I was recommended to the salon by a friend and I’m so pleased with the results! The salon is very clean and organized. The ladies are very kind and gentle. I got a spa pedicure and gel manicure. They were very patient and respectful with all patrons, especially the young and elderly patrons. Each customer and employee are required to wear a mask and they truly care about the safety of everyone. Can’t wait to go back!
I had an amazing experience from the moment I stepped into the salon until I left. The lady who did my nail was amazing. I was not sure what to do. She helped me. She showed me different styles and picked the colors with me. She was super nice. I had my appointment with them at 3:30pm, they didn’t make me wait. The place is clean, organized and quiet. I definitely recommend for everyone to have great experience and great nails looking. They will be my professional forever
By far the best nail salon I’ve ever been to. I’ve been going to Kiora every couple of weeks for 5 months now and they consistently surprised me with their ability to turn my ideas into beautiful nail art. All the nail techs are incredibly talented and detail-oriented. I’ll be moving out of state soon and leaving this place behind may be there hardest part! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful set of nails for affordable prices.
I wish I could do a half a star, yea it was horrible. The tech didnt clean off old polish. She barely trimmed my nails. The polish had streaks. She nerve said a word. I pointed these things out to her but she just ignored me. If she doesnt understand English maybe she shouldnt be working in a field where you need to communicate to provide a service. The owner(?) was busy and I had to leave so I called, and have not received any responses. Dont waste your money
Kiora is my only nail spa. After moving 45 min away from kiora - I have tried other nail techs /nail spas and I have not been pleased. So relaxing, great customer service and on time . Always leave happy and satisfied! Highly recommend! Everyone is very nice and accommodating. Sydney does amazing work and I will forever be a guest .
The only place that will touch my nails!!!! Very professional and courteous. Love it
The staffs were very welcoming and kind, they asked if I could wait around 20-30 mins for my walk in services, which I was fine with it because I had no where to go. The girl who helped me was wonderful, she helped me pick out my colors ( They have A LOT OF COLORS and I am extremely INDECISIVE) and assists me, make sure Im happy with every steps of the services. Ive gotten SNS powder a few times in the past by the local salons and they were always too thick, however, my technician did an amazing job and I absolute love my nails. The pedicure stations were also very clean and they use the pedicure kit that means one time use only for pedicure. Love it KIORA, you guys are my to go place now. I will definitely schedule an appointment and come back !!!
I love getting my nails done here. Im able to show the nail techs working here what they want and theyre able to make it come to life. Theyre super clean and are super good at nail art. Im always willing to drive 30 minutes out of the city just to get my nails done here. Would highly recommend anyone to get their nails done here.
Welcoming environment and very clean. The staff are all very nice and professional
I’ve been going to Kiora since November of last year and this place is my absolute favorite. I always find myself returning despite the 30 minute drive. They always do my nails exactly as I want and exactly the same as the picture I show. The nail techs are all talented and do beautiful designs and charge accordingly for the service. The salon itself is very bright and clean. I always get dip either on tips or my natural nails. The dip that they use is top of the line. My dip set always last at least 3 weeks and my nails never break and the dip never lifts!
Yesterday I wrote this business a bad review. Which was a first for me. They took the thought and time to reply (below) with a very kind reply. Had this kindness given in this public reply been the kind of costumer service I was met with in their nail salon I would never have written a poor review. Unfortunately, the reply written by Kiora nails below is not how they treat you in the salon. I wish it was.I kept returning - not because I got poor service or quick service elsewhere but simply because they are they closest location to my house. I am a stay at home mom who can only run out during naps to get self care done (while my husband works from home). It’s true I have left many times. This last time very frustrated. I think it’s important to consider how I was greeted and treated prior to leaving. The girl who typically speaks to me does not look up or greet in a friendly way. It is perceived as rude. Her response to a walk in for eyebrows is that it will be a long wait. I usually follow that up with “how long?” To which she responds, typically, 20 mins.It is referenced in their reply that they were busy, or the pandemic has presented their small business with capacity issues, or that they simply don’t do business in the typical nail salon fashion where a nail technician will excuse herself to address the smaller service of eyebrow waxing as opposed to having the eyebrow person wait until another client finishes getting their full nails done. All of which is completely understandable. If it were to be kindly explained at the time of interaction. But it is not. If walk ins are not preferredDue to post pandemic accommodations that’s ok - just say so or kindly recommend the person call ahead (especially if you notice this happens to a costumer often). If eyebrows aren’t your bread and butter as far as services offered - that’s ok too! Just let me know so I can look elsewhere. If the pandemic has you short handed that’s completely understandable - a quick kind conversation with your costumer explaining “hey we see you come in a lot and often leave because we are too busy and the wait is long, we would love to accommodate you. What would work best is a call before hand (even 5-10mins) so we can gauge the wait time for you”All of these outcomes are perfectly professional and acceptable. What’s not acceptable is taking the time and consideration to reply to a bad review making your business look like the victim and the costumer look like a crazy lady. Where is the accountability on your end?Yes I have left frustrated or as you mentioned below “done this to you several times” because I feel I am met with rude costumer service as soon as I walk in the door.A struggling small business should value every dollar brought in and try their best to communicate with their costumers to ensure they return with their business.I hope Kiora can consider this review more carefully and hopefully make some costumer service adjustments that could avoid future poor reviews on their business.
I’ve been coming to this salon semi loyally for years before it changed ownership and name. (Formerly Unique Nails.) Enjoyed it a lot before, but 1 out of 5 times I seemed to always need a post-fix. Since it changed, I’ve been very comfortable and impressed. I love that it has small little touches like a pedicure menu so you can pamper yourself with spa-like treatments and also a pick your own scent hand lotion with essential oils. The staff there is female owned and driven, and they are all great. Love the younger employees in college. They are great at chatting comfortably with you if you are cool with that (I am!), and honestly it’s easiest to understand them. ESP with the hindrance of the masks and plexiglass due to Covid, language barriers can be tough. Also, bonus : mg nails look great!
Been a customer here for 2 years! They do an amazing job. Always done with in a timely manner. If I didn’t make an appointment I always go early so I’m never waiting. There’s usually not a long wait time if I got there later in the day. Nails always last me a long time. I used to go once a month before covid.
I went to this nail salon before it became Kiora and I really liked it. So of course I was a little nervous when it was taken over by new ownership. But I have to say this salon is amazing! I’ve loved everything they’ve done. The nails last forever. They are also friendly and it’s just a really pleasant place to go. I highly recommend
Very clean, very creative & welcoming. Not rushed because most services are by appointment. They do take walk in customers but its always good to call ahead and be sure there is not a wait.
Just got a pedicure and it was nice!
So I had regular manicure at Kiora and they seem to give preference to gel nails as they didn’t seem enthusiastic about regular manicure. They gave the worst tech they had to me although other techs were available. She messed up the skin on 3 fingers causing it to bleed. Then the main tech was unapologetic about it saying it’s normal to bleed if you have thin skin. #1 you are not dermatologist to determine my skin type #2 it is NOT normal#3 that’s not the right approach for your customers with bleeding fingers caused by your crooked hands employeesAlso the tech couldn’t file a strait nail shape so I took a file and files all my nails myself because her shape elevated to the right corner. When she applied the polish it came bubbly and the same manager told me that they do not give guarantees for nail polish as it’s not gel nails. So I left with bubbles on each finger.Awful experience! Do not go there if you care to have good looking hands for few weeks
This is the only nail salon I will go to anymore. Kiora does my nails and they are always perfect and never have problems with them breaking off between fills. Her entire staff are wonderful! Highly recommend this salon!
This was my first time visiting this salon after my salon temporarily closed for covid. I have been getting dip powder for 3years now primarily at the same salon. My salon seals the dip powder with dip powder while other salons (including this one) seals the dip powder with gel polish. I’m not a fan of gel hence that’s why I stopped getting it, the finish for gel isn’t as polished as the finish when sealed with dip powder. This salon is okay as a back up but I’ll be going back to my original salon when they reopen. I’m slightly biased but I’m trying to give a honest review. Below are other pros and cons.Pros: beautiful salon, calming music, nice decor, organized and some what friendly staff, appointments required during covid to help spacing, staff wore mask and required them of guest.Cons: this is the type of salon that charges for every thing ($2 to cut down my long natural nails), my nail tech had her nails done and seems more interested in not messing up her nails then doing mine (not every tech had their nails done), not sure if they adequately cleaned the stations between clients, they used the electric buffer to take off dip powder which wears down nails instead of letting them soak In acetone, my tech didn’t have gloves on
Wow! So different from the last owners. Kiora was immaculate, they were incredibly professional and boy they can do nail designs! This was our first time there and they treated us as if we had been clients forever.
I have been coming here for a year and have always been incredibly happy with everything. The attention to detail, the prices, and the graciousness of all the employees. The salon went through a total remodel recently. They have A TON of nail colors, more than any salon Ive ever been to. Love the essential oil hand massage at the end of every manicure!
I’m so glad I came in to this salon. These ladies are very gentle, and calm. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere and reasonable prices.
It was great Relaxation
Not friendly techs. Charge for every little thing separately. Discuss other clients behind their back. Mediocre service.
Great service !
Kiora is open on Sunday, (convenient for me), and has been completely done over, cleaned up and seems to have a new owner. I have been several times now and they do amazing manicures, Amazing! Both the women and the young man who did my nails one time, are real pros. They pay a lot of attention to detail in so far as cleaning up my nails & cuticles. I am very, very pleased. Im in and out in 45 min to an hour. I do call ahead of make an appointment the day before. One time I was not well and burst in and canceled my appointment and they were so gracious. Cant wait to get a pedi.
Amazing! COVID-19 conscious, very friendly, very thorough but quick! I will be back!
Awful experience, rude, nails were so awful
Very professional, clean and friendly.I dont feel like Im being rushed when Im there. Sydney is the best!!!
