I have been going to compass 🧭 Auto for about 8 years now and I wont go anywhere else, theyre great mechanics and you cant beat there prices. They wont rip you off like some of the other shops in town.

Great family owned and run company. Impeccable customer service and willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done at a reasonable price in a timely manner. Cant say enough good things about their mechanic AJ. Its a little tucked away but a solid place that is my go-to, I highly recommend.

Compass Auto Works is always a fantastic experience. Randy (owner), Jake and the rest of the staff are simply tremendous to deal with. Most importantly they are completely honest and do a fabulous job on your car!!!

Cant say enough bad things about this enterprise. Brought my car in for a door repair. They destroyed my differential, and the whole side of my car. They refused to own the damage they did, cost me 18,000 and now have to hire a lawyer to seek recovery. Turns out that they are not licensed to do the types of repairs I needed.

Made the wrong decision by going to them for my auto inspection. They failed me for multiple items which for years I never had any issue and always passed. Its a pristine condition 2013 with low miles. I went back to the dealership at Amesbury Chevy and they said there wasnt any issues and some items where unnecessary judgement calls. Compass didnt bother to help me out other than tell me to call a number and contest it. Amesbury told me to come back and they would help me, I did, and I was passed in minutes. I get following state guidelines but there were clearly unfair judgement calls in addition to the lack of caring about establishing a good customer rapport.

Always great to chat with while waiting in the lobby, always explain whats going on with the vehicle in words that make sense to me, and prompt to respond to car emergencies. So glad I found a local mechanic that I can trust and be confident using and referring to others!

Quick, reliable, and extremely courteous service! I only had my car inspected at Compass but my boyfriend has had repairs done to his car here, and we are VERY pleased that weve found an honest place to count on for our vehicles :)Super clean and comfortable atmosphere, as well.
