Love this salon! Ive been going here for years and always have a great experience. Hillary does an awesome job and is super friendly!
This place rocks! Its never just a haircut, it is hair sculpting and the crew there will make you feel more than comfortable. Ask them what they think and youll get Top Professional Advice... Very, very reasonable prices for a Professional Salon!
The only place I get my hair done. Everyone there is so friendly. Love them.
This was my go to place to get a hair cut and styled up until my last visit. I went in to schedule an appointment to get my hair dyed and cut, and received a snotty lecture about how I pretty much couldnt do anything with my hair. They couldnt dye it back to how it was, which is fine, but when I suggested another color, I received a lecture on how it wouldnt come out the way it should, what Ill need for special shampoos, and how my hair couldnt handle it. A simple no, we cant do that would have sufficed. It was the attitude and professionalism that was not ok. A snotty, and passive aggressive manner is not how any customer should be treated. Its not the same service as it used to be and I dont recommend this to anyone anymore
Just went out with my mother for an impromptu hair cut for her, and we were blown away by the entire staff! Friendly atmosphere, affordable prices, and great hairstylists! Thanks to Leah from Ann Marie!
Love this place. Ive never had someone consistently give me a good haircut until Liz. Not only does she do an excellent job, shes super nice and I always enjoy going to the shop. Great local business Im happy to support.
Great place, great service, very friendly and you get what you pay for. Love Liz ❤️
Very expensive and my stylist had zero personality but I did get a nice hair cut
They got me an appointment quick and were right on time. Dawn listened to what I wanted and gave me a great cut.
Relaxing atmosphere/ they get to know their customers
I have been coming here to get my hair done for a few years now, and have never come away not happy with my hair. Kim, and her girls are wonderful! Just as an fyi they are a cash only hair salon. Highly recommend them.
My granddaughter and I both got our hair trimmed. Great cuts for both of us.
Called to make an appointment for my daughter, no answer; left voicemails with no callbacks. Not sure on how they are with cutting hair as we couldnt even get somebody to answer the phone or call back.
Came here once. I will never ever go back. I live a 2 minute drive from here and insist on traveling 30-40 minutes to the mall to get my hair cut. This place is genuinely terrible. The hair dresser didn’t even smile for goodness sake. She washed cut and blow dried my hair. She cut it way to short! I even told her if it gets any shorter I’m going to freak out. I had hair down passed my waste. I told her to cut it below the shoulders. I walked out of there with hair above my shoulder. When I went to pay they told me they only accept cash. It’s 2018. How do you not have a card machine? And there were no signs anywhere nor did she tell me over the phone when I told her I was new to the area that they were cash only. While sitting in her chair for literally 45 minutes she didn’t talk to me at all. She shouted over to the other employees as they all gossiped about other coworkers and customers that go to the shop. I left there 100% disappointed.
Great place. Clean. Amazing haircut
I have never been here. What I can say is they care very little about their customers. I had a party of 3 for 10 am. The bill would have been well over 300 dollars, calling to confirm their location, a girl, with zero apologies informs me that they need to RESCHEDULE us became the girl that made the appointments (LAST NIGHT) no longer worked there. Had I not called, we would have found out when we arrived?! No way, never again will I even attempt to go here.
Great atmosphere, customer satisfaction, love the cut😁
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The people here are very incompetent. I scheduled an appointment for the day before my prom, and I specifically said I wanted a full head die, just to walk in for them to deny my entry and say I scheduled a cut when I did not. The lady was very rude to me the whole time and told me she didnt have time to do my hair, when there were about five other women sitting around doing absolutely nothing. And even if I did schedule a hair cut and not a full head, the door says walk-ins allowed. So I do not recommend to come here, but I do recommend this business to listen better on the phone, and also take the walk-in sign off the window.
Came in today with 18 inches of hair asking for a long layered haircut and got 5 and a half inches removed because not only did the women mess it up once but she messed it up again. Left there with a uneven length and about an inch of choppy hair. Not long layers. I’m really upset rate this 0% successful
Ive been going to Shear Madness for years now for both my hair and nails. I have yet to have a bad experience. Ive read these other reviews. To the person who claims no signs regarding cash only, the signs are literally everywhere in the shop. When Im sitting there, Ive seen plenty of walk ins taken. As far as turning you away from the mirror, that is how this shop does it, if you didnt like it, probably should have said that while you were sitting there. I love the lively banter, I have a lot of fun when Im there. Thanks ladies for always taking good care of me!
Love getting my hair cut here. Staff is friendly. Its like coming home to see family. Girls are very knowledgeable and up to date with current trends A+
This salon is full of very dynamic, and awesome hair and nail stylists. My only wish is that we could service more people every day. Sometimes we have to turn walk-ins away do to the fact that we have all been so busy.
Going to Shear Madness was honestly the worst hair cut experience of my life. Im sure the stylists are better with womens hair, but they have no idea what theyre doing when cutting a mans hair. My bangs are crooked, the top of my hair is choppy, and the sides arent blended at all. To top it all off, when she was waxing my eyebrows she ripped skin off of my face which ended up scabbing up today, not to mention missed multiple pieces of hair that I had to remove myself after paying to get them professionally done. Shear Madness, if youre going to offer these services, make sure youre hiring employees that know what theyre doing so people arent waisting good money on horrible service.
Let me start this by saying I am not hard to please and never usually write sour reviews - but this place sincerely deserves it. This was probably the WORST experience I have ever had at not only a hair salon, but any place of business, EVER.Since Im getting married in Adams but live in Boston area, I was very careful to pick a place for a hair trial that had good reviews so that I didnt have to make another 2 hour drive to a different hair salon if I didnt like how they did my hair. Needless to say I will have to do that now. Not only was the girl 10 minutes late for my appointment, which I had made 2 weeks in advance, but not a word of apology was spoken by her or the extremely rude receptionist. This was nothing compared to what happened next. I showed the hairdresser, Liz, 4 pictures of what I wanted done. A loose chignon with curls. So easy I could do it myself, but my mother and cousin wanted to get their hair done too, so I figured what the hell.Liz looked at the pictures and said Very beautiful and immediately started doing my hair WITHOUT a consultation. She didnt explain what she would do to achieve the look, instead she proceeded to TURN ME AWAY FROM THE MIRROR FOR THE ENTIRE TIME SHE DID MY HAIR so that for an hour I stared into space while she YELLED IN MY EAR to talk to her fellow workers about what was happening out the window. I genuinely think because it was nice out she turned me towards the window so that SHE could see what was happening outside, instead of looking at what she was actually doing in the mirror!! Not to mention her conversations with her friends was loud, inappropriate, and unprofessional - making fun of people on the street, etc, while barely talking to me.No surprise, when she finally turned me around and I saw what she had done for the first time, I hated it. It was nothing like I showed her. The chignon was tight, the hair around it was tight, and I looked horrible. I said I didnt like it and she was shocked. I said well, I wanted it loose like the picture to which she replied Oh, you wanted it loose? Are you kidding me!? Yes, there were two stipulations, 1. Loose 2. Chignon. She then asked to see the picture again, AND THEN said she would ask someone how to do it. WOW. This girl had no idea what she was doing, so she just winged it and hoped it would work out. When she came back she did it all over again, and of course, it looked no better. Nothing like the picture. I feigned satisfaction just so I could get the hell out of there. Now, the icing on the cake is that, of course, had to pay for her shoddy job. The receptionist had the decency to look up from her stupid phone and serve me. When I told her I didnt want my hair done here, and that I didnt want to pay the 25 dollars, she responded by rolling her eyes and screaming MOM! across the salon. Okay, now I get it. The mom business owner comes over, says I have to pay, and so I say screw it and pay. This place needs an adjustment. And honestly, I think Liz, the girl who did my hair is probably a nice person, but she has no idea what shes doing when it comes to styling hair. Maybe the other girls are good, but hey, thats not my problem. I now have to frantically search for another place to do my hair for my wedding. All I can say is that I hope Shear Madness reads this because they need a good look in the mirror (Pun intended! Customers should always face the mirror, people!)
I dont even want to give it a star. I am very disappointed . For a salon that advertises walk ins welcome, it is not true in my case. 10 times I have walked in, at different days and times. Tried to get simple hair cut or manicures. There were staff clearly sitting around, talking. Didnt look busy at all. Not once was I given service. Why advertise for walk ins when you clearly dont take them????
I love Liz. She cuts my hair the way Iike
Women are actually very nice here. They do walk in if they not slammed.
Was able to get a walk in appointment
Awesome stylists and I have been going here for years!
Convenient location, easy scheduling, reasonable prices, friendly folks, and a great haircut. Totally satisfied my stylist found the right haircut for me the first time even though my hair is tricky with many cowlicks.
It all depends on who you see at this salon. Ive had a certain stylist do a very good job with my hair and nails but then when I went back to get my hair done again I had a different stylist and she didnt listen to what I told her to do.
I wouldnt go anywhere else for my color and cut!
Great atmosphere and amazing staff
Ive always had great haircuts there and people very friendly, but you cant please everybody so I read lol. Always got served when I walked in with no appointment too
Awesome place to have your hair done!
A great place to get a haircut and good people staffing it!
Third time this week they have denied me as a walk-in as I have seen at least three or four employees just sitting and chatting. I just need a buzz cut. It will take five minutes. Take the sign off of your window that says walk-ins welcome.
Sweet.
WORST HAIR COLORING EVER. WILL NEVER RETURN.
Not all hair stylists can cut hair properly
People are pleant prices are fear
