Update: One of the owners did followup with me, and made a significant effort to take responsibility and make things right. I understand that my experience was not the norm, and will consider using their services again in the future.-----------------------------------------I am not a complainer or confrontational by nature, but the number of issues and lack of a respectable response by the company has made me find it necessary to leave a review for others considering their services. Star ratings are based on a 1-5* scale.They get 4.5* for the end product of how the new hardwood floors and refinished floors look.They get a 2* for customer service and the process of working with them. All of our issues were brought up in emails to both Debbie and Cameron, and they have had multiple weeks to address all of our issues. They corrected some, ignored others, did not offer an apology for anything, and then sent us the final bill. As of now I will not be using their services again, and would not recommend them to others.Work done:We had them tear out a brick floor, lay new hardwood where the brick was, and sand/stain 3 other existing hardwood rooms plus a flight of stairsIssues: (All brought up to management in emails.)- Brick tear out was more work than they expected, which added $718 to our final bill (we were not thrilled with this, but understood how we were responsible for paying for). This extra work included a practically nonexistent cleanup that rates as a 1*. They left debris all over our basement that took several hours to fully clean up. They offered no apology or solution for this.- They broke a baseboard. They originally requested for me to hire a carpenter to fix their mistake. I complained about this and they did replace the baseboard.- An area of stain was not taped off, and left spray/splatter marks on a freshly painted wall. They offered no apology or solution for this.- There were 2x noticeable cracks in the wood. We saw one during install, and they assured us it would get fixed before staining, which it was not. They came back and filled the 2x cracks with some filler. It does look better, yet not great.- Other cleanup. We were expecting dust from the sanding, so that was as expected. They failed to sweep our kitchen floor. We did so and picked up 10+ nails in addition to other debris. They offered no apology or solution for this.- They took a broom. Im sure this was on accident, so I brought it up and asked them to take it off the final bill, which they did.- Eating our food. Someone on their team cooked our 2x bags of popcorn and ate them. Not a big deal as popcorn is cheap. However they burnt it, and so every time we used the microwave for 2 weeks, we got burnt popcorn smell. We did not bring this up to them as an issue, as we felt it was of minimal concern. However it does show the level of respect they pay your home and its contents when you are not around.Positives:- Most employees we interacted with were friendly.- Priced a little cheaper than the other quotes we got, however after adding on the additional $718 for demo, they would have been more expensive than others.- They had good insights on stain colors for our 2 different hardwood types.People worked with:- Cameron- came out and gave us the quote. He was knowledgable, and friendly. He was ccd on our issues, and we did not hear from him.- Jeff - led the install team. Was friendly and seemed to keep his team of 4 organized.- Debbie - believe she is the office manager. Friendly on the phone; slow with responses to questions.All of our issues were brought up in email to both Debbie and Cameron, and they have had ample time to address all of our issues. I do hardwood floors and this company let me tell ya. Its top notch all the way around from products they use to the guys they have sanding and installing there floors. Very professional. Excellent show room and debbie the woman who works the front desk she is amazing!!!

We recently had Mansion Hills totally redo our first floor hard floors and add two new rooms. The work is flawless. Their crew was incredible, and their attention to detail (down to clean up, being on schedule, etc.) was very impressive. Mansion Hills Custom Floors helped us in our hour of need. Our original floor contractor cancelled on us at the last minute. We were leaving on vacation and within a day they came out and put on us on the schedule. They were very professional and did an amazing job. Our floors look amazing. We got a few quotes on refinishing our wood floors, and Mansion Hill was not only among the lowest cost, they were also the most professional, and courteous. They answered all our questions patiently and thoroughly and helped us choose the best finish for our floors. Now our floors look way better than we thought possible, and there was virtually no dust left from the sanding! Mansion Hill was recommended to us by a friend, and we will be passing along that recommendation!

We had 5 select oak, site-finished hardwood put in our home. The foyer floor finish is so bad you cant run a swifter on it. The finish is like gum. The entire 3rd floor of the house has a predominate streak of gloss finish that runs from the start of the cabinetry to the end of the cabinetry. The shoe mold install was never finished in the elevator. There are areas of stain that were not evenly applied.

We love our new hardwood floors installed by Mansion Hill Custom Floors. From beginning to end, it was a smooth process. At the start, Jeff, one of the partners, came to our house for measurements and to understand the full scope of our renovation plan. Next was Debbie who was very organized and informative with the quote and the organization of the work crews. Then Willie and Steph came in to do the tear down and install. They were meticulous and very clean on the job site. They vacuumed as they went, to cut down on the amount of dust in our home. The install of the new hardwood - prefinished Chelsea Eldorado - was beautiful. We opted for the 3.4.5 inch planks to offer some visual interest and we’re glad we did. It also has a wire brushed finish which is great to prevent and hide any scratches from our dog. They added the toe pieces to finish the look. We’ve been in our house for 18 years and now we have a new appreciation for it thanks to our new floors. I would highly recommend Mansion Hill to anyone!

We needed new floors in our living room and dining room in a 110 year old house. The area had previously been carpeted. There was a slope in the dining room. Bill Walz came out and measured everything accurately and assured us it could be done. We went to the showroom and picked out several possible woods. We chose one, and Bill ordered it. The delivery was timely and excellent. The crew installed the floors, and they look great. We had a problem later with an old hearth that we thought we could restore in the dining room. We could not, so Bill came back and helped us find a solution. That work was completed recently, and it looks great. The entire experience was excellent. I highly recommend them.

Mansion Hill did a fantastic job refinishing my hardwood floors! The people I worked with were knowledgeable and courteous, and the end product exceeded my expectations. In addition, they got started and finished the job right when they promised and it made coordinating with movers and other trades smooth and easy. Highly recommend!

We couldnt be happier with our new flooring and the professionalism and craftsmanship of everyone at Mansion Hill Custom Floors. The whole process was seamless-everything from the initial meetings with Bill, the scheduling and interactions with Debbie, to Shane refinishing the second floor hallway and Willie and Rob tearing out the old flooring and installing the new. Mansion Hill installed a quarter sawn oak floor in our remodeled powder room thats adjacent to a hallway that already had the same floor. The installation was impeccable and the custom color match couldnt have been better. GREAT JOB!

We had a great experience with Mansion Hill installing hardwood flooring in our entire first floor and second floor hallway. From the start, Bill Walz took the time to explain how they would complete the job to the detail of how second floor hall flooring would tie into the steps which was complicated. Bill was on site when the tie into the steps was done. Additionally, Bill was the only bidder that stated up front we would have to redo the kitchen floor, that was none several years ago when we renovated the kitchen, since the color has faded and would not match.All of their employees were extremely courtesy, professional and respected our home. They completed the job on time and accommodated our request to complete the job in two phases.I was not familiar with Mansion Hill and got their name through the contractor that renovated our kitchen. I am so pleased that we use Mansion Hill as their price was reasonable and the installation was great.Barry Weinstein
