My husband lost his father in July in the middle of the night, though we where expecting it we where just the process of getting him ready for hospice care & getting funerals arrangements ready. Unfortunately we did not get that time for he died in the middle of the night & I had to make a quick discussion @ 12:30am and found Altmeyer by chance thank god I did I’ve have nothing but exceptional things to say about Kristina Krissy Byers our director of services.. She was compassionate extremely friendly and very knowledgeable of Military veterans. She set up our cremation & burial arrangements at Arlington cemetery. Keep myself & husband updated on our nightmare of trying to get a death certificate from the doctor of worst nursing home ever. She is/was a driving force on getting everything we needed & we are forever great full for her. She is amazing & a month later I know I can still call her if I need her. I highly recommend any family with a veteran or non-veteran to ask for her at Altmeyer. We are forever great full to her.Much love to Krissy !! Mr& Mrs Sadler

One larger female employee here was extremely rude and unprofessional while I was recording video for the evening news. For some reason, she approached me upset telling me to leave their private property, even though I was standing on a public sidewalk, as I told her and as the FD told her after she didnt like my answer. Ive never had a property owner/employee approach me for standing on PUBLIC PROPERTY to record some sort news video of an active story. Needless to say, even though this was the 3rd funeral home I had planned to consider having my grandparents in, they just got their business crossed off my list.

Losing a loved one is one of the hardest things in life to go through, especially losing your mom. It helps when the people you look to for help with final arrangements are caring, compassionate, and so very comforting; as was the entire staff at Riverside Altmeyer, most especially the funeral director Allison. They helped make a heartbreaking situation just a little more breathable. My mom looked so beautiful at her home-going celebration. The Altmeyer staff did a fantastic job, and it helped the loved ones tremendously seeing my mom look so good, like herself -as if she were merely sleeping. We will all lose loved ones, I pray that they all feel cherished with time God sees fit to give us. When the time comes that I need to lay another loved one to rest, there is no place I would go other than Altmeyer.

Allison Rattz was very helpful, patient, and understanding in our time of need. She is very personable and compassionate. We are very pleased with our decision to handle such a grief stricken occurrence in life with Allison and the Altmeyer funeral home family. Losing our father at such a time was devastating and its wonderful to have caring, compassionate people work with you emotionally and financially in making sure your loved ones are care of in the fashion they should be.

We couldnt have asked for a better experience after the death of my father. From the retrieval of his body at our home to the final disposition of his ashes it was as comforting an experience as we could hope for . We especially wish to acknowledge the care, concern and professionalism of Madelyn Lacey and Miranda Gomez. They took us through each step of the process clearly and compassionately. Our family highly recommends the staff and facility!

These are the most loving, caring people I have ever met. My brother had a sudden death that we hadnt expected. This funeral home took care of us along with my brother and made sure all of our needs were taken care of in the most caring way. This painful time in my life was eased by these wonderful people and we had the funeral we wanted for our loved one. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who needs their services as they will help comfort in this terrible time. I have told my family when my time comes to call them because they will be in the best hands possible.

The staff were very helpful in planning my wifes viewing. We are still waiting for the Pandemic to subside to have a memorial service.

I wish there were more stars! The entire team at this location is composed solely of professionals. I’ve never met a more dedicated and capable embalmer than Maria. I also can’t say enough about Miranda and Kera as well, I am proud to work with Altmeyer! Thanks for all you guys do for us!

Both my husband and father utilized this funeral home..my husband passed first and my mother wanted to utilize Altmeyer for my father who passed away two months later..we paid a lot of $$ for the use of their company limo that not one person ever got to ride in to the grave site..I tried to explain to the staff I was a family member when they were directing us where to park.. unfortunately my whole family were put in the line of vehicles of non family members which forced us to all drive our vehicles rather than the limo we paid for or the perseional line of vehicles would of been unable to move..l just cried while driving my truck to the grave site...I believe we paid $500 for this service & they knew not one person was in their limo yet never offered a refund at minimum for their employees errors.. unfortunately for me, my mother died two months later and I chose Parklawn...it has been a little over two years & I still think about how our family was ripped off !!

Professionalism at its best. Was well taken care of and kept in the loop from start to finish. I would recommend this funeral home to anyone in need.

This is Beth Pile, Director of Kidzngrief. I took a group of newly trained group facilitators to your place for a tour which included the crematory. They learned so much. Our grieving children in the Kidz program often ask about what happens to the body. These volunteers were treated so well and given much information on the subject of death and funerals.
