I been a member of this gym for years. We come to the gym to work out and stay fit. I know how frustrating it can be during this pandemic, but everyday I come to the gym and most people don’t even wear mask. There are signs posted, but it is not being enforced. How are we going to keep our gyms open if no one are following mandate orders. This morning I walk in to check in with an employee at the front desk and it appears the manager is next to him, who clearly doesn’t even have his mask on. I’m not trying to complain, I’m just trying to say that if we are mandated, the manger on duty responsibility is to ensure who walks in is wearing there mask as well as theirs to keep our gym safe. Before, the managers use to walk around to make sure every is properly wearing there mask and it’s no longer being done. I want my gym to stay open and remain a member while working out being safe.

Gym is great. So good in fact that 6 months into our contract my husband and I wanted to UPGRADE our contract….pay MORE each month. They were going to make us cancel our membership, pay a fee to rejoin, and start our membership over. Ridiculous way to treat already satisfied members. As soon as our contract expires, we will be looking for a place with better customer service.

I love all LVACs! They keep cleaning products available and the staff is pretty friendly. The equipment is in great condition. I enjoy working out here! Great place!

It would be a great gym if it was at half capacity. It is pretty much crowded at all times...even 5am. Staff and members are all friendly but just way too crowded. 3 squat racks is just not enough for the number of members they have coming in. The free weight benches are also always taken by people doing multiple workouts in one area. If you are always on a time crunch better to pay extra and go somewhere else...

Ohhhh this spot is the best!!!! I love it here! Its HIUUGE! Anyway can get somewhat occupied! I totally love their higher arrangement where you can single out things like fitness coach, towel administration and so forth and so on and so on its truly slick! Their pool is incredible, anyway a few times it has to an extreme degree a lot of dye in this is on the grounds that it has made my swimSuits blur the second it get it! The steam room and sauna are dazzling and they even have them in the ladies space for more protection! They have such countless storage spaces and they have the best smoothie place Inside of the office!

I wouldnt park my car here long enough to go to the gym. Ive seen a car on fire in this parking lot. They literally have signs saying park at your own risk. Theres a lot of homeless living in cars that go around checking doors and yelling at each other. Besides that, its practically a truck stop with big rigs taking up multiple spaces and even blocking lanes. They work on their trucks here too so its also a part-time garage.Find a small gym with a maintained parking lot who care about their customers. They dont even have real cameras.

Drop in fees are a bit outrageous. I was in town for a week and just wanted to drop in 3 times my options were $20 a day for a total of $60 or buy a week pass for $50? Really? Like I dont have a problem with paying to come to your gym but $50 for a week Is more than you pay for a month at most gyms. Probably great if you are a member but drop in would not even a little.bit recommend.

I had cancel last year because of covid, how convenient that you had no records of me calling and kept charging me after almost a 1 1/2 years, over $200 dollars and no refunds

Great gym, love the atmosphere and it’s always clean. Fun classes and tons of amenities.

Its a very good gym at night nobody wears a mask and I dont think people should shave in locker room people leaving hair all over the counter

Ohhhh this place is the best!!!! I love it here! It’s HIUUGE! However can get a little busy! I absolutely love their higher plan where you can pick and choose things like personal trainer, towel service etc etc etc. it’s really neat! Their pool is great, however some times it does have far too much bleach in it because it has made my swimSuits fade the moment it get it! The steam room and sauna are lovely and they even have them in the women’s room for more privacy! They have so many lockers and they have the best smoothie place Inside of the facility!

Never had to wait for an open machine. Never had an issue with staff or gym goer. Juice bar is awesome. Has everything I needed. Open 24/7 so I can go late at night.

This specific location of LVAC I noticed the built help back pain/posture which is really cool. I truly love the equipment and staff had been awesome!

BEWARE !! this gym has definitely gone down hill. The place is dirty inside and outside. Looks like all the fees they charge for membership they dont even want to use it towards maintaining the place. They dont have security at this location WHEN THEY SHOULD! My car got broken into while I was working out (typically an hour or so) and the break in could have easily been prevented if they had security patrolling their parking lot, just like Ross does across the street and many other business. BUT LVAC DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR MEMBERS BUT ONLY WANTS THEIR MONEY!! I am so disappointed with this place. I prepaid my membership and now I dont want to go because I dont trust that my car is safe out there. When I went to file a police report for the theft, the police told me there is so many thefts that happen in that parking lot. They are surprised LVAC has not got security patrolling the parking lot. LVAC DOES NOT CARE about their members and it shows. I will not be returning there and getting a refund on my membership. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST LOCATION LVAC HAS!! I GIVE IT A NEGATIVE STAR RATING IF I COULD, but it only allows a star to write a review .

Great gym a very clean space, however when getting the membership the salesperson Ramsey constantly presses people into upgrading their memberships through aggression and disrespectful remarks (sexist remarks in my instance) for his bonus. All around a very disrespectful individual hopefully hell be replaced, other than that a great gym.

I am paying for a premium membership and added the team training room to utilize its equipment. As a night shift worker I can only workout around midnight. Funny thing is that they have a policy that closes the team training room from 11pm-5am, which completely screws those of us who can only workout at night/early morning. How is this fair for those that can only work out at night and paying for the team training room? If you can only workout at night, do NOT get premium with the team training room, look elsewhere.

The time I go is nice. Not too many people and most machines are open. Very nice Not to have to wear a mask while doing cardio, Im vaxed🤗!

Matt, this locations manager is the man. Very professional, extremely helpful, cleaness of all locations. I drive 15mn to go there eventho a different location is closer to my house. I had an issue in their system showing my kids as inactive, making me incapable of using the playroom to be able to workout. Matt took care of that without a problem. However a very unprofessional girl going by the name of Joe needs to stop pretending she is a manager, because any pigeon on the street is actually smarter than her omg!!! Other than this girl, that location is great. Matt is definitely the man you want to go to.

06/13 my husband sign up two months ago he was told that I could come to check the gym for a day use to see if i would like to join him to work out. Today I decide to join him but the boy and the girl just dont let me go in for a free day use, they told me I need to pay $20 for a day use! those guys at the door are soo unprofessional they dont even mention that I could go online and sign up to a free day! they said I could talk to a manager instead lol . I just came home sign up on the web site and im getting back for my free trial! thats is beyond ridiculous. I am already telling my husband he should cancel his membership.

Theres something seriously wrong with their cable machines. 100lbs feels like 50lbs, this is on all their cable machines. They only have 3 squat racks which is laughable for a gym of their size, EoS on Losee has 8 squat racks and theyre a much smaller gym by comparison.

My husband past away of covid and I could not afford any extra payments when I called to see if my account can be canceled without Early termination fee. I was pretty much told no that that had nothing to do with them and the company will not allow anything to be waived or change my package to lowest one to help one way or another.

There’s a man who works the front desk who is rude,.... I don’t go in the am just to avoid him. I had an issue with my renew so my card didn’t work a couple days after I signed my new contract he shouted at me multiple times this card is expired! This card is expired! Like 7 times within 3 mins okay so chill what are we going to do about it,.... I called lvac and worked it out the mistake was on management not me,... so your just gonna shout at me about my card not working how about we fix this problem instead of being loud and telling me something I know isn’t correct. Perhaps better problem solving skills would have been a great first solution.

I really do enjoy it here. there new team training room is gangsta! all cardio and strength machines need a good scrubbing their were clumps of hair and disgusting cr*p in the corners of the foot pedals on ALL of the elliptical machines. some of strength training machines had questionable gunk on their bases as well. They really need to clean all areas of the machine. its gross.

Decatur and 215 is my favorite location for LVAC, but it is still the LVAC. The layout makes more sense here and the staff are all generally polite. Classes are starting up again and personal training. Locker rooms are still closed along with the showers, also the saunas but the pool is open. Juice bar is open too. Masks are mandatory even when working out unless you are raising your heart rate like on a treadmill or class workout. Sanitation stations all over for easy access to keep things clean. Overall again its the nicest most organized LVAC in my opinion.

Staff is awesome, not a lot of squat racks. They have a womens only area which is nice. Its very full all the time. Gotta wait for machines. Clean and well maintained. Clean bathrooms. Swimming pool is also really nice. Lots of free weight areas.

My 2nd visit since the beginning of the pandemic. Its always a super place to workout.

I absolutely love this gym. They offered a lot of equipment. It’s clean. The staff is super friendly. My only complaint is the temperature setting. They keep it way too hot. They really need to keep it cooler in there. Please turn down your thermostat🙏🏼❤️

The music at this club is extremely loud you cant even hear your own music through your headphones I have complained to two different managers and Ive called corporateand and complained about the music being too loudthey and it like they dont to care.

This is a great place to workout. The staff is good and the facility is always clean. The prices are very reasonable and if you actually use your membership you get a lot for your money. I highly recommend LVAC for your workout needs.

This gym is exactly like the Henderson LVAC. They only have three squat racks that get crazy competitive. They have more racks and cages on the first floor but you can’t use those unless you pay for personal training which is disappointing and sad. Because of this I usually end up driving to LVAC on Rainbow, that location has a large dedicated area with cages and deadlift platforms that anyone can use. I wish the Decatur LVAC would put in more racks or put in a bunch of cages with deadlift platforms like the Rainbow location (hint, hint). This LVAC location is ok but could be so much better.

This LVAC is modern and well maintained. Great selection of treadmills, exercise machines and free weights. Being a relatively new location everything is in good working condition. The environment is upbeat and the employees are friendly and helpful. The parking is safe and plenty. Overall great experience 😎

So far I really like LVAC.

Due to COVID19 not all amenities were available. Bring a small bag. No lockers/rooms. Still had a great Workout! I even found a quiet corner and was able to get my Yoga on🙃

So LVAC not only decided that they are going to continue charging for services they dont offer because of the Pandemic, they also now decided they wont credit accounts back for those services anymore. We pay for child care, and they are now going to take the money and not offer the service. Aside from the ridiculous 25% discount to cancel, poor compliance with enforcement of distancing, now they are fraudulently billing for services and refusing to make the change policy reasonable. You cant change and remove the service on the phone but need to come in and sign a new contract which no one in their right mind should choose to do this given the predatory response to their billing during the pandemic.

Great gym, worth the money to join. If you’re timid and would rather be in an empty gym, this is NOT the place for you. It’s always packed, be ready for it. All the equipment is well taken care of and there’s tons of it. The locker rooms are also really clean and in order. I’ve never done the classes but they look like a blast.

I love LVAC but this location does not have an advanced training area. It does have a team training area but you are not allowed to utilize the area unless you are part of the group team. It is very unfortunate as there are times where I go to the second closest LVAC to utilize the advanced training area.

Kylee was an amazing last night, I have never seen anyone clean and keep the gym properly maintained like her . She was lifting heavy weights that were on the ground and putting the back, putting the pole to bar bells away and picking up paper towels and when I was finished with my workout she noticed me and told me to have a wonderful rest of your night with a cheerful voice. We need more like her

This gym is great when its not packed. 99.9% of the machines are in working condition. Areas are clean. Just be careful not to break social distancing protocols set in place because there are old curmudgeon geezers going around harassing others about them not using the correct machines. This is the third time I witnessed these old a-holes harassing others around this zip code.

I have amazing workouts at this gym! They have a plethora of equipment for a good variety, a track and a cardio area if you dont like the track. Theres the dry and wet sauna, an exercise and lap pool, and a jacuzzi! Basically most thing you wish to work on is possible here. All in all, experience it! I recommend it!

Great facility but horrible staffing when you come in. On top of that you are locked into a 26 month contract. It doesn’t matter if you pay month to month they will charge you for the remaining months of the contract for closing your account and you don’t even get to use your membership for the last month you paid. And if you think about canceling your credit or debit card then they will report it on your credit. Do not sign up for this gym. It is a scam and you will lose money out of it. Unless you plan on going every single day of the 26 months don’t sign up.

Called this location to receive pricing. I spoke with Ramsay and he insisted I come in for a tour and then he would give me pricing, instead of just giving it to me over the phone. So I went in a couple hours later. Went on the tour and I thought everything was going well until he realized I had no intention on signing up that day and his tone completely changed. Started getting aggressive with me and trying to pressure me into signing up right then. Acting like I wasted his time when I originally asked for pricing over the phone! Also, do not like that every membership they have locks you down for 26 months. It’s a nice gym, but staff will only be nice to you when they know you will be signing up and I’m sure will get horrible customer service once your a member. Buyer beware...

Hi, are people wearing masks in this location? At the location on N Rainbow they are not. There maybe 50% and as each week goes by it seems to get worse. The staff never says anything to anyone not wearing a mask. Is it any better at this location? Thanks.

The financial office personnel was extremely rude. It seemed as though I was bothering him with my concerns and in turn was very frustrating. He was not informative enough and it was just one of the worst customer service experience Ive ever had. I also believe they messed up on my contract but since I cannot find my original copy they cannot help me.

New equipment is definitely a plus, the biggest for this location is the space one has to work with.

Horrible customer service very rude! My husband and I have dual membership from several years ago and recently have returned. My husband does not recall the last time we paid so he asked upon returning. The first time, he was told that his membership was fine and we went in. The second time he was more specific and said he doesnt recall when we last paid and asked when it was due. He was told youre fine its coming up soon. Today, they confiscated his card and told him that his membership had expired two years ago. They treated him like a criminal. We explained that we had asked on two occasions out of the last four recent visits where we worked out with no problem, if we owed money and when. We were told no, the membership was fine. The manager was called. Matt happened to be the gentleman that sold us the memberships years ago. Again, my husband was treated as a threat to them and as a criminal. He was accused of trying to use the gym without paying for it. We explained again how we never got a statement, email, or phone call and have asked repeatedly when it was due. He said thats not his problem its on us that we let it expire. We were more than willing to pay past due fees as we had never received a bill. He said no, you have to join again and the rate is now higher. He said he had no authority to do anything. We ask him to call corporate if that was the case and he refused telling us to do it ourselves.I was horrified at the low this business has sunk to. I would never dream of telling a customer that its on them and go do it yourself. Is LVAC that desperate for a few dollars they have forgotten the meaning of customer service and what sets them apart from the competition? Its very saddening to see them having sunk to this low level.

Great place 2 work out i have been a member for 6 years workers are helpful place is very clean trainers are great give you a hard workout iam a bad diabetic when my blood sugar is high i go 2 gym get on bike for 1 hour then my blood sugar is good i bring my machine with me they even have a storage where i can put imy used strips in keep the gyms open

LVAC has a great gym with great personnel. That said, they fraudulently resumed charging my debit card for two memberships that both included childcare. I understand they dont want to go thru the expense to reopen acceptable childcare, but the contract specifically states childcare on both of our memberships. THEY CANNOT charge our debit card when they cannot live up to our signed contracts. THEY DID. They also fought the reversal with our bank and the bank charged us regardless of the clear contract.We are done with LVAC. They also owe us for March.

Signed up yesterday, they charged me $199 for 1 year. After working out they stopped me and said they charged me the wrong price and wanted me to pay another $250. The contract had already been signed, so I talked to the manager Matt. He said its not a valid membership and they wont uphold the contract and I have to call corporate to cancel and get reimbursed my $199, which takes up to 10 days. So not only did they mess up, but now I have to jump through hoops to get reimbursed. Terrible business dealing in bad faith. The customer must uphold the contract, but not the seller.

If you want a gym with a little more this place is perfect. Work out steam room pool smoothie great stuff.. the day care looks like kids quest my daughter is so excited to go... went to the one on eastern I have to say our Decatur one is way better. The women’s gym over there had all the ellipticals out of service. What is that? The women’s bathroom I feel is laid out better. I don’t see women showering as I am in the steam room. Happy motivated...

This place is the best! The employees are super friendly, they know me all by name just about, from the front desk, to the juice bar, to the kid care. I always trust my little one is safe when shes in the play room, and they do crafts with the kids too. My daughter raves about the fun she has in there. The employees behind the juice bar are awesome, they make your smoothies perfect, and the food is really good too. Everyone is just really friendly:)

Childcare: my 7 and 10 year old said theyve heard the staff cuss a few times in front of children.Outside: always trash everywhere and people taking up two spaces for their car.Atmosphere: Way to busy all the time. Yes they have a lot of machines but it being packed all the time doesnt help. I feel like they care more about making money rather than having happy customer that can actually work out without feeling suffocated. The weight area is a joke. Nothing is free. People wait in line to be next. You have people sitting on a machine just hanging out on their phone. People leave trash everywhere and on machines.Customer service: Ive asked questions that staff cant answer and dont care to help find out the answer for you. Mostly teenagers talking. Thats great you wanna scan my card but why cant you help me with a question or a concern.

I go there for pools, I need rehab on back both knees, but the pools are not kept warm enough for overnight use.

There is no criticism in this gym. Friendly members and great equipment. They are all for safety. I wasnt quite sure how to use some of the equipment but the staff helped me out.

Love this location. I can get a workout in then grab some groceries or a quick meal across the street before I head home.Plenty of parking, plenty of machines (at least mid-morning when I go), and our kids have fun in the playroom.

The place looked clean and organized. The facility tour was quick but informative. They only offer 2 years contracts. No month to month subscriptions.

LVAC follows the cleaning guidelines since covid-19 correctly and have satisfactory equipment however deep cleaning is not practiced and things such as: carpet, walls, and mirrors are not updated or cleaned

This is a very nice club: lots of cardio equipment, a beautiful 1/6th mile track (even banked at the turns) and as many types of weights (free) and weight machines almost anyone could ask for, laid out by muscle group exercised. The steam room, dry sauna, hottub and lap pool are nice extras! Cant wait to get back--hopefully soon!!

They created a contract, then violated their own terms and refused to refund the money due to their own error. My friend was given a contract for 12 months for 199$ up front, then they said sorry our mistake after both parties signed and certified the contract.BEWARE! Go to another gym! This one does not honor contracts and violated consumer protection laws.

LVAC has seemed to do a great job with keeping social distance in their gym. No machines side by side are available for use and, they have placed cleaning spray & hand sanitizer everywhere.

Plenty of machines and free weights. The flow of people in-and-out of the place is about average, depending upon the hour. I prefer Sundays as one of my 3 workout days, as there is very little activity. Access to the facility is good. More than adequate safe parking and lot to do around the area.

It is a trendy hipster gym full of peacocks. Even at 3:30am there are crowds of people camping on machines, using weights on the track, and just hanging out. This may be the place for some but I prefer to work out and leave. The sent up is not friend for high intensity quicker work outs that I enjoy. My biggest complaint is that when I was switching from another gym I was mislead. I was told the friend pass could be used for my visiting family which its posted all over now that it cant. Also they said the class rooms would be open and could be used for the work outs I do. They are locked up.It is clean and well maintained with friendly staff.

This is the best gym i have been too. Not because its the fanciest or the most hard core lifting gym, but because it is the perfect mix of value to what you get. The juice bar area has good food and smoothies too. They are way over priced but they taste good. On top of that, there is tons of eye candy all over this gym.

I took Krishna’s yoga class twice. It left much to be desired. Both classes followed the exact same series. The instructor did not assist any one or make corrections. She seems like a beginner instructor with little experience.If you are a first time yogi, I recommend the class. If you practice yoga on even a semi regular basis, don’t waste your time; you’d be better off doing ur own yoga series at home.

Gym is perfect at certain hours.However the daycare has kind of went down the drain. I’m not sure if they changed the management but it definitely has changed since two months ago.Very disappointed with the daycare service love the gym.

I recommend this is being one of the great places to go if youre looking for a good workout, a good run, or a place that you can go swim some laps... They have 4 racquetball court areas, and they also have Classes that you can take for zoomba or all kinds of different stuff.. This is definitely a place that has many things theres no way you could be bored or unhappy at this place.. They also have a healthy restaurant bar area for shakes and some food, .. Definitely a great place to work out with full Amenities

Very welcoming environment. Matt at the North Decatur location is one of the best employees. I scheduled a tour and one of the biggest reasons I signed up on the spot was that he was more interested in knowing me and my needs than he was getting me to sign up. He never mentioned pricing until I asked. The child care area is great. Their security policy makes me feel safe about dropping children off to go work out.

Great gym! Just one nitpick and one MAJOR complaint...Nitpick: There should be more than just 3 barbell squat stations. It’s almost impossible to find an available one most days unless I go at 3am.Major Issue: The men’s locker area is always clean, which is greatly appreciated! Unfortunately, the actual small area where the toilets/urinals are is one of the most disgusting, foul smelling restrooms I have ever encountered (and I’ve been to pubs in London!). I don’t know if it’s the ventilation that’s the problem or what, but something has to be done. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve almost vomited from walking in there before. Please address this issue.Otherwise, this place is great!

Beautiful, spacious gym with friendly employees. The only downside is that its big but should have been bigger. Quiet and safe late at night.If you end up being a member for 26 months, make sure you ask them about lowering the cost of your membership.

I love this location. I generally attend the classes and theyre so motivating, fun, and such a great workout. I also love how theyre always 24/7. I work crazy hours, so being able to get in a swim at two in the morning and then get a post-workout smoothie is just awesome!!!!

Having a facility of this caliber available to our family has made working out so much more enjoyable. I took advantage of the family plan which saves so much money over the long haul. They could do a better job at maintaining the aerobic equipment. They also should hire more mature people that appreciates their job. We love their hours of operation especially during the holidays. Allows us to workout and burn off those heavy meals. I appreciate the saunas.

Avoid this place if you can, the employees will blatantly lie to you about the contract and any fees just to get you to sign up.

Very nice gym. Called to inquire about rated and more importantly what they had as a military discount. I was asked to come in and assured they offered a military discount. Well, if you consider letting us out of the 2 year contract if the military moves us is a discount... very disappointed..

The man who was supposed to discuss membership with me was rude and offensive. I can’t comment on the actual gym because I was so offended I left. If you want to work with nice people, I suggest you find a different gym.

I was previously with LVAC and used my 2-year contract up and then canceled as I left town. It was an awful relationship during those 2 years but I made it work. When I came back to town I signed up again (unhappily but...) so I could work out with my friend. I was told I could cancel for $50 (I was also told this my first go around so I did not misunderstand or hear incorrectly). I called to cancel because I never go because it is inconvenient (location wise), overly crowded for when I can go and the people have gotten rude (employees not gym goers). I was told I had to pay my contact in full less 25%. I brought up the 50$ thing and was told that is not anything they do and to review my contact. If it is not something they offer why did I get told it twice and it appears a ton of other people have the same issue. My younger sister canceled her contract for $35 and she was about 8 months into it. Complete BS. Perhaps when making these BS sales pitches to new sign ups you should specify that is is $50 if you move 20+ miles with proof of lease or new state ID or become disabled and have medical documents. It is not $50 anytime like that say.
