Complete waste of money. After using Tru Green I have more weeds than ever. Worthless treatments. Zero results, bad customer service.One star is to much.
I used weed remove service. I have no idea what they are spraying on the lawn because the treatments are useless. I feel like theres more weed than a year before. I didnt see any changes. I never saw them working. Even when I was at home, they just hang a receipt and left. I didnt get to see or ask what they do. The worst is the automatic renewal to new service that I didnt ask for, so make sure you cancel it manually on phone.
My lawn looks horrible after using them for a year. I called them out asking why and they put down more fertilizer and said lets see if this helps. Why would I have to call them why would the technician discuss the issue when he was here the week before. My lawn is turning LIME GREEN after using their services. Now on hold for 30 minutes to talk to someone. HORRIBLE

I have been paying TruGreen to treat my lawn for several years and unfortunately have never taken full action to stop what has been consistently ineffective treatment. They call before they come, they come on schedule, and they will provide a free treatment if the homeowner complains, but I have no idea what they are spraying on the lawn because the treatments are useless. Weeds are RAMPANT, and a multitude ofvarieties. Perhaps the company is saving money by diluting solution? Here are some photos from front, back, and side yards; these weeds are not isolated to one area, so its not a missed a spot issue... Finally I am going to cease service, and also hope to warn other homeowners who may be considering them to consider other providers.
The so called technician put down lime in the rain and stained my driveway. Lime should be put down when its dry so the technician can blow off walkways and driveways. thats what the previous company did. The same day another technician came down to treat shrubs and trees with some sort of oil that of course washed right off. I called them back and set up another appointment for them to do it again. Its funny that a customer has to tell them how to do their job.Called them and they send someone out and nobody took care of the problem so far.
Wish I would have invested in cameras around the property so I could expose this lackluster service they offer. Yesterday was one of many times that I caught the tech not doing the backyard, called the service support line and got the classic 3 hour wait time. They finally called me back and I explained what had happened only to be told that the tech will be notified to come back to finish the backyard. Long story short tech never came back then had a service today for 5,000 square feet and the tech didnt do the backyard again. 3 hour wait time to be called back again round 4 lets go get my money back!
DO NOT USE THEM!The technician named Dominic J. doesnt do his job and has a terrible attitude!I was outside on my back patio yesterday afternoon for several hours. I came inside to get a drink and I noticed the True Green truck out front. He was putting away the hose so I asked him if he was leaving. He said yes I just sprayed the front, sides and BACK yard. I said Really? because I have been in the back yard for 2 hours and I didnt see you. He clearly got mad and said he would do it again. He definitely didnt do it, my whole family was in the back yard playing! This is probably what they do every time when they think you arent home. This clearly explains why the weeds in my back yard have gotten worse since I hired Tru-green 3 months ago. I am calling to cancel my services today. I tried to call yesterday evening and the wait time to get someone on the phone was 3 HOURS! what a joke!Dont waste your money on this scam! Terrible company!
I wish its a away to give them a zero. This company killed my grass. Went from green grass to dead grass. And they made excuses about what happened.I wouldnt recommend
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYI used this company for about 6-7 months. Now I am fully aware that it takes applications some time to really start seeing results in your yard and I was fine with that, however, what I wasnt aware of was how this company consistently will try and get over on you if you are not constantly checking up on them...Multiple times I caught the tech either A. Not treating my backyard, or B. Not treating my front or back yard and just leaving a bill on my door. They must not have known that we have lawn cameras. Literally watched multiple technicians, not just one, step out of the truck, ring my doorbell, see that no one was home, go back to the truck, leave a receipt on my door.... After the second time of me having to call them to have someone come out, I cancelled my service with them. I highly recommend you do not use this company.
I signed up for Tru green services, my front yard is covered in weeds and I was told there was a three hour wait with customer service. Then it said they would call back and never did. I called to pretend like I was a new customer and got through right away. I guess once they get your money there is no need to have good customer service. I will be cancelling as soon as I can get through to them.
All I can say is you get what you pay for. We used fairway lawns before but they raised their price after the introductory rate so we switched since Tru green offered more services like air rating and shrub control for a better price. Today the technician came out and put out white granulated fertilizer which he didnt have the proffeionallizm to blow of our driveway and brick walkways. This stuff will leave stains. My grass in the backyard st Augustine looks really bad since I started using their service. Its dying. We have Zoya in the front and they use the same fertilizer, doesnt make sense.They did this before with lime which left a mess on my brick walkways. I would like them to refund our money so we can hire a professional firm to take care of our lawns. I will not sign up with true green again and I do not recommend this company.Update: cancelled my service with this incompetent company. They never contacted me about services that have not been done which I have paid for up front. My yard was never airrated. I asked for a full refund and I only was refunded only for services not provided. Do not sign up with true green.
Good service, on time, weather permitting, and I always address my concerns about turf issues.
First off, TruGreen and their automated service renewals need to end. But I went ahead with their lawn aeration service and over seed. The driver just showed up, push the machine around the front yard. No attempt to go into the back yard. No knock on the door. No phone call. I shouldnt have to call them and request them to come back to do their damn job. Do not use their services. I will never call them again.
Tree and shrub services very good. I had real issues with the lawn services.
I have been going round and round with Trugreen since the did an unauthorized aeration of my yard in June which cost me $400 to repair. Since then I told them no services unless I explicitly authorized it. So the next thing I know the do a service while Im gone. Dog gets out of back yard but is eventually caught...charged for the service...which I hope the did not do the back yard with my pets loose. Now for over 2 months they have been trying to bill me more that service which I was told on more than one occasions would be credited against the $400 I paid in repairs. Supposedly senior management has called me on different occasions to correct the problem, but amazingly no message is ever left. I called today in response to a call yrsterday regarding the charge that supposedly had been taken care of multiple times in the past. When I asked to speak to a senior manager about this the customer rep said I couldnt since they were all working from home and one would get a hold of me in the next 48 hours. Fat chance of that happening.Based on customer service, follow through I could not in good consciousness recommend them to anyone. Hopefully their near term actions will convince me otherwise, but right now I doubt it.
TruGreen was not professional with there service also very untruthful will pricing!! I was told is $29 to start my service and $68 every 6 to 8 weeks after for the front and back yard of my home. Notice my account was charged $98 and only the front t was done!! When I called about the charges I was told it was for a service that’s charged separate which was not I disclosed in the initial conversation when it was setup . When I explain this to the rep he was very rude and told me it’s nothing he can do about it!! After one visit I canceled!! Company do not keep or stand by there word!!!
Not a great experience. Results were not impressive. Failed to treat the back yard most of the time because we were never notified of the application and dogs were out in the yard. Most of the time my wife was home and could have put the dogs up if the tech had simply knocked. After terminating services, they sent us to collections for a $67 bill that we never received. Use a locally owned business!
Very dissatisfied with actual service we used them for over two years multiple call backs and retreatments to our yard and never got rid of the weeds. Decided to cancel and called and verbally cancelled at end of 2019. They sent out a message that they were sending a technician beginning of 2020. I called and cancelled the tech. The tech shows up at our home to apply treatment. I stopped him before treatment made. He calls there office and has me on speaker and lets them know I have cancelled treatments. They tell him that they owe us a treatment for lime coverage from 2019 and to go ahead and apply there will be no charge. Two weeks later I get a bill for $105. I call the corporate number to tell them to remove charge I have cancelled service. They say they have no record of cancelled service and that the application of treatment was made. I refused to pay after giving explanation and they noted they will remove the service call and credit my account as well as get the service cancelled. I agreed and thanked them. Two weeks later I get the same bill again. I again call back and the customer service person tells me they have no record of cancellation or credit of the bill. Once again she credits my account and says everything is taken care of. I asked for written verification. 1 week later Ive received nothing so I call back. She says my service still has not been cancelled. I ask to talk to supervisor. Go through same story and she says 100% cancelled and I will put in credit on your account. Two weeks later receive another bill this time when I call they verify it has been cancelled but nothing about the bill. So today I speak with rep they will not wave the fee but will give me 50% discount. I pay them the $52 just to be done with it. For some reason I have a feeling I will still get a bill for the other $52 claiming no agreement. So BEWARE all customers and future customers get your cancellation in writing after the treatments that do dont work and you cancel. Horrible experience. THEY WILL NOT CANCEL YOU OR DO WHAT THEY SAY. GET EVERYTHING THEY AGREE TO IN WRITING. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY ON THE PHONE.
After about 12 calls of using this service for 17 years and experiencing more weeds than ever I was put in touch with district rep who sent someone out that treats the lawn poorly and was told it was fine. I have a weed named chamberbitter and I am working on treating myself and looking for another lawn care company
I called to receive a quote. A man answered the phone and started giving me a quote. But he started at 63, then 50. I told him I needed to go over things with my husband and he said well nevermind . I felt like that was very unprofessional. So I will not be using Tru green.
Dustin the salesman was great and seemed very knowledgeable. However, I was promised many things by him as he was the new guy in charge of the area and he was improving True Green. So far I have recieved 1 lawn application and no other services as promised. When talking with the customer service representative, she sounded so depressed as if she wanted to kill herself. They tried refunding only a partial payment, dont let them, even the company will tell you that it takes multiple treatments to start working. My yard looked best when I was applying Bayer Advanced 3-in-1 for southern lawns applied only twice a year. It is a little less pricey than True Green. BUYER BEWARE.

Im done with this company. First, I paid in advance to get a discount, which was my first mistake. Second, my yard looks worse than it did before they started and I have new weeds that Ive never had. Finally, Today the driver decided to plow over my trash can and broke the wheels off and left rash all in my yard. When i questioned him he stated that i need to call the trash company. If I could give zero stars I would.
My yard was looking terrible due to an overabundance of weeds and stickers. Now it it once again weed and sticker free. It is also thick and green. I love walking barefoot in the grass and I am able to do that now. Thank you TruGreen!
Time and time again, its disappointment, frustration, and frankly poor service.lets break this down..Value: not worth what you get...the amount you pay, is expected for a top quality company with great customer service and you get par at best service for lawn and their reps over the phone defend the company suggesting its actually the customers fault. Also their packages are outrageously expensive for additional treatments.Quality: Its a canned treatment for your lawn as in, they treat all lawns the same, to include the service schedule . I have seen for my little less than 2 years with them, come out and fertilize weeds for the season...when in fact their treatment should have had a weed treatment. they wont come out for another 3 months after that...even after i call to get them out...they schedule and then cancel; its happened multiple times. The actual treatment never happens until their next scheduled treatment.they also have problems where their servicemen actually ghost treat..as in they say they come and take care of your lawn, log it and insert an excuse for non-treatment, and dont conduct the service. what do i get in return? sorry that happened sir...by the way you still owe us for all the treatments that never happened...i argued that one and got no where.Punctuality: as mentioned before they have canceled multiple times for additional treatments and leave the lawn hanging in despair until their next quarterly treatment.Responsiveness: this is actually one thing i will say they are decent with... they will call back you constantly only to try and get additional services added to your account...aka get more money from you...their sales reps call twice a week since last time i can remember. When a service is canceled they will call, then wont reschedule the service with you...its just a courtesy call to say they aint comin and hang up.professionalism: as mentioned before, sales reps hounding you for more money, customer service reps arguing with you insinuating the customer is at fault for not alerting them for their poor quality (which was why i was calling..), actual Ghosting of treatments and still expect you to pay...multiple canceled no follow up service calls....maybe its the Augusta GA location, but this company has failed me on all levels, and i wouldnt be surprised if they have done it to more people in my area, if they realized...
In my opinion, the worst company to ever deal with. No results, overcharge, lie about their service and then threaten the customer with collections when overcharged. In my opinion you should stay away from this company. I dont write bad reviews publicly unless its egregious and I want to warn potential clients.
I have complained to several technicians who’ve come to service our yard due to continuing problems with many weeds in our yard & our grass looking very bad. I finally called to get someone other than a technician to come out & look at our yard to see for themselves & suggest a solution. I received a text a couple of days later saying a technician was coming to give us a free application between 11am & 4 pm. I waited at home all day until 5:30 when a text came saying our service had been completed. I called the local office immediately telling them no one had shown-no tag in the yard, no usual paperwork, no signs of any service at all. Customer service told me that our tech would call me that afternoon; he never did. I called again the next day, and I was told a service manager would call me. After 2 hours, I called again & was told they would hasten a response to my concern. Again, no contact from them. The next day we cancelled service!They have failed to service our lawn properly; have not responded to concerns; and failed to honor a free service offered to us by their salesman. I would never recommend TruGreen.
TruGreen lawn service is really outstanding. The products they apply on my lawn really works. They provide customer satisfaction. If a problem occur just a phone is all needed and they will return within 48 hours to correct the problem with no questions asked. The technicians are always pleasant and polite.
Our specialist, Mary Moody, is always friendly and conscientious. She has been treating our trees/shrubs for quite a while now and it is nice to feel like we have a friend looking out for our needs. She always stops to talk with us and answer our questions.
Timeline, perfect. Specialist, very friendly. I believe the job was done well. He did indicate he only did grub control due to the timing. I was hoping for weed and fertilizer, but trust your knowledge with regards to what we need and when. I feel the price is very reasonable and our yard looks very nice. I have called with questions, and everyone has been very helpful. Our yard is looking not quite as green as I would like, but...it is dry. We need rain!!! My husband and I are very happy with your service. We have tried to keep our yard looking good on our own. That did not work. Trugreen has fixed it.
If i could leave zero stars i would! They charged me for a 130 dollar aeration that they didnt even do and then when i got the bill and called about it they said it had been too long to verify. This company is nothing short of criminal!
Worthless. They would announce a visit via their app, then not show, but have no trouble charging. Grass looked worse than if I had done nothing. Complained about the consistent no shows and was promised a refund. That never happened! Integrity is not in their business model. Find anyone else.
We had a evergreen at the front entrance of our home that was in poor condition due to infestation. In a matter of three months, the evergreen is green, growing and healthy. Thanks to the monthly treatment of our trees and bushes by TruGreen, we now have beautiful evergreens. Our lawn treatment by TruGreen also does a great job in keeping our lawn green and healthy. Thank you TruGreen for your excellent service each month
A TruGreen person came to our house in the Aiken area and sprayed our yard with some kind of chemical. We have never ordered anything from a yard service, so I guess it was trespassing. We dont know what it was, or whether they sprayed it in our strawberry patch, or whether our kids and dog can go in the yard. They have not responded to the website contact, but they left a nice sign saying not to go in the grass until it was dry. I tried calling the phone number and got a TruGreen in Indiana.
Highway Robbery!!!! 3 months of survives and a have more weeds that when I first called them. My god in heaven.
TRUGREEN employee was courteous and very pleasant. Knocked on our door and introduced himself and explained what he would be doing to our lawn. I actually watched while he was performing his work. He was very efficient and seemed concerned with what he was doing. I was very pleased.

Terrible service by True Greed!! Came and sprayed for Mosquitoes and I never had a phone call asking if I would like that service. Tried to charge me for the service. Do not be ripped off. Scott’s was much better.
I paid for and gave the North Augusta TruGreen the opportunity to kill the weeds in my yard. I was assured that they had just the thing for the weeds that I specified. I even pointed out a patch of great grass that I was trying to get to spread. A year later the weeds are exponentially worse and there’s a chemical burn in the patch of good grass that I absolutely did not create! You can draw your own conclusions about that but the weeds are nearly out of control. I’ll do a better job than they in the coming year and I won’t charge myself to do it.I’ve asked repeatedly for a supervisor, preferably the one that came initially, to come and explain my yard to me. I’ve heard nothing. They’ve since been banned from the property.
Specialist # 1706, Ross Stanley, has been helping provide excellent customer service to my account and lawn for over 7 years now. He does a thorough, superb job at controlling weeds, treating the turf with tender-loving care, and providing advice & tips that help me throughout the year. I personally do NOT have a green thumb, so Im glad that he & Trugreen do, thanks!
I will never use falsegreen, they promised me that my lawn will be much better than what I had within a year, instead it got worst and no improvements at all. I do not recommend anyone to use them.
Absolutely the worst company I have ever experienced as a homeowner. Not only did the company kill my grass but it was 3 to 4 weeks later to get them to attempt to fix the problem. They aerated patchy areas and threw some seed down after killing my grass.
Return in the event of dissatisfaction (even though no fault of your own).Even tough I added sod (additional square footage), you did not increase price. However, I do invite you at any time to come by, re-measure, and adjust your pricing as appropriate.Oh yeah, and the lawn looks great!
These guys came and sprayed my lawn by mistake with their harmful pesctides. I called to complain as I have dogs who were exposed to these chemicals. The manager told me, “If it’s a child, be cautious and don’t let them play on the yard for a day; if it’s a dog, don’t worry about it.” This is so wrong as if the safety and health of a dog isn’t as important as that of a child.The representative pushed me off the phone and then hung up. Evidently the bottom line is more important as well.
Had to have retreats for weeds. Tech came out, treated (maybe), left no paperwork. Weeds unchanged. Called them, said treat for weeds next visit, paper no mention of weed killers applied. Another time, Emailed them, got reference number, no call. Called 3 days later, they didnt have my email to reference. Had appointment for a visit, didnt show that day or next, no phone call. I called, something about a schedule thing, have to set up. LIke What. Cancelled my service.
I feel scammed by this company, serious they are horrible, i used them for 3 years and my lawn looked worst every week, got a new company now and guess what... i am happy and not getting scammed anymore, they will also bother u for the rest of your life with fake calls saying u are still with them, the scam never ends with the fockers
Being a very busy person that truly appreciates curb appeal, I knew I needed help. Trugreen does not take a generic approach but looks at each lawn individually. Applications are made to fit the needs of my lawn and applied when needed without my having to schedule it. The specialist leaves extensive notes in laymans terms with suggestions for me to follow through. My lawn is gorgeous and if I have any questions or concerns The specialist is there or a quick phone call away.

We hired Truegreen to take care of a problem in our front yard. I made multiple attempts to get them to fix our problems and did everything they asked me to do. Water and even hired a professional to cut and bag our grass. After a couple of years and no results, we switched to another company. I feel I could of gotten the same results with a bag of weed and feed.
Had true green two years and lawn never looked worse. Went with a differnet company last year. Decided to try true green one more time. They came out and agreed to take soil samples - havent heard from their rep again. Instead, I get repeated calls from call center. I try to call and goes straight to call center. Tries calling corporate office and the same thing happens.
I was not present during the application. However, he left a detail report which I found very useful. Recommend service!
Whatever theyre doing, theyre doing it right. Every time I drive up the road to my house, I notice how great and green my lawn looks. We have been very pleased with the results we get from TruGreen. The service men are always professional and do a good job.
Missed 2 applications and still have 4 more months on my contract. I Do Not Recommend.
TruGreen is always quick and efficient when they come. We do not need to be concerned about what chemical goes on the lawn next. Nor do we need to go purchase and load into our SUV from a Big Box store. They may not have we need anyway so we going looking which takes time and money. TruGreen knows when to come and what goes on the lawn next. It saves us from all the hassle of lawn care.
Trugreen staff is thorough and take pride in their work.. Obviously they are aware of our landscape needs.. Our lawn, trees and shrubs look healthy and are an asset to our house.. Lots of compliments.
If I could give 0 stars I would. TruGreen charged us for applications they never even administered to our lawn. We had to have them come back to redo the back yard numerous times and it still looks horrible. We are going with a different company and have canceled service with TruGreen. Just horrible service all around.
TruGreen has severely damaged my lawn twice in the last two months. The first time they applied a chemical that caused numerous brown spots on the front lawn. After speaking to the manager and being totally disappointed with his response,I cancelled my service. I received three telephone calls from TruGreen requesting to come back and resume my service. I refused and informed them I was seeking service from another lawn company. They came out anyway without my permission and applied something they said was fertilizer on the grass in my front and back yard. I called to inquire and they said the service was free and their attempt to win me back as a customer. Two days later, the same burn spots appeared but this time it is worse. I have called the manager,Mr McDonald,three times and he still had not responded to my messages. Now I have to have an evaluation of the damage and possibly have a new lawn installed. Please do not use this company if you value your lawn. They are also not responsive to their customers. My neighbors cancelled their service for the same reasons.

The specialists are always on point about what the lawn needed and how they will make it green and healthy. Our down side is that we are on a fixed income and were thinking about discontinuing the services. Other than that, the techs/specialists are truly the lawn saviors. Thank you Tru-Green.
True Green brought yard to LIFE. So very healthy & pretty dark green grass. I will continue to let True Green sprinkle their magic on my yard.
I hired Trugreen to aerate my lawn front, sides and back bi-directionally. Their price was higher than the competition but because I used them for chemical treatments on my lawn I agreed to pay a premium rate and keep my business with them. Not only were they higher priced they only aerated in one direction. When I questioned the Technician about going the other direction he told me, no we only go one direction. I explained that I was told you all do bi-directional aeration. He smiled and chuckled then said they use that as a sales hook technique. If we go two directions we have to charge you again. After fighting with the customer service they agreed to come back out and aerate the opposite direction. The technician they sent out to correct the error didnt arrive with the correct equipment to complete the job. I was told I would have another Technician come by the next day to complete the job. Nobody showed up. I once again called Customer Service to which I was told I was lied to a second time. They assures me someone would be out between 0800 and 1200 the following Monday to finish. At 4:00pm still no TruGreen. I called again and was told the Technician was behind on his jobs and that they would have him call me that night before end of business. Another lie, no phone call. I called the Customer Service AGAIN to which they said they would have to reschedule me for another day. The day of reschedule the same Technician showed up with the wrong equipment AGAIN. I was I formed they could not complete my service because it was a safety violation for them to use a ride-on aerator from curb to house. This after they did exactly that on both the sides of my house the first time. It was not convenient for them. So he left. I called and canceled all services with them and today, a week later, another technician shows up to complete my lawn with the ride-on since I guess this week it isnt a safety violation. I told the young man that I fired you all last week. He just chuckled and said ok, then left. I dont recommend doing business with Trugreen North Augusta, SC. They dont live up to their sales pitch or your expectations.
A week ago, I scheduled the follow-up service. When I scheduled the service, I left the memo to representative to schedule me first thing in the morning. So Truegreen scheduled me a service between 7:00am to 12:00pm.What happened on that day was really frustrating experience. Even though I didn’t have to wait the specialist, I waited until 12:00pm. I wanted to talk to the specialist in person because I wasn’t satisfied with last service (that’s why I requested the follow-up service) and something to ask about my yard. The specialist didn’t show up until 12:00pm. So, I called the Truegreen, more than 5 times. Every time I call, the answer was the same. They will text and leave the memo to the specialist to call me. What really didn’t make sense was that they can’t even locate where the specialist is or contact them. All they can do is leaving the memo to specialist. I made a first call on 12:00pm, and called 4 times more after that and left the memo. Even when I made a call around 5:00pm, the answer was the same. It is still on the schedule and the specialist will visit soon. Guess what? I never received the callback, and service was automatically canceled around 8:00pm. Now the app asks me to call again to make the appointment. I understand that the service can be delayed or even postponed. However, shouldn’t the specialist have at least the courtesy to call me when I left the memo several times? Im really disappointed the experience that I had.
After years of great service with Scott’s and inheriting Trugreen the time has come to find a better service, my yard has never looked so bad, they do a terrible job, my yard is over run with poa Anna and weeds. I have never had problems like this when I was with Scott’s. I pay a premium price for horrible results.***update. I hired fairway lawns and couldn’t be happier, my yard has never looked better! They came out and got everything under control.

Do not waste your money with Trugreen. They initially killed our front yard, they fixed that issue and made us happy, after they tried to blame my lawn mower. Our yard looked great after some fussing with them. Once I got to my “winter” service with them, we noticed that they just were not doing their jobs. My neighbor told me that on two separate occasions when they came to do my service, the man never got out of his truck, he slept for about 2 hours. But they still took my $155 each time. DO NOT give Trugreen your money.
Terrible. The service was spotty at best and I often watched them only service one part of my lawn. I cancelled them and they call me almost monthly even though they have acknowledged that I am on their do not call list. I had one of their technicians call to schedule my regular service even though I cancelled them a year ago. How dishonest! Stay as far away from this company as you can. I bought weed and feed from Home Depot and had a much healthier lawn than they ever provided for a fraction of the cost.
We are very pleased with our service and receive many positive comments about how nice our yard looks. We no started service for our daughters lawn as well!
I am never here when the service is done on our lawn, but really appreciate the detailed notes left for me to know what has taken place. While I dont notice any results right away, I have used Trugreen for less than a year and my lawn is 100%+ better than it was a year ago!
Someone was suppose to show between 2-5 and they never showed up. I called several times and was told that it could be 8 or later and If they couldnt do it today then they could reschedule. Very disappointed with them! This was our first time with them too. I told them to forget about it and cancelled our service. Mind you they call at least twice a week wanting us to give them a try and customer service wasnt very helpful. Go with a different company.
I returned the automated phone call and asked what time frame will the TRUGREEN Specialist be coming to be at my house. The person could not tell me if the specialists was going to come in the morning or afternoon. I did not want a two hour frame, but she could not tell me morning or afternoon. She said the specialist had twenty some stops and could not tell me.This is one of the most unintelligent things I have heard in a long time. All she could do is make a note to have the specialist call me in the morning. My wife is in a nursing home ( I like to visit her in the morning and afternoon) and I have a dog that does not like to stay in the house all day. She did not offer to give me the local number to try to help me.The only help she could give me is to make a note to the specialist call me in the morning.Fortunately I met the specialist coming to my house (there was no note on the order). He was the nicest person and said he would never treat my lawn if my dog was out. He has gone out of his way in the past to treat a couple problem areas in my lawn.You might have lost a customer, because of the operator that I talked too. But the wonderful specialist will always keep me as a customer.Lost a star because the Operators you call for help can not help you, but your specialists are great.

TrueGreen took over Scotts in the area and after 3 visits and bills coming in with no or only partial application work actually being completed we gave up after several great years with Scotts. So glad we have surveillance on the property. The national team seemed on point, but locally the merger was a mess. We are now with Fairway and the crews are very thorough and have great rates.
This company causes accidents all over the city.( I know 2) personally. They allow their trucks to park on the side of the road and put a cone in the middle of the lane on a busy 2 lane road. They are going to get one of there employees killed, our someone passing by one of their trucks killed.. Too lazy to pull in driveway are get out of the way. See it daily driving around aiken. Would never hire company for this reason...

Trugreen insists on billing me for services provided to the property after it was sold to someone else. They said it was too late to dispute the charge. What? I asked if they wanted to litigate the matter and they said no, they will just continue to send bills to the end of time. I asked if this would be sent to collections or if it would affect my credit score. No answer, just, You waited too late to cancel. Sounds reasonable. I will never use them again ANYWHERE. Stay away from this company!!
I am currently waiting to see how the transition from Scotts to True Green will develop. I was pleased with my recent discussion with the technician that treated my lawn.
After supposedly applying pre-emergent I have never had such problems with weeds. I have a variety of weeds all throughout my lawn. I was thinking about volunteering my lawn to UGAs Lawn and Turf program as an educational site on weeds! It looked so good when Scotts performed the lawn service, but they are history and TruGreen is fired. I will do it myself, thank you! At least I can only blame me, but I know the right thing is being done...
Trugreen Customers are great!! Unfortunately the complaints from customers are true and yards dont seem to improve from General manager Jim McDonald inappropriate behavior with employees and by not bumping up chemicals. I believe he needs to be reprimanded from the company. Its my believe TruGreen will have customers believe again in there products!! And succeed!! At the moment I do not recommend Trugreen In North Augusta due to the General Manager Jim McDonald. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
I signed up with Trugreen two years ago. they sent someone. This person came to our house and ten minutes later left leaving a note on our door that he couldnt get to our yard with aerator because we parked vehicles on our driveway while we were inside the house and he could hear people talking but it was too hard for him to knock. they charged us for the service($160). After three months of NO VISIBLE change on our lawn for lawn maintenance while we paid for every service that produced NO CHANGE to our lawn, we decided to cancel remaining months of our contract with Trugreen. Last year for the first time( I SWEAR IN THE NAME OF GOD ALMIGHTY), my whole lawn was overwhelmed by weeds of all kind for the first time EVER. I have been treating it with chemicals that I got at Walmart and have noticed significant changes now. The most annoying part is this guys still have the gut to be sending me mails and making constant phone calls for us to be back. Yall need to get yourselves another day job and stop calling people if they cancelled. it is because they are not satisfied with your service
Renew contract without consulting. Dont always apply as should....had to have them come back out.
I have had trugreen lawn service for many years. My lawn has thickened & weeds have decreased. 0ver all appearance is good. Technician is friendly. Customer service has too long wait time to reach a representative. Representatives do not seem knowledgeable about services or lawn care. When additional service is requested they do schedule it.
Have yearly service. Add appropriate water for desired results.
3 months of work and the weeds took over our lawn. We paid Over$500 and the lawn looks horrible and also ants bite us when we sit on our front porch. Nothing but empty promises. Never go with these people.
I have already reviewed my last service-I did it the date of the service. It was great as always.
A few weeks ago, Armand from TruGreen serviced my lawn. Unlike the last specialist who simply showed up, left the bill on the door, and left, Armand took time to knock on the door and introduce himself. He explained the services that we was going to perform in detail, and explained he was going to treat the few weeds sprouting, even before I mentioned them.He also offered to look at my sprinkler system schedule and recommended changes that would provide the best watering tailored to the local weather, season, and climate.After answering a few other questions I had in detail, he completed his work, knocked on the door when he was done, handed me the bill, and asked if there were any other questions i had.By far, he provided the best lawn care service I have received to date, from any service. I was looking at alternative care based on previous TruGreen specialists, but as long as Armand is around, I will certainly keep with TruGreen.

Like many other customers who have posted negative reviews I too inhertited TruGreen after they bought out Scotts LawnCare. I was completely happy with Scotts services and how my lawn looked. However since TruGreen took over I have noticed more weeds popping up. I dont understand whats so difficult about keeping a good healthy lawn weed free but TruGreen fails in this department. THEY HAVE ONE JOB TO DO. Because they cant do it well I will be cancelling my service with them and switching to someone else.
I originally started out using Scotts Lawn Care but inherited TruGreen after they merged. Their services are like night and day! I have never seen so many weeds in my life! It seemed like the more TruGreen serviced my lawn the thicker the weeds spreaded. And forget calling customer service, its like calling a call-center full of bodies! No one seemed to have much knowledge of their services other than when the tech was scheduled to come out.
I’m not even a customer of Trugreen but, today I guess they decided I was. I treat my yard myself and applied fertilizer over the weekend. I come home today ( a Tuesday) to find Trugreen treating my yard instead of my neighbors.... with fertilizer. what happens when you over fertilize you ask? It kills your grass.... now we wait to see if they will take responsibility for killing my grass and if they are even going to come back and actually do my neighbors yard or just charge them for killing mine .

TruGreen has been the best money I have spent on my lawn. Not only is it healthy and great looking, but due to the lack of weeds, I dont have to cut it weekly.

My parents have been using Trugreen as their lawn treatment provider for years to no avail. The yard looks exactly the same and still has brown spots and weeds even if it is watered every night. They have used this company for almost 4 years now and it hasn’t made a difference and sometimes I never see the lawncare guy out there doing anything. Highly disappointed.
I got more weeds now than when they first came last year.... geez they are horrible!!! Run run fast away from them!
Lawn Specialist... Frequent discussions with the lawn specialist, he is very knowledgeable and always willing to take the time to explain and report what he sees happening with out lawn....
Dont waste your time with them them they will rip you off.
Had Scotts for years and they kept the weeds between mine and my neighbors fence line at under control. Ever since true Green has taken over no one has sprayed for weeds between the fence line. The weeds are taller than me now. For that much weed growth they would have had to of been neglecting that area for months. Ive been promised a manager call for 2 months now, still nothing. Very unprofessional, and dishonest company. Dont give these people your money, youre better off doing it yourself. Disgusting business practices, theyll never get another dime out of me that includes my remaining account balance.
