I had an appointment with Amber for 9:00am with Amber. I live 20 minutes away. The salon called me just 10 minutes before my appointment, as I was pulling into their parking lot, to tell me that Amber was sick. So, here’s my question. Amber surely was going to wake up at least 45-60 minutes and get ready before she was to meet me. Why didn’t the salon call me then before I made the long trek over to the salon. Why was I called only 10 minutes before my appointment?????VERY, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!I won’t be going back to Tony & Guy!

I have been going to Toni & Guy for over a decade. I adore the majority of the stylists here. as they are personable, talented and professional. However, I recently had a mishap with one of their “seasoned” stylists David. He charges significantly more than any other stylist I’ve seen and I had high hopes as I had heard such good things. Well.......let me tell you, you do not always get what you pay for. I spent nearly 2 1/2 hours in the chair with him and got one of the worst cuts I’ve ever had. I have a precision cut bob and i go in for regular trims to maintain that sleek, blunt line. What should have been a maintenance cut turned out to be a nightmare. One side is longer than the other. It’s very apparent. The back is also uneven. Not sure what to do at this point but to be patient and wait for things to grow out. I’m very sad and disappointed. My otherwise beautiful bob that I typically get numerous compliments on is a hot mess. Doesn’t do much for ones’ self esteem.

I have been a customer with Tony and guy for more than 18years lives in Paris Fr where I used them while there, then in London and in dubai and now in LA. I had an appointment last weekend for a color which I had to wait 45 minutes although I had made an appointment and once I got the color that was rushed on me I noticed that they had not even covered my greys after spending an hour doing the color. Pretty disappointing when I called and they offered to come back and redo the color.Firstly I have to find time off my work schedule to come back again and do the color again, then spend another hour getting the color done and ofcourse putting my hair through the whole process again when coloring very often is not healthy for the hair. Extremely dissapointed . I am expecting a reimbursement for my color since it was not done correctly instead of me coming back to re do it when it’s not even the customers fault. The job was not done correctly I don’t see why the customer has to bare the consequences. Very very dissapointed

Kayla booked my appointment then has no appointment like really. Salon must be run by teen kids. Had an appointment with Michael couple hours later canceled and said amiee. Then now amiee is booked, really guys. Like this is the worst salon in history. I can’t believe it. Like these people don’t know how to run a salon. Call and cancel ppl appointment every 5 min. Anyone else had this happen? Please find me if you need to do a class action lawsuit towards the salon. The more people this has happened to we can sue the salon. They had me cancel an appointment at another salon for them.Don’t think you don’t have rights. If they messed up your hair make sure you contact me.

Worst day of my life, showed a straight fringed haircut and got a frizzy disaster cut hair, spent over $300, tried everything to resolve the issue and not leave review or dispute the payment, but they offered nothing but being rude and putting blame on me choosing between kératine and Brazilian, but in the salon I’ve been told kératine and Coopela are different. This salon is ruining the Toni&Guy name forever!

Well, while I think the hair stylist was very nice and tried her best under bad circumstances, when I came for my appointment she had double booked me and someone else at the same time and was doing both our hair at the same time. Very stressful to her, very stressful to me, and stressful to the third party too.. When I got the bill it was $225 for a partial highlight and $40 just to blow dry the hair, I gave a nice tip (because I know it is rough with covid)even though I didnt really like my hair at all and it was red!!! Not blonde and the total ended up being $332.00 No hair cut. Only for partial highlights, and I had to share a stylist and be swapped to someone else constantly. I will post pictures but the color in the day is just so strange. Red and black when I asked for blonde? How does this even happen??See pictures 📷 attached. Keep in mind I had my hair cut at a different salon and the hair styling is my own after a shower and my own straightener. The only change is the hair color.

Stylists excellent but its a little crazy to pay $150 for hilites and have to pay extra $40 to have them blow dry my hair. Should b included n price. First time there because I live in Santa Monica. They did a great job on my hair even if it was more than I planned on spending. Ask for Song and Ganghi!!

Paul was a magician with the perfect coloring for me. Visiting from out of town, and first impression was amazing. He introduced me to my stylist, Song. Paul was very confident in her abilities and allowed me relax on the spot! Song did a terrific job with my unruly, naturally frizzy hair. Smooth finish that highlighted the perfect color. Excellent experience with a well trained staff from start to finish!

Lauren did an amazzing quality haircut from long to short . She was very well adversed in the most up to date technique of cutting . I showed a picture and she went right to work ... somewhat nervous .. i knew i was in great hands with her. So happy with my hair ... beautiful salon .. clean classy professional .. i am new to cali from Az -and was a toni n guy client there for 19 years ! They allways deliver quality cuts and color . Stylists are trained in the most advanced of techniques ! Thankyou lauren .. it was such a pleasure and you did such a great cut .. loving the short hair :)

This place is great overall. I love my hairdresser, but Ive definitely seen ones before that I didnt love. It is overpriced, but its hard to find good prices on hair around this area.

Not great! I phoned ahead & said I needed a blow dry with someone who has experience blow drying hair with Keratin Bonds & that I wanted a curly blow dry. Initially what I got was an inexperienced stylist so we agreed I would wait for someone with more experience.....I waited over 30 minutes & it wasn’t worth the wait (baring in mind I arrived with washed wet hair) $55 later my hair was actually worse than when I do it myself & the curls that the stylist tonged fell out within 10 minutes of me leaving the salon! I won’t go back!

Best Stylist ever!!! They cut priciliy and ON POINT! Been going their for about 20 years. I trust them more than any one...

The ambiance of the place is cute, theyve dyed and cut my hair, the color came out good but the cut was not as I expected.

Yesterday i had my Hair Cut by Lauren Finley at TONI&GUY on Fashion Island, and I absolutely loved the Cut! Was exactly what I was looking for and I will definitely be back in 4 Weeks! Thanks Lauren...You Rock!

It was mostly, very much OK.But the knucklebone washing my hair bumped my latte. Latte on my loafers now....

Yesterday I had my hair done by Rosie in T&G Fashion Island and I must say I am deeply disappointed.I know how hard it is to find a good hairstylist, how hard it is to explain what you need, so that is why I brought with me a picture of the haircut I wanted. It was a Square layer haircut from the basic T&G course that you can easily find at toniandguyeducation website.I have been a model few times in T&G academy in another country, I had this partucular haircut done twice, so I knew exactly how it should be done. I supposed everyone, that works in T&G should be able to repeat this basic haircut. Obviously, I was wrong.Rosie didn’t recognise the haircut and said to me that I had a bit shorter hair than a model on the picture. Maybe my hair was indeed a little bit shorter than models, but maybe one inch shorter, if that. I dont think, that it has anything to do with layers and shape of the haircut I wanted. Finally she cut all of my hair in one staight line and told to me that this is the only way to keep volume on the back. I dont think cutting my hair in the strait line constitutes T&G standards.It was my second visit to Tony&Guy salon in OC. First time I visited salon in Irvine Spectrum and had a haircut done by Alex there. I also was not thrilled about it, but it was not like this.I had such a wonderful experience with T&G in Europe, but here I dont think I have any positivity left to try T&G service again.

Very bad, hairdressers don’t know how to deal my hairs even after talked with them, ugly cut and soo confuses. Spent hundreds bulks for nothing . Not recommended
