They are not only knowledgeable which will get you back your maximum return without errors, they also do more than just returns.GED prep, business startup assistance and more. Call Gene or Myra, the owners to ask questions or get info.Additionally, they are friendly, help the community and are easy to work with. Youll see what I mean. And the location is convenent, right at Ashley Phosphate and Dorchester.

Going through old files right now while doing my taxes and looked through my taxes done with max tax in 2016. They took $354 out of my return for fees, when it has only cost me $40 with turbo tax every year after. I had no idea they took that much out and they never told me what the charges were.. just saw the fee chart mixed in with all the paper work they made for me. It was my first time doing my taxes and I just had a baby, so I thought the return was huge already. But wow, this place is extremely shady. Go somewhere else if you have specialty services needed, or do it yourself for free/small fee before letting these people rip you off. Shameful!

Been going to Max Tax for about 6 or 7 years now. I Absolutely love them! Great local business. Always treat me and whomever I refer there with the utmost respect. Husband and wife are the owners and they treat you like family. Youre not just another face in the crowd to them. Very fast, and accurate while doing tax return process on computer software. I would recommend any and everyone to check them out!

Rude and highly unprofessional. Couldnt even give me a straight answer on how much it would cost to file my taxes (should be a fairly simple, straight forward tax return - one person, no dependants). I figured I would try a local business. Guy who claims hes the owner wouldnt answer any of my questions and gave me the run around, very nasty attittude. Then I spoke with a woman who said shes his wife, and her excuse for his behavior was hes cranky because hes hungry. Thats no excuse to take out your aggression on a customer.Taking my business elsewhere.
