Can never get a hold of someone. I turned my recertification papers in on time last month. And yet to have heard from them. And don’t even think about calling the call center. They never answer you. I guess they enjoy eating their donuts and drinking their coffee while we all suffer. They need a better system.
Need to be shut down or run by better Director..I know 3 people got they kids taking because someone lie house clean, food in refrigerator kids are beautiful so why take them out they home
This place is the worst. They never answer the phone and when they do all of a sudden the phone disconnects. They need better employees. I understand they have a lot going on but this is ridiculous
Would love to give 0 Stars if it were possible! during a time like this there are a lot of taxpayers who are in need of assistance. And there are a lot of hard-working people who have never had to apply for assistance. The service is very unacceptable. Upon calling the wait time was 30 to 40 minutes. Waited for 22 minutes and the call disconnected. Call the second time wait on hold for 1 hour and 22 minutes and the call was disconnected. called a third time and was told by the automated system that due to a high volume of calls please call on the next business day. I can only hope that once I am actually able to speak with someone that I receive great customer service.
we need you to complete this interview by ..... date.... call this number.... calls number every hour on the hour for 3 weeks... no answer.... gets another letter in the mail... you failed to call for your appointment.... obviously if you can never call... they never have to help.(you get one star because 0 is not an option.)

Ive been trying to get into contact with DSS since April to get a copy of my case file from when I was a minor. Its now almost August and Ive heard no response. Voice mailbox is full, and I havent had a single email returned, so I drove 4.5 hours to the office only to find the building closed. I cant go to college or have my FAFSA verified without a copy of it. Screw this place.
Can never reach..Mailboxes always full. No human interaction. All I ever get is mailbox is full. To disconnect press 1 & please call again. How can you call or get help when no one ever answwes?

If this could be a zero, it would be. No one wants to help you, especially when you are old and have no one to fight for you. The workers are spiteful, sarcastic and derogatory to you. They expect you to know how the system works even if it is your first time. They throw documents at you to fill and make you go to the end of the line again. The documents used to be where you could fill them out before you got in line but that has been discontinued. The phone number doesnt work and you end up talking to people who are not in your area or any where near your area. You do not have anyone you can talk to locally or a dedicated source. south Carolina wants their old people to DIE!
Only rated 5 stars so my review would be seen. Every time I call it says my wait time is over 40 minutes and each time Ive sat and waited for over 40 minutes and never got an answer. They never answer their phone which is so unprofessional because not everyone can make it to the office when needed, including me!
This medicaid office is extremely rude. The medicaid supervisor is a miserable, rude old witch that hates life & wants to make the rest of the world miserable with her. They refuse to answer my questions & twice now the supervisor has shoved a piece of paper at me with a number on it. She did this just to get me to leave her alone, knowing good & well that number is for enrollment only & could not answer my questions. I know that my rights have been violated & I will be seeking legal advice.
ZERO STARS. Im pregnant and out of work because of the virus. Its been two months and I havent gotten a single person on the phone or received my ebt card! My child and myself are starving to death while they pay people to not answer the phones!

I would honestly put 0 stars if I could. Very rude and disrespectful and continuously sends me a Medical Release/Physicians Statement paper every month although it has already been filled out twice. Now Im being threatened to be discontinued for my SNAP benefits yet again and I cant talk with anyone bc none of the phone numbers are correct. And i still cant drive due to my illnesses at this point.
My experience has been terrible. The woman at the office let another woman cut me in line after waiting for an hour. In the middle of our transaction she interrupted rudely and called another woman to the glass window. She was extremely rude and unfriendly. Proceeded to embarrass me in front of the whole lobby. If I could get on another insurance I would stay far away from medicaid due to the experience I had. I found out I was pregnant two months ago and they still have not approved me for pregnancy medicaid. I havent been able to get an ultrasound or see a doctor at 8 weeks pregnant now!!! They told me they would let me know the next day after I applied on August 11th since I was pregnant... They said they would process it as quick as possible. I am highly disappointed with the way this program works and the treament.

Called this place everyday for a whole week and nobody answered my calls just voicemail plus been approved for benefits and they telling me when they get to it theyll deposit my benefits 😣 its been a month horrible staff and rude they dont want to help people just be lazy
VERY AWFUL .How do make a person hold 1 hour and 45 min after saying it will be a 7 min wait. only to reach a message that say call back later or leave a call back number ! I blame that dumb trick Governor Nikki Haley that bi... said SC dont need any funding and then the trick left us in a jam. Now all the workers feel they can get a check for doing nothing cause no one gives a damn and dont feel they will ever need any help when they too become older. maybe one day someone would read all these review and clean house and leave all their buns on the unemployment line. from the mangers down. This is what happens when you have useless people govern us by the way i gave the, 1 star the system added .9 not me!!! I hate this place.
Horrible customer service! Called countless times and left over ten messages to never receive a call back. Spoke to a gentleman once when someone finally picked up who told me his computer was down and he would call me back or have another employee call me back... no call back. I gave up.
Erin and Christal are excellent social workers who care and advocate for their families. Although understaffed, they do the best they can for the children.

Very rude and not helpful at all. The supervisor was just as bad as the women I spoke with on the phone.
FIRE THEM ALL!! They sit in the back gossiping and playing on social media instead of getting to the people that really needs aid. Nothing goes on in the back literally they just collect their checks.
I really hate the fact that you cant call your local office to speak to anyone. Every call has to go to the call center and its not much they can do or help you with from there.
