working awesome, the lady that answers the phone and took my order she was really knowledgeable and called me back confirming it was sent.I would buy again from them .Its good to have Ac again.thankx guys.

Be careful buying any of their remanufactured compressors, they lied about testing them. I’ve purchased an ac compressor that they claimed it’s been tested for noise and leaks and I installed that for $500 labor. First test drive it was making a whining noise and won’t go away unless turning the ac off. I called them and they offered a refund or replacement for that! And I’m gonna be responsible for $500 labor!!! If that compressor was truly been tested it wouldn’t make that noise. Basically wasted $640 for nothing. DON’T BUY THEIR PARTS.

My experience with R & Y has been horrible. I ordered a remanufactured compressor and I tested the part upon arrival. Connecting the compressor to the battery, no click. Meaning the clutch is malfunctioning. I called and R & Y was nice enough to send me another compressor free of charge. I specifically asked them to test it before sending it to me. When the second one arrived, the clutch was working fine, however, I did a compression check and there is none!!!! The clutch just spins without compressing air. It takes 3 compressors to get it right with this company. Im never ordering from them again. Prices are great but order at your own risk.

This company shipped me two consecutive defective A/C compressors. After I received the second one I decided to take my business elsewhere and went through the hassle of shipping both defective compressors back for a refund. They have not given me a refund and wont even answer my emails or my phone calls. This place has bad products and horrible customer service. Dont waste your time or money here--this place basically stole $200 from me.

Got a 2016 compressor for a mercedes Benz c300 at I was a little skeptical but the part fits perfectly and shipping was fast which was a great added bonus.

Dont like it already. I ordered a compressor yesterday using overnight fed ex. The compressor still hasnt been shipped out. Whats the point in paying for overnight delivery if r&y doesnt ship the unit out within 24 hours? I order parts online frequently and everyone else ships the part at the end off the business day when it was ordered. Now Im reading other reviews here and learning the quality off the parts arent that great. So its Thursday and fed ex doesnt deliver on weekends. So if I dont have part tomorrow, Ill be without my car all weekend.

I bought two compressors for two different cars and both compressors were bad. I first bought a rebuilt compressor for my 2011 Nissan Altima and when I put it on, it immediately started making noises. I called R&Y and they sent a replacement but that compressor didn’t even work. I then bought a rebuilt compressor for my wife’s 2011 Chrysler 200 and I was sent a V6 3.6 compressor instead of a 2.4 compressor. I called and got the replacement but when I put that compressor on it’s also started knocking. I returned the compressor for my wife’s Chrysler but I couldn’t return the compressor for my Nissan because it was out of warranty. I eventually bought a rebuilt compressor from oriellys and it is working great. It took me calling R&Y over two weeks and six phone calls before I got back $258.99 out of the $286.99 I spent. This company sells faulty and bogus parts. It looks like they use old bad compressors and just clean it up and respray. I would suggest everyone stay away from this company

I bought a remanufactured compressor for my 2008 CR-V. Installed it and it works perfectly BUT the clutch works intermittently. They are sending me a new remanufactured one, but my faith in them is very low now. Also keep in mind if you buy one of their remanufactured compressors and it fails, they dont cover replacement, freon, or anything if you have to get it replaced. The compressor also came with a poor spray paint job which I honestly wouldve preferred was omitted due to the overspray on the pulley and the grounding surface. I probably wouldnt buy their stuff remanufactured. For just a couple bucks more you can have a new one. It was nice the compressor came pre filled with oil. Im disappointed I have to take my car apart again and replace the compressor again. The least they couldve done was provide a new one since Im going to have to pay a ton again to have it replaced again. Edit: After reading more reviews having the same issue, Im returning it and buying a new one from a different company that also includes the seals for the system for the same price. Im very disappointed. Take your money elsewhere.Edit 2: the manager had called me shortly after I posted this review. Instead of trying to fix anything, they went ahead and just cancelled the order based off the review. Returning should be easy enough and the company is going to issue a full refund at least.

I told them I had to pay for labor to take the defective one out and put my old one back in they told me basically it’s not there problem, that they would give me a refund only for the part. I will be getting a lawyer involved!!

Bought a refurbished compressor which lasted about a year and three months. I want to buy a new compressor from these guys, but with recent bad reviews within the last month, I’m kind of disappointed to see all the negative feedback and guess I’m going to have to pay dealer prices for a oem compressor, smh

This is the worst auto parts store I have ever experienced. First, the AC Compressor for my 2012 Forester did not fit, not a big deal. I immediately returned it to the return address as shipped, at my expense. I reported my return to ebay and to R & Y. Three days later, I received a shipping label from R & Y but did not use it because the return had already shipped. The address was different than the return address on the package, but I was sure that could straighten out later. When no word of refund, I contacted them again and explained that I used the return address on their shipping package, and gave them my tracking number that showed it arrived to their shipping return address on March 29. Then ebay announced that since the item was not returned(!), the refund would be cancelled! I called R & Y on the phone and customer rep said yes she saw it had arrived to the warehouse from which it was shipped, and refund would come in a couple of working days. She would forward it to her boss. Weeks later, still no refund and ebay announced the account was cancelled! To make long story short, many phone calls, many emails and explanations by me and excuses by them, and finally I got word that the refund manager at R & Y was never going to refund because the account was cancelled by ebay!! I believe the explanation is clear. I believe the refund guy told ebay that the item was never returned, in spite of my letters, the tracking number, and assurances by others at R & Y that it had indeed arrived; and on that bogus allegation, ebay cancelled. Then he used the ebay cancellation as the basis to refuse the refund!! What a scam!! Those people have the pristine unused compressor that didnt fit. They have my $247.08; and they have the thick face to brush it off because of that misinformation, conveyed to ebay by them, which I believe was purposeful. Yes, it did not go to the headquarters at R & Y; but it certainly DID return to the warehouse from which it was shipped, at an additional $34.85 at my expense. In my view, that was a deliberate trick by the refund department at R & Y. I cannot see how it could be anything else. In my view, I have been scammed by crooked people at this establishment. I would never recommend anyone to trust them; and in my view behavior like this should be reported to the FTC, not just complained about on google reviews. Even if it was some sort of misunderstanding, there is no excuse to be thick faced for months on end, unwilling to even lift a finger to help a customer who has been conscientious and patiently acting in good faith. That is my deep and sincere opinion of R & Y AC Compressors, based on my personal experience.

I paid for expitdited shipping. They sent an obviously broken compressor. They have not returned emails. When you call, your placed in an automated system that does not respond to input. I have not been able to return the compressor because they have not responded to any inquiries.

Purchased a remanufactured compressor for a 2015 suburban. 2 days after it was installed the compressor was shot. The warranty doesn’t cover the cost of labor even though I was told on the phone that it does. So I have to pay to have it installed, removed, and a new one installed with the fear of this happening again. The prices are very cheap but I guess you get what you pay for. I would not recommend them.

Recently ordered a AC compressor for my VW. It was easy finding the right one on their website. Ordered it. Received it quickly. Installed it myself today, regassed the system and it worked perfect. I hope that the remanufactured one will last a while at least. Dont hesitate to order from them. I will definitely do business with them again.

Of course the mechanic charged me for taking the broken one off and having to put it back on again due to the new compressor not being the right one When I called R & Y they would not even give me a discount on what I paid for the compressor due to the extra cost I would have to get the compressor installed again by a mechanic The customer service representative was extremely rude and uncaring . Pay a little more if you have too from someone else, stay away from these guys.. Pete

3 A/C compressors later and still have yet to have one successfully work. I finally purchased a new one from R&Y only to receive a cracked one with oil leaking everywhere for my BMW. R&Y claims I installed the “new” one, yet all I did was take it out of the box. R&Y then blocked my phone number and refuses to speak to me about their constant screw ups. Save yourself the time and money and order from somewhere else. R&Y will be talking to my credit card company soon about this problem, as I had no choice but dispute the payments.Edit: When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was transferred to another line to receive no answer as the call timed out. After that, I attempted to call the original number and extension again to only go straight to voicemail, along with another attempt this morning to call. That is not “accommodating” or doing “everything you possibly could.”

R&Y compressor Sent me a compressor that was cut. I waited days to receive my compressor from this company. I call the company to let them know that my compressor was damaged and couldnt be used. I spoke with sandra and after I sent her pictures of the compressor she stopped responding to me. I was on hold with this company for 2 hours with not one answer. The only way I was able to get this company to respond back to me about the damaged compressor that was sent to me was by leaving a review on google. The only thing they could offer me was my money back or resend another compressor out. This company customer service team sucks. Its very hard to get anyone to answer here. So far 3 compressors purchased and installed. A Chevy Blazer, Nissan Altima, and 2010 VW. All three are reported back as still working great after a few months. The VW replacement did have an initial issue with the RCV. Contact was made and a replacement valve was shipped. While awaiting that replacement, the alleged new on in the compressor started working and has not had an issue since.Shipping time varies. Dont upgrade for faster as they may not actually have what you purchase in stock. Once shipped, it comes timely.

I ordered a rebuilt compressor from R&Y. It came a few days later. The compressor was working properly. I called the N. Miami store and without question they shipped out another the next day. The second had a issue also. They sent me return labels and apologized for the inconvenience..Because of the swift and excellent excellent customer service I asked about a new one. Which was $150.00 cheaper than and online or at Advance auto. They applied a credit and I paid the difference. All without receiving the used ones yet. This is and was the best experience I have had ordering online parts. I have 15 year old car and they far exceeded my expectations. Thanks to the ladies in the office, I now have cold AC in the Corolla again.

First & foremost, their prices are great but the compressors are not worthy. I purchased a re-manufactured compressor & the thing did not work. They warrantied it, but sent a damaged one on the second try. After, emails & calling customer service with pics about the damaged one, they sent the wrong compressor on the the third try. Mind you, its a month & a half time since the first compressor & summer is setting in. So, they sent me an email with shipping label to send back the wrong compressor for a refund, but did not keep their word as it has been over a week since they received the returned compressor. I finally purchased a new compressor through the automotive shop doing the work & now have my AC working.Long story short, if you are trying to save money with R&Y dont do it. I spent $440 more than if I would of purchased the compressor from the automotive shop.

Ordered a rebuilt AC Compressor. According to Fed Ex and RY. It was delivered. I know sometimes Fed Ex will mark a package delivered when it’s not. I waited a few extra days and STILL no item. Jacob, The Owner of the Company.. Read my review and called me personally. After explaining the whole scenario, He apologized profusely. I explained to him, I sincerely didn’t believe it to be RY’S fault. This totally falls on FED EX! Jacob, personally made sure there was a refund issued which I will have back in my bank in 24 Hours. That personable service, Totally changed my opinion of this experience. He, They could have kept my money and said ( Sorry about your luck ) But, He didn’t ! He went above and beyond to make this right. Should I ever need anything again. RY will be my first choice. I’m just going to see if I can pay more and have it shipped through someone else. I have a feeling FED EX has cost this small business a lot of money and probably a few bad reviews. The fault in this problem lies purely with FED EX. Not RY! My thanks to Jacob and his staff. Absolute horrible customer service. Do not buy anything from this company. Last year I bought a compressor for $125 and this year the price has increased to $159. Of course the compressor I bought last year and it went out shortly. They offer 6 month warranty but I live in Illinois and therefore I dont use ac constantly. I had to get a new compressor again this year. They said they will refund me the difference as a one time courtesy, but when I called them they are saying that they will only provide a 15% discount. Bunch of liars and the lady that I spoke on the phone is just nasty and has horrible communication skills. When you ask for manager they say that he is not here. Pathetic.

I too was sold a bad compressor that was suppose to be rebuilt. Within a month the compressor started making a weird tapping noise and i had it checked by 3 different people. All the same result. RY compressors did not refund me any of the money. They only cared about getting the part back and never responded back to me after waiting for some type of refund. 😖 So yes this place is very unprofessional and lacks consistent customer service. !

Got a “remanufactured” AC Clutch for my car, and got dizzy from the smell of spray paint while pulling it out of the box. The components are dirty, chipped, and even RUSTED in some spots. Not to mention the wiring is in bad shape too. They make their website seem friendly and legitimate but they sell you cheap junk.Do Not Recommend.

Now I’m trying to get someone on the phone to fix the mistake and after waiting 4 hours on the phone and getting hung up on over a dozen times when I finally get my turn in line! I am a little bit aggravated. This is the 4th time I have sat on hold for more than 10 minutes. I cant seem to get anyone to answer!! I even called at 8:30 sharp when they first open!! I ordered a part on Wednesday and it is now Friday and it has not shipped. The website indicates 1 business day shipping.Update: I was finally able to get ahold of someone she helped me out and said she will make sure that the compressor gets sent out today.

Customer service, especially Jessie, is a big PLUS. She credited my credit card immediately after I indicated the problem. The credit was for $15. Not much, but at least she did not give me the run around, and/or wasted my time.All parts fit my vehicle except for an evaporator that was sent with the kit. This evaporator was definitely not for this car. I wish I could have rated this transaction a five, but there is no excuse for sending a wrong item as part of a kit.

This is the worse place to shop, they sent me a BMW compressor for my Benz, the cost of labor was not refunded for their mistake. Then they sent out a replacement and it had a leak, they never took responsibility and wouldnt even cover the return cost for the postage. Then after the 3 replacement they put a manifold on the compressor that replacement leaked and they wouldnt take my calls. If I had the time I would take them to court! Im from Chicago, but if I was there these crooks would pay for ripping me off! Spend the extra money people and use a reputable company and leave these clowns alone!

I needed to return a compressor, so I emailed a return request form. I got an email back telling me to return it to a certain address, but no return label. It cost me $40 to return!!! I wont be using them again.

Ive been in sales most of my life and can honestly say that customer service is the backbone of any company. A bad customer service department/representative will eat a business inside out while a great customer service department/representative will make everyone in the company look good and unfortunately most individuals go unnoticed.Well, Jessie hasnt gone unnoticed to me. Just got my car back from the shop. Mechanic told me the compressor is not very good quality. There is barely any cold air coming from the vents. He recommended me to buy a different air compressor and would install it at no additional cost since i had a defective ac compressor. I hope I can return it. I hope this company stands behind their product.

Compressor stopped working in 5 days. Compressor blew out the AC fuse 3 times and finally the whole compressor burned inside. I’ll revisit my review if the manager in store could do something. The sales rep over the phone said talk to the manager we can’t warranty a remanufactured compressor. I bought it 7 months ago and installed it last month with full receipts. Warranty should be from the date of install not date of purchase. Date of purchase doesnt make sense — think about it.

I received a Remand compressor this week that DID NOT WORK! The clutch wouldn’t engage therefore, I have no cool air! The part looks to have been painted but Used! After about 30 minutes to an hour of trying to get cold air the compressor began to STALL and eventually LOCKED UP! This caused 2 of my belts to rip apart and break!!!! All of this happened TODAY! So now I have to pay for labor costs TWICE after going out to purchase a brand new compressor for twice the price! We will see how the warranty and return process goes with Amazon. I tried contacting RY customer service with no luck. Long story short, I’ll be leaving another review very soon. I have a toddler and it’s 84 degrees out today. This was VERY disappointing.

Jessie was so professional. if it had not been for her committed professionalism helping me to attain the compressor I needed for my auto. it would have take me over 7 days on Ebay to attain 1. she is a most definite asset to your business and should be commended accordingly.

They are a fast and reliable company when it comes to there rebuild units! The only thing is there new units are low quality and have had three defective ones. So get there rebuilt O.E.M. units that are highly quality 💯

Such a horrible experience first I find the company on eBay live about 20 min away so I call them to verify I can pick up local they say yes. So the next day I call again to verify availability and tell me a 30 dollar higher price I questioned the price she then told me local people pay more ??? I’m confused local business is what kept you alive so you can prosper online why should we pay more ?? So I end up driving over leaving work early to get there on time and when I arrive they tell me it’s no ready tomorrow which is ridiculous they tell me next day and would call me prompt! at 2 o clock I decide to call my self because I went to work early and had been off already for an hour waiting she tells me oh ya it’s ready I hang up the phone and just decided to deal with a more respectable company

I purchased a compressor from these guys back at the end of March due to the fact that they were much cheaper than the brick and mortar stores here in Arkansas. About a month after I had bought the compressor, it started making a noise as if a bearing was going out before ultimately going out. I experienced a little trouble trying to make contact with the sales staff before ultimately being contacted by the Vice President of the company. He was very polite and understanding. After a brief conversation with him, he sent me a replacement and two cans of refrigerant. He didn’t have to do this but he won my business from here on out. I would definitely recommend them on their customer service alone. You won’t be disappointed.

Sold me a defective remanufactured compressor, theyre willing to take it back but now I get to go without a car until I get a new compressor. Customer service not very friendly and online support is super slow. Cant recommend their remanufactured items to anyone, cause youll probly be doin the work again. !!BEWARE!!

I had contacted R&Y AC and talk to Jesse in customer service, I told her I would need part by friday, This was a rebuilt part and she said they would get ready and if she had any problems she would let me know, I got a call back from Jesse to tell me the rebuilt compressor was not ready, but she new I needed the compressor and she said they were sending me a new compresser. I love the fact that they are so considerate.... i drove about 80 miles to get this part and jessi had everything all ready and waiting for me on the counter...in and out less than 7 minutes.. 7 stars service... I would definitely recommend them over and over again! 9.16.2019So to add to this post...I could not find my receipt for this same part but guess what Jessi made it happen again through her exceptional customer service and understanding i was able to get a replacement part within a day for warranty purposes... This literally moved me and im am so happy i was in her care again... Great company but this is a special individual who deserves more credit for all the good they put out.. Jessie is one of the customer representative that always answer and is very polite and knowledgeable. I have had compressors that was defective and she warranty them out sent me a new one keep good communication through out the process and she personally overseen the whole process to make sure it went smooth even gave me an option for refund. I recommend this company for them reasons.
