Ive been going to this ymca for quiet some time now and have never ever been refused service for no mask in a lobby with nobody else but me in there... what In the world Newton ymca. Your sports coordinator at the front desk who claimed he was a manager there Monday 3/15/21... what a shame. Several of your own workers dont even have them on🤣 absolute joke.

I tried to call several times, a few of the days in a row, for my daughters 10th birthday party. I finally spoke with the director and she got minimal info, then said a party planner would be getting back with me. Its been well over week and have heard nothing back. One of the times I tried calling I was asked if it was a graduation party and when I said no I was told Id be called back and still nothing. I thought the rex center was more family based when they were building the Ymca and they have seemed to have confirmed that with me.

Great facilities. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff.

Same rates with an hour hour less of facility usage time. And the lap pool heater had been out for at least a month.

When visiting family in the area, it is not advised that you utilize this facility. Ive visited here and worked out at this location many times however this Chritsmas it was a problem. Special note of mention, I am not a member, but my family is.Upon arrival on 12/26, 10a, i was required to show an ID, which I did not have on me. In the past, I have not been asked to show ID, after my initial visit. The staff member, first intial J, was quite aggressive with the requirement that an ID was needed to gain entry and we were dismissed.My issue is not with the requirement but the inconsistency in which the rules are applied and how they are communicated.When can Genesis Health Clubs open in Newton? Always had a great experience there. If you have a chance take the extra 20 mins and drive down to Wichita.

Best YMCA yet, as a long haul trucker I go to YMCAs all over North America. This is simply the best one yet, great equipment, lots of equipment. Very friendly staff and exceptionally clean.

Great staff and facilities. Got turned around trying to find my way there for the first time (coming from wichita... Google Maps was not correct), called up there and spoke with Nick. He was super friendly and was able to give me directions. Thanks Nick!

Enjoy the beginners yoga class, track & weight machines.

Nice staff and good equipment, but they do not take care of or clean the equipment. Half of the cable machines dont work properly, all of the cable attachments are sticky, and your shoes stick to the cardio equipment because they do not regularly clean them. The same piece of gum has been on one of the stairmaster for 6 months. As a member I wipe down the equipment before and after use, but as a business it is your responsibility to provide a safe and clean environment. It is good now but they REALLY need start a proper cleaning and maintenance program on the facility and eauipment because it is getting to the point of being disgusting.

Nice place giving it a 1 star due to the landfill of trash in the field by the north side parking lot. Change to 5 stars they pick the trash up. Thanks.

Even though the place has great equipment it is too expensive and does not hold up to the expectation of being family friendly. My daughter has 4 children ages 8 to 4 months and her membership a month is almost a $100 a month not including child corner. Expectations and child activities makes it impossible for her and her family to participate

Wonderful staff, great equipment...the only negative I have is that the hours are not great for night shift workers.

Called up there and the guy who answered was very rude! I have a membership and asked if I could bring a guest for free as it says per their website!! He kept saying no until he got on the website and saw it! He was very rude and then said”alright then we’ll let you in” THEN HUNG UP. YOUR EMPLOYEES SHOULD KNOW THESE THINGS

Well equipped brand new YMCA. Friendly staff that is always able to answer any questions you may have about your health and recommended workouts. Can be very busy around 5-7 pm during the week, so go earlier or later than that if you can.

I have only been there 2 times and neither time was the staff helpful or friendly. I see plenty of positive reviews, so I guess the people I dealt with were just having a bad day, but I personally would not go back.

I stopped coming here. The ratio of unprofessional staff to friendly has tipped the scales. This is not a great family facility. It seems to be more geared toward college aged people.
