Ive been using Poolside Jans for about two years at my beach rental house and I highly recommend them. They are easy to work with and reliable. They have never missed a service visit and always respond quickly to emails and calls. We have required a few fixes to our hot tub and Janet is great to work with. I am impressed by her knowledge of hot tubs and her low pricing. Ive read through the reviews and its a bummer if the company gets judged on a couple bad interactions. Even if the communication skills arent 100% all the time, it would be shame to write the company off all together. Give them a chance, youll be glad you did!
Service was fast, kind, and fixed all the issues with our hot tub. Highly recommend for sales and service. We worked with Jan and it couldn’t be better.
Dropped off pump for repair and never got done after 2 weeks called and they tryed to pawn me off on another company. There more of a hot tube sale place then a fix your tub place. Wont be going back unless need chemicals and most of the time there out. We definitely in need a new hot tube repair company!!
Six weeks ago I went into poolside jans in to get a heater replaced in my hot tub after two weeks I did not hear anything I ordered my own heater and I called them again they said oh that was a month ago still no word no call back from them at all it’s still two more weeks later which is a total of six weeks now I haven’t heard anything from them too bad I got another guy to do it and he did an excellent job thanks Perry you’re the man
I have used this company for years and have had to change out a couple of pumps over the years as I have an older Tub and have been VERY satisfied with Jans professionalism and her making sure I knew exactly what was going on with my tub and my options.
They are not trustworthy. Find someone else if you can.
Went to buy a filter for my tub, which i purchased from them 3 yrs. agofirst after fully shaming me for not having a mask even though i was outside their door, they proceded to tell me they were not sure if they had a filterfor my tub because my tub was an older model, its only 3 yrs. old, and now its old. then having found a filter they were going to charge me 33.00 buckswhen i paid 23.00 for the previous one there a couple months ago.found them on amazon for 15.00. so needless to say i will not be givingthem any more of my money.
These ladies SAVED me. Jacuzzi went out during peak season early during covid. Was losing thousands in booked revenue from cancellations and No one anywhere had a Jacuzzi for months at any price. Jan sold me a floor model—one of her last—just to get us back up and running. She had it delivered the next day. Been sourcing parts and support from her ever since. Would rate higher if it were possible!
I cant say enough good things about this outstanding small company. We had a number of complicated issues with our spa that we inherited when we bought a house. Through a series of diagnostic calls (that included having to reposition the spa), the issues were found, solved and we now have a wonderful like new hot tub! We also signed up for the bi weekly service which was recommended by others. The customer service from first call to ongoing service has been truly outstanding. Poolside Jans is what a small local business should be all about!
A gem on the central Oregon coast ! i have enjoyed their service for 15 years. Beat every online option I found with Marquis parts and very knowledgeable. I do my own work and recently had to have their serviceman diagnose a problem. Turned out to be a part much cheaper than expected and he had it in his truck. I own a tub made in 1998. I cannot recommend the Marquis spa, Oregon made, or Jans Hot Tubs more confidently! First rate.
I recently needed service on my Marquis Spa. Jan not only fixed my problem, but responded to my needs quickly and professionally. I have always preferred shopping locally, but am especially glad I chose Poolside Jans for my hot tub purchase!
Great folks
No star review here. They are not in the business of customer service and completely took advantage of my elderly parents. They replaced a circuit board in my parents hot tub and said it was the correct one even though only one of two spa control areas were working. Then when the spa quit working Jan sent out her Tech apprentice who tripped the power to the entire house by obviously touching something that she shouldnt have. Tech apprentice tells my parents to call the local power company and then leaves the house and never comes back. Not only is the hot tub not working, but now there is no power to the house as a direct result of this so called technician. Got the power back on in the house but the hot tub is still not fixed and now we have to call an electrician out to make sure her technician didnt screw something up in the house and then another hot tub repair company to come out and fix the hot tub which should have done a long time ago. Did I mention that my parents are elderly and the hot tub helps them with their daily aches and pains!!! Completely disgusted with this company.
They did a great job on my hot tub, quick install and friendly service.

Stopped in to ask some questions about a swim spa in the house we recently bought. She was nice enough to answer a few questions but couldn’t tell us much. We then browsed some of the pool supplies to see if there was anything we could purchase to support a local business, because we felt like we didn’t want to just get info and waste their time and the lady actually accused my bf of shoplifting!! (He had put his chapstick in his pocket)She didn’t even apologize for how rude and unprofessional that is to ask someone if they just put your merchandise in their pocket. And then having to show you their personal belongings and empty their pockets voluntarily for you. She could have at least been apologetic. Being asked something like that is really disrespectful and as a business seems really unprofessional. I would be hesitant to invest in equipment from this kind of a shop if this is how they interact with people in their shop.I understand a small business being concerned about their merchandise but to accuse someone of something like that and then not even apologize? :/
Jan of Poolside Jans Hot tubs is GREAT !! We have used her services now for 3 years.... Her shop is fully loaded with all sorts of helpful items to keep your spa free of problems... Service to my home with her reasonable rates - which includes her staff dropping by our home in Lincoln City to change out needed items, without me needing to be there!!! She just bills me, or I pay at her shop in advance! I test my pools water frequently (which is free) and all of the needed supplies so far - if you pay in cash - is 10% off (with some restrictions) !! We have had her repair our spas motor, and she had made a new cover for it... Great work on both!

Worst customer service I have received in a very long time. The woman in the store did not want to help me find the filter I needed. I guess I will take my business else where.
Reliable, supportive. When i insisted upon a model, that she shared a low opinion of, that model, showed a manufacture defect, 30 days after installation. At cost to herself, she hauled that beast away and found me a step up, better quality replacement. Thank you jane.
I cant give a higher review. Completely satisfied with entire experience. I have an older Jacuzzi in a unique location because it sits in a room built around it. Time finally took a toll and a major repair was needed or I could rebuild a deck and sunroom around a new one. Jans staff made every effort possible to do the job right, finding the right equipment for my out of date model, and keeping me informed on progress on parts and equipment arrival and next repair appointment. It was a big frustrating job, but they did it, they got it working perfectly and better than ever. Jan herself came over and stayed well beyond closing time to make sure the job was done and done right, without bleeding me dry on labor costs. We as a community are very blessed to have such a person living in out midsts.
The lady was Rude, Not knowlEdgeable did not have the filter,and she had to order it, and it took about 2weeks, and it was more expensive then any other filter in the store.

Poor to awful service. Needed repair to hot tub. Was told a part would take a week, after a month they didnt know when the part would be in. I found the part on line in 30 minutes. They told me they are routinely out 3 weeks on service calls. Then they refuse to service the hot tub.
Terrible customer service! Could never get a straight answer out of them on repairing my hot tub and charging me too much with no itemized list? And, they never answer their phones? Scanning the calls? Do not recommend them, sloppy work and never return calls!
It was horrible, they couldnt even help me figure out what wires i needed to reroute to rewire my pool pump into 115volt.
