Im a local delivery driver and I got a flat tire during work the previous night. Despite being very busy, these guys got my flat changed out and got me an oil change within an hour of dropping my car off, so I wouldnt have to miss any more work. Other garages in the area arent able to take care of me on the same day as consistently as Monro. Much appreciated!

Top notch customer service! Peter and Doug are great. I brought my car in for an oil change on my lunch break, and they were done in less than 45 minutes. They even offered me lunch while I waited! I will definitely be going back to Monro in the future. I loved that they took care of what I needed without trying to sell me things I did not need or want for my vehicle - which is an experience Ive had at other auto service centers in the past. I was about to head from North Adams, Massachusetts back to Philadelphia when my car battery unexpectedly died and all the service lights came on in my 2007 Honda Element. A kind stranger helped me jump the car to get it going as I nervously looked for any garage that could take me in the area. I tried calling about 8 different garages but each one said they couldnt take any walk-ins. Though Doug at Monro said he really couldnt accommodate any last minute walk-ins, he said if I was willing to wait, he could try to help me out. Traveling alone and very far from home I was a ball of nerves, hoping I had brought the car to a garage that wouldnt take advantage of my situation. Much to my surprise, after a short wait, I saw my car had been moved and was being looked at. They ran a battery test and checked the oil and confirmed I was safe to drive for a long distance run. My day pivoted about 1000%. I cant thank this garage enough for helping me out in this way- I know they had a lot going on before I arrived. I was able to make it home without any further issues with the peace of mind that everything was ok to go. I recommend this garage for all five stars. They are hard working people who are honest and thorough. THANK YOU!!

I know nothing about cars so finding someone honest and trustworthy was important to me: after spending a fortune at a dealer I took my car to monro for a second opinion. Got great, friendly service, Doug gave me some tips on how to avoid scams in the future, and it was very very affordable. Definitely going back!

I had recently gotten a flat and was trying to find a place to get a new tire as many shops were closed. We found them online and called. I see from other reviews that the type of service we received is the rule, not the exception. We blew a tire on a Saturday afternoon, an hour and a half from our rental and due to drive 3 hours home the next day. Despite being short staffed (as are so many fine establishments during this difficult time) and overworked, they made sure our repair was done and we could get home safely. So much appreciated.Just a note that they are hiring and offering a signing bonus due to ... have to believe this would be a great place to work!

I had a tire that kept losing pressure so I brought it in to Monro in a Sunday morning. They were super busy and down 2 mechanics but they had my car done in about 45 minutes. The staff is super friendly and professional. I will definitely bring my car back when I need to!One aside- if your car has a tool for locking lug nuts, make sure you have it and give it to them up front.

I had been a North Adams, MA Munro customer for over two decades but had not been there in two years (mostly because of the staff turnover). Last week I needed work on two cars, and I gave Munro another try.WOW! Pete (the manager) and Doug are great! They were professional and fair, and patiently answered all of my questions. I had extensive work done on my vehicles at a competitive price. The service was excellent and I will return here whenever I need service. Pete Cardinal was so accommodating and pleasant to talk to! He know that I had to get my son to his baseball game so he got us right in to get oil changed and made sure it was done in half an hour! They really helped us out when we had a flat and needed to replace the tires. They explained the options and costs, called us to update us, and got the work done so we could continue our vacation and not be left stranded! When an inventory issue came up, they gave us lower priced options and didnt try to upsell us.

Pete was wonderful! I brought him my car he fixed it same day ! I had it at genes in adams they had my car for 3 weeks and didn’t do anything to it. I called Pete was able to get it fixed the same day in a few hours. Great costumer service, they called and kept me updated as well. Highly recommend them !

Went in for a tire patch; however, whatever I ran over was in the wrong spot, so new tire replacement it was. The whole team was super friendly and explained the situation to me as to why a patch wouldnt work. I really appreciated them taking the time to do so. Made for a great experience despite the unexpected cost.

I had my Honda CRV towed here after it wouldn’t jump start multiple times. These guys were awesome in explaining why it was the battery, not the alternator, that was dead, and were able to replace it right away. I know nothing about cars but these guys were knowledgeable, friendly, and fast. Would definitely recommend.

One of the best experiences I’ve had with an auto repair shop/mechanic. I called in super early this morning with an emergency and spoke to Pete explaining my muffler had come apart and I’m here in town traveling, could they look at it? Pete was super nice and assuring, telling me to come on in and they will do their best to help out. Well, their best is certainly what my husband and I got. The team was able to do what they could to patch up my muffler allowing my husband and I to enjoy the rest of our vacation and more importantly; Be able to get home! Not only was the issue fixed, it was done so quickly and for an extremely reasonable price. Pete and his team really saved us and we couldn’t be more grateful!

My mother has been going here for many years. When I moved back to town she suggested that I go to Monroe for my mechanical needs. I called around to compare oil change and tire change prices, they won! I was shocked by the outstanding customer service, over the phone and in person. Pete has been exceptionaly friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, honest and professional. Ive been there 3 times now In the last 9 months. I dont think I can go to anyone else now. Its hard to find a mechanic that you can trust and afford.

Came here to get my oil changed and they could not have been nicer and more helpful. They pointed out a few other issues with my car that Ill probably have to get fixed soon, but there was no pressure to get them fixed immediately like Ive had from other auto places Ive been. Overall great service and I most likely will end up getting those aforementioned problems fixed here in the future.

I was visiting N. Adams from another state for the weekend. Late Saturday I hit a curb and ripped a hole in the sidewall of one of my front tires. I was scheduled to head home Sunday evening and the trip was too far to risk on a donut tire. I was able to make an appointment online for Sunday morning at Monroe on State street. The manager, Peter Cardinal, and his assistant could not have been nicer. They provided friendly and honest advice, followed by fast service. I literally drove away 30 minutes after arriving. In addition they moved my rear tire to the front and put the new tire in the rear so that the truck would ride better. I highly recommend this Monroe center. I would definitely give them repeat business if I lived in the area.

I called the North Adams Monro Muffler last week after I got a flat tire going to get my covid vaccine at Stop & Shop in North Adams (I live in Dalton). I called at 4:50 to see if they could fix my tire (the website said they were open until 7 pm). I was told that they had ONE GUY who works on tires and he was leaving early so they couldnt help me...AT ALL. My car comes with an inflator and sealant rather than a spare tire and I was worried that the puncture might be too big for the sealant to work. I got the tire inflated and sealed and luckily made it to Pittsfield where the Monro Muffler staff fixed my tire. Thanks for being dependable, Pittsfield Monro! As for the North Adams Monro shop, if you state that you are open until a certain time, you should be open until that time and have staff available who know how to assist customers. Its bad enough feeling helpless with a flat tire. But when a service center is literally 1 mile away with 2 more hours of service time until the end of the end and all they can say is follow the instructions for the sealant, my advice to customers is take your everyday business elsewhere because theyre not professional and they dont care.

Cool place. They really care. Stayed late for me, and acted professional yet friendly.

This was maybe the best experience Ive had with a mechanic! I was traveling and my brake warning lights came on, and Peter quickly determined that the brake pads were just fine—it was only the sensor and wire that needed to be replaced, by the dealer. He didnt charge me anything and saved me from dealing with the insurance company for hours, and later also helped me with my call with the insurance company. He also opened the garage and got me a chair so I can sit outdoors and still be out of the rain while I waited. Peter was very kind and helpful, I wish he were my neighborhood mechanic!

Honest people reasonable prices. Even if you dont have an appointment they still work with you to try and accomodate everyone. Pete is very professional and when it comes to custumer service. Doug is your man! Very satisfied and highly recommended

Pete got a look at it and called me with several options so that I could decide which one worked best for my schedule, wallet, and stress level. The next day, my Dodge was fixed, with an extra last-minute repair for something else. The entire team was friendly, easy-going, and transparent.

We ran into a problem with our rental car up Mount Greylock. After gingerly descending the hill back to North Adams, this was the first mechanic we found and we were really relieved that we did. Even though the place was about to close, Peter looked after us brilliantly, quickly identifying a serious problem with the car that, if wed just driven on, would have got worse. Great service. Pete has been incredibly helpful on a number of occasions. Most recently, after getting flats on two tires he personally stayed past closing to make sure everything was fixed. 2020 tried to give me one last headache but Doug and Josh were able to troubleshoot my issue and get me on my way. I was driving through North Adams at about 4:15pm on New Years Eve and I got a nail in my tire. I pulled into Monro and Doug and Josh seemingly dropped everything to solve the problem. They patched the hole and I was out of there in 30 mins. Thanks again guys!

My brakes went on a friday night; I had to work Saturday (Im a nurse.) Monroe had me in by 8 am, and I had my car by 11 am. I could have cried from relief! Thank you SO much.

Planning to driving to Georgia. Been working long days so decided to get my brakes done. I took them to a place in pittsfield 2 times and my brakes still sounded terrible. I decided to take it to Monroe where Peter was super personable and took great care of my car. It was done in half the time as the last place and now my car runs excellent. Second time for a visit. First time was to repair a flat and valve stem replacement. Quick easy and thorough. Second time was for an oil change on a BMW requiring a unique filter. Professional, timely and no issues at all. Great follow up.

My new (used) car was making a loud scraping/rattling noise, so I brought it in for a diagnosis. Pete was very polite and wasted no time putting my car on the lift to check things out. He called me over to car and turned the wheel with his hand. Is this the noise? he asked. I said yes. He said he was going to take the wheel apart. Within a few minutes, he came back inside and handed me a tiny rock, which was caught behind the rotor and causing the noise. He was very good-natured about the problem, solved it, did not charge me, and had me in and out of the shop in less than 15 minutes, expressing that he wanted to have a good relationship with the community and telling me to come back if I had any other problems. Go see Pete for your car problems!

We were on vacation in the Berkshires when our car battery died. Monro Auto was extremely helpful, kind and quick. They helped replace our battery in about 20 minutes without an appointment. The service was incredible! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Provided great brake service for my daughter’s car at a fair and reasonable price. Honest and brought us out to the garage to show us all the parts that needed to be replaced. Also did a multipoint inspection and found a mouse nest in the air filter. Thank goodness Pete checked it. Could have caused a fire if went unfound. Definitely going back to Pete for future service.
