Michiana Rentals was great to work with. We did a 60x60 foot tent package with them and then added some additional items. They were easy to get ahold of by telephone and it was so easy to add to our order once we realized we needed more items.They arrived a day earlier than we had originally anticipated (which was helpful) to deliver and set up the large tent, provided all the chairs, tables, dance floor and details that were included in the package. The table clothes came in bags, and I was worried they would be wrinkled. However, they had them folded nicely so all we had to do was throw them on the tables.When it came time to tear down the tent and pick it up, they were right on time and delivered excellent service. Would highly recommend booking a tent with Michiana Rentals for your party needs!

I rent from Michiana Tool Rental often. Daniel and his crew has always made me feel at home and helped out wherever they could. Their prices are the best around and their equipment is always in great shape…. I drive 20 minutes out of my way simple because I like their service. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a tool and/or equipment to rent.

Don’t get what you pay for and have to pay for what you don’t get. Very unprofessional company. Sent the wrong bouncy house, had to move and set the the house back up after they left, charged for a cleaning fee because there were grass clippings on the chairs (the tent was outside), no explicit defining of what our responsibilities were as renters. Pick up crew arrived at 7:30am the day after the party and while we were already out there folding chairs, the crew began to help. Thought this was a courtesy, apparently it was a way for them to charge me an extra $5 a table and $1 a chair. Never again, next time I’ll try Aays or Burns.

Efficient staff -- have all your papers ready at 9 a.m.Also, they have staff load and unload the equipment into your car. As a Senior wife, that helps a LOT !Lastly, the tech that loaded it for me went thru step by step on how it works- and also warned me about burning precautions.Sure wish you rented hand sanders though ....

Ive rented from these guys multiple times. Typically do not post online reviews. I was on the site looking for the return time for a weekend rental. I saw a bad review and felt compelled to set the record straight. These guys are great. Fair prices, it doesnt seem to matter who goes over the machine you are renting. They all have a great grasp of the functionality of the machine for you. They are obviously very busy in the morning, but polite considering. I try to rent everything I can from them, only go elsewhere when they dont have a piece of equipment available.

I wish I could do 0 stars. My recent rental reminded me of why I only rent from them once a year even though I live 2 miles away. Brought a skidsteer back and the owner alleged over $2000 in damages and charged my card $500 before I was even able to look At the damages he said I caused. Also as soon as you reserve your rental you have to pay it and you cannot cancel no matter what happens. But if they have issues with a machine they can cancel your reservation And you definitely don’t get a free rental when it’s ready. In the past the owner tried charging me for busted stump grinder teeth when actually it was their pockets that came loose. Do not rent equipment from here. Go to burns in Mishawaka. Michiana does not offer a damage waiver because they want to be able to charge you whatever. The owner will lie to you and say nobody offers one but other rental places do. Their loss because on Monday I was going to rent a skidsteer and stump grinder for a week while mine are being repaired. But I’ll go to burns where they don’t rake you over the coals on repairs. I’ve never been charged for a repair at any rental company. And I have over 100 invoices to prove it. In response to the owner, all rental companies love me which is why I have their personal #s. The owner called me one time I answered, I didn’t answer the second time because I was still talking to my employee to get their story. I had someone else return the machine because my truck was hooked to a gooseneck trailer. Continue your lies, it’s ok. You cost me $500, I’ll cost you thousands by making sure ppl do not rent from you. Karma sucks.

The price you pay is never what your quoted. Rented a sander for a small kitchen. Was NOT removing stain just scratches. Used 3 pieces of sand paper and ended up being charged foe 6 at $11 a piece ! This has happened before with Michiana Rentals. BEWARE

I was in the market for a post hole digger (auger) for a privacy fence building project. Not only did Michiana Rental have the right tools, they have various option to chose from. I went with an 8 bit on a two person auger with forward and reverse. I was able to pay for the rental on Wednesday and pick it up on Saturday. They quoted and charged me the one day price for the whole weekend, returning the auger first thing in the morning. What set me over the top was the fact that they willing let me borrow a trailer hitch as the truck I was riding in didnt have one attached. I highly recommend Michiana Rental for tool renting. Make sure you explain your project and theyll set you up with the right tools.

I have rented larger power tools like a stump grinder a number of times over the years. They always have solid equipment at fairly reasonable prices.

Excellent customer service!A couple of weekends ago, a stump grinder I rented broke down. The owner made good on his promise a few days later by offering to have me use a larger grinder, which worked like a champ. They also gave me a partial credit on the original rental amount which I did not expect.

Ive been renting construction equipment from all over the country for 3 years now and Ive never come across a company with such strict and ridiculous policies before. If youre in construction, you know things almost never go to plan and plans change daily. So for them to have no flexibility in scheduling and price is extremely disappointing. Then for them to refuse me business because I was nasty is laughable. If me expressing my frustration in a professional way is nasty, then I feel very sorry for them and they truly have no idea of what nasty really is. Save your time and your money and rent else where.

Ive rented from Michiana multiple times. Theyve always rented me good equipment for a good price, and they have almost any machine you could ask for.However, I was especially impressed the most recent time I rented from them. I rented a mini skid steer on a Saturday morning (to keep for the weekend). Around the time that Michiana usually closes on Saturdays, or maybe slightly after hours, I blew a hydraulic line, causing the machine to quickly loose all of its hydraulic fluid and be inoperable. I called Michiana (after hours), and they answered quickly and sent a guy out right away. He attempted to fix it on the spot, but found that it was too complicated a repair needed. So he took it back to the shop, and they literally spent almost 5 hours, AFTER CLOSING TIME, in order to fix the machine and bring it back to me so that I could finish my job over the weekend. This was all at no additional charge. Per my request, they delivered the machine right after fixing it, after 8pm in the dark. They went well out of their way, missed a whole evening, just to get the machine fixed and back to men for my project.I highly recommend them for all of your equipment rental needs.

FROM START TO FINISH THIS EXPERIENCE WAS A WIN! The company event was literally in the middle of no where and Lisa at Michiana Rental very professionally and methodically came up with EVERYTHING that we would possible need to organize a success event. Very easy to work with and the set up team did a great job even in pouring down rain and high winds. Highly recommend Lisa, her team and their superior equipment.

Pricing is fairly reasonable and they have fairly decent equipment available for your rental and use but some of the service you receive there could be better. They also deliver and pick up their equipment for a reasonable additional fee.

We used Michiana Rental for a ND graduation party. They were excellent! They were extremely professional and customer focused. Their installation and breakdown went as planned. If I ever host an event again in the area I will us Michiana Rental. Well done!

Best Rental place ANYWHERE Aaron and his staff keep gear running right fantastic variety, and late model everything. Ivam a nearly 20 year customer and HIGHLY reccomend their gear. Quality, safely maintained, and really great service to their customers. Aaron, his wife and Dad have all treated me well for years... and Vinny the adopted family member that guy is a blessing. Michigan Rental has two areas, entertainment and tools. All rental is processed at the main building on 11th street which is also IN-933. At Michiana Rental, you can rent almost anything you could want or need for a party or an event. I cant give an idea of price range for tools or event items as I have never rented from them. I can tell you, they do everything they can to ensure you have what you need for the event or project you have. For parties or events, Michiana offers tents, bounce houses, chocolate fountains, slushie machines, etc. For tool rental, they offer a vast variety of tools from simple to ditch witches. The entire staff is courteous and very polite. Any information you need, you can call Michiana Rental, or, stop in and they will help as much as possible and quote prices for all you require.

Nice new equipment. 24 hr Mechanic Service was a big help when equipment malfunctioned on a Sunday morning. They load and unload your equipment rented. Wish they had contractor pricing. I rent from here at least once a week for specialized landscaping equipment.

Not a company I would recommend. They came to our house and just took it out of our yard when my husband was at the store without our permission. But they had no problem taking our money. We were planning on renting it for another day but we will find some where else.

Terrible experience. Do not mention you “might” need anything from this company for more than 1 day. They WILL charge your credit card without your permission. We will never use them again and advise everyone to go elsewhere.Complete liar! You have Never made an attempt to call me. I called you and talked to you directly. I was charged for a full day on that Monday. Then you added 2 more days on top of that. In the end, I paid the weekly rate for my 1 day rental. Also rented a core drill specifically to drill through an 18” concrete wall for $175. The drill only goes 13” and you didn’t send any of the proper extensions to acomplish the job specified. You wasted my time and money.

Ive rented several items from Michiana Tool over the years. Not enough to be a regular but enough to say that they have always been helpful and up front about their equipment. As with any rental, you should personally check over the equipment before accepting it. When you rent a car, you check it for pre-existing damage. Same here - make sure youre satisfied with the condition of your rental before you leave.Other than this common sense logic, Ive got no complaints, other than longer hours of operation might be nice.

My understanding is that they have a reputation for renting fair at a fair price. And, that is the case for most of whom I have spoken to. However, the owner and his manager are bumptious and therefore can not take constructive criticism. After a constructive complaint about having to charge the rental on a credit card to reserve a rental, the owner took me off a reservation for a dump trailer which happened to be in high demand in the area and put me back months in completion of my project having to chase down my subcontractor for completion ... which got me into hot water with my customer (this one was for my family, so my wife).Their uncalled for action was done with verbal harassment and a condescending attitude, with owner saying “I am a multi-million dollar company and unless you own a multi-million dollar tool rental business you are not qualified to give suggestions or constructive feedback.” I said ... so the voice of the customer means nothing to you then? The owner said “no.”If you are looking for a fair price and mostly fair dealings, you are likely to experience it here so long as you keep your mouth shut and don’t offer any suggestions, constructive criticism or rebuke, because you will not be met with open reception (and you may be barred from further renting as I was, despite being decent with my comments and using proper language and no obscenities). Don’t open your mouth for any sort of comment even once - because once is all it takes here.

Rented their big diesel Verneer chipper for the weekend and it was a beast! Went though cottonwoods and pines easily! Pick up was easy and pre paying for the rental is a fair practice. Make sure you fill fuel to the brim though, Lot guy said I shouldnt trust the guage lol! It read over the full mark when I filled it and thought that was good enough. Anyways they were fair and did not charge me. Will definitely use them again.

Michiana tool rental has a very big variety of tools and equipment for many heavy construction needs I have throughout the season for my company. The vast majority of their tools are new or like new condition. BY only requiring a credit card they allow weekend warriors and DIY people to get expensive pieces of equipment that can do just about anything.

Awesome service - they were quick and friendly - set up a nice sized tent for our grad party and were prompt following morning to remove - highly recommend them for parties and or other tent needs!
