I really like this Planet Fitness! Lots of room and the staff is always nice. And it’s always clean too.

Great location. Theyve got so much here. The cardio selection is huge. It was not crowded at all when I went. They have an app that shows you how busy the gym is if you want to go when theres less people.

Clean nice gym, The Showers are kinda dirty sometimes. Locker room is very secure. Great staff always in a joking mood. Bring your own lock unless you wanna pay 8$.

6:30am Tuesday morning workout was a little busy but still able to get to everything I wanted.Clean facilities, similar quality to other planet fitness gyms in the area. The other members seemed to be motivated and somewhat conversational with one another.

This is the very first PF that I went to. Its not as large as some of the other locations. And this is where I began my membership at. Nothing much bad to say here.

Signing up for a membership creates an auto-generated agreement with e-signatures. Cannot cancel your membership before a day or two (need to cancel well in advance - before 7 days). Auto pay kicks in automatically. All of this will be mentioned in the agreement (contract) in a very tiny font-size. I know 99% of customers dont read auto-generated agreements. 17th of every month is when your membership renews automatically. 10th is the last day to cancel. None of this will be communicated verbally with a new customer on the first day of joining.

Great equipment, great staff, great atmosphere. A great place to go and do whatever workout you want without feeling judged. Great for people who want to learn machines or get a workout routine. All memberships allow you to talk with a trainer to get you a workout for your personal goal.

Does it get any better? Honestly, this place is so inviting, zero judgement, friendly and accepting.Knowledgeable staff, clean and sanitized machines, ple ty of training materials, and everything you could want to begin or continue your fitness journey!I for one, am Planet Fitness strong!

Read the fine print yall, amazing 2 memberships of the basic $10 a month package but somehow our second month we were charged $131.** All in the second month. Amazing.

Clean gym, great variety of equipment, and super friendly staff. There has not been one time that Ive walked in there and havent been greeted by name in the past 2 years.

Im a Blackcard member but Newport is my home gym. Every time I come the staff are friendly, and at least 1 person is cleaning equipment and theres always someone at the front desk if you need coins for the massage chairs or hydro massage, tanning, etc. The restrooms are clean and well stocked as well. I like that I can come in, in old shoes and baggy sweats without makeup and no one stares, or makes me feel uncomfortable or like I dont belong. There are people from all walks of life that come to this gym i.e. young, middle age and elderly.

Really wish they had more benches and the ability to do benchpresses without hydrolics.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I stoped by around 10:30 last night to go tanning real fast. I misheard what bed they assigned to me and went to the wrong room. The right bed ended up starting before I figured out I was in the wrong room. The two gentleman on shift had a little bit of trouble getting the right bed to re start for me. Needless to say after about 5-10 min they got it figured out. I am very appreciative they did not write my issue off because it was my mistake. They treated me with the up most respect and I will be coming g to this location. Way more!

I’ve never seen any of the employees clean anything while I’m here. Lockers in the locker room have broken and/or missing doors. There is never any hot water for a shower

Had a minor issue with my account. Scott was working the night shift and he was more than helpful and fixed my problem with ease.

Masks aren’t being worn by most once they’ve checked in, walking between machines and around gym without masks. There were 2 HVAC workers that were there working, not wearing masks at all.It’s 5 stars outside of COVID, but definitely would not visit during peak times.

This is my favorite location. The staff are awesome- super welcoming and helpful.

My gym.....get there early

Judgment free is a huge draw for those of us who just want to reach our fitness goals and arent concerned with a fashion show. Everyone is there to work out, thats it. Staff us friendly and helpful, fellow members are respectful and polite. Equipment for every muscle group, plenty of treadmills, tanning and massage beds/chairs. Black card is worth it. Love this place.

The gym ended up not being for me (there are no barbells or olympic racks at Planet Fitness), but my overall experience was great. The facility was always clean, and the people at the front desk were always very nice and smiling.The assistant manager (Doug) and club manager (Sarah) are great. Great place, and great people!

Not my cup of tea as far as gyms go, but I’m not the type of person that PF is made for. That being said the facilities are great. More machines than free weights, but I love all the up to date equipment.

I want to join but the annual fee is the only thing that stopping me from joining. If the annual fee gets waived I will join. I do not even understand the annual fee, i just want to work out.

This Planet Fitness expanded in 2016 and got almost all new equipment in the summer of 2017. I cancelled the cancel anytime membership ($10 a month) at one point and it took 2 minutes. No issues. Made me happy to return when my scheduled allowed. The staff is great, the atmosphere is welcoming and clean, and equipment is sufficient. I would like to see the expanded TV channels brought back, but would still recommend this gym to anyone looking for a casual work out.

There is such a wide array of different workout machines here. They also have them massage chairs which i highly recommend trying especially after a hard workout there is nothing better! The employees are always super nice and willing to help in anyway possible. I highly recommend trying this planet fitness out if you havent already

If your gym is a pain with very little gain then checkout a Planet Fitness! I have been working-out in gyms for over 34 years and PF gyms are a refreshing change from the older style gyms. I thought they would be another overcrowded gym where I would be waiting to work-out instead of actually doing it. To my delight, there IS ample space AND equipment.

Good equipment but staff that dont do their job. Thats what you get when everyone is under 20. It makes you wonder how some of them graduated high school. Jack at Newport is a prime example.

I love this gym. The staff is excellent. They are friendly and kind. I feel welcomed every time I go there. The gym is always clean and stocked. The equipment is in fantastic shape. Like I said I love this gym.

Great place. I have been a member of Planet Fitness for quite some time now - earlier in Dallas and now, here. And the experience has been pretty much the same - very good, that means.Its a 24-hour fitness center with a large number and a variety of machines you can use. Ive been to this place in busiest of hours and is still able to find the machine of my choice. Machines are pretty clean from my experience. One thing different from the Dallas PF was that there is a TV on individual machines (cycles and treadmills), so you dont have to look very far to enjoy your favorite shows while exercising.They have this black card membership which gives you access to message chairs, hydromassage beds, tanning beds etc. But, to be honest, I didnt find them so interesting or impactful enough worth that investment. The only advantage, on the other hand, is that you get to take a guest for free along with you - but then the monthly fee is also double in case of black card membership.The washrooms are pretty neat. I havent used the showers, though, but from the outside, they looked just fine. There is a water purifier station outside the washrooms where you can fill up your bottle which is pretty handy during long workout sessions.The staff is pretty good and friendly.Overall, I find Planet Fitness pretty great to maintain a healthy workout routine.

For the most part I dont really have to wait to get on the machines other than that it is a smooth-running operation. Go down work yourself out break a sweat and feel better about yourself.

This is the most convenient location for me, though I cycle through several due to being on the road. Its a gym. It does what its supposed to. I do find the temperature in this one to be hotter than others. As a sweater, that kind of annoying.

Its a very nice location. It is a bit smaller than some other Planet Fitness gyms, but theres always a machine of some sort open, and during the rush, it seems like all the members are respectful about not hogging anything.

Tim Russell. Opened my account in Newport. Everytime Id go to the Banks in Cincinnati they would deny me. I had black card. After dealing with different management on both sides of the river and never getting anything accomplished. I closed my account. They kept blaming each other. But each time I couldnt get in the gym. I felt like neither side truly cared about the issue because it was never resolved. So I canceled business with them.

Attempted to cancel my plan WITH a medical note, and the girl said I had to pay even though I was told over the phone I did not. Clearly during that experience, I realize the girl only cared about the free candy she was chomping on. Extremely rude you would allow you staff to talk to your members with a mouth full of candy.

Plenty of weights to choose from, awesome employees, but way to many people working out there. Dont even think about going from 3:00 p.m to 8 p.m if you like to be consistent with your workout. You have to literally wait in line for weights at those times.

Friendly and clean

While working in the area I visited this Planet Fitness location and was very impressed. I have visited many locations in KY, Indiana & Florida and this location was one of the cleanest and probably the most equipped location I have been to. The locker room and shower area were amazingly clean. The staff was very friendly, I would recommend this Planet Fitness location.

Low vibration employees and atmosphere that strives to appeal to the masses, by serving pizza and candy to people trying to lose weight and improve their health. Their #1 goal is to get your bank account number on file. You can find the employees standing beside the building smoking cigarettes, at a so called fitness center. If youre serious about your health and goals, go to a real gym/fitness center that cares about more than just getting your bank account number.

I love the price, the convenience is great. Im always greeted and told goodbye and any questions are always answered with a positive attitude. Really happy I joined ! I do genuinely feel like its a judgement free environment.

I am travelling and have been in about 6 other clubs in different states. This one totally rocks. Huge floor space machines well laid out. Facility was clean and the customer service outstanding. The tanning section was enormous and although busy, very well managed. I definately enjoyed my visit.

The staff was kind and helpful. Very clean facilities. All of the equipment satisfied my needs for my workout.

I attempted to cancel my membership in May of last year, not knowing that the girl I spoke with gave me the wrong information about how to cancel. Resulting in a over due balance of 109.00 then the manager I spoke with today says you could be lying so I’m not doing anything. I was going to restart my membership but because of this, there’s no way I’ll be joining again.

Customer service has improved tremendously since I last visited (a year ago) this location. Equipment is always available, rarely am I waiting. Really a great place to get your workout in and get out. They have also added more equipment and expanded the gym in the past year.

Newport planet fitness is absolutely terrible. I had a medical emergency and moved up from Georgia and asked them in GA to cancel my membership instead they transferred it. I explained what happened I thought it was canceled and Newport tells me I have to pay 90 dollars to cancel or rejoin. Really??? There was nothing they would help me with. Sad I was trying to sign up to give them my money but this service is ridiculous. I called Florence KY they helped me so my money will go to Florence KY instead of Newport. My advice go to a different planet fitness. My stock in planet fitness will now be sold so they just lost more money. All because Newport is idiots.

Great gym for someone constantly on the go. Equipment is always up and running correctly.My only issue is the amount of traffic in and out.Every visit, I seem to deal with the same types of people. Which are the ones who seem to have the need to contact everyone on their contacts list to let them know that they are at the gym. They lift for 15 seconds, then sit on their phone for 5 mins.Definitely a headache for the ones who want to get in, get a good workout completed and get out.

I went in per the fine print to cancel our memberships and was told I have to pay what I owe for this month and the yearly fee first for both memberships, before I could cancel!!! WTF, if I had the money to pay to cancel, then most likely I wouldnt be canceling! Although this location of Planet Fitness could at least offer Jazzercise, Zumba, Yoga, something, thats the other reason we decided to cancel, not enough going on there.

Planet Fitness is a great place to go and workout. The staff is friendly and helpful and theres equipment for everything u need in ur daily workout regimen.

I go early morning and its dead here. Perfect time to work out if your not super confident.

You will find me there 5 days a week. The facility is the cleanest I have ever visited. Workers are always cleaning. They are friendly as well. Lots of cardio machines and free weights and weight machines. And it unreasonably priced.

The gym it self is very nice and the equipment is readily available- what I do not like is the work around and being lied to.Called last week as my membership dues were taken when my membership I thought was cancelled. No harm no foul- I get that my membership wasn’t fully cancelled bc of mixed communication. They said looking into my account it should be cancelled and they would process a refund and if there are any issues a manager would call. A week later I called to see about the refund- comes to find out it was never processed and never was going to be. So my question was why wasn’t I called that day or the next day about it? I had to call them- and all he could talk about was a signature. And i may not even get a refund- they have to submit a proposal. And basically was calling me a liar saying the notes say something different.Wonderful customer service.

This the only place then I rather be to work out they keep it clean all the time I recommend yall to go to any Planet Fitness Center Nationwide they do such a good job real talk I would like to you five star for me

Ive been going for a week now the workers so are so nice and have everything I need for my work out!

Clean, courteous staff, plenty of machines. Only complaint is people that have phone conversations so loud you cant block out even with headphones!

For $20 a month I can work out anytime I choose, day or night, followed by a relaxing hot shower, a visit to the tanning bed, & wrap up in the locker room, applying some make-up & hair touch ups!

So, I have hypothyroidism and finally have had enough energy to start working out again due to my medication. Started going there a few days ago. On that first day, when I went into a bathroom stall in the girls locker room, a literal piece of human excrement was on the floor. Should have been the first sign. I misplaced my medication either yesterday or today, and decided to call planet fitness to see if anything had been turned in. I was hung up on. I called back, asked why I was hung up on (not that he answered that question), finally got a no, and I hung up. Plus the staff arent particularly friendly in general whenever I go. I think Ill have to make the drive to Florence or somewhere despite this location being five minutes away from my home. If this is what to expect in only two days of going, to quote Simon Cowell, its a no from me. Oh, also, the individual who rudely hung up on me was named Ethan or Ian or something. Pretty sure it was Ethan.

I love this gym. Its got everything you could need in a gym without the d-bags ruining it by slamming weights and screaming while slamming a medicine ball against the wall. I like it here.

Went up to cancel but was charged for 2 months right as I was canceling, so I wanted to get that refunded. Simple right? Wrong. After around 6 phone calls up to the club (because the general manager Sarah did not want to call me back) the assistant GM called me back and finally refunded me the money. Not a good experience and Ill be taking my business to Crunch next time.

#thankyouplanetfitness My husband worked out too hard at this location between 1030-12am and went pale and almost passed out. I freaked out - but thankfully the staff working at planet fitness were REALLY great and got him a tootsie roll and Gatorade and helped restore his blood sugar - they were so awesome and I was really impressed.

The only free weights are dumb bells. So, not really for body builders. Great for everyone else. Especially if youre like me and need multiple locations around the Tri-State.

I love this gym itself. I used to come late at night, for several months, because the overnight staff was more friendly and the gym was not so crowded. I usually attended on weekends. They had a wonderful desk girl that started a few months before the end of last year, until just about 2 weeks ago .It would be her and one other employee. Both made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Im an older fellow, and dont get the same kindness from the younger employees, generally. All say hello and goodbye, but most dont remember my name, or ask how I am. Just in and out the door greetings. I dont know why, but that desk girl has been at some other location the last 2 weeks, and it just isnt the same .I will be attending another location now, unless I find out she returns. She was a little older than most of the employees, think her name was Elizabeth. I had never been treated kinder by anyone there. I hope she soon returns to this location. If I drive by and see her, I will be a regular there again. I asked her to transfer to Alexandria, because it was closer to me, but she stated she liked her current location. Hopefully maybe she ends up at the location nearer to me! The Alexandria gym is very nice, but very new and disorganized, as far as employees. Always different people at night, hard to get to know the folks, and makes it a little less comfortable for me. Feeling unjudged is one of the things I most look for in a Planet Fitness, and I had finally found that at Newport, but now I will have to figure out where else to go. A gym is a gym, its the personal connection with folks that I enjoyed most at Newport Planet Fitnes, until recently. Its a nice gym, but many of the employees lack the kindness and sincerity I hope to encounter. I guess one of my reasons for going, is to get out and chat with folks a bit. And, a short workout, of course.

Always clean like all the other PF in the area. The staff here should learn from the other locations and be friendlier to the customers. Especially the boys they have working there.
