This is my second stay at this hotel, and both times, I have been very happy. My rooms were clean, and customer service has been wonderful both stays. I will definitely return.
This was an absolute terrible experience. I am writing this honestly so no one else has to go thrown this experience. My husband was graduating from military school and being from the West coast, I knew I could not go wrong with a Marriott choice. I was WRONG. This was a terrible experience and made my whole experience with Marriott questions whether or not I should continue to use them whenever I travel. The difference from my most recent stay in Tacoma, Washington to this Marriott is NIGHT and DAY! If you are traveling from out of state I do not recommend staying at this hotel! I got to my room after a long day of traveling and the bed looked like someone had just slept on the pillows, there was hair in the shower and bathroom, floors had not been vacuumed, AND the toilet did not work! The front desk was quick to get me a new room the next floor up, which I appreciated, BUT besides the chicken wing in the hallways, tons of garbage outside of doors, and empty cases of beer bottles, I was happy to see my new room wasn’t as disgusting as my trip down the hall and previous room. The dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in, nonetheless MARRIOTT. It’s a shame. We got up to our room and housekeeping was on our floor blasting their music, eating their chips, and laughing away. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, and will not be returning my next visit.
Hotel room was clean as well as bathrooms. Check in staff very nice and helpful. Went out to dinner and after returning realized tv in room did not work. They sent someone up who tried to repair with an extra remote but still could not fix. After almost an hour I told him to send someone the next morning g. No one came so called desk and they said maintenance may or not be available on weekend but they would let me know. Option to move rooms but all of our things were out as we have two more nights. Not happy without tv.!!! No excuse as to not switching out tvs or getting maintenance. This is not a cheap hotel!
The wife and I spent the night here on Saturday night since we were attending the Family Weekend activities at CNU. The room was nice and well equipped. I got a good nights rest on the mattress which doesnt always happen when using a hotel. The bathroom could use a redo as the wallpaper was coming unglued on the ouside wall of the shower. The shower bench seat is located on the other side. The hotel doesnt offer newspapers either which was a bummer.
Hotel was beautiful. Great customer service. The front desk gentlemen, tall was amazing. Fast check in service. Definitely recommend. Only thing I wish is that that had softer mattresses.
Hotel was nice and clean. We appreciate having the conference room for our group. We specifically asked for our group to be on one floor as we have minors and they needed to be on the same floor as the chaperones. It was extremely upsetting and worrisome that when we arrived and the request was not honoured even though it was discussed prior. It was not a restful night having campers on another floor. It wasnt fair or honest.
Positive: Room are clean.. the most important! Negative: This is not a complain, its just a suggestion. Maybe Hot complementary breakfast?
Nice facility no recognition of my Marriott status. .basic stuff
They were very prepared to make your stay comfortable during these uncertain times. Great room. The cot was a full sofa beautiful sofa!!
2 stars just because the room was dirty.I unwrapped a towel and found a hair in it and there was a huge old stain in the carpet. The service though from Anthony (front desk the evening of 4/16) was great, he was sooo pleasant even though it was so late and he was super busy. He managed to check in like 4 guests and handle 6 others all with a great attitude.
Staff was nice. It wasnt bad there. I just had no microwave in my room and there was a weird smell. Idk if it was just me or what. It was clean but I think the cleaning products just smelled weird. FYI I had covid a year ago and smell is off sometimes so it could of been me. Anyway there is no hot breakfast at all due to covid. Overall it wasnt bad. Many things that lacked I guess was out of there control I guess.
Absolutely disgusting. We didn’t stay because as soon as we entered the room my son went to use the restroom and their was no water! There was dental floss on the floor and hair on the bed!We were moved to a different room (to which the gentleman at the front desk was nice about) but left because of the hair and stains on the bed!Very unsanitary!
Most importantly, my room was clean and up to Marriott standards. Was a little disappointed that there was no shampoo in my room, and when I went to front desk to request, the response was “yeah, we are completely out.” Reason, though, for 3 stars is the fact the bar / restaurant service is still not open. Time to stop using COVID as an excuse — and bring back these basic amenities.
This hotel is the worst I have seen from Marriot. Call and ask about amenities before booking or you will be disappointed. Just a rip-off!!!!
Front desk check in was great. Rooms were nice. When I booked my reservation. I did a late checkout of 1pm. The housekeeper lady knocked on our door before 1030. I informed her I had a late checkout. She told me in a rude and disrespectful voice. That I wasnt on her list. Even though regular checkout is 12 and I needed to call the front desk. I did and was told regular checkout was 12. At that point my wife and I got ready and left. As we were leaving with our bags in our hand. The same housekeeping lady asks if we were leaving. Then my wife said yes. Because the housekeeping lady had knocked on our door. The housekeeper lady proceeded to be rude snd disrespectful to my wife. We stay at lots of expensive hotel and spend good money. We have never been treated so bad in our lives. This lady needs to work on her customer service skills. Because she doesnt even know how to treat people. We will not be staying there again.
Positive: Well maintained, clean and a location convenient to the highway. The lady that checked me in gave exceptional customer service. She deserves to be recognized but unfortunately I lost her name. I really like staying at this specific hotel. Negative: N/A
Room was clean, but don’t expect decent internet. Stayed 2 nights, both nights I tried watching Netflix since the tv only gets 5 channels and they are all news channels. The first night the show finally loaded after 15 minutes and a phone call to the front desk. Never loaded the 2nd night even after 45 minutes of waiting. I called the front desk to ask if they were having anything issues with their internet and the lady said she couldn’t do anything and asked to transfer me over to maintenance. Not sure why the lady from the first night could do something but the lady on the 2nd night couldn’t? Mentioned when checking out that their internet should be check and the guy at the front desk ignored me.
Friendly staff. Meager breakfast. Comfortable beds
I booked a room on expedia for one night on June 11-12th for $220.00. Once I arrived the hotel I was told I had to give my credit card for a $200 deposit and would get it back in my account after checkout. Its two weeks later and I have yet to receive my deposit back! They have stolen my money and I will be calling my bank to dispute that charge! that is ridiculous to pay $400 something dollars for a one night stay at a hotel in NewPort News! Then on top of that the room stunk and the floor was soaking wet for some odd reason! I do NOT recommend this Hotel! They are money hungry thieves!
It is ok. I expected more from this hotel. The starbucks, cafe, pool and fitness ctr are all still closed. Even with the mask mandate lifted. Our room was hot. The ac just doesnt work well. The fridge didnt cool our drinks either. There is a bloodspot on our sheets and the sofa had trash in it that fell out, along with some food stains on it as well.
Had a slip in the tub and Corporate suppose to call me within 24 hours and I havent heard from them. I have been trying to reach them since last week and it tells you, youll have to hold for 10+ mins and once it hits 30 mins it hangs up.
Great customer service at check in but the rooms are not up to par. First my room only has sheets that I thought was a white comforter. I call the front desk the next morning and they said we have to ask for a comforter which makes no sense.. second I got the last room left so I assume it’s never sold because there is no soap in the bathroom and shower had rust. Rooms are equipped with 27-32 inch TVs that you can not see from the bed because of the angle. Room not well thought of and need to be cleaner especially during covid. I’d expect this from a $80 room. Not a room over $150. Go to the comfort in and get the same room for half the price. Or try the embassy suites whose rooms are the same price. Huge tv and most times a balcony.
I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years with no issues. As others stated the rooms are spacious and location is ideal. This was the first time I stayed during the pandemic. Sadly I was disappointed. I totally agree with minimizing contact with hard surfaces in the rooms, but some items that use to be standard in rooms are no longer present. It is as if the hotel decided we are not going to wipe down or deep clean certain items so lets just remove them. I discovered this the first night when I prepared for bed. Much to my dismay the bed just had a thin sheet and gauzy like blanket. I called downstairs and asked for a blanket and was told I could come to check-in to get a comforter. What in the world? Why arent comforters standard. I could understand extra of things like towels or pillows not being in the room, but the comforter. Needless to say I got redressed and went to get the item. The next morning I pulled out my clothes and went to get the iron that is typically in the room. Welp, not anymore so back downstairs I had to go. I also didnt feel the room was as deeply cleaned as it could have been. There was literally mildew stains in the shower area. If surfaces are being cleaned properly this would not be the case. I ended up cutting my stay short. Maybe I will try them again when we arent in a pandemic.
Nice enough....kinda pricey though
Stayed here a few times room was always clean
This Marriott is conveniently located near the Newport News airport and hidden in very quiet area. I enjoyed staying at this location but did notice some issues that could be addressed better. My two queen room was spacious and had a nice layout. Our room had no iron or ironing board, which was weird but not a big deal. My issues was that the room looked as though it needed a deep cleaning, some of the lamps had dust, and the room had a light urine smell near the front door. The shower was clean, but I think the shower head could use a bit of an update. The towels were a bit stiff but I appreciated the fact that they were nice and white. The beds were alright, but can probably be updated also as they had lost their give. The staff was very friendly and upon entering practicing social distancing by having plastic shields at the front desk and an easy card drop off station. Overall, this location is highly recommended but definitely in need of some deep cleaning and updates.
The room was very nice but the bathroom had mold in the shower. Also it would have been nice to have our room cleaned during our stay.
Positive: This courtyard is in excellent condition and since the restaurant is closed offered a few free quick items for breakfast. Negative: Even though there was coffee in the room the machine had not been returned since being removed for covid time. The bible and mormon book were missing also.
Clean room but there wasnt an extra blanket. The room is already outfitted for summer. Otherwise, very nice.
It was dirty and disgusting. There was mold all over the bathroom and the room stinks. The staff was very unprofessional especially the manager and assistant manager. I wish I could add pictures to show how dirty it is in there 0/10
I’ve stayed at this place a few times and loved it. However I just called to reserve a room and I wasn’t sure if I was calling the right hotel and I asked whoeverDEE DEE is was very rude and instead of answering my question she in a snobby voice just repeated what they all say when they answer the phones.. I don’t know if she was having a bad day but she shouldn’t take it out on would be customers.
Positive: The room was very clean and sanitized upon arrival. The hotel had taken extra steps to only provide certain items upon request to further minimize the number of times these items came in contact with others. The staff were very kind and polite. Negative: I have no complaints.
The grounds are well maintained and the staff kind and friendly. The rooms are beautifully designed and functional. The shower pressure was pleasing to me.Ill stay there again when Im in the area or an airbnb so I can have more privacy.#SupportSmall #SupportADream
Positive: Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great covid 19 precautions are in place. Negative: Room was very clean except the air vent in bathroom. It was extremely dirty and triggered my allergies when i had to use the restroom.
I don’t think I have been to any hotel with better customer service than this one here. I really thank Tami for being the best at her job. I demand she gets a raise as well as a few days off for being an outstanding human being. I will definitely be staying here every time I have more business in the area! Thank You Tami
Hotel was clean rooms were comfortable. It is rather loud being by an airport, obviously, but as an aviator lover I was in heaven!
Positive: Beautiful, clean, comfortable. Nice bed, linens and towels. Gorgeous surroundings. Negative: No.
Dddddddscusting. No blankets. Had to ask for them. Just terrible
Depends on whats ok to you... Its in a good location
Clean, reasonable price and they serve breakfast. Showers is spacious and walkthrough. So far friendly staff.
I stayed 3 nights total. Gross rooms. Hair on floors, hand prints on headboard, dirty shower, bathroom was dirty. Overall not clean. On the last night a crew came in late and ran up and down hallways screaming at 2 am until 4am. I complained and the guy shrugged his shoulders. So sad, bc I kinda held courtyard up as a higher end hotel. Never again.
Negative: Nothing special about it. Cookie cutter hotel that wont be remembered. I guess thats not a bad thing.
I should have know from the dirtiness of the lobby, that I room wouldn’t meet the standards. Makeup and hair grease smeared on the headboard, spit and toothpaste on the bathroom mirror a balloon in the drawer from previous guests, finger prints on all appliances. Lead me to check out early, the icing on the cake was the unprofessional emails I received from the manager stating how I was lying, I then sent pictures as proof then a second reply of I was lying. I don’t understand why I would lie about this and leave without the fight of a refund, I just couldn’t stay there and left. I have family and friends in this area told them all don’t let anyone stay here. Couldn’t be happier to write a review.
Positive: Location. Negative: The black mold in bathroom. Bathroom was old and dirty.
Limited services available. Small continental breakfast, restaurant closed(COVID?)
Positive: Easy in easy out Negative: Direct TV was out
Positive: Cost, location and cleanliness Negative: The computer is programmed to time out which interrupt users when conducting business
My boyfriend and I love love love this hotel. Not only for the friendly and very helpful staff but because of the whirlpool we sit and relax in, to the nice bartender, to the firepit we love to hang out at and the comfortable and spacious rooms. The hotel is beautiful to look at from the inside out! The older gentleman that does maintainance and upkeep is so so nice and courteous. check-in was easy as always. This place definitely holds a special place with us. We are forever guests here!
Worked great. Mostly clean. The carpet in our room was stained. I did not take my shoes off. Staff great, courteous and helpful. Would stay again. Covid means no breakfast or bar.
Positive: All is great just need a batter staff at night time .
Positive: Easy check in and location Negative: No resturant services
Had a great time everything was nearby didnt have to travel far employees are well informed about whats going on in the city gave great advice on places to eat in things to do
Positive: What we liked best about the hotel was the staff. Negative: The walls were thin enough that you could hear conversations and activities in the next room. The cleanliness of the room & bathroom was not the standard that weve been accustomed to when staying at the Courtyard Marriott.
Positive: The location was great! Great COVID precautions taken. Negative: Walls are paper thin. Thin blankets. Bathroom still had trash and hair from prior guest. Pillows were tiny. Not what I expected from this hotel chain.
The room was pretty big and a lot of amenities
Positive: Cleanliness and the Pricing Negative: No
Clean. Good hospitity.
Comfortable, quiet and clean. Staff was very pleasant.
Positive: It was clean Negative: I wish I would have known all amenities were closed. Couldn’t use the pool or hot tub or exercise. Very disappointed.
Positive: Room was very clean I thought until my boyfriend and I woke up the next morning with bite marks. Negative: My boyfriend and I left with big itchy red bite marks that looks like bed bug bites. I will never stay here again I can’t believe it especially with COVID going on. This isn’t my first stay with this hotel but it will be my l
When I arrived at the hotel first impression of the lobby area was good. It looked clean and tidy and there was hand sanitizer and signs for COVID hotel guidelines. The desk clerk was wearing a mask but did not greet me right away and when she did she kind of sighed. The elevator smelled like marijuana. When I reached my room first impression of the area was good. Room was spacious and appeared clean. The problem from there though was the noise from the room next door. Music and voices were loud clearly because they were having a party. My son, his wife and myself had been traveling all day, we were tired and it was 11:30 at night. I called the front desk to complain and the front desk clerk was apologetic and said they would take care of the issue. I waited for 20 minutes and nothing was done so I called again. The front desk clerk said that was unacceptable, that she would send the manager up ASAP and that was basically the last straw for the occupants of the room. I fell asleep only to find out that at 1:00 AM my daughter-in-law was woke up by loud voices and music again. She called the front desk and complained, they sent someone up again only to be told by the room occupants that it was our room that was being loud. When I checked out the next morning, I complained to the front desk clerk staff. They were apologetic and one even shook her head as I was explaining what had happened and how ticked off I was. I want to give this hotel high marks but I just cant which is unfortunate because of how things were handled with unruly next door neighbors.
I booked a suite for one night. The bathroom, specifically the toilet bowl was not clean (which I ended up cleaning with Clorox wipes). I extended my stay another night but changed suites. To my dismay, the toilet AND the bathtub was not clean! Its un acceptable for a bathroom to be partially cleaned where there is visible stuff left in the toilet and shower. While the hotel mentioned they were short on housekeeping due to the holiday, CLEANLINESS should NEVER be compromised. I dont like giving bad reviews but I had to share. Bring cleaning supplies if you stay here. Having a pleasant staff is not enough. People want a clean environment as well.
The stool set was lose, hair all over the floor and in shower, roch came from under tv. Called down for extra towels after 25 min of waiting had to go down a get myself. Bck to my room and had showered and was getting dressed for work by time house keeping came up wit the towles. Other then that it was ok.
Today I am very happy and tired in this historical triangle! This area is full of historical traces of American growth, and there are many unknown humanities! I dragged my tired body to this hotel and was about to put my mineral water in the refrigerator. I found that there was still a bottle of mineral water left by the last guest, maybe one third! I suddenly felt that this hotel impressed me very badly! As a hotel, even such obvious things as food cant be cleaned. Do you still expect them to clean up other small things? There is a clear sound of current on the desk lamp. If you are a person who is sensitive to sound or needs quiet things, this place is not for you! And there is no paper towel available in the living room!
Clean, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend.
Room was clean. Pool and fitness center were closed. Wifi signal was weak. Netflix was included but the weak signal wouldnt allow it to connect. Ok if you just want to sleep.
Great. Clean& friendly.
Terrible customer service at the front desk. Rude, dismissive and disrespectful. This hotel is not on brand with other Marriott properties. The beds are smaller than a standard king bed by at least 6 inches, even though they charge for a king room. Brought this to the staffs attention and no resolution was offered other than offering to let me leave without penalty as if they werent providing me with less than what I paid. Even went so far as to go to Walmart and purchase a tape measure, had hotel staff measure to verify and still not acknowledgement, apology, or action taken to resolve the issue. A truly terrible experience and case study on how to lose a loyal customer.
Positive: Shower was beautiful. Comforters were very clean and light, but kept us warm. Negative: Couch was a little uncomfortable. It looks way better than it feels.
Decent hotel for the money and the coffee was great. There were a few issues like no hair dryer in the room and the rooms werent cleaned daily which also meant no fresh towels or toiletries replenished.
The lady Deanna was rude as hell and very disrespectful to my kids and guest. It seems like she already had an attitude and took it out on us . I asked her for the number to cooperate she told me to go to hell smh. She identifies as older lady with grey dreads and she’s about 5’0. DO NOT STAY HERE
Positive: Cleanliness!
I Would’ve voted 0 starts but unfortunately I had to choose one. They lady Diana was very rude and disrespectful to my guest and very unprofessional. We was following all hotel policy’s and got blamed for other people behavior because they were having a party next door. This lady deserves to be terminated over her outrageous behavior to me and my guest I’ll come back and stay once she’s terminated.
Positive: The location was great. Close by major intersections. Negative: The hotel lobby and room was very hot!!! No working A/C!! No clean towels! Staff was ok but the staff could have alerted hotel guests that the a/c units were not working!
The rooms were very clean. The staff were very nice, personable, and very helpful. I will stay again.
Positive: Fantastic location across from the mall. Plenty of food options and Walmart if needed. Negative: 2nd stay at this location. Problem with air conditioning last time (my room) and this time (lobby). Room (420) was clean but had damp odor. Other guests were smoking inside hotel. Extremely loud guests near me slamming doors and talking loudly in the hall
Price is good. Room was nice. Employees, especially Zoey were awesome. That being said I feel corporate missed the boat in several areas. Zero attempt at social distancing by just shutting EVERYTHING DOWN. Couldnt even get a bottle of beer in the hotel. We handled all our own luggage...trash...food. They were more worried about labor costs than ensuring taking care of guests even under difficult situation.
They have a TV system that primarily uses the internet. It buffered every 15 seconds. Was useless to try and watch TV. Showers need to be scrubbed thoroughly. Bad for the Marriott brand.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, you want to know that if you have to travel you have a clean place to lay your head. We were in town moving our son and his wife to the area, and were very happy with our choice to stay here. Front desk staff was helpful, room was spotless and shower water pressure was great, which is always a nice convenience. Weve been carrying sanitizer and disinfecting wipes/spray everywhere we go, but I honestly feel that this hotel did an amazing job and it seemed as though they had cleaned and disinfected everything prior to our stay. The only thing we did miss is the opportunity to have the hotel breakfast, which my kids always enjoy. Even still, we will stay here for our future visits to the Newport News area.
I give this place a one star simply because I have no lower choice. At 2am I had bugs crawling on me in my sleep and had to be given another room. The staff refused my one night stay to be taken care of for my troubles. Never again.
Positive: I loved everything! Negative: N/a
Clean environment. Im a elite member the guest service agent did not acknowledge that, I did not even get an elite room key, I received a comp upgrade but the tub and sink water stopped up. I contacted the front desk but no one never arrived. I had to use the sink in the sitting room. I asked for my comp 2 pm check out they only gave me 1pm and with Covid19 it was not a full house. Also due to the restaurant being shut down guest were offered a grab and go breakfast. I never received it neither was anything set up during the times guest was informed to pick up the breakfast. Very disappointed on the service.
My stay was great, the room was huge, and the employees were friendly. The only problem I had was that I reserved a room with double queen beds a week in advance and when I got there there was only one bed. When I called to the front desk they told me that they were booked up in the double beds. If I reserved a specific type of room, I believe it should have been saved for me, especially since I paid for the room already.
I experienced complete satisfaction with my recent stay at the Courtyard Marriott Newport News location. My son is in the ARMY and is stationed at Fort Eustis. I called the day prior to make a reservation for the weekend. From the moment the staff answered the phone, this whole experience was nothing short of exceptional! I was kindly greeted at the front desk and given our room keys. The room was gorgeous and so very clean. Actually, the room was in pristine condition. EVERY employee that we came in contact with treated my family and I with respect and made sure we had everything we needed. From this great experience, I have decided to use this as our home away from home during the next 16 weeks while my son is stationed there. Additionally, our extended family will also be making reservations when they visit my son. I have stayed at a number of hotels ranging from the Ritz-Carlton to the Bellagio and at Luxurious 5-Star Resorts. Your hotel was equally as magnificent as those hotels without paying the costly room charges that they do.
The night we checked into room 210 you could smell cigarette smoke. After that I went to take a shower and a used wash cloth was on top of the shower rod. The vent in the bathroom was full of dust. There were ashes and nail clippings in the floor along side the bed. Under the sleeper sofa there was food and trash. The bed sheet had stains. I slept on top of the sheets. I only stayed one night. I did speak to the manager the following morning and he said he would make it right. This was 6-10-2020. Would not recommend unless you do an inspection as soon as you check in.
Negative: Never experiences this at this hotel or anywhere. Checkout is noon. Went to breakfast, hung out Do Not Disturb. When I returned housekeeping was in my room! DND means DND! Don’t wake me or walk in on me! DND!
Had to change rooms three times. The first room was dirty. Second room the air wasn’t working, i felt like i was melting. The third charge was our choice to see the car from the room.
Made a reservation by phone and was told that pool was open. Upon arrival was told the pool was closed. Only reason the room was booked. Also, found it weird that I had to wear a mask through the hallways even when no one was around. I can see wearing one when six feet can not be maintained but in a hall all alone is dumb! Will not stay here again.
The pillows were absolutely horrible. There was a very unnecessary long hallway when entering the room. The bed was very uncomfortable. Both my girlfriend and myself woke up in pain from the bed and the pillows. We ended up throwing the pillows off of the bed and sleeping flat on the mattress. Mattress was also very uncomfortable. The TV entertainment center was placed very awkwardly in the room. This hotel has potential in the rooms but it hasn’t been acted on yet. Bathroom was fine and clean. But the beds I can never sleep on again. Pillows were essentially the same comfort as a rolled up T-shirt.
This is the one of the most pleasant, cleanest and friendliest hotel Ive ever stayed at. The staff was super customer friendly and the look of the hotel was beautifully decorated. I would love to find out where you shopped for the tall vases and wooden stick inserts and that large round red accent decor by the elevators. :-) I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the VA area near Hampton, Virginia Beach and Newport News. 5 Stars!!!
So I had my daughters sleepover here at the hotel and the room size was great but the service was horrible.... first off there wasnt enough towels in the room and I told them there would be 6 people in the room so when I went to the front desk to ask for more they acted as though it was a problem then one of the tvs was statically like it was direct tv and breakfast stopped at 9a.m. after they told me and my wife 10a.m. so none of the kids couldnt eat breakfast.
Booked a room for Memorial Day wknd for kids basketball tournament. Very nice clean modern up to date hotel- from the fancy lobby with dining and bar area to modern rooms. Huge bathrooms with nice showers. Very comfy, plenty of space, even included small fridge and coffee maker but no microwave. Location was convenient with many restaurants surrounding hotel and a huge beautiful mall just across the street. 14 minute ride to Boo Williams Complex and 18 min drive to Busch Gardens. The pool and hot tub were clean and there was a basketball court outside for the kids to play. Nice location, great hotel, breakfast is a la cart and my kids stated it was good. Housekeepers were sweet. I opted out of daily cleaning but when I called they answered promptly and delivered fresh towels and emptied the trash. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Virginia.
Terrible. Used Covid excuse for everythingNo hair drier, low in coffee, mold in the shower, out of blanketsDisgusting Marriott. You should monitor your organizations better
Great location, great staff, clean.
Very clean had the best covid-19 procedures and protocols in place that I have seen in the Marriott and I have been in 2 Marriotts since this trip the bed was comfortable the room again was clean. I appreciate the limitations on the elevators I appreciate the sanitizing stations that were set up throughout the hotel I appreciate the ice machine not being utilized to decrease contamination. These are all good practices whether its covid-19 or the common cold so I invite all hotels to adopt these procedures and be consistent. This Marriott should teach other Marriotts how to clean their rooms and be consistent with procedures.
Initially when I came in I wanted a quiet room and they had to change it number one and they did on the spot. The second room are these pictures it was dirty and very dusty I’m gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and it was just one of those rooms that have been neglected and not used for a while. Third room was fine I haven’t slept yet I will let you know in the morning so I don’t know how comfy it is but at least it’s clean. I guess because of COVID-19 there is a very limited staff one desk clerk maintenance man who help me with all my stuff even came down to the car wonderful gentleman and then one housekeeper. So I actually went from two stars to four stars because the staff tried so very hard to make things right. And this is more to Marriott they ought to be ashamed of themselves to think That a big hotel chain like them and this is a pretty good size hotel could be run with only three people. Again thank you so much to the staff I appreciate all you do and God bless I am a healthcare worker on the road coming from Florida going to Massachusetts. The hospitality means so much thank you very much again.
