Loves to not pick up our garbage cans. Everyone else in our complex gets theirs picked up but ours keep getting fuller! Love collecting garbage!

We have lived in Newport since 2013, and Thompsons Sanitary Service has always been prompt, friendly and helpful. The office staff has responded to questions immediately and followed up with great service. The truck drivers empty our bins cleanly and efficiently. The dump and recycling centers are near-by. And our yard and bio waste goes back into the once a year free top soil pick-up. Thanks! Great job!!

Have had nothing but superior service from Thompsons for the 6 1/2 years I have been living in Newport. Personnel is always courteous, helpful, and always seem to go the extra mile, particularly in exceptional circumstances. Thompsons is a well-run organization that delivers high quality service and excellent customer interactions.

Surprised to see the bad reviews of Thompson’s on google. I have had nothing but great experience with them! When I moved to East County, I kept forgetting to drop my cans at my old place on the road, they walked up and got them for me. Stellar customer service. People in the office were great. Most of the complaints on here seem to be from individuals who don’t understand how to use the internet, look at hours, or use resources prior to calling in. Not really sure how that’s Thompson’s fault. It is the only option in Newport but they do an outstanding job serving our community.

Folks at the station are nice, but its very badly laid out. It takes forever to get in and out. They never answer the phone. EVER. The times posted online are incorrect - honestly I have no idea what times they are really open for. Policies online are also incorrect. The prices for yard debris are so incredibly high, its a LOT cheaper to haul it to Eugene. Add insult to injury, they are chipping and reselling the yard debris that they are charging unheard-of amounts to dispose of.I live 2 miles away, but will be driving to Eugene or burning instead next time I need yard disposal services.

This is the third time our trash has not been picked up and the second time we have had to call. I spoke to a “supervisor” who was very rude. She told me to quit yelling at her even though I wasn’t. I was trying to explain and she kept cutting me off telling me her driver told her our trash can wasn’t out there...yes it was and it always is on Tuesday mornings. The whole time I was telling her what happened she was sighing and interrupting me. I called back to talk to a different supervisor and was sent back to her because she is the only one there??? I asked who do I call to complain about you? If I didn’t have to deal with them, I wouldn’t.

The two older women in the office are beyond rude, for being older women they have no semblance of an idea of what customer service or kindness look like. I would NOT use Thompsons if I didnt have to for SO many reasons. But in a small town with no options we do what we must. Owners - Do something about your ancient office staff, update your website to reflect office hours and differentiate between those hours and the stations drop off hours, and be fair to your customers - we are the ones that keep your business alive.

Went here to drop some glass to recycle and couldnt find anyplace to drop it. Either its confusing or it doesnt exist when its after hours.

Need to update your hours online just wasted my time on the phone just to find out your not actually open until 5
