Awesome time out with Capt Andy! We caught more fish than we have in quite some time. We actually got tired of reeling fish in! Tons of Haddock, cod, pollack, haike. Super fun day on the water. He goes above and beyond for his guest. Also does a really good job of teaching and educating about the fish, where to hold them, how to take them off (even though he will do that, we wanted to). We will definitely look to charter with Andy again next year!

From start to finish, Captain Andy from Adventure and Catch was a delight to work with. I bought the trip for a housemate for Christmas and had to obtain information and the gift certificate on the sly and Captain Andy was a willing participant and even helped make the presentation even more exciting!He then worked with my housemate to find and plan the perfect trip for our day out on the ocean based on what my housemate was looking to catch. I just went along for the ride thinking Id occupy myself but was thrust into my first deep sea fishing experience when Captain Andy grabbed up a pole, rigged it specifically to me (Im rather short...) and instructed me in the ways! He provided encouragement and advice the whole way and before I knew it... I was pulling in fish!Captain Andy guaranteed good fishing and success and we had it with every stop. I was impressed with his knowledge and thought process on finding a spot and also his respect for nature and its beasts even while they give their lives for our livelihood and nourishment.It was obvious quickly that Captain Andy has good relationships with other captains that frequent similar areas both when we met up with some rather fun folks on another boat that fished near by to us and shared banter across the calm waters but also in a conversation with a larger charter and the information and rapport shared between them in that short conversation.I would easily say that Captain Andy cares about the experience of each guest and conducts himself with professionalism, expertise and an easy going mentality that made this entire experience enjoyable. I would highly recommend Adventure and Catch Charters for your very first deep sea fishing experience and especially for that more private, personalized experience that you wont get on a big boat full of strangers. When were ready for another adventure, Im calling on Adventure and Catch!

***BOOK THIS TRIP ASAP***CAPTAIN ANDY IS AMAZING AND YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!He really cares about his clients catching fish and having fun, the 6 of us fit comfortably onboard and we all caught so many keepers that we lost count. We filled two huge coolers and had an amazing experience!! We saw seals, blue sharks and an 800 lb sunfish. two of us even had something very large snap our 200lb test line that we fought for a bit. (We will get them next time out though) We will surely book again and remember to tip your captain, he is awesome!!!!!

Great time and lots of fish. My son and I along with his two friends and their dads had the best deep sea fishing experience ever with Captain Andy. He knows how to find the schools of fish. I was impressed.

My wife and I enjoyed more than just fishing with Captain Andy - it was a fishing adventure. The whole process from booking to fishing was first class. Captain Andy maintained excellent communication with me. He contacted me days before to inform me that the weather forecast for the day that we booked to go fishing wasnt good. So we rescheduled for the next day. The weather and conditions couldnt have been better for a day in early May.Since it was only my wife and I, Captain Andy asked me if we would mind if another gentleman could join us. He said that he would lower the price for us (which was already at a very fair price for an 8 hour day). But it was entirely up to us. We chose to allow the gentleman join us. He was a nice elderly retired man.In regards to the fishing we couldnt have asked for a better time. Captain Andy taught us some techniques and methods and also about the equipment. He was also very enthusiastic about fishing (not in an annoying way). He constantly looked for where the fish were. He showed me what he was seeing on the fish finder - and even if fish were there but werent biting he would move on until he found a spot where the fish were biting. At first we caught a few haddock and cusk - even though the fish were there they werent biting at the rate to Captain Andys liking. So we moved on. Then suddenly my wife hooked into a shark. It took us a while to figure out what was actually on the line. Captain Andy was explaining to us the behavior of different fish when hooked (some dive straight down, some go straight out, etc.). When it became too difficult for my wife to handle Captain Andy took the rod. Then he quickly handed me the rod and said, this is what you pay me for. He then was talking me through what I needed to do. Let the rod do the work. If the fish wants to run let him run. When he stops then you reel If the fish goes to the other side of the boat you have to walk around and go to that side. When he was maneuvering the boat so as to not have the shark go under the boat he would say, Talk to me let me know where the fish is. This went on for about an hour until we landed the shark. It was a blue shark so we released it. But we had to clean off some plastic that was wrapped around it before releasing it (sign me up with Greenpeace).When Captain Andy realized the time and how we didnt have as much fish as he wanted us to catch, he basically extended the time fishing. He stayed out long enough for my wife and myself to just about catch our limit. Although the experience with the shark would have been good enough for me, Captain Andy was intent on us being able to fill our cooler.But the adventure didnt end there. When Captain Andy was cleaning the fish and his boat he had me drive (basically steer) the boat for about an hour. He showed me the instruments that I had to keep an eye on and how to stay on course. He said that if I see any buoys to steer around them (but Im quite sure he knew that there werent any buoys where we were, lol). But it was an experience that I will never forget and the video of it makes me the envy of all of my friends that I show it to.I would highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Andy. While you may not get to experience all that I did, Captain Andy does not approach booking a trip with him as if he is trying to make money off of you. Its more like he is just looking to cover the basic expenses while ensuring to fill your cooler with fish and provide you with a fishing adventure.

What great day of fishing. Exactly what I was looking for in a charter, a Capt. that knows where the fish are and and the perfect boat and equipment to catch them. Caught our own bait fresh and spent the rest of the day reeling them in, all of us hit our limit. The boat is the perfect size for our group. Not crowded with room for everyone and everything you need for a great day on the water.

Wow, what a fishing trip. We obtained our bait fish in minutes and caught fish the entire trip. The captain has a great personality and enjoys teaching about fishing and the area in general. Hope to come back! Highly recommend

My family went out for a charter with Captain Andy for my step-sons 13th birthday. The weather couldnt have been more perfect and Captain Andy knew right where to take us! First stop was to catch our bait for the day and the first line in the water immediately came up with some Mackerel. My step-daughters line came up with 5!The next stop was for the big ones. They dropped my step-sons line in the water and immediately got a hit. It came up with a Red Fish and a Cod. My step-son couldnt have been happier. We were out for around 6 hours and ended up getting just shy of 40 fish between the 4 of us and took home some Red Fish, Haddock, and Pollock. Its all in the freezer and ready to go!!I couldnt have found a more PERFECT trip than what we had. This is going to be a yearly trip from now on! Captain Andy was funny, informative, and very patient. The kids had fun and my husband and I had a blast! Ive been fishing before and have even been deep sea fishing before, but this was by far the best experience Ive had. The kids havent stopped talking about it! Captain Andy was even kind enough to make a new leader line for my step-son and let him keep it when the trip was over as a keepsake :)Thank you for a great trip and well be seeing you again!!!

Captain Andy was awesome. Spent the best day catching loads of great fish! He was very informative and knowledgeable. Spent the whole day out and it was an amazing adventure for sure! Fun, educational and bountiful. Captain Andy is very thorough with his entry discussion on safety and outlining the itinerary for the trip. He has a great personality and keeps the atmosphere light on the boat with good humor. His knowledge of fishing and the local hotspots is evident from the get-go with his first stop to get live bait. As he takes the trip from spot to spot he gives updates as to why he is heading to a certain one of his areas and what you can expect to see there, he was never wrong! We were pulling fish like I never thought possible, clearly he knows his stuff!! I would highly recommend to anyone, experienced or first timers. I’ll be back next year for sure. We had an unbelievable experience with Captain Andy. Very knowledgeable, entertaining, patient and helpful- all while guiding us to spots where we reeled in scores of haddock and cusk. All in all a one of a kind experience.

I could not have been happier with the trip I took with Captain Andy. He was nothing but helpful and the only thing he cared about was to make sure our group had a lot of fun. Andy knows the sweet spots, he doesnt follow the party boats around as some charters do, he knows the waters and where to go for a great day of fishing. Good equipment and helpful advice when needed. One of the BEST charters I have ever been on. This guy will put you on the FISH! We had fresh live Mackerel in MINUTES....(one of his secrets), and were were off to catch the BIG ones. Time we were done, we all had our limit of Haddock, a few Cusk and 10 Pollock. He even stayed out a little later for us as we were not on time on our arrival to his boat. Great day out fishing for a reasonable price, with a great captain, Captain Andy!

Adventure and Catch is a small charter-boat known as a 6 pac. The Captain - Andy was very welcoming and helpful. He took the time to go over safety and how to use the radio should anything happen. This little talk really made my family at ease and we quickly headed out to his spot for bait. And it was great getting the mackerel and my kids had a blast. From there we went 34 miles off shore and caught big Cod that we needed to toss back. But, the fish kept coming nonstop. Haddock, Hake, Pollock and Cusk all were caught. Our cooler was filled our arms were tired and we could not ask for more. Captain Andy filleted all of the fish and packaged them by species. He even gave us some recipes. I really recommend this charter. We were a group of 5 and we all had a blast.
