The box braids I got was the best I ever got. The length I got was way cheaper than were I used to go up the street. I came here cause my usual salon was full and the tried to charge another customer almost $20 more then what they quoted before they started. The claim cause her hair was thick and short. Please! Its called bait and switch. I realized that it was happening alot so I just left after waiting for over 45 minutes. When I got here. Auntie did my hair. She was nice and polite. The salon was calm and clean. I explained to her all I had was $160 and she showed me the chart of how long it can be. She actually gave me a little extra which she explained the chart was just a guide so you know what your paying for but they braid to that length and have the tips longer. I was happy and satisfied. Im definitely coming back

Went there for the box braids special. The ladies did it in 4 hours. The place is nice and they box braids were exactly how I wanted. Not to heavy or to big. Normally i would have paid almost 200 but got them for 170 including the hair. Mid back was the length I got and Im very satisfied. Been going there for about 2 years now. Always a loyal customer.

Great service. Braids look great and u got a lot of compliments on my Tribal braids. The braiders did my hair in about 3 hours. The price was reasonable after checking around and the cornrows were very neat. I love the way the environment was peaceful, clean, and positive. Im sure to come back.....

I usually dont do reviews but felt the need to do so. I recently had senegalese twists done. They were neatly done, however, they braiding a little too tight on the front. I had to put a warm towel on my braids to loosen them. Also, I noticed when I got home, that my twists are get frizzy in the back. Now I know my twists wont last very long especially with the frizz. Ive actually been here several times and there were no complaints. But after this experience, Im not sure if Ill be back. I would have said something at the shop but didnt notice this until I got home.

I lover the way Flo did my crochet! I have been going to this shop for over 3 years. The place is clean and organized. Sometimes free breakfast is given to customers and they have BBQ lunches free for customer appreciation. Luv this shop!

The final product the last two times I’ve been here (including this one) were/are great. The service here is also great and very personable.HOWEVER if braiders know a person has extremely thick/longer hair, I schedule an appointment well in advance as well then I don’t care what the style is, I should not be in an actual braiding salon for 12 hours. I can go to a cousin or friend who does braids for that, and I most certainly have them.Women go to salons for efficiency and experience so I’m willing to pay more. My whole Saturday has been taken because ppl were on & off my head. And for a brief moment I had two people. Appointments should take precedence and be planned for.

I called the shop after my experience yesterday and was told to come back in. When I got there I was well taken care of and I felt like customer satisfaction meant everything so my issue was rectified and today I left as a happy customer. My hair looks decent. However, I was charged for a length I didn’t get. After an unfortunate and unprofessional incident I was promised a discount, and that didn’t happen either. I can’t give them one star because there’s some good braiding going on in there, the environment just isn’t for me.

Im soo disappointed with Flo . I went there to get tree braid and Im not happy with the outcome. I was there on Thursday. I did tell her I was not happy with the outcome, not even once did she offer to make it right. I left that day unhappy. I called and spoke to management and she said I could come next day to have it fix. I did return the next day and Flo was not pleasant. She seem very unhappy and was a bit harsh on my head. She worked on it but the result was not good. I asked how much would it cost to just take the hair out, she said $50. What kind of customer service is that? So, she seemed more upset and frustrated than I was, left without excusing herself. Ive had the tree braid done before at this shop 2 years ago. The lady who worked on my hair did a fantastic job! Thats the only reason why I went back. I will not be back, Ive wasted time and money. Problem with hair is that you could see the corn row from top to back and Flo acted as she was blind. I love supporting black own business bur I will not be supporting this one.

I came at the last minute and they took me in even though they were about to close. BUt I had a simple hairstyle. I had a picture of the hair style that I wanted and they did it exactly how the picture looked.

Giving this salon 5 stars. 2nd time getting my hair done personally and my daughters been coming for about 1 year. Got fauxlocs the 1st time and individual braids this time. Took only about 4 hours to do. They gave free breakfast and the price was about $20 cheaper then all the other shops around her. My daughter is a special needs child and the staff are always patient with her and respectful. Appreciate you guys and God bless you. Thanks..

Loved the way my Goddess fauxlocs turned out. it took longer than I expecred (6 hrs) but my hair is real short and they explained to me they had to do it smaller and thinner so it would last. great place!

Got my hair done here recently. The braids were ok I was not that impressed. however I dont like the fact that the whole entire time there is loud talking between the stylist. I think its a tad inappropriate to have full blown conversations in a different language. Instead they should play music or turn the tv on. Thats very annoying to have someone talking loudly while you are getting your hair done for hours. Especially if they stop your hair every other minute to finish a conversation. Customer Service is first and most important.

Great Customer Service... Hell to the NO!! I went in for some faux locs and got stiff ass, too tight that my scalp was turning red ass things in my head.. They had only put 30 in my head and I paid $250 for it... DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.. Its not worth it and management is no help.. They wont give your money back!! PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!

After lots of research I decided to go to Mannequin. I arrived 30 minutes earlier than my appointed time and the braider was very kind and started right away. She asked how much I was told it would cost and I told her $180. She informed me that itll be $20 more because my hair was long. My hair is only shoulder length:/ This is something that shouldve been mentioned when I called to make my appointment. I did like that after the first braid she handed me the mirror to make sure I liked the size. Another lady came in awhile later and started braiding the back. I felt like her braids were much larger that what the other lady was braiding but I didnt think to ask to see (my fault). I was there for 6 hours and 85% of that time, the 2nd braider was on her phone ON SPEAKER! That was very unprofessional. When shed get off the phone with one person, shed call someone else. I also didnt like that they sectioned my hair with a metal clip instead of a comb. I like my parts straight and neat. When they were done I was handed the mirror and I was pleased with what I saw. The next morning I separated my hair in the back to see if the size of the braids were consistent with the front and sides. I was highly disappointed with what I saw. If Im paying $200 for a service, PLEASE dont rush and get sloppy and lazy in the middle and back of my head! I will NEVER go to this place again and certainly wont recommend them to anyone. I need a partial refund and not a correction because I sat way too long to go back and have to sit again. I wish I could attach a picture.

Last Monday I got my hair braided with 5 braids .. 3 days later my scalp started inching and plugs my hair start to come a loose.. I. Hair should be still in tact...it was just a waste of money....wont be going h back

Loved loved loved my Box Braids!! I made an appt via text with the owner. She let me know Auntie world be doing my hair the next morning at 9 am. Auntie was patient and nice. Usually when going to other braiding salons in always charged extra cause they said my hair is thick, long, and natural. She explained to me when getting box braids it should not make a difference how my hair is unless its extremely short were they have to take my hair smaller. For years where I was going I was being the charged $20 extra for nothing. The good thing about this place is that there is a chart with the pricing for twists and box braids based on the length you want. They also have an I take form that has the price listed. So Transparent with no surprises in pricing. My box braids were only 180 in which it was pretty long and all the braids were the same size. I for sure coming back. The new braiders that Elza put in place are the best. Professional, courteous, and experienced. I appreciated the fact thay they were NOT on the phone while doing my hair and DIDNT have full blown conversations with each other. Peaceful and professional place. The absolute worst place to go. I came here and got Senegalese twist and first off when I got there they were an hour late getting there. Finally when someone came I had to wait another 30 minutes for someone to start on my hair. The lady who started doing my hair was the owner Im assuming and she didnt know how to braid and after that one other lady start working on my head. A week after having my twist all of them in the back start falling out and they gave me a hard time with trying to fix them. This is the worst braiding shop that you can go to I wouldnt recommend no one going here or else your hair will not look good and they charge an arm and leg just for your hair to be messed up.

Very unprofessional the stylist didnt remember what service I wanted in my hair, she kept tugging an pulling my hair constantly after I told her it does hurt. They will talk about you in Creole an I understood everything they said, just poor poor service I wouldnt waste my money or time.

I wish I can rate this place with no stars... Customer service is beyond terrible. First I called and no one picked up the phone after several times of calling. So I decided to go to the shop. So I went to the shop at 10 oclock and I asked can my 4yr old daughter get her hair plaited. They lady said yes and told me to come back at 3oclock. So I arrived at 2:30pm I left my daughter and my phone number along with my oldest son to run errands. They assured me that my daughter will be in the chair at 3:00 oclock. So I come back at 5:15 assuming that my daughter hair will be finished by then or close to it. They didnt even touch my daughter head yet and she was sleep on a filthy red stained couch. So of course Im a little disturb so I asked why havent they started on her hair. They claimed my daughter fell asleep. Yet my oldest son said to me no she wasnt sleep they were putting other people before her and he said they even did their own childs head while my daughter a paying customer waited. I said she wouldnt have fell asleep in 30 minutes. So I should have left right then in there but It was late and my daughter really needed her hair done and they assured me again that their getting her in the chair. So I walked down stairs to get my phone out the car. And their was customers walking out. So I asked them how long was daughter sitting. They said awhile because she was there before me and they did both of our heads before your daughter they said. At this point Im upset yet calm. I go back upstairs to find my daughter still not in the chair. So the lady who said she will do my daughter hair goes in the back and start eating. After I waited 3 hours to get my child hair done. So I asked the other lady if she seriously going to eat and not start on my daughter hair. Crazy part is that she didnt even ask me if I mind if she eat something before she get started. At this point I was furious so I asked for the managers number. Because I knew this couldnt have been the lady I spoke to when I first called a week pior to me coming. So the lady said Iam the manager. I said no your not and she stop eating and gave me a card with the owner name. So I asked what was her name she said Sandy. So at this point she stop eating and started sweeping where we was sitting at by the couch. So this time its around 6ish. So I asked so your not going to do my daughter hair. Sandy replied NO in the most rudest way. I felt so disrespected especially after waiting for hours . I told her that she was ignorant and its people like her that makes it hard for people to support black on black businesses. It took every part of me not to slap Sandy My daughter cried because she didnt get her hair done. So I left upset and unhappy so I was determined to get my daughter hair done. So I walked in another shop called Janel African Hair Braiding Shop up the street from this shop and they took my daughter right in the chair. Although it was 7ish pm same day and late already. They still did her hair and made my daughter and myself happy.

I got senglese twist from here took about 6 hours to do which is about normal..how ever my hair didnt last long it last about 3 and a half weeks my braids kept coming out at the edges which is not cool.. they curled my ends but the lady didnt do it right...how ever this place was very Clean and they did try to do what I wanted ..how ever idk if its my fault my braids fell out because my hair was short but I wont find out cuz I wont go back...nice people hate I wasted money cuz it didnt last

I paid $80 for feeding braids and its only been a few days after and they look as if I had them in for weeks, I will not be returning I paid too much money to not be satisfied. Very clean environment though.
