Unprofessional, poor customer service. They did not do any thing to fix our work order from american home shield . Very rude and unpforessional company surprisingly staying in business.
This company is absolutely HORRIBLE. When you call the receptionists barely speak just place you on hold before you can even say Hello. Youll wait Oh a good 10-15 minutes before anyone gets on the line otherwise youre hung up on. Communication with you after your issue is fixed is non-existent. For what its worth just RUN from this company! They are not even worth the one star that I gave them.
The WORST. The cannot communicate as they speak Russian not English. I had 2 different technicians, neither spoke English. I could not ask questions nor get instructions . The technician did not know how to use controls on the oven. I had to demonstrate and use hand signals.
This is the WORST company I have ever dealt with in my life. They were contracted to us through American home shield. The guy showed up, spoke no English, spent 10 min on the dishwasher and all he could say was plumber. He gave no explanation of what he did (although it was absolutely nothing). Then he lied on his report saying he installed new pieces and now they refuse to come back out even though I watched him and he did nothing. They yelled at us when we called to get them to come back out as well- extremely rude receptionist. Worst customer service and company ever. DO NOT USE. They are just taking home warranties co pays and not doing anything. Run far away from them.
The worst customer service you could ever ask for rude, disrespectful. He looked at a dishwasher didn’t even inspect it and said it was fine I had to show him that it was leaking water everywhere. do not use these people they are the worst ever. You have been warned.
First off They came in their personal vehicle and then when he came in he couldn’t speak English because he told me he was Russian. On top of that he couldn’t explain anything or communicate to me what was wrong or going on with my refrigerator. I tried using google translate to comment with him and he ignored some of my questions and when I tried calling the company I got no response. In the end he finally told me “replace” and start laughing. How unprofessional is that for someone to do when you can’t speak English!!!

Was assigned this contractor from home warranty program. They visited 4 times worked more than 8 hours..... still not a working refrig after 6 weeks. Have Received NO paperwork confirmation (paper or electronic) of visits or work performed, entered email on 3rd visit to have it emailed to me...sent nothing..Given NO record of what work was completed.. BUT it’s the “customer service” person who answers the phone that really takes the cake of unprofessionalism. She has yelled at me, told me that she has no access to the answering machine, left me on hold for 25 minutes and has hung up on me after yelling....it was not an accidental disconnection. They have no email contact, current social media information or even a website. Look elsewhere for service.
I had a truly terrible experience with amtec. I advise that you reconsider hiring this company, especially if you are a woman and going to be alone during the tech visit. I needed my dryer repaired and this company was sent by the warranty company I have to address the issue. They came to my house 3 or 4 times for the same problem that they never resolved. The first tech replaced a part and insisted nothing else was wrong, and typically spent only 5 minutes looking at my dryer before he would run out the door. I asked for a 2nd tech and this is when things really got out of hand. This tech was verbally abusive. It started out as him shouting at me to fetch him things without a please or thank you and would snatch things from me, never making eye contact. This almost immediately escalated into screaming, shouting, demeaning, telling me I was incompetent, etc. I tried to keep calm because I had no idea if he was going to assault me. I just wanted to get him out of my house as soon as possible. He calmed down towards the end and apologized for his behavior, as he walked out the door, with a conditional but... implying it was my fault he was out of control. I was shaken and disturbed. I contacted the warranty company and changed my service company immediately. The 2nd company discovered amtec had installed a faulty or bad part and had to replace it again, as well as some other things. Im still waiting for the warranty company to address this issue.

Vlad was great and came on time. He fixed our washer that stopped working after 5 years. He replaced the part and after that it worked like new. It didnt take him long to figure out what was wrong, he was very friendly, worked fast and provided great service. Thanks for this amazing experience and customer service.
Receptionist is very rude, disrespectful and if you challenge them she delays you or put you in hold for hours also she had hung of the phone on me, My home warranty company dispatched them to fix my dryer. They diagnosed online and ordered the part. It took too long and I had to leave for vacation so I called them and gave my roommate number to schedule appointment with him. In vacation she called and said you missed your appointment. They even didn’t call me or my roommate for appointment and came to my house before scheduling appointment. I don’t know why AMERICAN HOME SHIELD working with this awful company. Amtec is unprofessional with bad attitude and awful customer service!!!
We had no choice but to use this company as our home owners warranty contracted solely alone with them. We had our dryer go out and called our home owners warranty back in August 2020. It took a week before someone could come out and look at it. The part was ordered August 16th. It is Sept 15th and we still do not have a fixed dryer. My account, and many phone calls later, shows the part being delivered to Amtech on September 3rd. Amtech, as of this review, still claim they do not have the part. Their customer service is the worse I have experienced with any business, and thats if you ever gets beyond the initial person answering the phone. Our homeowners warranty is now submitting a replace unit claim. I really dont want to replace my dryer, but that might be the only option.
Amtec came out three times from our home warranty to repair several appliances. Everything was fixed in a timely fashion. Never had issues with the office and the people working the phones are great. I would highly recommend this company to any one in need of repairs.
The receptionist was very polite and helpful in keeping me informed as to what was going on with the process of my refrigerator repair. The technicians that were dispatched to my home were very knowledgeable and efficient as well as punctual and polite. Keep up the good work!
Worst company ever!! Our home warranty company dispatched them to service/fix our washer and dryer. They came out and said the washer needs to be replaced and alleged they fixed the dryer. We tried to use the dryer again and it didnt work. We contacted them directly again to check the dryer. The same technician showed up and we were hoping to get this resolved. As my husband began explaining to him what the dryer was doing he became annoyed and started yelling at my husband. We escorted him off the property and told his company what happened. They pretty much sided with their employee. If I could give them a zero, I would. Dont use this company as they are not professional and/or courteous. With all these bad reviews I wonder how they stay in business.
My oven went out, but my stove top still worked. I called my home warranty and they selected Amtec Service, Inc. I read the negative reviews on Google/Yelp and was very skeptical. They didnt call me to schedule, which is usually the case, based on the referral. So I called them. Customer service was courteous and professional.I made the appointment and the first one available was 7 days away.The repairman arrived on time, inspected, and stated a part needed to be ordered. It took another week for the part to be received and the next available appointment 4 days after that.It took him about 20 minutes to install the new part and my oven is working fine.
Boris was my tech through my home warranty. He is very professional, personable, and knowledgeable. We chatted as he worked about shopping and Kia cars as we both own one. It was like having a friend over! If you need the job done quickly by a very nice man, ask for Boris!
The repair was late he had a very smart mouth very unprofessional. The office never answer your call and when the receptionist is very unprofessional also and they dont speak clear.
I was assigned from HSA home warranty. I am over 60 days with no dishwasher because 1. Misdiagnosed dishwasher on first visit 2. Came to install part and they realized technician ordered wrong part 3. Installed part and dishwasher still not working 4. Came back and determined dishwasher needs another part.I call daily for updates. Last part was ordered two weeks from my apt. They blamed HSA. Called HSA and they blamed Amtec. Over 60 days and my dishwasher still does not work. Do not use this company.
One of the most brazenly unethical companies I have dealt with. Told us that the thermostat on our oven was broken and they would order a part through our contracted company, American Home Shield. Meanwhile, they told AHS that we had cut the thermostat, (something that we would not even have the knowledge to do), so that AHS declined to honor this service. When I called the company, the manager Tom hung up on me. They are a complete fraud and lied to the company and myself because they did not know how to fix the problem. Stay away from these incompetent frauds!

Where do I begin!!!!! If you have AHS homeowners warranty run. This is the only option for appliances meaning washer & dryers. They came to my house on 8/14 and determined my appliances needed new parts. On 9/14 I reached out because I hadnt heard anything, I was told that only one of the parts for my dryer part had come in and they werent sure when my washer part would arrive. I reached out to them again on 10/2/2020 and was advised I need to contact my homeowners warranty company. After going back and forth with them and the homeowners company for two weeks I was made aware they wont come out and fixed my dryer without my washing machine part. As of todays date I am now without both appliances.I am awaiting AMTEC to reach out to the warranty company so that they can authorize my new appliances. The sad part is when I reached out to the Amtec the lady that answers the phone is rude and confrontational. The company knows nothing about customer service. I repeat never use them you will be dissatisfied and disappointed to say the least.NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY !!!!! NEVER LET THEM IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD. I gave one star because you cant post without it.
Amtech was assigned to me through my home warranty company, American Home Shield, to fix my dryer. The dryer needed 2 parts to be ordered. It was 2 months before Amtech came back to install the parts. I had no clothes dryer for 2 months!!
I hate leaving negative reviews. Communication and follow up have been really poor. Id encourage looking at other providers.Quick update. After multiple attempts to get this resolved and them being less than communicative or helpful, I had another company come out. They were able to fix the problem within 15 minutes, said it wasnt a big deal, see this problem often, and its all fixed.I hate saying this, but Id invest your time and money for service elsewhere. Really dissappointed with Amtec and will never call them again for service.
The old man has been out to the house 6 times over 2+ months to fix my refrigerator. The lady that schedules the calls (same accent, wouldn’t surprise me if they were married), has a bad attitude, and will delay your call if you challenge them at all. This current visit I told him a tip a friend of mine (who is a very accomplished commercial refrigeration expert) mentioned, and his response was “if he thinks he can fix it, maybe you should call him out”!!?!?? The old man has had a bad attitude from the first call...I asked the warranty company to send someone else this time, and guess who shows up? if I wasn’t depending and had already paid for service, I would kick them out and call someone else. I’m about to just go ahead and pay out of pocket...Amtec is unprofessional, makes you wait a LONG time for terrible service and a bad attitude!

Had a faulty board with our oven. Replaced it quickly and very professionally. Could not have been happier with the speed and the result. Would not hesitate to call them again.
Our washer stopped working May 4th, American Home Shield hired Amtec to repair it. They came out next day, told us it was the motor and parts would be here in 2 days. They didnt, we were then told 5-7 days. Once they came in a different technician came out to repair our washer, but told us it had been misdiagnosed and the parts would not fix our issue. So they ordered new parts, they finally came in but when they came to fix our washer not all parts where here. So we are going on day 31 of no washer.
Receptionist disrespectful, they lied and they are awful with the coordination of the service. Issued a complaint with insurance to change provider. Do not accept dealing with them!

Contracted through American Home Shield and paid $75 but the technician never showed up to my home after the date was set. AHS ended up having to send me a check for $75 because they couldnt get in touch with Amtec either, how unprofessional. Im so glad I dodged a bullet, judging from the reviews and my own experience, I would never trust those people in my home if they ever did actually decide to show up.

This company was assigned to me through my home warranty program. While the technician was courteous, patient, and efficient the woman setting up the appointments was horrible. She does not know the meaning of customer service. I did not understand what she was saying so I asked her to repeat it and she began yelling at me over the phone. She’s very nasty and very rude. Based upon how she treats her customers I would not recommend this company.

I have been using Amtec for over 10 years. I refer them all the time to residents, and everyone including myself have always been happy with their service, quality, and the cost of the repair.
Would get 0 Stars if it would be possible. This is the worst company and I reported it to the Better Business Bureau.I created a service order on May 22 because of a total of three issues, 1) water/ice dispenser is not working, 2) there’s a knocking noise coming from the back of the refrigerator that sound like metal hits on metal, and 3) the fridge is leaking some kind of fluid in the back. On May 24, the service technician came out and looked at the first issue, and told me that the control board needs to be exchanged. Actually, he couldn’t really tell me because he doesn’t speak any English but I was able to understand what he meant. He simply ignored the other two issues although I tried to tell him four times. The part had to be ordered of course. He came back on June 7 with the refurbished (not new) part, put it in, and it still didn’t work. After calling someone and heavily arguing (in Russian I guess) he tried to explain to me that another part is broken that needs to be replaced. That was 10 days ago and I haven’t heard anything since then. I already called twice and tried to speak to the manager but he was always not in the office and I was promised a call back. That never happened.
Horrific experience. We had the misfortune of having to deal with this company thru our HSA home warranty to fix the fan on our stove top. The worker showed up and examined the situation and said that he simply needed to order a part and would call us back and return. We waited and waited and they never followed up. I finally had to call HSA and they claimed that the Amec worker claimed that the problem with our stove was our neglect, which is bogus. Total scam, avoid doing business with both Amtec and HSA home warranty.
Our technician, Victor, was a perfect gentleman and very skilled! He quickly figured out the problem with our dryer and when he didnt have the correct parts he drove to the supply store inRUSH HOUR traffic and then came back to our home, after his usual hours, and finished the repair! He could have delayed the job for another day or two but he didnt!This company has always done good work for us and Victor is excellent!

Extremely poor and unacceptable customer service! They were contacted by my home insurance on 12/22/15 and never contacted me to make an appointment. I had to contact them a day and a half later, right before they closed, at which point they said they soonest they could get a tech to my house was the following Monday (12/28). When the tech arrived, he took 15 mins to determine my dryer needed a new heating element (which I told them over the phone). The tech said they would have to order the part and it would take 2 days and that they would fix my dryer this week - no problem. Two days later I had not heard back from them so I called - they claimed the part had still not arrived, that it would probably arrive on the evening shipment, that parts took 1 - 3 days to arrive (not what the tech told me) and that they would call me back. The next day (it was now Thursday 12/31) I had not heard back still and when I called they claimed the part still had not arrived and that they would call me as soon as it did and schedule the tech to fix my dryer. I didnt hear back from them until Saturday morning (1/2/16) at which point they said the soonest a tech could come out was Tuesday, 1/5/16 afternoon! A full 2 weeks after service was requested to replace a heating element in the dryer. The only time this company made the initiative to call me was once on Saturday morning. I had to initiate all other contact to try and find out the status of my service! No consideration, courtesy, or urgency reference taking care of and keeping informed the customer!

AHS preferred company- theyve been to my home numerous times over the last 2 years. They never resolve the problem quickly and most of the time not at all. Their technicians are ornery and not that knowledgeable. They frequently tell you its a control board. Every problem is a control board! Then they tell you if it continues, unplug for 30 minutes. It should work. Their dispatch is rude and makes every attempt to get you off the phone and not reach their supervisor. Total scam. $75 every time they come out, for the same problem, that just cropped up again after the repair warranty expired! AHS must love it, they never have to replace your appliance! The appliance company says its fixable!

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had. The office staff is impossible to communicate with because the girl answering the phone will not listen to the customer. Asked to speak with supervisor and had to call back 10 times before they would finally speak with us. All we wanted was for the diagnosis to reflect what the tech said.They were sent from American Home Shield. The technician was ok but did not write up the diagnosis like he explained in person and would not put a cost to fix the item on the invoice after it had been sent.Called back again later to get a price to repair and they wouldn’t send it to us via email. They said we had to get the tech back out.Called back again and asked
Hopefully I dodged a bullet, but I couldnt even get past making an appointment with them. Each appointment offered overlapped the 3PM in which I explained would conflict with school pickup just a little and to have some flexibility with me at that time. I explained that it would be a few minutes before and after 3 PM that I would not be available. Nada! No can do! Well then, well move on to a more reasonable company and avoid any trouble starting now.
This was an AHS service. After 4 visits of the technician, two times changing the motor, one visit taking literary 5 hours, putting me on hold for 30 minutes when I call to tell them the machine is not working again, he offers he send a senior technician Worst service company I have ever worked with. They need to go out of business.

I was very pleased to get the service on the same day. I have 3 children and was ready to have a huge pile of dirty clothes over the weekend. I called Amtec to make an appointment and it turned out they fixed the washer within 3 hours after my call.
This company is a total waste of time. They are a scam if I have every seen one. They provide sub-par service and will leave you completely in the dark. They gave me a timeline of 3-5 days to receive an ordered part and instead over a week later I find that they havent even ordered it but told my home warranty company that they have already completed the work order. Just stay away.
This company was assigned to my AHS account to service my washer. The tech told me that they only accepted cash or check, so I paid the tech $75 in cash. He said an email receipt would be emailed to me and conveniently, the email never arrived . Well, now AHS wants $75 dollars as the tech and the company are saying that I never paid them. Huge disappointment! What a shady service. Do NOT use them!!
This is our first experience with Amtech Inc. The repair person who we were assured would arrive between 11am-1am he has not called or showed.I called the Amtech office and was told they scheduled two appointments for our time and he would be late.I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no one is available.I asked if we could receive a discount or our service fee back and was told they do not offer that.I am very displeased and would not recommend this company to anyone.

I reported a refrigerator problem to American Home Shield, and they assigned it to Amtec Services. Oleg, the technician came on a Sunday, had to come back, and fixed the problem perfectly. He knows what hes doing and hes a very nice guy. I was very happy with the service.

American Home Shield assigned Amtec my refrigerator claim. After 10 days never receiving a call from a call from Amtec, I called American home Shield who sent them the claim again. After multiple calls to Amtec, still nothing. Stay away. And they wonder why they have a terrible rating!?

HORRIBLE!! After waiting 2 weeks for a part to come in, the Technician broke another part when attempting to install. This company has horrible customer service and is suspicious now for being scam artists. This company is being contracted through a home warranty company so the more parts they break, the more business they get. The lady that answers their phone immediately tried to say the part the technician broke was defective but comically the tech already admitted he broke it by mistake. Guess I need the contact the Better Business Bureau.

These guys are idiots. Actually took a picture of my broken appliance, said they would order the part as in agreement with American Homeshield and then swore that a handle on my dishwasher was broken off and it never came off!! Therefore it wasnt covered??? These idiots were looking at a picture of a broken plastic piece from the top of the appliance cover that their brilliant tech took.AHS sent out another contractor because they could see that Amtec was wrong. Easy stuff and they couldnt get past the broken plastic piece on my counter in the picture. Total waste of time and their technician lied to me.

We called for washing machine repair service through American Home Shield. The repairman came out and said that we needed a new timer and that he would have to order it. He asked for the American Home Shield service fee and said he would return when the part came in. I was leary about giving him my money after reading some other reviews so I called AHS and made payment through them. The part was ordered on a Friday, came in the following Tuesday and my washing machine was repaired the very next day. Despite all the bad reviews, I was very happy with the service at Amtec. The office staff was very nice every time I spoke with them and they were very efficient. I wanted to be sure and send in my positive review because I read so many bad ones. Thanks.

This organization is terrible when it comes to service. They came out and install parts for the washer and dryer that we waited almost two weeks for and both are still broken. All I can say is stay away and if AHS assigns AMTEC Services, have then assign another company asap.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. My mistake that I contacted this company. They had provided services in the past so I trusted them and reached out but now I’m regretting.My washer broke down, the technician came, inspected and said the estimate will be emailed ASAP. He even suggested that if I ordered the parts via Samsung (if the cost was cheaper), he would come and replace the parts and just charge for the labor. He charged me $45 for the inspection and said that it will be deducted from the total if I went with Amtec.I waited 3 days, calling everyday and asking for a breakdown of the estimate (I was told the total verbally) and speak to the manager or supervisor but to no avail and still no email. 3rd day I was told that they do not have a policy of breaking down the price and presenting and was transferred to the supervisors ans machine (when he was not even in the office) and held the line for 30min.Finally I called the office again from a diff phone, voiced my concern yet again and the lady answering the phone said she is only the dispatcher and cannot help in the case but has fwd the message to the supervisor to call me....whenever he can.So now I’m sitting here with a broken washer and waiting for these guys to contact me, but I can surely see my inspection money going down the drain.
AMTEC This company has been to my house around 4 times to repair my diswasher, send it by AHS warranty company. Tech came today again just took pictures and said I am finish I asked what what is the problem are u going to fixed it? He keep saying i am done may I use this door and I keep asking him are u going to fix it and he turn and left he was so rude.
