Purchased my TinyJohn back in Feb. 2021 received the unit in mid March as promised. It was packaged very well and received everything that I ordered in excellent condition. I installed the unit along with the standard vent kit at the end of April at my off grid cabin. Installation went pretty well had a few questions and the EcoJohn Team was quick to answer them and help me through the install which was actually pretty easy. I followed the start up process in the instructions and everything worked as it should. Had a few minor hic ups getting used to the operation but I am very satisfied and happy with my purchase. If you need an alternative toilet system I would highly recommend the TinyJohn !! Thanks !!

I ordered an EcoJohn in March 02 2021. It is now end of June and I havent received. They indicated it would be sent out almost 3 weeks ago. It wasnt sent and they are no longer responding. They have not returned my money. Working with my credit card company as we speak. Buyer beware!

We purchased and installed a TinyJohn in our RV. Finally, we dont have to deal with dumping our black water tank. We use the added space for more fresh water so we can stay out longer boondocking. The toilet arrived in good shape and the installation directions were pretty clear. We ended up venting it out through the side.

As a 22 year retired Commissioned Officer in the US Military and a experienced Contracting Officer, I can absolutely validate that the ECO John staff has been nothing less than exceptional. As a successful business owner that operates in Alaska; often times in remote areas with rapid climate changes, it has been my experience, regardless of who ships product (ISPS, FEDEX, UPS etc.) to Alaska, product that comes from the lower 48 typically takes a good beaten during the transit because of extreme weather and terrain challenges Alaska naturally brings. Much thanks to the ECO John staff for assisting our team in Alaska for answering questions and assisting us trouble shoot aspects caused by shipping and completely outside the scope of our company and the ECO John Team.

I have had my TinyJohn this entire summer of 2020. It has come in handy as it is cost prohibitive to put in a septic system and well. It is easy to use and the cleanup is simple. I had a compost toilet but with the mulch and continued cleaning it was very messy not only in the toilet but also in the bathroom. I have talked to the TinyJohn Team both on the phone and by email and they have been very helpful explaining how to operate the toilet.

I love my Tiny John. I have it installed in my tiny house and it is way better than having a traditional septic tank. My local septic inspector was wowed by its simplicity and ease-of-use. And my county deemed it the only incinerating toilet on the market approvable in my area. In the future I will be ordering another one for my hunting cabin. Im looking forward to no longer dealing with honey pots at hunting camp. I recommend EcoJohn to everyone I know that lives in an area where a traditional septic system is too expensive or not feasible to install. Not to mention that Ive found the companys customer service to be A++

We installed our Tinyjohn in our 5th wheel and we are very pleased. We had an incinolet prior, but the current draw was just too much, every flush 2000W was insane. The great thing about our Tinyjohn is the low electrical draw, we have it hooked up to our 12V battery. The ordering process was easy, good customer service. It took 6 weeks to get it, instead of the 4 weeks announced on their website, but that was understandable due to Covid.

We bought their latest Tinyjohn toilet for our new tiny house, and we love it! We live off-grid so we need something that doesnt require much power. Have used a composting toilet before, but it was too much work. We are a family of 4, and we clean out the ashes every two weeks or so. Great company and product!

I live in an island and completely off-grid location. Super easy for me to install myself. Easy to clean, I have yet to do the maintenance but it should be a breeze. If I have any problems, I know I can call and will be walked through it. I am so glad I got my TinyJohn!

I have some land at 10.2k elevation in the Colorado Rockies. Ive had a travel trailer on the land since 2009. I didnt want to foul the beautiful environment and I didnt want to install a septic tank (really expensive). In doing some research I ran across the Ecojohn and in 2009 I bought the SR5 model that is powered by 2 12 volt batteries. In 2010 I installed it. I hooked solar trickle chargers to each of the batteries and with all the sun at this altitude those chargers kept my AGM batteries charged. A 20 gallon propane tank provided the propane.Ten years later and the unit is still in use. Awesome! In 2020 we moved the unit and when I didnt get a power light, I reached out to Ecojohns tech support by email. THEY RESPONDED QUICKLY!!! After 10 years that is rare indeed to find such a company that stands behind their product long after any warranty has expired.Turned out it was a connection that I had failed to reconnect after moving the unit.I recommend this company highly. American business run the old-fashioned way with a superior product and where reputation really matters to them.

Ive been dealing with this company since February when I placed my order for a Tiny John incinerating toilet. They have a 4 week estimated delivery time, and its now June, and I still dont have anything to show for my $3500 spent. I have reached out to them multiple times, and they have admitted they are facing supply chain delays, but have continued to promise me that my order will ship tommorow, next Monday, by the end of the week at the latest, or in a few days at the latest. Its June now. My whole issue with them is that they continued to blow smoke (lie) again and again as to when my order would ship, when they really had no idea.....or possibly did have an idea, and wanted to stall as long as possible. Maybe Im old school, but I believe honesty is the best policy. Even if it means losing money. EcoJohn could have posted a notice on their website stating there would be delays due to Covid-19. They could have taken the initiative to call or email customers like me who had already placed orders, to notify us that they didnt know when they could ship our orders, and here are the options, but they didnt. Any bit of (mostly false) information I did receive, was after I made the effort to reach out to them. Not a good way to do business, especially when your cheapest product is $3500.I should mention that they did finally send me something in April after multiple promised shipping dates had passed. I was surprised, but it wasnt over yet. What they sent, was a very poorly packaged and unfinished display model of a toilet. It was missing screws. It was scratched and dented. The lid was attached crooked. The cover to the incinerating pot was bowed out, and didnt include any latches to hold it to the toilet. The hole under the toilet lid didnt line up with the toilet seat. They didnt send the box of bowl liners I had ordered. After more than 8 weeks of waiting, they basically gave me the middle finger for asking too much about my order, and sent me a heap of junk. They couldnt even tape any lids closed or plastic wrap the used/unfinished toilet. They had 4 loose pieces of foam in the box to protect it. There are 6 sides to a rectangle. There should have been 6 pieces of foam. I of course called them, and demanded a refund. They accepted no responsibility, and blamed it all on FedEx. They insisted that my only option was to have them file a FedEx claim and for them to send me a new one. If I wanted a refund, they would need to receive the old one in good condition. So I really had no option but to send them pictures, so they could gouge FedEx for another $3500, and maybe someday send me what I ordered. Mid-May came around and another promised shipping date passed. Me, feeling like an idiot by now for playing this game with them for so long, decided enough was enough. I decided to file a dispute with my credit card company and get my hard earned money back. EcoJohn emailed me a week later and said that I was going about this the wrong way, and that I should drop the dispute, because they would win anyway. But if I were to continue with the dispute, then I would need to send their junk toilet back to them. Not wanting to keep that garbage anyway, I asked them to send a return label. I have now sent their unfinished display model back to them, and am continuing with the credit card dispute. I still have a hard time understanding why they have treated me like this. I have never dealt with a worse company in my life, and it makes no sense, because I was polite and respectful to them, and they have kept my money since the beginning of February. We are in June now. Much past the 4 week time frame that they still promise on their website. Please dont give this company your money! Incinolet has hands down much better customer service.

We had used a composting toilet in our cabin for years. I never liked it, too smelly and too much work. Every time we had company over for a weekend, it wouldnt keep up. Then my husband got me this wonderful TinyJohn for my birthday and wow have we been thankful. It is so easy to use, and I can even clean out the ashes:) Although the delivery took longer than we were told, we are super happy with this purchase and we definitely recommend this to anyone who lives off-grid or wants a nicer option than a composting toilet.

We have been using the Ecojohn/WC32 incinerator in our barn for 3 seasons and it works like a champ. 2 months ago, I installed the Tinyjohn in our camper, and we love it. My wife appreciates our trips more now and I dont have to pump the black water tank every 3-4 days. Easy company to work with!

We installed an Ecojohn in our RV. Their new waterless incinerating toilet (Tinyjohn) was a perfect choice for us. It is compact, really nice design and only draws 20W at 12VDC. We have used it for 4 months and are super happy, we only cleaned out ashes once. A urine cycle takes 25 min and a waste cycle about an hour. In our opinion, this is by far the best toilet for an RV (small or big). We had a black water tank before, and we have experience with composting toilets; this is such an upgrade.

Love my Tinyjohn! Installed it in my Tiny house and this was the only missing puzzle in my completely off-grid house. I tried a composter before but it would not keep up. The other incinerators use way too much electricity. I paid a little more, but it is all worth it. Im a big Ecojohn fan!

We purchased a EcoJohn SR unit for our cabin in a very remote location. Installed as per the recommended drawing (even including the not specified dual battery setup). So many issues with the delivered product and Lifetime upkeep and costs. At delivery, Auger was poorly installed causing a major failure in the motor shaft connection. Then, once a new unit was installed the Board failed after 3 uses. This again was replaced under warranty (had to ship the complete unit back). The next season we attempted to empty the chamber however the Cast Iron Plug was welded (dissimilar metals) to the body and we now have to empty though the burner access (as directed through EcoJohn) using a spoon. Speaking of clean outs, could you have made a more difficult and unobtainable location? You have to completely uninstall the toilet to get to the door at the back.5 uses later and the Thermister failed, again replaced on our dime. I would estimate I have over 50 Hours in travel and repairs and shipping back and forth to be serviced. We went to cycle this unit as it has sat for 12 months and Thermister is gone again. Owners and guests alike will not use this unit anymore.I dont recommend this. After years of complete frustration and lots of repairs and clean outs our throne sits unused and we installed a Composting Toilet. Move on and save yourself the hassle.During the warranty process they did their best to accommodate the issues, however major engineering issues, inability to perform as advertised and frankly some of the worst workmanship I have ever seen make for an absolutely disappointing and very costly experience.

So excited about our little john (tinyjohn); we just installed it in our tiny house and it is magical:) We have had experiences with a composting and electric incinerating toilet, but they require too much maintenance and power so they did not work out for us.I have to use the bathroom a lot, so this investment was soo worth it. Thank you, Ecojohn! Our neighbors are getting one too:)

Ecojohn has provided great support when we needed technical help. Two years ago, we installed their mid range incinerator in our house, and they helped us make sure all settings were right. We were not able to install septic due to perc failure, but their household system does the job. It only took us about a day to get the entire system installed.A few months ago, we also purchased the new Tinyjohn for our off grid cabin and we love this little guy. My wife does not have to use the outhouse any more, so she is stoked.

Buyer beware. This company does not know how to safely ship the TinyJohn incinerating toilet (not sure about their shipping abilities with other product). I was excited to order one and install it into my newOutdoors RV travel trailer. I ordered and paid for it the 2nd week of March, 2019. (I also had my trailer remodeler prepare my trailer for the install by running some 12v power and propane line to the location.) On April 29th they said it might ship on on April 30th. Maybe. On May 9th it arrived via Fedex. It did arrived, barely in its box, dented, bent, scraped, metal parts torn. They shipped an 80lb toilet, wrapped in one layer of bubble wrap, in a cardboard box, from Arkansas to Oregon. That was always going to fail. I did arrived, barely in its box, dented, bent and scraped. 20 days later they shipped another TinyJohn toilet, to the wrong address. I contacted Fedex to reroute it (EcoJohn wasnt responding to my communications at this point). It arrived on, June 5th, in worse shape then the first one. All they did differently was put the bubble wrapped and lightly boxed TinyJohn in a slightly larger plywood box. No additional packing material to secure the toilet was added. It smashed around the inside of its wooden enclosure all the way to Oregon. The stupidity of this is difficult to understand. What a waste of product and everyones time. It took me about an hour to repackage the toilets since the original containers were pretty much destroyed. Fedex eventually took them both back to Arkansas. I finally did get a refund at the end of July. Although i wish this never happened, it is now my favorite customer service nightmare story. Silver lining? :-/

We purchased their new TinyJohn and couldnt be happier. This is the perfect toilet for anyone who cant have a septic tank or doest want to deal with a composting toilet. This is easy to use and setup.Their customer service with Stefan and Cody has been quick and extremely helpful. We also wanted to customize a setting, and their tech Tyler walked me through step by step to get it set. He also did this over the weekend and after hours. So to say they dont have good customer service is not fair and not right. This isnt our first toilet with EcoJohn, we also bought the SR5 a few years ago, but when they made the TinyJohn, we had to have it!The TinyJohn toilet is a great design, small, very simple, and easy to maintain. The display screen is such an amazing feature, letting us know if the toilet is in a burn cycle, cooling, igniting etc...Definitely check out the TinyJohn!

My family have been an EcoJohn customer for years. We started off with the waterless Sr5 model 8 years ago. We use it in our cabin in the summers and it works just fine. We replaced an igniter ($50), 2 years ago, thats it.Recently, we installed the smaller TinyJohn in my RV, since space is limited. I was able to install it myself in less than 3 hours. So far we are extremely happy with it, we are 2-3 people that use it and it keeps up with no issues. Ecojohn has delivered again, thank you for your continued support!
