It was a pleasant location. I actually felt good about my haircut here than I ever do at sports clips. They charge way to much for a salon. They dont use razor blades to do your edge ups. They do good edge ups here.

Excellent haircuts for me and my 13-year-old son. Appearance and atmosphere was like a pleasant step back into the ‘60s. Polite but cheerful and conversational. Spotless but with lots of old Norfolk photos and memorabilia—St. Patrick’s parade et al. Inexpensive and a neck massage included. Hooyah!

Mr. D is fantastic and cuts hair like many cant match. Decades of experience. The downside is you have to wait cause the poor old guy is slammed all day every day. If you have the time and want the classic barbershop experience he is worth the wait.

I just got back from the barber shop and Willie cut my hair it was amazing. Hes very confident and fast and did a great job! He also had a vacuum attached to his clippers that sucked up the cut hair which was awesome because i dont need to rinse my head to get all the little hairs off, I can go straight tomy date tonight. If youre super sensitive to noise bring some ear plugs because the vacuum is a little loud but it didnt bother me and was easily worth the lack of hair clippings that a brush usually misses.

Never again. The lady working Saturday 9/14/2019 totally messed up my sons hair. Even he said he never wants to go back. Terrible. Mr D does a fine job, but I still will never be returning.

Best barbershop Ive ever been to really. Only cash is accepted so be ready! Even on weekends when its busier they are always well staffed. The massage at the end is awesome 😁

Mr. Davenport is an artist from the old world tradition of head-shape, and esthetic balance. Though he may now how to, no fancy cuts here. Just the basic done right. With neck shave and a shoulder rub. There is no better barber Ive ever been to in 68 years.

Davenports has been around for more than 20 years. A great barbershop. Sort of old school. Go in, relax, get great service at reasonable prices and a side of conversation to go along with it.

All the barbers here are very friendly, and they have always made my hair look good (as much as possible with the hair that I have left)! And the haircuts are very reasonably priced!

Ive been there three times, got a different barber each time. I got the same outstanding quality haircut. They take their time to get it right, so there is a bit of a wait. I didnt mind for such a great cut at such a low price.

Hubert Davenport has had this shop in The same location for as long as it has been in existence right near the end of Granby st and ocean view ave. Jimmy Flasky is one of the barbers who is a good friend of mine and has cut my hair for many uears. There is typically 4 people cutting hair so there is not to long a wait unless youre waiting a particular barber

My favorite barber, David Cottrell worked a miracle on my nephew. We love Davenports, this place is a hidden gem!

The absolute worst haircut I have ever had. Asked for a medium fade, same haircut Ive had for years now. He just cut with no guard clear up the side of my head, absolutely no fade. Completely cut up the back of my neck with a razor. It looked so terrible I immediately went across town to another barber for some damage control. I feel like people have sued for less than what happened to me at Davenports.
