I cannot say enough positive things about Cousins Towing. Our alternator went out while we were heading home from vacation and we were stuck on the side of the road with mechanics in the area quickly closing for the weekend (it was a Saturday afternoon). Every other place we called was hours out on pickups or not answering their phone. Cousins understood our predicament and made it a point to not only get to us quickly, but send a truck big enough to transport our family to the mechanic’s, too. Our driver (Jake, I think it was) had our vehicle up on the bed in minutes and was incredibly helpful. Thanks again, Cousins Towing! You guys are awesome!

Good people..got my Yukon after water damaged the engine. Insurance gave me wrong address for the repair shop and they helped me out with finding another one quickly. Went into the shop to pick up my receipt for reimbursement and the guys there were helpful.

I needed a tow tonight from Hampton to Chesapeake, from the phone being answered to signing my name for the transaction to be completed was the best service that I believe I could have gotten. Jay was very helpful and kept my experience positive. I will recommend this company to any and everyone and will continue to use them in any future needs that I might personally have.

Called Cousins towing for a tow. Truck wouldnt stay started and they told me that they was sending someone out right away. He should be there in 30 mins. I didnt time the guy but he got there I guess in that time or a bit after. He was nice and friendly. Got my truck hooked up very fast and we was off to Denbigh body & Paint right next door to cousins towing. The tow fee was $75.00 I think. I really didnt pay attention to it. He got us there safe got the truck off and left. I had already paid him in the truck while he was driving .

My boyfriend recently had our van towed by them. He said that the driver of the tow truck was texting an driving, speeding, racing other cars, filling out paperwork, an driving in the middle of the road. When he pulled in to our apartment complex he went all the way in the back an dropped off our van. Could he have not put it in a parking space? Was those few extra minutes of maneuvering that precious to him? We had to push our van from the back of the complex to a parking spot all because he didnt want to waste his time. Theyre cheap but not good an cheap.

I had a company cancel on me last minute to pick up my 69 Cadillac Deville and these guys pulled through same day! The service from start to finish (from when I called to when the vehicle was dropped off) was just absolutely fantastic and, most importantly, professional. The driver was VERY careful when loading. If you want a business that will talk and treat you like a person call these guys, honestly. On top of the customer service, they also beat out the other rates I was quoted at. I will be calling back if I ever have any towing needs, thanks!

On Saturday I was doing some deliveries and locked myself out my car with the car running, it was a horrible experience 😩 however when I called the towing company they were very empathetic. When the tow truck finally arrived the guy who came was absolutely wonderfully funny 😄 he made the whole experience comfortable for me especially seeing how I was a woman standing outside in the cold at night. The entire service was fast and just all around 5 star. Great customer service, great company, amazing employee.

I called them after being towed by VDOT and they were comfortable and made me feel like I was being taken care of. The professionalism and way they handled making sure I understood the steps they were taking to get my truck to a mechanic was amazing. Hopefully I won’t have to get a tow again but if I do I’m calling them to help!! They were absolutely amazing

They work really quick. And prices are at a reasonable price. I am completely satisfied from my experience at cousins towing.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of letting Cousins towing tow my Ford F150 from Edsyl St. to Hall ford due to a transmission problem. During the drop off of my truck the Cousins tow truck driver damaged my drive shaft, all of which was caught on Hall Fords security cameras. After repairs were completed I contacted Cousins about the damage that cost me close to $1000.00 and requested them to reimburse me. After speaking to a very belligerent manager who had the gall to ask me why I did not give them the opportunity to tow it to their shop and allow them to fix it. He said he could have put a USED driveshaft in it considerably cheaper. I was very disappointed and upset. I took their low ball offer only because iI was tired of dealing with them and I did not any more stress in my life. Please do yourself a favor and avoid Cousins Towing and Recovery for any of your automotive needs!

I learned something new about my truck that I never knew. I learned that if you have a 4 wheel drive you should always have a flat bed tow your truck and not a wrecker because it will screw up the transfer case. Thank you Lewis for this information.

You charged me a recovery fee without giving me the chance to back the truck off the grass. Your truck never left the street. Also, a $45 clean up fee when there was nothing to clean up. The police would not let me wait for my tow truck and said I had to have you tow it. You then charged me another $80 to go 3 miles out side of NN. You literally robbed me because you could. Total of $425 for less than 45 minutes of work. You should be ashamed and I would never recommend your company.

It just took too much hassle to get my car back. I had to pay $150. The place is run down and they had the wrong information and claimed I wasnt the owner of my own car. Im glad this experience is over, it was a nightmare.

My sister had to get her car towed here. And customer service was so vile, we proceeded to record the conversation. The woman on the phone demanded who would pay her bill before giving an estimate, then the manager got on the phone after we asked to deal with someone else and let his employee fuss in the background at a customer? Who simply wanted to know why the bill was demanded before the estimate was received. Weve already decided to not deal with them ever again and attempt to take further action. You dont treat people that way first, and second you should want the business you are dealing with to be professional.

This shop was referred to me by a relative. I had an absolutely terrible experience and would never go back nor would i refer anyone. I paid them to fix my air conditioning and I had no air in 3 days took Car back and they wanted to charge me again for parts, labor and Freon. When I told them I just paid for Freon and labor a few days again the serviceman became enraged walked off while yelling at me and slamming door. Seems like he need anger management. I was disrespected by another staff member and, she stormed off. One person attempted to rectify the situation. I could tell it was a family own business because normal Ppl value their jobs and really dont want to be fired. DONT GO THERE. They will not touch my car ever!! They do bad business and customers service is out the window.

My family and I have pretty much have been helped by these folks at Cousin so much we always come back for there attention to detail and hard work. Thanks to all of you!

Give this team a chance! Went to Hall Acura for a simple state inspection and it got rejected over something petty and nonexistent. Took it here and they got me squared away, not to mention also saw nothing wrong with my for light assembly just as I had.

Awful. I will never bring a vehicle here again once I have my civic (now junk car) towed from this hell hole. Sick to my stomach I have to write this. It is lengthy but if I can help one person avoid being in a situation like this, its worth it. As the other dissatisfied customer leaving a 1 star rating, I was also referred by a relative. Been going here for over four years, no issues the first 3. Unfortunately this past year has been a nightmare dealing with this place. Brought my car in for overheating/ oil leak back in August. Paid 1100$ to get issues fixed. Was also told I had a coolant leak, but the cause of that was unknown... This being my first car, & little knowledge about warning signs of head gasket failure!!! I dont think much of it & figure I will top it off more frequently. The overheating does not stop after having the water pump replaced, & the oil leak gets worse. $1100 down the drain. I come in again complaining about the knocking under my hood and they tell me its from the old belts they replaced my original ones with. Wait...you replaced old belts, with old belts ? Ok whatever. Im getting fed up from having to come here so often by this point. Eventually the oil starts leaking 3-4 quarts within in a week. I notify them of this issue once again. Lady says the valve cover was loose, we tightened it your good to go. Coolant & oil continued to leak. White smoke was coming out of my exhaust as well. Knocking noises under the hood get louder, oil pressure light starts blinking randomly, strong sweet smell of antifreeze. Little did I know, my car was on its last days. It doesnt stop there... about 3 weeks after my last visit, i go to start my car...nothing. I have no compression. I think maybe a timing belt issue ? Call up here to ask if the timing belt was replaced along with the water pump, was told yes. Tell her my car is dead yadda ya thats why I asked.( It was the call they have been waiting for.) Im asked where my car is, I tell her I can not afford to have it towed. She says oh dont worry im just going to look at it...now whats the address? I give it to her. Phone number? She has it. A few days later the relative who referred me to this place calls me to tell me my car is dead & cousins is offering to exchange my car for total of the bill! Furious, I call up there and demand to know what the hell is going on. I end up getting an offer for 50 bucks, and no bill. I refuse, she says pay 42 and find a way to have it towed. Left with no other choice to pay the 42. To sum it up, they knew about 5 months ago the head gasket was blown & allowed stupid me to drive it until the engine was ruined. They lied about not having to worry about the tow cost. Wanted to keep my car in exchange for the bill, without even attempting to contact me about my car. Finally have to pay the towing bill I was told not to worry about to get it off the lot. Lesson learned. This place is ran by crooks. If i were to have been notified about the blown headgasket when timing belt & water pump were replaced i would have paid for new headgasket then & my car would still be running today. Please do yourself & your wallets a favor....go elsewhere!! They are few and far between but it is worth it to find a trustworthy mechanic. If you are looking for at least an OK or average auto repair shop, keep looking... do not let these people touch your vehicle.
