Do not sign a contract with this company! They hold you to a contract and there is no way out they also force you to buy weapons constantly. The weapons are cheaply made and the last one we bought we never even recieved! All ATA classes are a con just be smart and go learn somewhere elses thats not money hungry!

I go here the staff care for you and your kids and the event camps are so fun and dont believe to the people saying its a scam its not and reason we charge so much is because we need are pay

Be very careful before signing any contracts with this company. A communication barrier exists; and when you get locked into contract there isnt a way to get out and there are continuous upcharges for the children to advance on top of the monthly payments.

My familys ATA experience has been so great! The instructors are amazing and so helpful. My two kids 4 and 7 really look up to them and feel wanted and comfortable. Ive been taking for a while now and am more confident each day due to the self defense and workout twice weekly. Would recommend this school to anyone looking for a family school that also can have an edge for those looking for self defense confidence and a great workout all under one roof. Thanks ATA!

I cant explain the impact this place has had on my life. During my years of training, I learned hard-work, how to be a leader, and gained confidence. It was a positive place that I wanted to be everyday. I am able to face all types of situations today because I was given a chance to develop and build confidence in a safe environment. The instructors take their job seriously and provide top quality instruction. Ive moved out of state, but there is no doubt that if we ever move back, I will be enrolling my children. Im so grateful for the all the experiences and training I received.

I also was going to take my son to martial arts, cause I took it. Instead of the first class being free I was pretty much charged for it. Then I found out it cost me $200.00 a month, 3 times more than an average class. After just a few weeks I did not have the money to pay for it. Also if my kids transfered, I will still be charged. I was told it was taken care of, but no they are still charging me. Like I hear, this place is a money scam just to keep it in business

ATA schools are the best!! This location is is larger and offers many class options. Great staff and wonderful instructors!! We love being a part of Arkansas All Star Martial arts. I highly recommend this for any child:)) And those with special abilities, they grow so much doing Taekwondo.

The instructors are not bad people, but the business is more concerned about profit than learning. They get you to sign a contract because they know how expensive all the weapons will cost and if you didnt have an obligation, you would most likely walk away. We knew up front that there would be weapons to purchase, but we were under the assumption that it would be at our own pace. This is not the case, instead they do group graduations (50bucks) every 8 weeks. Plus, they dont change weapons based on belt, they rotate every 1.5 months.

Im an adult who hasnt taken taekwondo in many years. Their instructor Daniel has been wonderful in helping me get back into it. He has been so supportive and encouraging. Thank you!

My 7 yrs old daughter seem to have a lots of fun every class she is attending, she has become more responsible with her chores since she started!!!

Theyre not a honest company at all they leave out major details of the program that should be discussed before hand...the children arent earning belts theyre parents are buying them! The weapons arent included in the package they are sold separately...they charge different clients different prices...I pulled my son out due to these many factors and the director of the program proceeded to disrespect me in her office by yelling and pointing her finger in my face and scaring my child by telling for us to get out of the building! But not before letting me know that shed still be billing my bank account for 2years to come even tho my son only attended 2 weeks of class in which I paid for an month worth if unlimited classes in advance! I think this program isnt worth the phony paper its printed on they scammed me I feel robbed!

Be carefull before you sign any contract. The contract you are signing is a finance agreement that means they will get all of their money in advance and you have to pay all of that if you care about your credit. That is not all, there are several hidden charges that they dont tell you about. It doesnt matter if your kids learn anything or not, you still have to pay a graduation fee every 1.5 months which is $70.00 per person. They say to everybody that their kids are the best so you may end up paying more often for the graduation. Every other week you have to buy a new weapon which costs a lot even though it looks really cheap.These weapons are compulsory and you have to have them in class. Altogether, these weapons will cost you thousands of dollars. If you try to quit, these people will threaten you, yell at you, and try to destroy your credit.(Join ata only if you are super rich)

This karate program is a SCAM. I enrolled my 5 year old and ended up being locked into a 2 year contract that I couldnt terminate. They also will try to sign your kid up for a leadership course but that is just a way for them to charge you more money. You dont get anything in return. After you are in the contract you will soon find out that to continue the training you need to buy these cheap plastic weapons and gear that can cost $50-100 every few weeks. After pulling my kid out because I refused to be nickel-ed and dimed I found I couldnt end the contract. Whats even worse is that Im a US military member who is deployed for a year in Afghanistan with my family out of AR and they still wont even budge. Im currently looking into legal matters to try to fix this terrible problem.

My husband and I initially signed up our 3 year old son at the Sherwood location and were very happy with Master Smith. However, a few months later they closed that location and we were transferred to the JFK, NLR location. Since then we have been extremely disappointed. The other comments are correct in that there are many hidden fees for graduation, etc. It has turned out to be a very expensive hobby for a toddler! Just started a few months ago and are pushing $800+ for a 6 month pre-paid membership. The most frustrating part has been how the NLR location CLOSES and DOES NOT tell the parents! We show up to class, no one is there, no sign on the door, no text is sent, NOTHING. We have a very busy schedule in our household and it is a challenge just to make it to practice twice a week for 30 min. When we arrive and it is cancelled, we are not even getting our moneys worth out of our pre-paid contract. VERY unhappy. Will not be renewing our membership. Total waste of time. Who has a $70 graduation every 2 months anyway!?

I should have taken heed to the bad reviews. I was yelled at and threatened by the manager/owner in front of my child and the other kids for no apparent reason. They advertised they were having a end of the year party, my son who we had already signed up brought three friends of which he was encouraged to bring. We arrived at what was supposed to be a party of which it was not. It turned out to be an intro to taekwondo session where they were trying to recruit the kids we brought. The crazy mean manager yelled at me with no cause or reason and threatened to use her black belt training on me. I didnt even know what the problem was. I was thinking something happened to the kids so I went to the door to ask her if everything was okay. She would not say and insulted mefor standing in the doorway of which i wasnt able to enter because her obese frame was standing in the way. I found out later she was yelling at the kids who were only coming downstairs to ask me a question. Instead of her acting with professionalism and addressing me about any problem, she turned the situation around on me as if I had did something to her and she proceeded to scream and yell. She told me i just brought the neighborhood so we could have free pizza! Im glad in a sense this happened because I was blindsided and was trying to believe this was a credible place. It is not!! They are money hungry and do not care about these kids! Also, this woman is obviously prejudice of black people as evidenced by her actions. She yelled to her staff roll the camerars!. I was thinking yes roll them so you can incriminate yourself because i didnt do anything.She also called the police. My son and his friends left there crying and upset. I will never take my child back there again!! Her representation of this place is despicable and very sad!! She will not be successful very long treating people in the manner she treated my son and I today!! Remind you i never did anything wrong...neither did the children. The majority of the kids there now are black, i guess the truth is its just too many of us there, and she doesnt want that!! BEWARE PEOPLE! This place is crooked.

I was shocked by the hidden fees that built up and how little my kid learned that could really benefit him. Half the plastic toys/weapons you spend $50+ dollars on every month end up breaking after a couple uses & they darn sure wont replace them. Rather than even complain to them Ill just finish paying out the contract for the next 18 months... Dont fall for it, RUN!
