Very Cozy and comfortable place in spot it being a shelter. There is never a problem with food and the house is very secure and safe for both families and individuals. They also allowed me to have my service dog which was a huge plus for me and was greatly appreciated. Thank you Kathy and the staff at the Louison House for everything.
This place has the worst people on staff. Many of the people working there are either rude or play favorites with the residents, making it not feel like the helpful place it should be. People that are put in a rough patch in their lives are treated like prisoners and addicts instead of people that need help. Residents are not trusted with their own money, food stamps are rarely spent on food and half the food in the pantry has insects in it.I have a friend who has experienced the Louison House. She is someone with anxeity problems and staff did nothing but harrass her, causing several panic attacks that they only punished her for. DCF has been called to take children away all due to the staff overreacting to a comment or even a rash on a child. Please, do not come here with your family, or even single. It does more harm than good
They do everything they can to help.
The staff that work here are a rude bunch of women
