I have been hand sharpening my lawn mower blade for the past few years and never happy with the results. Local hardware store went out of business and I stopped at Ace Hardware in two towns and found out that they dont offer sharpening services. I went to Google and found Johns services just a few minutes from home. Placed the blade in drop box with my name and email on a Thursday night. Recd a text from John that the blade would be ready early Friday AM. The blade came back razor sharp and all nicks removed. No plans to hand sharpen again.

John does it right the first time, which is more than I can say for myself. There are few things better than working with a sharp knife in the kitchen. There is just something so satisfying about a clean slice, quick chop, and dont even get me started on mincing. But you know whats not fun? Sharpening your knives yourself. I know.I tried. Norfolk Sharpening is amazing! A neighbor was having them come out so I was able to bring my knives over for John to sharpen. The at home service is great, no worrying about going to a store or sending the knives out. It was very quick and reasonably priced. John showed the proper way to sharpen knives at home too. Outstanding Service!First contact with John was a text in the later afternoon which he promptly responded to. We arranged a time for him to come by my house the next morning to pick up the knives. I left them outside on the steps in a cardboard box. He picked them up and had them back to me that afternoon. 10 Knives in all. All hand sharpened! These were top of the line chef knives that had not been sharpened in years. They all now have a gleaming edge! Ha, and we were just considering buying new knives. Glad we didnt. It was so easy to use this service! I used one of the drop boxes he has available. I don’t know why I waited so long to get my knives and pruners sharpened but I’m not going to wait the next time my knives get dull. I swear, they seem sharper than when they were new. I had John at Norfolk Sharpening sharpen a number of kitchen knives, plus repair/sharpen several pairs of scissors. I had never had any of my knives sharpened before and was extremely happy with the results! They cut like brand new. As for the scissors....I thought they were in bad shape and thought it was a long shot that he would get them to any sort of working condition; however, they are working better than they did when I bought them! Amazing! I couldn’t be more pleased with the work John did and highly recommend him. The system he has for drop off/pick up makes it very easy for customers.
