Shady practices. I was charged for the dolly which was never used, still had the seal on, the share app had problems in uploading odometer picture after 15 attempts and customer support not able to help i was forced to drop it off without going through the return process so got charged for that. I picked up the truck at 1/4 fuel level dropped it off at 1/4 level still got charged for 4 gals of fuel. I had filled it up with 4 gals right before dropping it off so some how they can justify that a 15ft box truck can burn 8 gals of fuel in 26 miles. Stay away from this branch and do not rely on the after hour drop off service.

The staff here were so polite and responsive. They genuinely went out of their way to give me a better, cheaper experience. I also saw them help 2 or 3 other customers just while I was there. I would absolutely recommend these guys.

If I was able to give a review with less than 1 Atari would. First I was there 20 minutes at the propane area with no response from any employee then I got in line and I asked an older gentleman who appeared to be the manager if there was someone to do propane I got there 615 they don’t close until 7. He said it was closed because they were busy I get it was busy he was very overly rude when I asked why he rudely said we are busy and we don’t care about it. Now I can clearly see why this location gets 2.8 stars inherent is terrible. I will not ever use this location for anything and further more if uhaul allows this type of customer service I will never use them again.

When I called before my appointment, i was told the hitch was not available to install and installation must be rescheduled. I never received a call back or it never got rescheduled. I left multiple messages with customer service, tried escalating multiple times but nothing ever happened. And, on top of that, my credit card was charged when the service was never performed.This is terrible terrible service. probably the worst service received from a company in my recent memory. I am beyond disappointed. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY/LOCATION.

Very shady place, overcharged on miles, one good thing in the bad experience is they charged ridiculous 500 miles(actual 30 miles) in 4 hour rental so was able to convince customer support after few hours spent on call raising a second request, the first disputed request was canceled by the store manager and calling the store only ended up frustrating me more, the store manager was very rude and cut the call stating their mileage was correct. By all means stay away from this place. Double or triple check the mileage when you hire and return. Worst ever U Haul experience

Garbage company, false advertisingDirty trucks, had trash from previous customer in it. They didnt even bother to blow out the interior.False advertising as I needed a 6 ft wide trailer. Their trailers are not 6ft wide. 6 ft wide includes the space to get onto the trailer.

Never again using this uHaul. Awful experience. Completely unprofessional staff. Gave away my guaranteed truck when we showed up at 730am for a 7am rental. Never answered phones prior, never called to check if we were coming. Guy working desk could care less about customer issues, instructed us to call 1-800-uHaul after we were left with no truck and no alternative options.

They have big collection of trucks and trailers. Staff is good. After hours drop off is also available. They have packing and moving supplies as well. Working hours are 7 to 7 in week days. The equipment is in good condition and pickup/dropoff is also convenient. I asked for 4x8 trailer and they did not have so got a 5x8 one. Also they did not have one way trailers available.

The older man, manager or clerk whatever he is, I think John is his name is always rude. He welcomed us really badly, and when returning the truck, even worse.I needed the truck, so I had to bear with it. Next time, either well use Penske or a different uhaul store.Full review after drop off:At pick up, That John guy, the older guy, gave us a hard time for no reason. We were just trying to get a vehicle. He was in a rush or something. No questions answered. Every question was answered sarcastically or not at all.At drop off, he wouldnt even let us pay 1400 we owed. He yelled at us for parking it wrong. Or for even asking questions. He told us to pay online. We never got a link to pay. Just a picture of it with amount.The other skinnier older man is a bit better at customer service.This place sucks.The younger guy was nice.

This U-Haul location is right next to my apartment. I booked a week in advance to make sure I get a truck. They waited until the day before my move to move my reservation to the location on Ogontz Ave in Philadelphia. Obviously, it was too late to rent from another company at this point since everything is booked up. It took half a dozen phone calls early in the morning the day before my move to get someone to move my reservation to Roxborough instead. I still ended up having to pay for more miles that I intended and not a single person offered anything to make up for their blatant incompetence. I will do everything I can to avoid using U-Haul again.

Bought bundles of boxes. Asked for help to car. So far so good. First fit in back seat fine. Second he said would not fit. I could have returned them but instead I said, We can just fold the tops at the crease and they will fit in. He said ok and then left to talk on the phone with his girlfriend. At 63 years old I restled them into the car. Hit my head pretty hard. Um...if the store was busy, I get it but really? If I could buy from a small business I would as that is my targeted spending since Covid. Local small minority owned. But went to Uhall cause only other choice was Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart.

Picked truck up at 7:15am dropped off at 8 pm the same day was charged two day rental fee plus insurance for the second day on top of that an overnight drop off fee they double dipped on the charges and wouldnt work with me on price even though we put extra gas in the truck and did half the estimated miles, the only reason I gave them 2 stars was the guy who checked us out was nice at hooked us up on pad rental everyone else is either incompetent or greedy.

Very professional crew over there. The team was dealing with something of an emergency situation when I was waiting for pickup, and one of the employees (Steve) made sure that I got taken care of and on my way as quickly and smoothly as possible even while dealing with conditions outside of their control. The GM Gary even called over extra employees from another local U-Haul to help out the customers behind me.

I feel like I got scammed. Rented the truck for 8 hours but because of traffic and workload, I could not return in time. At first I was under impression of just paying for the base $29.99 extra if over time which I can understand. In the end I got charged DOUBLE FOR EVERYTHING, dolly to insurance, from $104 to $208 ?!?If I had know ahead of time then I would book the maximum time possible per session instead of just 8hr since it the same price to begin with. This company is not about service but about squeezing every pennies out of the customers.Will never recommend this to anyone.

Kept having to reschedule my hitch installation, after paying for expedited shipping, until they told me 4-5 WEEKS and I just had to cancel my whole order.Scheduled a hitch installation for Wednesday, paid the expedited shipping to get it there on time. They call me the next day saying we dont know if well get it in time well let you know Tuesday. Tuesday comes they say its gonna get here too late Wednesday. I say okay can we do Thursday? He says our installation guys out Thursday. So we make it Friday. This morning they call me and tell me the hitch is in but they cant get wiring and it would take 4-5 weeks.If they cant get the parts they cant get them, but dont Promise me parts. Im trying to MOVE and I already had to push the date back half a week now we might not be out of here until damn near July if we cant find a more reliable mechanic to install one for us fast.

My husband was too busy to take our RV for propane so even though I never drive our RV, let alone fill up the propane, I volunteered but was very nervous! The wonderful young lady at the desk knew exactly what to do, and she even guided me out of the parking lot. This business is very lucky to have her, we will definitely come back!

The general manager is one of the kindest and most helpful customer service reps my husband and I have worked with recently across business lines. He is thoughtful, courteous and attentive. Most of the negative reviews I read were issues with online or the 1800 number and how the location didnt offer free services for the inconvenience but you need to realize they are running a business and they can not control these, why should this franchise lose money on you for something far beyond their controls. I highly recommend calling the store directly. That is what we have done the multiple times we have gone there and never had a problem.

Rented a van for 24 hours online. Price was going to be $80. When I picked it up I was informed that the price was $150. I lived with it. Just checked my bank account and they charged me an additional $500 for what I have no idea. I’ll be heading over when they open for an explanation and refund. The truck was in perfect condition and with a full tank when I returned it.

Rented a truck. I left an All terrian Wagon by mistake in back of the truck. I called and I was happy to know that they found it. I was told they would lock it up until I got there. Went back a week later too find out it was stolen from one of their employees. The manager Gary told me he could not be responsible for his employees actions. Very disappointing. I will not be using U-Haul in the future. When you rent they take pictures of your bank cards and Drivers license. Very concerning considering what the employees are allowed to do with no ramifacations.

Do NOT use this U-Haul location!!! I have had the worst experience dealing with the most unprofessional and rude employees here. I rented a truck for 24 hours. I returned it in the same condition I picked it up in. Then days later they decide to charge my card an additional $357 and said that we dropped the truck off damaged. They said the driver side mirror was completely broken off and the skirt was dented in. I called and talked to Frank who was completely awful and rude and would not help me figure this all out. I asked if he could pull up camera footage to show when I dropped it off that the mirror was still on and no other damage was there. He said he couldnt because he would have to request it from Arizona! Why would I go through all of this if I damaged the truck? I didnt even get so much as a call to tell me they were going to charge my card so I could talk to them. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!

I had thee most unpleasant experience with an associate by the name of Frank. I had reserved a U-Haul to be picked up from his location using our company card which has no name on it. I’ll preface this with I showed up on time and the associate I originally encountered was on his way out and started looking for the associate who should be at the desk ( Frank ) after a few minutes Frank appeared and asked the associate if he wanted to check me in and associate declined as he was leaving. Not once did Frank my eye contact with me. I took a seat he asked me for my phone number and then asked me for my card which was already on file. I let him know if he needed it that I could run back to work to get it but he said I could not use the card at all as the owner of it would need to be present. As it’s a company card there is no owner. I asked to speak to someone else and still no eye contact he said there is no one else to speak to. The level of service I was provided with was more than unprofessional and enough to have me cancel my reservation with the location. I immediately contacted our drop off location who was apologetic for my experience with Frank and directed me to contact another uhaul company. I was able to secure another uhaul using the exact same company card used for previous uhaul rentals without hassle and surely more professionalism than Frank. There is clearly a way to communicate to guest and Frank should perhaps not be in a customer facing area. Since our company is based locally and we have more than one location it is simple enough to avoid this particular location. Perhaps Frank can be brought up to date with some Customer Service training.

I called before I went in to make sure the prices for boxes would be the same as online. When I went in, the man came right over to help me and got my order together for me. Then he even brought the boxes out to my car for me! You dont realize how awkward they are to carry until you attempt to carry many boxes of multiple sizes. He must have known! I was not expecting great service because I thought the great prices would be the trade-off, but they did not miss a beat! I will definitely be going back there even though there are a few box places closer. They were amazing!!

This facility has poor staff management, it takes 30 minutes to attend one customer . People keep waiting in line for hours . I went there to get a truck and have to wait for 50 minutes to get a pickup truck than when i went to return the truck again i have to stand in line for 40 minutes . They have no staff to escort you to the truck nor they attend you when you are back with truck . 2 customer returned without booking as their server didnot respond Looks like they are forced to do this business. One of the staff member is rude and looks like they done care about people standing in the line . Pathetic service .. Will never prefer Uhal and also wont come to this particular facility again. Save time never go to this facility its full of depressing staff and environment is not customer friendly .If you want to spoil your day go to this facility, I rented the truck for 1 hour but to get and return this truck i waited in line for 2 hours .Worst first time experience with Uhal .

I honestly wish I could give even less stars than one, because they do not deserve anything! I have been using this location for over two years consistently, and everyone in there always has an attitude. HOWEVER, this time was worse than ever. I went into the location at 3:30pm on July 27th and was told by a uhaul EMPLOYEE that I could not rent a truck because they were all out. I literally listed every truck they had, and was still denied. From 10ft -26ft, even asked about pickup trucks and cargo vans! He told me no right to my face. As a business owner who frequents at this location, I knew better to think they were all rented with a parking lot full of trucks!! I felt as if I was racially profiled being that I am a minority, so I went online to see what I could find.Within 30 minutes, I was booked with the 10ft truck I asked for, and was still at the same Location. I then called the 1-800 number to see if I made the correct reservation since I was just told that they were sold out, and she said “yes! You booked the truck at the same location our employee just denied you”.I then went back into the same store in front of the same man, and rentedMy truck!!Here we are 2 days later ( 7/29 ) and I am facing another problem. I tried returning my truck but was completely and blatantly ignored. The same RUDE employee and his BOSS were having too good of a conversation to help me return my truck. They literally stood in front of me talking for 3 very awkward minutes. To the point I waited in the store for 3 additional minutes. I felt so racially profiled and unaccepted that I had to go back into the Uhaul truck and manually check the truck in myself. Both employees were fully aware that I needed help, but they continued ignoring me. I wish I had it in me to be aggressive because they deserved an attitude from me! However, I took the high road and am writing reviews to every uhaul I can find. I am emailing cooperate, And even the Norristown municipal building. We deserve better! This is our community and you are a business here.This is a town full of diverse minorities. So we need to be treated equally and respectable. Otherwise, get Uhaul out of here!! I have a degree and own 3 businesses, so I know what situation is what! I was profiled, disrespected, degraded, humiliated, and I can go on.Please contact me, or fire them! Reserved my truck online, pre-registered and then came to pick it up, was in and out in about 20 minutes. They have a lot of trucks available at this location. The staff was helpful and friendly. I returned the truck and paid the amount agreed upon. The only catch is that theres not much parking for cars there so I parked on a nearby street but there was plenty of street parking so no biggie.

We did not have any problems with the truck, but when we tried to return our unused uhaul boxes for the refund that is advertised everywhere, the owner, Gary, would not issue a refund because we did not have the receipt from buying the boxes. Where else would we have gotten UHAUL boxes from?? We have an account with Uhaul and there are clear records of our purchases in their system. 2 of the boxes we received were defective and we could not use. Gary refused to refund those at all either. He was unprofessional and had poor customer service skills. Avoid this location!

If I could give a negative star I would. Reserved a one-way truck a week ago. Someone from another location calls me the day before I need the truck about my reservation. Confused why someone from Lansdale would be calling about my reservation, I call the Norristown location to find out what is going on. After being transferred 4 times without being told so, I was advised they did not have one way rentals this weekend. Now it puts me in a bind to find a rental at the last minute. They are unorganized and unprofessional. Do NOT use U-Haul, go to Budget Truck Rental.

Terrible. I reserved a trailer 3 weeks in advance that said subject to availability in the contract. I called to confirm 3 times even the day of pick up and the call center said i was good to go. When i get there, they send me to Roxborough and said someone was supposed to call me. -- never did obviously. had to drive 45 minutes away from home in rush hour traffic because someone forgot to call me and tell me of the change of location. Customer service is VERY LOW on their list of priorities. Asked for something to compensate me for this inconvenience an came up a big goose egg. NEVER AGAIN>

The manager, Ewing was extremely rude, unprofessional and unethical. He became defensive when I questioned the charges and refused to show me the contact. Once I reviewed my bank account I noticed illegal charges and contacted corporate. My truck was not where I expected it to be, as that provider did not have the size truck I needed. Found out the morning of my move, by calling the first guy that my truck was supposed to be in Norristown. Drove down to Norristown. My Truck was not there either, as it had not been returned the night before as it should have been. After fuming and waiting for some time, a 26 truck drove into the lot. Not the truck that was scheduled for me, but it took almost 2 hours to get the whole deal turned around. Then I was explained the Gas Tank Policy, which was leaving a half tank of gas in the truck at drop off. I did not drive the truck, my son did and he informed me that the truck only had a bit more than a 1/4 tank when he got in it. I called the call center the next day ( I still had the truck for that day) to report the gas amount problem. I have no problem leaving in it what we started with. but I am not leaving it with more! Take Pictures! They are supposed to take a pic of the gas gauge before you get take the truck. We took a pic of the gauge ourselves.

Terrible experience. I called 1-800-GO-UHAUL to arrange for a hitch to be placed on my car. The UHaul phone employee found a site (not close to me) that listed itself as having a hitch. I went on the day of my appt only to discover that the Norristown site not only did not have a hitch for my car but that UHaul has zero in stock at any site. The Norristown store manager gave me an inauthentic apology and said it wasnt his fault since I didnt speak with him when making the hitch appt. Uh...I called 1-800-GOUHAUL and made the appt...why should I then call his store? It was clearly entered in their computer that I was there for the hitch and there were no computer checks and balances prior to my showing up to provide for a customer who was obviously there for a specific purpose. Rude employees there, one even laughed at me, no accountability and no compensation (I also rented a vehicle that day, no courtesy discount for my time wasted). DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND.
