Facilities are std Courtyard with pool for those interested. Slept on east side and road noise from Montague Rd was pretty heavy overnight. AC was a lot rickety/noisy but kept room cool. Room had a balcony which was nice for fresh air but loud due to said road noise above. Breakfast is very limited with to go continental only but such is Covid these days. Staff was masked and friendly but many patrons were not wearing masks. Lastly airport shuttle was fast and convenient for pickup...
Positive: The staff was amazing! The COVID regulations changed while we were there and the concierge went ABOVE and BEYOND to assist us in getting to a testing site as well as assisting us with the many needs of the area.
Positive: The staff are amazing and truly accommodating. Negative: The restaurant has turned into a bistro but corporate hasnt opened it for business. Wi-Fi doesnt work. Microwaves in the hallway. Ice machines do not work on every floor. Basically, all the extra stuff they say they provide, they dont.
My stay here has been amazing. The staff are the epitome of professionalism. Its does not matter if your need is small or large, they will go the extra mile for their customers. My stay has been some what of a sensative situation. The staff even takes extra measures to assure my safety. i adore each and everyone, however my conversation is normally with Jeremy and Ashley. There is also someone else who deserves recognition and that is Jeanie Franks.
Its a good hotel for a last-minute booking. Its a quiet and family-friendly hotel. Grab and go breakfast, no room service unless you request it, and you also have to request additional towels. The pool closes at 9 pm which is early
Mrs Naia Monique at the front desk was amazing she was a big help and made me feel right at home. Great staff and awesome experience 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 I’ll definitely be back
Had a great stay for a close baseball tournament in Charleston. Rooms were well cleaned, nice outdoor pool and lounge area. Breakfast wasn’t the best, “grab and go” but was due to COVID protocols, no fault of the staff. Danielle and Ethan were very accommodating and helpful. Kids had a blast. Would stay here again.
Stay was terrible but the front desk lady niya (pretty mask) was pleasant she helped with the issues and made our trip somewhat decent. Other than that I dont recommend whatsoever. Very outdated.
I would love to teach a class in customer serviceCourtyard Marriott-North Charleston SC GENERAL MANAGER IS HORRIFIC i pray no one treats her or her family the way she treated my motherHow far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these. - George Washington Carver.I hope she remembers SHE CHOSE CUSTERMER SERVICE AS A CARRERwe didnt make you be hereDate of stay: July 2021
Amenities were still closed due to covid. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff was polite and helpful. The elevators felt a bit sketchy though. Beyond that seems to be a safe place next to city hall. Lots of police presence.
The young lady at the front desk on Saturday morning was awesome. She was very pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.
Positive: well maintained and had a restaurant Negative: shower was cold
I booked a stay on the Marriott Bonvoy app yesterday around 4:00pm. Everything was confirmed, so we drove five hours to get here. I used to app to check in when we parked, but when my two young daughters and I came in to the front desk (super late by the way, almost 10:00pm at this point), the front desk told me they were full and my confirmation number was no good. He absolutely could not have given a &$@? that we had nowhere to go that late, and continued about his business. Luckily the Hampton by Hilton across the street had room and not only is it affordable, but they were SO NICE. Complimentary full breakfast. Clean and spacious rooms. Professional employees.
Room was not clean. Headed board was nasty. Coffee table and chairs were not wiped down. My rag had dirt from cleaning santizing everything. Carpet had stains. Bed felt like you were sleeping on a table. Definitely would recommend another Marriott location because this location needs work representing their brand and needs remodeling.
Positive: The location Negative: There were no microwave in room, the continental breakfast was cereal, milk, juice, coffee and I wasn¿t pleased. There were used shower supplies that shouldn¿t be used because of Corvid
Super nice hotel very clean and smells amazing there
Positive: Loved my room, liked my balcony. Convenient location. Negative: Would have appreciated signage outlining the policy of having 2 down, 2 foam pillows.
Rooms are outdated furniture is old tv is to small needs to be renovated stains on my sheets and towels found weave on the floor
Quiet hotel, nice beds, but roaches around lobby elevator, and dusty room, possibly Air conditioner not cleaned out.
The manager of this hotel is disrespectful and rude. Worst stay I’ve had. When checking in the hotel I was given a room with blood stains all over the sheets. They only offered me to switch rooms instead of explaining why there was blood stains all over the sheets especially in a pandemic where I would think they would take cleanliness as a precaution. Then to make matters worst, I am also an Ambassador Elite who requested a 4:00 pm checkout and they allowed housekeeping to still come in before it was time for me to check out and clean the room throwing away all of the thing I had left in the fridge. I will definitely not be staying here again !
Its slightly dated, but good overall. They have wonderfully comfortable memory foam beds. Microwaves are being phased out of hotel rooms, but this hotel hasnt done so yet. The TVs are pretty dated. Overall, certainly worth the price.
Friendly staff and comfortable/clean rooms!
Decent but starting to show its age
Wonderful hotel. Great staff and service. Would highly recommend this hotel.
I was relocated to SC for a travel nursing assignment. Was having issues with my planned housing and other issues out of my control so needed a hotel for a night. Booking with them was a breeze and Clariza at the front desk took time to help me get something I needed printed from their business center. Her kindness overall completely turned my day around. If I’m ever in the area again, I will choose this place over and over. Hard to come by people that actually care these days. Clean rooms, great hospitality. Proof is you never know what someone else may be going through, so be kind to everyone. Thanks again Clariza.
My stay was very nice and relaxing; just what I needed.
Positive: We love the hotel. The staff was polite and professional. If I have to go back north, I will definitely stop in that hotel again. Thank you Negative: N/A
Positive: Clean and spacious room. Very nice people Negative: Wish the microwave was in the room. They have the microwave on the floor in the hall near the ice machine which is goo because some places you would have to go downstairs to the lobby to heat food up.
Very convenient and comfortable.nights stay
Close to the airport but not in the best place in North Charleston. You know there is trouble when the front desk tells you to take all of your valuables out of your car overnight!
Positive: Very clean and staff was very nice and friendly. More then helpful
Nice place nice staff terrible pillows lol and terrible channel choices
Hotel is very nice. My only issue is they mislead you on the websites. You think they have breakfast when all you get is a grab and go.
Positive: Friendly staff. Clean room. Negative: Cold self service breakfast due to covid.
Nice and clean, really enjoyed the time their
Great Hotel! Nice Rooms! Great Staff!
This Courtyard Marriot was a good value for a quality stay. We were in what seemed to be a safe location and were centrally located to food, fun and shopping. The accmodations were standard and the room was exceptionally clean. Note it does seem to be near a paper plant so from time to time theres a smell that wafts around but could not be detected in our room. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. Additionally, the pump soap was a niche touch! Its a mid grade price at an above average location with excellent service.
The hotel seemed old. They should change the carpet or do a deep cleaning. We stayed in 6 different Marriotts in last 12 days as were driving to/from DC from/to Florida. I felt all the Courtyard Marriotts need a little bit of renovation work. The Fairfield Inns we stayed during this holidays seemed more clean and renovated.
Cozy and close to downtown and other activities around Charleston.
Positive: Nice staff. Clean. Good value. Negative: Location is not exciting but it is functional. Near airport and major highways.
They are not kind to the disabled. They will decline your service or ESA animal even with full disability paperwork. To busy for a conversation or to show the actual policy. Could have at least put the time in and looked at the well prepared documents, you know be human. We came with a medical response dog and a trained ESA but it was not even worth the fight, I just won’t return or suggest.
Positive: It was so clean! Negative: The area was a little farther away from historic Charleston than we would’ve liked !
Not at all worth $230 a night...room was small..tv out dated....air conditioning look broke..the lobby looks nothing like the quality of the rooms..youre basically paying for just the balcony...nothing else
Very nice and clean hotel. They were going through some renovations but did not bother our stay at all. It was an early morning flight so we did not eat breakfast or use any of the restaurant services. Shuttle service to the airport was excellent and just minutes away. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Doesn’t look like the pool is used much for it has a little bit of algae. Overall very nice hotel and would stay here again.
The Courtyard by Marriott North Charleston Airport/Coliseum is a great hotel that is conveniently located in the middle of everything in the Charleston area including the airport and interstates 26 and 526. This location is easy to get to from just about anywhere in Charleston. I like that there is a movie theater withing walking distance and the swimming pool area is good. This hotel is great for business purposes as there is plenty of open spaces and meeting rooms to have meetings and get work done. The staff here is amazing and does everything that they can to make sure that guests have what they need at all times. This hotel is well managed and run and offers a consistent and quality stay that is dependable.
Had to cancel my 2 week stay. Business owner does not reinvest into his rooms at all. Old, dirty appearances that makes it look like a Brooklyn basement. Great customer service though. But you gotta have both to please me. Did not feel safe, not even when Police station being next to the place. Gave it 2 stars because of the great ladies in the front desk.
The rooms was nice old but nice.
Nice quiet location. Hidden back. Next to movie threater and police complex.
Doug had excellent customer service and even took the extra time to talk me through how to use the complimentary wifi and stream my shows. Excellent customer service and went above and beyond.
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary trip. It was fantastic! Suite was roomy, comfortable, not cramped at all. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony (we travel with our own old-fashioned coffee pot as most hotels only offer single-serve kcup variety) as we do at home. The room has no microwave, but thats fine with us, as we dont normally have food leftovers to reheat. The bath was a bit disappointing, standard tub in separate room with toilet, and the vanity was small with no shelf for personal items. Desk & chair was nice - a step above the standard. Internet connection was fast & easy. There is a small frig which is nice. Limited outlets and some didnt work, but enough did so we were not hampered with our electronics. If you have more than 2 phones and 1 laptop, bring a power strip. The staff was absolutely great! Very friendly & helpful, providing travel instructions and restaurant recommendations. They couldnt be better. The bar-restaurant menu is limited, showing health-nut options, but the staff are willing to customize orders to remove that feature, which is unusual and very much appreciated! The food is fresh and very good. We will be returning to this location on our next trip to Charleston!

Last minute reservation but it was a great choice. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful!! The beds were very clean and soft! Instead of the little tiny bottles in the bathroom they provided bigger bottles attached to the shower. Genius idea for a hotel. 15-20 mins from attractions and beach. Seems like a long drive but it was quick. Movie theater next door and felt safe as police office across the street. Would definitely stay again!
Clean, comfy beds friendly staff!
Positive: Clean, comfortable bed
Positive: Beds were extremely comfortable! Negative: Cant think of anything
Great stay and great service
If it weren’t for Camille who works in the evening at the bistro… I would not recommend this hotel. However because of her, I have to. She was absolutely amazing. Catered to everyone’s need no matter how many people were there. She never stops. She makes you laugh and always remembers you from day today. By far one of the best Marriott employees I’ve ever encountered. Kelly and Michael/Oklahoma
The hotel is old, the decor and dingy aesthetics doesnt meet Marriotts standards by a long shot. But my biggest complaint is the smell of urine in the rooms, we stayed for two nights once before a flight once when we landed. The first room smelled like feet the second urine. The only reason I am giving the 2 stars is because the people who work here have been friendly, professional, and helpful. Its a shame they dont spiff up the hotel because because they have a great team of employees at this location, its the actual hotel and rooms that are so perfectly horrific.
Very nice wonderfully staff room was clean and meet vallet service to airport
This place was amazing! Excellent stay. Me and my wife came for a getaway weekend and will definitely be coming back! The room was clean and relaxing. Everything was nicely done and took care of.
Positive: Everything Negative: No
Normally I would expect Marriott to have a consistent standard across the country or world. We needed a last minute hotel for the evening. Did a quick search, didnt read the reviews but had a strong average of star rating, and a good rate. Booked. The room was musty and stale, it felt old and out of date. The carpet didnt look clean, I would not walk in bare feet and found a hair in the sheets. We only stayed overnight from about 9PM - 3AM otherwise, I would have definitely asked to have our room changed. I felt in shock and in awe of the cleanliness and how not up to date the property/our room felt. This does not include the lobby. The best part about it was the proximity to the airport. Aside from that not many perks. We never saw it in daylight.
Had a wonderful stay at Courtyard in N. Charleston. It was very close to everything. It is right off I-26. Great Brazilian steakhouse right across the parking lot. Movie theater right there as well. Red Lobster right across the street. On the opposite side of the highway are more great eateries like Bone Fish Grill. I feel it is a nice location not right in the heart of Charleston but close enough to get to the beach quick. Outlet shopping very close as well. Was a nice stay for a quick anniversary get away.
My weekend business trip turned into more of a vacation after my event was canceled. I decided to make the best out of it and stay the weekend. I LOVED the hotel!!! I traveled with my business partner and it was a very relaxing girls weekend! The food was amazing, especially the pancakes for breakfast and the brussell sprouts appetizer at dinner!! The food is made fresh and is hot and so good! The staff is VERY friendly, professional and will go out of their way to make sure you, the customer, is happy! I have stayed at this hotel twice and would surely stay again and again!
Positive: The housekeeping ladies were really nice and they actually gave me towels. Negative: One front desk person was rude and did not give any info at all.
The hotel is outdated and the quality is pretty low. The staff is very nice but they do not have much to work with. You definitely get what you pay for in this hotel.
Great Staff, very friendly. Great experience.
We only stayed for one night, but hearing people walk on the floor above us was a nightmare. The receptionist was very nice, and we quickly got to our room on the second floor. The quality of the room, is typical for Courtyard, everything was clean, and well stocked. The TV wasn’t that great, but we didn’t expect much. But the constant thumping noises were a real pain. You could hear everyone above us. The location is fine, near the airport and also near some decent restaurants. All in all, it is a typical Courtyard hotel.
Beautiful and clean hotel.
Great hotel friendly service
DO NOT STAY HERE! We love Marriott, but this place was AWFUL!The hallway had a terrible odor of sanitation getting off the elevator. The room we checked into had a strong urine smell. We changed rooms and our new room did not smell but was FILTHY. There was crumbs and used utensils on the floor as well as a dead bug. Front desk staff was lovely. Housekeepers knocked on our door at 9AM wanting to know what time we were leaving... check out wasnt until 12pm. But we were happy to shake our luggage and clothes out and check out asap.
This property is firing on all cylinders. The staff here, is exceptional. Front desk, housekeeping and even maintenance, everyone is committed to 100% guest satisfaction. This property is very convenient to the CHS airport, and the Amtrak station. It is a great alternative to the overpriced downtown properties. An Uber ride will deliver you downtown in 15 minutes, for $14. However, the real jewel here, is the staff. Southern hospitality, meets the highest level of guest satisfaction. The management here, has been able to assemble an amazing staff of very genuine, caring people. Well done!!
The hotel location is great. Its close to local restaurants and shopping. There is a bistro in the hotel but it seems a bit pricey. They do not offer a continental breakfast here, which is important to me. The staff has been friendly. Overall, Ive enjoyed my stay.
Mia and Doug are Genuine People! CourtYard by Marriott is lucky to have them both! Promote them BOTH!
Very clean room, helpful staff, and good breakfast.
Decent place maintained well. Staff very friendly. Their advertised restraunt and bar was nothing but an overpriced coffee stand with very limited choices. Dont order a cocktail. $10.50 for about 6oz of mixed beverage. Their food was delicious and the coffee was Starbucks. The airport shuttle was a nice incentive.
Excellent Hotel centrally located and the people are friendly
My experience at this Marriott property started of awfully and the reason for 4 stars instead of 1 was because the GM Brandon Waller addressed the matter appropriately and swiftly making me feel confident that my experience was not the norm and what transpired would be addressed. Additionally everybody else I interacted with at the hotel other then below, was a good experience. When I booked the hotel about 1 week out I verified that the shuttle would be able to pick me up at 12/1230 am. Their shuttle runs till 11 but they said if I called they would pick me up. I had 2 kids with me under the age of 3 so it was rather important that a shuttle would be available with the car seats etc. The day of I called again mid day to confirm and verify also to let them know to plan on picking my family up...I got no problem. When I arrive I called for the shuttle, I was told that is it not offered at 1230 am and that I can call and uber or taxi etc. The person I spoke to was very rude and inconsiderate. She kept asking me whom I spoke to, I said I dont know here is the time I called, she said she doesnt know who was there as if her knowing this would somehow change anything. After a few min I got nowhere, so now wait for a cab 30 min with two small kids etc. Finally got a cab setup the car seats got kids in and the shuttle arrived for my hotel. I was mad. I took the cab because the driver already committed 20 min to us to get us loaded in. This cost me $35. Arrived at the hotel the lady whose voice was the same as on the phone denied everything. I took my phone while we were talking in the lobby and redialed the same number she picked up...still denied everything.
Took a one-week roadtrip to seven different cities. Of all the hotels in which I stayed, this one was the best!Great staff — super professional and efficient. Clean, comfortable, and quiet rooms. I slept so darn well. Really wish I could have stayed for a week. I *will* be back!
The rooms are spacious and not the typical hotel layout. A very large bath and a sofa make it nice, but they supply a generous amount of shampoo, body wash and conditioner. Its a really decent hotel with lots of amenities.
Very satisfying. Clean and food was great. Loved the shower in our room. The pool was nice. Front desk staff was ok but the lady who checked us in was not friendly.
The staff at this hotel by far made an amazing impression. Always friendly, smiling and willing to help out. The breakfast food was delicious and the evening cocktails helped to wind down after a long day. The only thing I could suggest to make better are the beds and pillows. The mattresses werent horrible but Ive certainly slept on better at other Marriott properties. The pillows really need to be better. This is a great hotel with a good location and plenty of things to do and places to eat nearby. Certainly worth a stay if youre in town!
Very nice and comfortable. And very clean !!!
We traveled to Charleston with our 10 year old daughter for a quick get away once the school year ended. The hotel was very nice and clean. Our first night there I took my daughter to the pool in which she had all to herself. It was very peaceful. We had a king suite, the bed was very comfy for my husband and I and my daughter enjoyed sleeping out front on the pull out sofa bed. She had her own space away from home. While the food in the lobby market was overly priced, this would be the only negative comment I have. We would stay again!
Nice hotel. Excellent staff. Conveniently located, just a few minutes from old town, plantations and other venues. NCPAC, airport and the outlet mall is 3 minutes away. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Good breakfast and drinks in the evening. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Most of the staff was pleasant, the room was not clean, found what like to be a big red stain. Very disappointed with the Marriott brand, we always stay with them when traveling.
The lively bistro/bar and lobby area at the entrance was a nice warm welcome. It is nicely decorated and arranged. Our house was without power because of the hurricane Irma and we were glad to find the hotel had power & internet. There is a multiplex cinema within walking distance.
Kind, courteous, professional. Staff was extremely accommodating during hurricane Dorian. Thanks for all your hard work
This hotel is about 5-10 minutes away from the coliseum and Tanger Outlets. There are many closer, nicer hotels if youre interested in being close to that area. There are no fast food restaurants in walking distance either. When I walked into the hotel I had trash that I needed to throw away but the trashcan was overflowing outside. This should have been a red flag to me. The lobby is very nice but the rooms are outdated. The furniture is old, the linens were stained, the toilet didnt flush, and the showerhead was dirty. None of the trashcans in the room had trash bags in them either. I was extremely tired and needed to sleep so I made do in the room for one night but Ill never stay in this hotel again, Ill choose another Marriott property. Im done with Courtyard Marriotts.

Good location, nice lobby and pool. 2 of 4 elevators were down my 4 day stay, so not good when you are on the 16th floor. Also Concierge lounge not open after Friday breakfast to even use the facility?
Terrible check-in process. Put in room next to elevator, while my profile expressly states room assignment should not be in proximity of elevators. Two trips back to front desk to obtain working key. Waiting nearly and hour for hotel shuttle back to airport (only 1 mile distance). Terrible attitude of desk staff. While waiting for shuttle at 10:30 AM, could not find any means for a cup of coffee. Front desk staff refused to sell me a cup of coffee since the cafe was closed (purse nonsense). Just a terrible experience. I spend about 70 nights per year on business travel; often at a Marriott property. I would suggest never booking at this hotel. They seem incapable of dealing with the basics and providing hospitality to a really good customer. Marriott should consider customer service training for this propertys staff. Currently they get an F for failing rating from me.
Upon arriving at the hotel, the appearance is immediately beautiful and modern. The lady that attended to us was extremely hospitable and gave us excellent recommendations for sight seeing in Charleston. We took advantage of her recommendations and enjoyed our visit immensely. She was top notch and saw us off the next day as well. Breakfast was made to order and excellent!
Rooms are dated... needs a refresh. Loved the brake fast with starbucks coffee and snacks.
The woman in the bandana is sexy, lovely and sweet my curiosity for the boys comment was real. Comfortable and clean rooms
