The staff seemed nice. However, Im so use to a very outgoing, Hello, Welcome staff. They are usually walking around cleaning and making sure everyone is good or need anything. Standing behind the counter on the cell phone looking down barely making eye contact is not the Planet Fitness way.

Everytime I come the employees are cleaning the gym and the machines. The bathrooms are the cleanest public restrooms Ive been in. They actually really scrub the showers. The employees are always friendly and professional. Ive been to the Mt Pleasant location and Ive never seen anyone cleaning at all. So Im not sure if they only do it at certain shifts but I would think every shift would do a little cleaning. I actually feel very comfortable at this gym

Been going to this gym for about 4 months and love it. People clean the equipment and there’s never a broken machine on the line. Glad to have a cardio row machine too.

I always feel comfortable here. The QR codes that show you how to use the machines is very helpful. Though the app that logs the workout for you through the Code on the front always says the machines are not registered, so I’ve been tracking my workouts through my smart watch.Will this location ever fully return to 24/7 schedule? I like to get an early workout but my shifts at work start at 5am.

Planet Fitness in Northwoods Mall in North Charleston is a well managed Planet Fitness location that has everything that you need for a great workout and more. I really like the location and being able to get in and out anytime. The staff here is very helpful and makes everything work.

Great place! I love the hydro massage! It is absolutely one of the most relaxing massages you’ll ever receive! Great for after a workout! Their tanning beds are awesome too! Great staff, clean equipment and just a wonderful place to go workout at!

Its practically impossible to quit the gym, some of the people who work there are very awesome and genuine, however some are lazy and could care less. They need to start taking cash again, because sometimes you dont have a credit card on you. For tanning and massage chairs alone it is a pretty good deal for the black card. The 30 Minute Express is a heck of a workout also. And its a good place to go at 3am when the only open things are McDonalds and WalMart.

The facility is kept clean with attendants going around regularly to refill paper towel dispensers and cleaning solution bottles. Everyone working out is doing his and her part to keep the equipment clean so the next person is comfortable to use a clean machine. Music is upbeat, so getting a good workout is fairly easy. The crowd meter is very helpful in allowing you to choose the best time that works for you. Staff is friendly and helpful.

For the money cant beat it. The staff seems to always be changing and some are more concerned with their cell phones then noticing the customers that come in. The tanning beds always have issues and it seems that they have all never worked at the same time. The place is clean and machines always work. They have every other machine turned off for covid precautions. If the staff was better i would give it a better rating.

I usually am just a member so I can tan, as I did this evening check in is a breeze using app on phone and tanning is just as easy didn’t have to wait, I would say that the tanning salons should be cleaned a little better, I do believe everyone who operates them has to get a license and for some reason the stand up beds no one ever cleans the bottom always trash, skin particles on bottom, I wear flip flops and clean it myself but operators should take a little incentive

So Ive been to various planet fitness gym in multiple states. Which is why I joined, there are in more locations than any other gym Ive been a member of. This location is the first that Ive seen personal TVs on the floor equipment, NICE!!!! They also have the largest showers with dual shower heads. This location isnt the biggest but it is one of the most friendliest. Two thumbs up, so if you ever in the area I recommend a visit.

Down 10 pounds in 2 weeks by doing the treadmill every day. If I can do it,anyone can.

Great place and the staff were actively cleaning and disinfecting. There were stations all over the place to wipe equipment down and all.

I just walked passed it inside the mall and manage to tally up 14,797 steps, burn 1148.7 cal. after spending 3hrs. and 2mins. walking a total distance of 6.31miles just spending money 🤑. Planet fitness looks like a great place to be without having to spend money and achieve the same outcome.😂🤣😂

Love working out at planet fitness. Its clean and no pressure. Its easy to use all the different machines and makes a difference in your routine.

Been a member since it opened. It’s clean, staff is friendly and professional. Mask requirement is enforced. Plenty of cardio equipment. Would be great if it could expand to create more space.

Its a really nice gym located in Northwoods Mall has all the amenities of the standard planet fitness I do like the layout it is large.

I felt very safe and secure while my family and I were working out at the NorthWoods PF!!

Ive spent the past year dealing with membership issues; dealt with multiple staff members in multiple clubs with multiple pointless phone calls. Its been a frustrating aggravation.That is until today, February 28th, when I spoke to Amanda. Amanda was a rockstar who completely solved my problem in 5 minutes 48 seconds. A problem that multiple other staff members couldnt handle in a year.........Amanda got it done in under 6 minutes.

I love Planet Fitness and have been a dedicated member for several years. The staff is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about fitness. They had a very clean and safe facility before the pandemic begun and I know that they will continue to put the members safety first. I had no reservations about returning.

The people are always helpful. I live4 Planet at Northwoids, its quiet, neat and clean. Lots of different machines to help me stay strong.Love the big Shower Head !!!!

This gym is the best for those that want a calm cool atmosphere of like minded fitness enthusiasts. I have had, from day one, excellent customer service, awesome workouts, and great advice on what areas to work out and how to maximize my time. If you are looking for a gym . I have visited all locations in the Charleston and Columbia areas and Northwoods is hands down my favorite! The staff is always so welcoming and helpful and the machines are kept so clean and fresh! I am there at least 5 out of 7 days a week, if not more. Keep up the good work! Yall do a great job! I am one happy member and down 60 lbs from last year at this time!

The manager is very friendly she speaks to everyone. She makes you feel like your at home when you come to work out awesome attitude. She has her staff cleaning the heck out of the gym all the time! Most important she leads by example because she is always cleaning also. I have been coming to this location off and on since it first open. I have seen managers come and go.... she is the best I have seen thus far. I have visit all of the surrounding Planet Fitness gyms.....I can assure you Northwoods is the cleanest. I love the atmosphere, it starts with the staff..

Plenty of equipment! But I go to PF really early in the morning. My favorite room is the 30 min workout. I love how the lights tell me when to move!

Its very clean, not crowded after work, way finding is VERY CLEARLY marked- better than most grocery stores I try to navigate right now. It is so nice to unwind on my way home after work. I have missed the gym more that ANYthing else during lock down.

Good price for the gym needs. If you have the black card you can sign up for different classes and use their hydro massage chair and tanning beds. Its open 24 hrs a day so you can come when you need. Plus you can also bring a buddy if you have a black card. Gets fairly full in the afternoons so I prefer the 8-10 am seems less full. Happy work outs if you come.

I come to Northwoods PF while Im in town working ( I commute from Columbia and stay for a few days/a week at a time). Being able to access this gym has been a life saver. Every single staff person has been helpful and kind! the cleanliness of the locker rooms and gym area are impressive! Thanks for all you do.

I had been there,but Im not a member.The place is big, clear, ventilated beautiful decotared, .good equipment. clean.ameniyies are certainly a plus .Bed taning .red light therapy (improved your beauty skin as well your muscle recovery, or toning muscles or relaxing muscles depending which program you select.

I have been in several planet fitness gyms in different states and this one is by far the best. Clean facility, friendly and helpful staff, Machines are kept clean and are mostly newer, and have a few machines that other facilities dont have. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience while visiting in the area.

Went in with my family to get info and get a tour of facility waited for about 15min. Never got the tour just about to take my own tour but decided to leave and go elsewhere hoping to be welcomed better. Seems like a nice facility.

I cant stress the staff and how clean this Gym is... I have never joined a gym that makes me come back everyday. I take the classes with Brendan (instructor) there and he has made it the Best Experience possible. You should take his class, he is professional and friendly and very quick to notice if you need help during your workout. My result are amazing. Cant thank Brendan enough for keeping us motivated for the last 4 months.

I normally go late at night to early morning its peaceful and clean! It never fails that when I go Christina is always on top of making sure that the equipment is wiped down and the bathrooms are clean! She is a wonderful worker always busy and extremely friendly! She always takes the time to see how I am doing and to accommodate anything that I need! Shes is one of the reasons why I come at the times that I come!!

I love the environment and the energy but I believe the equipment that a black card member pays for such as the 2 hydro massage chairs only one being in working condition and the other being out of commission for weeks if it is fixed yet?? Everything else is awesome!

Just recently upgraded to a black card at the Northwoods location. Love the massage beds but wish I could get more than ten minutes at a time. This new staff crew is MUCH nicer than before. One male trainer NEVER says hello or greets you (African American male) but everyone else, very nice. A previous worker (Charles) was awesome, sad he no longer works there.

1 rotten apple spoils a bunch! Denied workout because of 10 dollar balance that could only be paid at club you opened the account with. Even so most civil people would allow you 2 work out but settle the debt b4 your next visit.

This place over charged me.

Very nice staff, decent equipment (dumbbells only go to 75#), no gym towel service, no small lockers to store small valuables, spreads that clients rarely re rack weights on Smith machines. Received free will as part of a promotion (I was lucky), or would have been $20 per day guest pass! Wow!! So much for $10 per month, no obligation...Thats false advertising in my personal opinion. Read the fine print before you sign up for the judge-free-zone!!!

Best time to go is 6am

Although the staff is friendly and the gym is kept clean. Its far too small for the amount of member that come. Men will spend 30 to 40 minutues doing the same set on the same cable, bench, etc. The creepiness of who comes here as well is on another level. I refuse to come here alone after 4pm because of it

General Manager Grace Balfour is an extremely rude person. Will NOT visit this location again. Facilities are great, however, one person can ruin all of that! She is a nasty little spiteful person!

I was in this evening with some billing questions for my account, a young guy named Curtis was working the front desk on his own, when I first walked in he was signing a family up for their gym memberships while checking everyone in and answering multiple questions., After he explained all the amenities to them he started helpi g me, while several people were checking in and leaving not forgetting to say goodbye to a single one. Curtis is a rarity in customer service today someone who can multi task and still be friendly and helpful to everyone. Staff is polite.Not crowded at least the hours I’m there 7 am -10am. I am a black card holder and for the price I pay I couldn’t get the bonuses that come with it anywhere else. I am very pleased with this gym. And definitely recommend it.

Gym is very clean, staff is professional and friendly, and there’s a large variety of equipment to choose from. Gym is in a great, convenient location attached to the mall. Will definitely be making this my preferred gym from now on.

Brittany and grace are AHH-MAZING, they’re always around and always giving up some much needed confidence boosting speeches!! I have NEVER wanted to go to the gym so much! Their energy sets the mood of the gym and will have you wanting to run a marathon!!

Christina is so AMAZING and happy and friendly when I come in! She is always excited to see us! She makes sure we have everything we need! She always has this place sparkling clean! She deserves a promotion!

I usually end up coming in very late at night / early am. I especially enjoy Thursday thur saturday as the young lady Christina working those nights has always been so helpful and very kind. I was not given a tour when i signed up and she went above and beyond to make sure i had all the information i needed to have and enjoy my workouts. She is definitely an asset to PF :)
