I went in with a problem regarding running lights that no one else would tackle. (I literally went to 3 different Ford dealers and they all just shrugged their shoulders and said they didn’t know, even after I paid for them to look at it.) Beacon figured it out so quickly that they charged me only 1/3 of what they had estimated it would be... and the estimate was low to begin with. Honesty and caring. I tipped well, but I think I’m going to send an extra Christmas gift this winter in addition.

Great Place to get your car serviced honest reliable and fairly priced

The best place and also the most honest garage to go to on Aquidneck Island. Their rates are competitive to other garages (absolutely cheaper than dealerships) and they always get to the point of what needs to be fixed and they will show you what needs to be fixed so you will not be sandbagged on some hidden cost or hidden repair. If any complaints, is that they are extremely busy now as their reputation precedes them, however if it is an emergency they will try to see your vehicle that day if possible. Just go here to get your vehicle serviced, you will not be steered wrong.

I took my vehicle to Beacon for brake work. They inspected the brakes thoroughly and were honest about what did and did not need to be done.

Beacon Automotive saved the day! My daughter is a student at Salve Regina University which is about 2.5 hours from our home. She had a very unusual electrical issue with her car, which was making a strange sound when parked and off, and was also draining the battery. Based on Google reviews, I called Beacon Automotive - and I am SO GLAD I did!!! They were able to service her car the same day, and fixed the issue within hours. The communication with their staff was outstanding - so friendly, professional, and honest. Steve took the time to research the issue, contact dealerships - and then figured out and fixed a short in the cars wiring. The price they charged was well below what I expected to pay for diagnostics and repair. I highly recommend Beacon Automotive for Salve students who have cars on campus, and for anyone else in the area who needs a fantastic and honest mechanic. I am so thankful for their service!

Recently went in for a locked up rear caliper and oil change. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Repairs were quick and reasonably priced. Highly recommend. I will be back!

Great experience. Had a big job on my jeep. Camshaft, lifters, etc. They finished quicker than expected and for a lot less $$.

Best service evah! Recommended by a local. I called up in the morning for an emergency (of my own making). They were not sure if they could fit me in, but made it happen by 3 pm. Most understanding and accommodating. Price was way more than fair. I would only suggest that you call in advance to get seen. I was probably lucky. They are super busy and every bay was full the whole time I was there. Cant recommend enough.

I have a unique love/hate relationship with my VW, a fairly low mileage (for a diesel) 03 MK4 Golf ALH manual. Steve was also quick and honest to communicate when the work had a setback that would take more time, and his team were successful in resolving the issue. I am so happy I found this place. You will not find a better mechanic in Newport. The prices are fair and the work is always done right. My husband also takes his car here. After having a bad experience at a mechanic that is located right next to his work, he took his car to Beacon and the initial problem that was not addressed was fixed and his car was running smoothly again.
