Since becoming FAA Certified for commercial drone photography, I havent had as many opportunities to go flying as I used to.  I can accomplish most of my aerial photography requests with the drone. But last week I had an assignment for Trident Construction that was going to require flying above 400 ft, and flying too near the Charleston International Airport...both of which were beyond the legal limits of commercial drone flight.So I reached out to Hayden and Kris at Holy City Helicopters. Hayden is not only a great chopper pilot, but also an avid photographer. So he got it when it came to waiting for the right weather and the right light. Finally, a beautiful blue-sky day opened up to us! Kris was my pilot that morning.  He did a fantastic job of getting me good angles of the projects I needed to photograph.It was a pleasure flying and photographing with these fine gentlemen. I highly recommend calling Hayden if youre interested in photographing from the sky!

Kris was a great pilot. Smooth take off and landings, which are important to me. He was very easy to communicate with and was very informative. The pilots have to take the phone calls as well as fly the helicopters, so if you have to leave a message they will call you back between flights. Will do again!

Great way to get a unique view of the city. Hayden, our pilot was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and helpful throughout our tour. Would highly recommend to all of my friends and neighbors.

After leaving Fort Jackson, we decided to head to the coast. While crossing a bridge we noticed an aircraft carrier set up as a museum. Everything said it was open but it wasnt. There we noticed helicopter tours which also wasnt open. The kid wanted to go on a helicopter ride really bad...enter Holy City Helicopters. We called and they were getting ready to go home but said if we can make it in a certain amount of time they would wait for us. We got there and within a couple minutes we were up for our first helicopter ride. IT WAS AWESOME! I highly recommend it to anyone. The pilot was cool as ever and we had a blast. Worth every penny. If were ever in the area again we will definitely be calling for another ride.

Great ride and awesome service. Would highly recommend booking a tour with Holy City Helicopters. Our pilot took the time for me to get some great videos and make it a wonderful experiences for both my granddaughter and myself.

So the tenth wedding anniversary is supposed to be aluminum guys. Fun fact: Helicopters are basically made of the stuff. Surprised my wife with this for our 10th. She was stunned. Views were beautiful, pilot was professional but not stuck up. A great adventure if you can swing it.

Took my wife for a Valentines Day treat. She (and I) LOVED it. The pilot Haydon (sp?) is also a great tour guide. Seeing Charleston from the air is a unique experience.

We gave our son a helicopter tour of the Low Country via Holy City Helicopters and could not have been more satisfied. It was a truly wonderful experience. Our pilot, Dylan, was friendly and professional, giving a great explanation to us of the workings of the vehicle while giving us a unique view of the Charleston metro area. I would highly recommend that anyone interested in a great ride and interesting experience check out HCH for a great time!
