I have been volunteering for many years. Spending time in each area is very special and you get to know the cats. I enjoy the staff they are always very pleasant.

I had to filled 4 pages online form to make an appointment, the form looked so caring and protectable, BUT when I got there, the stuffs are not that nice and cats they show me are sick and not tide enough, not close to people. Nothing like what I want, not even qualified(the form looks better because it asked you twice about what you like...) there was a black female cat, in the office cage, I cannot even peak... I don’t know,... not too many caring and loving persons are working for cats nowadays... so sad...

I adopted my first kitty Rose a 4 month old female Orange Tabby from here today. Only 1 word comes to my mind to describe this place. Excellence. They are truly so friendly and kind and helpful and easy to talk too. Great communication = Great service and an amazing group of staff that truly care and love what they do. Rose has only been with us for a couple hours but shes super playful and affectionate and loves to play! Would recommend 10 / 10, Amazing place.

This place is amazing. The staff was super helpful and friendly. You could tell that the people working there genuinely love cats and take good care of them. Each cat that resides here gets a medical check up 1x per week and they make sure that all of their shots are updated. The place is clean and well kept. All the cats there seem to be happy and at peace in their environment. I love the fact that the staff is patient and allows you to take your time when deciding which cat you would like to adopt. I’m so glad we decided to adopt from this place. Seems to have a good cause and intension of helping animals. Highly recommend if you are a person that is looking to adopt and not shop for a cat. 🐱

Wonderful place to volunteer after one day orientation. The place is well run, spotless, and the cats receive the best of care. Children of a certain age can become volunteers with an adult. We love Nat Cat!

My mother had a cat that passed away early last year (1/2016); she misses her very much (understandably) but finally decided it is time now (4/2017) to get another cat. On a recommendation from friends, we checked out the National Cat Protection Society location in Newport Beach. We went in and they gave us so much great information about what they do. They really do wonderful things for cats, including helping feral cats become friendly enough to be adopted, taking in cats that need a new home, a cat retirement home, and so much more. Anything I write cannot do justice to what you come away with after being there, especially if you like cats. The staff is so patient with people looking for cats and they have lots of info about each cat, their history, likes, etc. My mother adopted a cat that seems like a great match for both of them. If you are a cat lover, I highly recommend Natcat in Huntington Beach!

Brooke, site manager, is an absolute joy to work with and is so extremely caring to the kitties and cats...and to the customers, also! Highly recommend adopting from the National Cat Protection Society. We did! Twice. Thanks, Brooke and staff for your incredible love for these little (and sr.) felines and for your wonderful customer service.

We took in a stray cat. Unfortunately, our own cats didnt get along with the new guest. After calling a ton of shelters we found NCPS and were put on a waiting list. They were amazing! The staff of volunteers are very friendly. The veterinarian was kind enough to show me around the facility and discuss the onboarding process for all new cats. I felt great about leaving our cat with NCPS. I highly recommend. Ill be stopping by soon to make a donation.

I adopted my kitty, Boba, here in 2009. They are a no kill shelter, and try very hard to socialize and adopt out all of the lucky little critters. The adoption fees were very reasonable; they will make sure that you are a responsible owner (i.e. Your apartment allows cats) before you can adopt; they make sure all of the little guys are fixed, microchipped, and (unless my memory is failing me) vaccinated. As of 2017, Boba is doing great, he is very happy, healthy, active and a wonderful companion. Im really grateful to have found him at NCPS.
