I have been following Heritage Pools since moving to Summerville in 2009. When I moved to my new home in 2017 I knew that I would be having Heritage design and build my dream oasis. They are amazing! It was a year of pandemic and supply chain issues but they were up front from the beginning. Mackenzie coordinated with me regularly. I have 100 emails back and forth. Communication was vital for me and Ms. Mackenzie communicated with a great sense of humor. Niño and his crew did most of the construction and they were the most hardworking men in summer humidity I have ever seen. I knew I would need landscaping but Niño and his crew hand shoveled the perimeter. I will still need a landscaper but my grass is already filling in. Now that the pool is complete we will have “pool school” . The filter and equipment looks like it could run my community pool. I’m looking forward to learning every aspect of the beast ( especially the led light modes :) J Ryll

I started the process of building a pool by interviewing several highly rated builders. The salesperson from Heritage, Curtis, was by far the most responsive and professional person we dealt with. We were treated with respect, he takes COVID safety seriously, and the pricing was competitive. Not the lowest, but we were looking for the best quality. The design was spot on, and we found the pricing fair given what we were asking for.Unfortunately, we had to put a temporary halt on things due to a surprise home emergency. We were devastated that we had to put this on hold, but Curtis was professional and understanding. We cannot wait to get things back on track with him. I rarely say this, but I recommend Heritage Pools without any reservations at all.True, I do not have a completed project yet, but I am able to tell you that if you want to work with a team of experienced professionals, and not the equivalent of a used-car salesperson, you need to give Curtis a call. If he is representative of the rest of his organization, you will be as delighted as we were with your pool-building experience.

Heritage Pools is a great company. I had a wonderful experience with them from beginning to end of our pool construction. The employees are all very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The office staff maintains frequent communication regarding the construction process and timeline. The customer service is better than any other company Ive dealt with in Charleston. Larry, Mackenzie and Papi are a great team at Heritage Pools. We had great customer service from picking out our fiberglass pool, through the construction phase, and the finishing touches. Heritage Pools built our pool and we are absolutely thrilled with the end result! Because of COVID, the beginning of construction was much delayed and our patience were surely tested. She is always super friendly, patient with questions and extremely knowledgeable! Steve and his crew did a fantastic job removing the old liner and professionally installing the replacement. My pool guy retired and I hired Heritage Pools. Abby and Staphany were always responsive and helpful. My equipment was failing and I didnt listen to them at first because I didn’t want to spend any more money, but they were persistent and once I invested into their recommendations, the pool is Fabulous! My family is thrilled. I get a photo each day of service emailed to me so I know the tech was there. Fantastic stuff!

I would like to start with if they give you a price you can probably guarantee it’s gonna be double what they quote you. The lack of communication not just with the customer but within the company is dumbfounding. They tell you what you want to hear to get your money and get you off the phone. I have had my liner replaced 3 times. I have never experienced the terrible things I experienced with this company. Had to drain the pool multiple times after liner was installed to get somewhat of a flat surface and wrinkles out of the liner and that I had to fight for and I still have wrinkles, lumps and divots. They kept saying they didn’t see it. BUT THEY CAME AND TOOK PICTURES!!!! That is just a few of the issues I had after the liner was replaced. Don’t have enough space to even start on all the issues with them before the liner was replaced. My biggest advice to you is to go with your instincts and not use this company!!!! But if you do use this company make sure not only that you record conversations but you get everything in writing and do not let them leave without checking everything multiple times. My liner looks worse then it ever has and it cost me more then it ever has. This was the worst waste of money and my liner that should last probably won’t because they did such a terrible job!!!!Now they want to rectify the situation. Not because they care about customer service but because they want me to take down my review. I have the email and voicemail to prove it. They are trying to play the victim now but per the last conversation I had with the owner mike in may. We were to tell them everything and have it fixed that day as they were not coming back. Now that there is a bad review they want to fix it only if I take down my review.

Heritage Pools designed and installed a pool for us. They were fantastic from beginning to complete install. And Im sure for ongoing service. We installed a fiberglass pool and are enjoying it. They started the construction 4/12/21 and 2 months later we are swimming. We learned alot during the process from the sales team. The installation team is top shelf. We are very happy we selected Heritage Pools to handle our project. We highly recommend them.

We are very pleased with the construction of our pool & spa. Heritage does all aspects of building and completing your pool, from design, dig, build and hardscape. Every employee has been great to work with. Workers always cleaned up site each night and were respectful and a joy to have in our backyard!! The office staff are on top of everything and always available. Construction took longer than expected (due to Covid) but the finished product is beautiful. We now feel like we have a resort in our backyard! We would use them again if we ever were to move from our oasis now!

We relocated to Charleston from Utah.I was a building contractor for 25 years. The home we purchased has an in ground pool and it needed some work. We also wanted to replace the surface surrounding the pool. I interviewed several pool contractors. Michael, the owner came out to look at the job. He was polite and to the point. There was no BS! He even had us follow him to view several pools he had recently completed in our area. There was a striking difference with our comfort level after meeting with Michael than there was with the other pool contractors. Once the job proceeded and the pool was drained, we found out the pool plaster was separated from the concrete pool structure in many areas. You couldnt tell by simply looking at it. Michael showed me how he determined the issue existed. I gave the OK to chip out the bad plaster and do it properly. The issue was worse than expected but they fixed it properly. I would have hated to have NOT done it right and have to address it later. I also use Heritage Pools for my service. Once again, no BS. If I have an issue they are on it. The service guys are polite and do a great job. They are not the cheapest but they are not the most expensive either. They have performed at a high professional level. I recommend them without reservations!

Heritage has really good project management with clear communication of construction timing. They helped select the right pool and right positioning in lot for best look and usability of yard. Completed pool very high quality and only slightly behind schedule. We put in a fiberglass in-ground. They have a great grasp on city and HOA-related requirements. Heritage also is very good about answering questions on pool care and maintenance even after the job is complete. I would completely recommend Heritage as a supplier.

Needed to replace an old filter and pump and Heritage was incredibly helpful every step of the way. From the consultation to the installation, they were very transparent and very quick. From my email requesting a quote, I had a new system in place in less than two weeks! Very friendly and highly recommended. Hertiage are an excellent and well priced pool construction company. I will add pictures of my pool once it is decked, just finishing up with travertine now :)I would call them out as being really consultative design partners. Their PMs and Sales Guys are really knowledgable and helped us shape and design our pool as we went. It ended up nothing like we initially envisioned - but we love it! They gave us tons of ideas and advice. I would fear with other companies they will just build what you point at in book, but you get a personal experience with Heritage. They are a small family-owned company and this really comes through in the dedicated attention to detail and communication they have.Highly recommend!

Excellent service from the office to the service people. My pool has been close to swimmable for 3 years. Ive spent thousands trying to get the pool running correctly on my own. I finally gave in & called professionals to assist with my inground pool. Hoping for the best. I hesitated because I assumed professionals only serviced high end pools on Kiawah, Seabrook etc. and would be beyond my budget. I have a 15K gallon on a few acres in the country. I was VERY wrong and wish Id called sooner. All ladies in the office have been great. Stephany has been very responsive & helpful in finding a solution that met my budget. She & Thomas have gone above & beyond helping me get my pool back to life. Its still a work in progress, but were only a few visits in. Im 100% confident my family will be swimming soon.If youre hesitant due to your particular budget, let them know what you have to work with. We needed a new pool liner, Heritage Pools helped us pick a great design that makes the pool look awesome! It also happened to match the siding color on our house in the design. We also opted to have Heritage Pools come out once a week to keep up with the cleaning and chemicals. I did NOT want to have a green gross pool. I have no idea how to take care of a pool, it was our first. They were very professional and several staff members were outstanding, like Abby Shea & Emanuel Gonzales!! They were the bomb and definitely the reason we continued with the services.

Great service! Having them install a Glacier Cooling Pump for me. They are awesome. Its actually the same price for them to order it for you and you get a better warranty than ordering online, because after shipping and taxes it comes out to be the same price to order through them, but you dont have the hassle of having to receive it at your house either. I called because my pump was not functioning correctly. The scheduler immediately knew who I was even though I’ve only used this service once before. She was friendly and got my appt. scheduled for the next day. The tech came out and within a few minutes discovered my problem. He showed me what I was doing wrong, tested my pool water and answered all of my many questions. He was also supposed to blow my pipes out but told me I didn’t need it. This company will not rip you off and will help make your pool experience a breeze.

We are in the process of having our pool built. Mackenzie Keohane, the Construction Coordinator, is very professional. She has kept us updated on where we are in the process weekly. We contracted with Heritage Pools after meeting with multiple pool companies. We chose Michael and his team at Heritage because of the quality product they offer for our challenging location on the marsh. We wanted to make sure we were going to build a pool that would not just be beautiful, but would last a long time and be easy to maintain. We got everything we asked for - the pool and spa are spectacular and with the new travertine patio we have a total oasis in our backyard. We are very happy that we did our homework and investigated multiple companies and we are very happy with the outcome. Edit to add: We’ve had our pool for a little over a year now. There was an issue with the fit of the liner and Heritage replaced it for us. We’ve had some communication problems toward the end of the project but overall are extremely happy with the quality of our pool.After months of researching pool companies and not feeling confident with anyone we spoke to, we finally discovered Heritage Pools. Within one meeting with David and Michael we knew they would be the company to build our pool. They were attentive to our wants and spent a significant amount of time that first day designing the pool of our dreams.We broke ground a couple of weeks ago and as of right now could not be happier with the process. Every step of the process has been explained in detail and we are communicated with frequently regarding the progress. The men working on our pool are efficient and leave a clean workspace at the end of each day. They are polite and gracious to our curious (and very excited) kids who frequently watch them from the porch. I have been quite impressed with the quality of the work so far and am excited to see our project continue to come to life.

Im pleased with the pool liner replacement just completed by Heritage Pools. The pool walls and bottom needed significant restoration before the new liner could be installed. We have been quite pleased with Heritage Pools throughout the planning, construction, and servicing phases of the process. When we decided to build a swimming pool we explored a variety of firms and Heritage stood out from the others. They were always quick to return our calls, provide estimates, and adjustments based upon our views. We found their pricing to be competitive with other firms and they performed to the contract. Work was done when promised and the site foreman keep us posted throughout the process. This was the first pool we have built, so we had many questions and the Heritage Team patiently answered our questions and offered other considerations that we would not have known to ask. We purchased a new home and decided to have a pool installed This was our first experience with a pool and we are certainly glad we contacted Heritage for a quote. The pricing was competitive and Michael and all his crew were all extremely professional, knowledgeable and made sure we knew what was going on each step of the way. The construction is a unique method well suited to the low country with our soft and wet ground conditions. Once the pool was completed they made sure the chemistry of the water was correct and explained how I could maintain it myself if I desired. I recommend these guys to anyone. Looks great as well!

Worst experience. Major issues with quality and schedule. Would not trust anything. I am now stuck with a pool that leaks, no chemicals (paid 1 yr already) and empty promises that they will make it right. Still waiting but doubt it will every be working properly.

I had purchased one of those above=ground Intex pools and after spending all the money on the pool, the saltwater system, etc. I just couldnt keep it clean. I wondered why I wasted all that money, then I hired Heritage to send someone out to take care of it, weekly. Suddenly, the water was always sparkling clean and we actually USED the pool. A completely worthwhile investment!

We have counted on Michael Gesmond and his staff for years to keep our pool sparkling clean, safeand enjoyable. We first contacted Heritage Pools because our vinyl liner had to be replaced. Our pool is a kidney shape with a bump out to the side. An odd style, but Heritage had no problems getting a custom liner for us quickly and installed it right away. That was years ago and it still looks like new.Weve had them re run pipes that our original installer did not run correctly, Heritage has replaced pump motors for the main filtration system and the Polaris pump. Theyve helped me when Algae tried to take over our water after a big storm followed by hot days with intense sunshine. I simply cant say enough good things about the professionalism and service weve experienced for the last many years of working with Heritage Pools. Weve tried others prior to Heritage....they dont hold a candle to these guys.I am not going to say anything bad on this review about the competitors...but will say if you are using any company to service your pool other than Heritage....you need to stop using those guys and give your business to Heritage Pools.... All of the folks on staff in office and in your back yard doing the work are GREAT.

Michael and his people put in a great pool for us and their customer service has not stopped after the job is done. Being 1st time pool owners we have ran into little questions here and there and Michael and his team have made sure to answer them all. We are also very confident in the structure of the pool after watching it be installed and it has even survived its first major flooding with no issues. I am sure we could have went elsewhere for maybe less money and it might have taken less time to install, but the quality of not only the product but the service before, during and after the installation makes going with Heritage Pools well worth it! Great job guys!!!

Joseph, who installed our new pool liner, did an awesome job, obviously knew what he was doing, and made sure the yard was picked up whenever he left the job site. Dealing with the office was a nightmare. There were several people who I spoke with, each having no idea what the others told me. It was nearly impossible to receive an email reply or returned phone call after the contract was signed. The project manager seemed to have a secret schedule that the customers werent privy to. Very frustrating company to work with but the end result was very good.

Heritage Pools performed all the installation work. This included the pool, plumbing, extended concrete apron/patio, high efficiency pump and filter system and a state of the art system controller. The work effort also included leveling the yard after extensive excavation and pool work. This did not include (but was offered) landscaping work to replace grass and sod.Owner Comments:The work began on the agreed to starting date. The Heritage team was here on time and in force. By the end of the first day, the hole was dug and the skeleton of the pool was constructed. Within three days, the complete pool structure, concrete apron/patio, plumbing and pump assembly were done. The only thing missing was the liner, due to restrictions of the cold weather. By the end of five working days, the pool was complete and was filling with water.The owner was on site during the entire installation and took charge of the team. The team worked constantly in installing the new pool.We competed several companies and pool construction options. Heritage was the lowest price with some higher product elements including premium valves, state of the art digital controls, a quiet high efficiency pumping system, a well point drainage system in case of high ground water and expanded plumbing for more returns. The offering also had a robot cleaner, an accessory that others were charging close to $1,000. The structure of the pool is quite substantial and cemented into place. The bottom is a hand sculpted hard substance over which the thick vinyl liner is placed. The liner is smooth with no wrinkles, bumps or bad spots.We had considered concrete/gunnite and fiberglass. All things considered, a vinyl lined pool was the best value.Heritage did a great job. They followed up after the work to make sure things were going well.

We had been wanting to install a pool for years, after we built our house. However, our yard was difficult to say the least. Not only are we marsh front, but there is also a Confederate battle mound on our property, which cannot be touched. This left very little room for a pool. But I was determined and called several local pool companies for an estimate. A few came out to assess and said it couldnt be done (one just stopped returning my calls!) Then we found Michael with Heritage Pools. He knew there would be challenges, but never said it couldnt be done. He explained that with our soil, concrete or fiberglass wouldnt work because the ground shifts and they will crack. But their I-beam brace could handle our high water table and ground movement.We first started talking with him about the pool 2 years ago, and after like 10 design changes (all my fault!), we finally have the pool of our dreams. He was patient and understanding when I would text him something I saw on Pinterest that I wanted to add on.We pretty much live in the pool now, best decision we ever made. I cant recommend Heritage Pools enough!

No matter how big or small the job or time of year (yes, even the middle of the summer), they are here immediately. Their prices are incredibly reasonable and their people are great. I stopped by the office at Heritage pools (unannounced) looking for information on building a pool. I had a rough idea of what I wanted, and had been doing research on other companies prior, and found positive reviews on Heritage. Michael, the owner, not only took the time to meet with me and explain all of the different options when building a pool, but he offered to personally take me to a few of his clients so I could see their pool. He did not pressure me into anything, but was thorough and detailed in answering all of my questions and concerns. He also encouraged me to visit other clients on my own (which I did) - Every client said the same thing: Michael is a perfectionist and was involved in every step of the process - he cares so much and has so much passion for what he doesEven after all of this, I still did my due diligence research and visited a few big-name local pool companies and none of them gave me the same peace of mind - in fact one company seemed really annoyed that I showed up without an appointment - AND I was always talking with the company sales people which made a big difference to me.The decision on who to build a pool with was an extremely important one for us - we wanted quality and peace of mind that it would be done right, and would last for a long time,and while I certainly wanted a fair price, quality was more important for us than pinching the wrong pennies.In the end we clearly chose Heritage (it was a no-brainer) and like everyone else had said, Michael was involved every step of the way - even when I threw curve balls at him by changing our construction date, and other last minute changes. He was always available and responded to questions day or night, 7 days/week. He is so committed and delivers a level of customer service that is very hard to find anymore. (He even surprised me by having our pool finished a week early) I should also mention that every single person that we encountered that works for Heritage was awesome as well. We love our pool and could not be happier with the decision that we made.

Heritage Pools performed the following: rust removal & sealing, installing a well point, replumbing the skimmer and main drain, adding rock and hopper, replaced the skimmer, replaced the pump basket, replaced the sheet metal patch over the old light fixture, and replaced the vinyl liner.The project started out as a vinyl liner replacement, but since the pool was so old, it needed a lot of work. Heritage notified me each step of the way with the issue, the risks, the alternatives, and the costs. Heritage also saved me approximately $750 by reusing parts and performing minor tasks along the way. Their sound recommendations will help prevent additional costs in the near-term. The crew sent me pictures during the process so I could see the work since I was not able to be there.I am truly appreciative of the work Heritage Pools performed at my house. The professionalism of the crew and customer service was above and beyond my expectations! It was truly a pleasure working with Marc and Ashley on this project. I will gladly go back to Heritage Pools for any future pool needs.

I have no experience with their workmanship, but I do question their ability to price a project. They came highly recommended by a friend. I asked for an estimate to replace and add concrete to our existing pool area, then add cool decking when they were through. Their estimate came in at $12,400.00. I of course received other estimates when that one seemed a little out of the ballpark. The job was started and completed in 2 days by another contractor for a grand total of $4850. Caveat emptor.

Tamatha & Stephany have been wonderful women to work with at the office anytime my pool needs something, and the weekly technicians are excellent and thorough who clean the pool with care and address any issues that may come up. I have been using Heritage for a few years now for weekly service and pool care and they have wonderful personnel and know their business well. Highly recommend for pool care and maintenance.

Im a repeat customer, after first experience i wasnt sure Michael and Heritage Pools were for me, but I bit the bullet and here i am 9 years later. Michael has grown both in service and business since his garage days on James Island. The Heritage crew has made great advances professionally and customer service is not to be beat. Michael has employed a very nice and knowledgeable young man that recently installed our new liner. This was a Heritage replacement that just needed a new face and updated design. The Crew took extra time and effort to make sure the dimensions and numbers were right before the liner was ordered. There is one little problem with the puck on the steps but feel as the weather warms and the liner gets a little stretch Billy will correct this. Michaels price was right, the liner is a new design and the pool looks great just waiting for swimming weather.

To the Rescue: The water table in our yard is very high, and our pool is located just feet away from a lake. When another pool company dewatered the pool to replace the liner, the side of the pool cracked and a stream of water, sand and mud poured into the pool. Attempts to pump out the ground water from around the pool were unsuccessful. We were beginning to think that the pool was history. I spoke with some other pool companies in the area. They all recommended the same action – call Heritage Pools. Thanks to Heritage we now have a viable pool with a new liner. They systematically added well points and tested conditions until they were confident that the pool could be dewatered safely. Once the pool was successfully dewatered, they moved quickly to reinforce and repair the impacted parts of the pool. Their personnel were always professional and methodical in their approach. Michael, the owner, stopped by daily to assess the project’s progress. We received explanations and thorough communications from Michael and his team throughout the process. I highly recommend Heritage Pools to anyone considering a pool for their yard, or in need of a liner replacement or other pool repairs.

We needed a pool FAST and Heritage Pool beat the deadline with a beautiful pool and backyard retreat that we love! We were informed all the way through the process. The most stressful part....... Complete pool full of water shining and you can’t get in because the plaster has to set for 14 days! OMG! Keith came and gave us “pool school” and it was awesome! We learned so much! We have now finished our SECOND pool with Heritage Pools, LLC and it is amazing. We wanted another volleyball sports bottom pool and it has been a huge win with our vacation rental guests for Carolina Elegance.From helping us get the old deck and above ground horrid pool (that came with the house) to the finished product all went well.
