I cant find an apartment that beats Aurora in Moco. I had a 2b/2b and loved everything about my unit. Now i regret ever moving. The leasing office is amazing and maintenance was my favorite. Katherine is great and Issac is awesome! I loved the events pre pandemic. They arent cheap with them either. I loved not being in the madness of Pike and Rose but walking distance. GREAT TIME ON THE 10TH FLOOR GROG VIEW.
Amazing apartment complex! Fernando was our leasing consultant and was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond from day 1 which made us really want to live here. The apartment and views are gorgeous. Isaac and Jose are absolutely the best!!! Any maintenance issue we’ve had with our apartment, however minor they have been quick to come and fix it and help. Their service is honestly top notch. Super professional, friendly, and always available when needed. The quality of service from these guys alone makes this apartment truly outstanding. Highly recommend this apartment!
Watch out for the sounds of the train running nearby, usually at night, it is pretty annoying. Same goes for the construction work. The unit I have is pretty old, so Ive had to deal with some issues, such as: hot water running out in the shower; toilet not flushing properly; pipes leaking; dishwasher not cleaning properly. But the the maintenance team has really been awesome and has almost immediately helped me out with these issues, including replacing my dishwasher.I havent really interacted with anyone at the leasing office, except for Katherine Ore, who is just awesome and super helpful.Kyle at the front desk is super personable and friendly and puts you in a good mood when you walk in or out of the building. The big negative is the gym. If they had a free weight squat rack put in (costs less than 1K), it would be great. As is, its just an apartment gym.Overall, this is not a bad place to live, especially considering the area and the prices.
If you are looking for a studio in this apartment, please avoid the 8th unit (**08) of each floor. Its wall sharing with the 6th unit is not resistant to noise. It cannot be soundproof but less resistant than walls in other units, I believe. I like most of the things about this apartment, but due to my neighbors noise, I am moving out soon. For me, this noise is more annoying than train noise. Example 1: the previous neighbors dog noise. Example 2: the current neighbors bass music/movie noise even at midnight. And yes, definitely, I can hear when my neighbor is talking loudly on the phone, when running the sink disposal machine or when closing doors of the pantry closets.
I lived there from 6/2015 - 6/2017 and had a wonderful experience. The management here was top notch and took care of any issues in a timely manner. Other residents that lived here were either other young professionals or young families so it was pretty quiet and safe. The front desk concierge was pretty good too, especially Gavin, (but recently left) and he was definitely the BEST concierge ever. He was extremely help, polite and attentive to the residents. The facilities and amenities were always clean and well maintained. The location is great too due to the proximity to the metro, grocery (Harris Teeter - 24 HOURS!!!) and target, etc. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Katherine was very helpful and friendly. She answered all my questions and made me feel like home.
Been here 4 months, and so far it’s been great! Staff is friendly, there’s assigned parking, dog park is great compared to others I’ve experienced. The train is really loud when it honks but after a few weeks you don’t notice it as much.
We have thoroughly enjoyed living in Aurora this last year, and are only moving out because we are moving out-of-state.The parking garage is very nice and secure, and has fans for when the weather is hotter. We have enjoyed not having to clean off our cars in the winter. The amenities are very nice, but we honestly didnt use them aside from the gym. The gym is pretty decent for an apartment gym, and Ive never had a problem with getting the machines I want to use when I go. Ive lived in previous apartments where the machines were in disrepair, but that has not been the case here. The maintenance staff is very prompt, and has always taken care of our work orders within 1-2 business days. They have also dealt with us locking ourselves out after hours and have been able to let us back in within 30 minutes. The staff is extraordinarily kind; they all remember our names and our apartment number whenever we need to talk to them or pick up packages (especially Jennifer, Helen and Vivian). These ladies are especially spectacular, although all the staff is very friendly and helpful. The price is on the higher side, but it is consistent with the area/this style luxury apartments. I do think you get what you pay for, as this apartment is within walking distance (5 minutes) of the White Flint Metro Station and the new Pike & Rose shopping area (10-15 minutes). It is also located relatively close to the major highways, and takes about 10-15 minutes to get on either 495 or 270. The noise is actually really good for apartment living; I rarely hear my neighbors and I almost never hear anything from my upstairs neighbors. The only time the noise is a bit of an issue is when the maintenance staff is doing repairs, but they do give you a notice when that is going to happen and it only happens during business hours. Overall, we have greatly enjoyed living in this apartment!Update: I read some of the other reviews about the train noise. The train is pretty loud (we live on the 3rd floor), but it doesnt bother us at all since were use to it. Obviously, if that bothers you, then you may not want to move here.
So far so good. We moved in about a month ago and, as far as the apartment, everything has been great. The staff are kind and attentive, management is excellent, and the building is really nice.Something to note is that the building is near some train track and the train noise is very much audible (even at 2am), but you really do get used to it.All in all, very satisfied so far!
The Apartments are beautiful. Janet and Chris made our lives easy. Isaac and Manny kept everything running smoothly! If we didnt have to leave for work we would have lived there for years. I am actually envious of you for getting to experience life at the Aurora.
Excellent staff and wonderful building with top class amenities! Some apartments may hear the noise from freight trains (one less star) but it didnt bother me. I moved out because of a relocation but I would consider moving back again.
Impossible to reach staff in the leasing office with any kind of questions or issues. One day I was placed on hold for 1 hour and 30 min without any further apologies later. Model apartment looks totally different from the actual apartment . Appliances are old and stained. Apartment is smelly . New floors were promised in my rental apartment, but instead carpet was installed in the bedroom and leaving room, which is much cheaper then the new floors. I would not recommend this building to others. NO WAY!!!!
Who said luxury apartment?! No, its not. Its been over 34hrs without electric power. Freezing house, no hot water, I had to throw all food in refrigerator away. I cant go to sleep because of next apartments generator noise!!! Train noise, too!!! Wait for just electic company? No generator in the expensive apartment??? Really??? Not recommend.
I was going to live here, but the leasing office failed to contact me back several times. I ended up signing a lease not too far away in the neighborhood, but disappointed as I liked the spot.
Impossible to get the information in the leasing office regarding of signing renewed lease. People dont have ANY idea how to answer a simple question. Is this building want to retain tenants or not? What a service!!!!
Prospective tenants Beware! - Aurora apartments is currently undergoing heavy remodeling construction of apartment units throughout the entire facility which entails horrible tremendous amount of very loud drilling, banging, grinding noise all day long. This is has been continuously occurring over the past year several days per week including holidays. It is most definitely excessive and extremely disruptive to enjoyable apartment living. Giving me a terrible headache forced listening to this incessant constant racket endlessly for hours. Numerous Complaints to the management go unanswered and no information is provided about the schedule or any plans to reduce the level or amount of noise . Loud power tools (sounds like a reciprocating saw or pneumatic drill).
This place is beautiful I can’t say enough nice things, the staff is very friendly .The building is so beautiful, amenities out of this world! I absolutely love it
The property is adjacent to MARC railway track on which trains are running 24/7. Plus, because there is a railroad crossing nearby, trains honk a loud horn exactly when they pass by the property. You will not notice this during your tour because leasing officers never tell you about this, but this horn will prevent you from sleeping every night.I also want to mention that managing company frequently remodels the common facilities; because of this, both of the lounges on the 2nd and 18th floor were closed for like 4 months during my 8 months lease period. Finally, leasing officers are not very responsive and their attitude is always like “there is no room for negotiation.” They never be flexible on any matters, including when to end the lease. They say 45 days prior notice to end the lease is not sufficient even though I only want to expire the lease on the initially-agreed lease end date.I can understand many people give this property low ratings here, despite the fact that apartment unit itself is not very bad.
Loved it, its a great place to live
Incredibly nice place
Lovely place to live!!!
