Kelli at the front desk is amazing. She goes above and beyond to help you get answers to anything ranging from in-house activities to community events. Kelli and the other front-desk staff, at the Chehalem and Fitness Center, are very friendly and professional. They answer phone calls in a timely manner. They make coming to this gym a joy.

They have a great gym! Definitely cancel your Planet Fitness subscription and just get a pool subscription, because it covers both the pool and the gym. Definitely worth it!

I don’t mind once I’m in there, but please update already your google search info. It is incorrect. In fact, when I do call after 8pm, people are not picking up as if they are closed. Picture uploaded is the accurate information of the facility operation hours. It was incorrect on google search engine even before during the pandemic.

Very nice all new stuff new parking but you need a bit more! Good play structure for the children restrooms and staff very knowledgeable all nice and tidy.

Been going here ever since I was a kid still go to the pools in the summer the gym area is very nice and has all the equipment you need for alot of workouts

This place is a complete joke.. they had me pay over the phone for our swim never said anything about no refunds or I would have not paid over the phone .. my partner got stuck working late and couldn’t make it so this wonderful pool kept my money .. basically stealing money from people

We havent went swimming here in awhile but when we did this was our boys favorite place to go. Not sure what the rules are now because of covid but prior to cvoid this place is an easy 4 stars. They also have a great play area outside and a basketball hoop. My boys love this place.

The new pool area is complete and very nice. Lots of space, clean, bright and well run. Has something for every age so well worth a family visit. Its pretty crowded since its summer but not crazy.

This gym is owned by the city which ran the only good gym out of town.They gave them a huge amount of fees and fines shortly after the remodel of this facility. Dont go here

The water is just right, not to cold. People are friendly and the river walk was great.We make reservations on Fridays to sign up for days we want to come swim. The tank is 15 feet deep and my favorite pool to exercise in. I cant wait until next week to go swimming, again.

Best place to swim right around the Portland metro area since they are in phase 2. they are taking really good precautions regarding phase 2 Oregon State policy. highly recommended, great for families!!

Great pool! My husband and daughter and I float around the little lazy River and she plays on the big foam fire engine. There is a rock climbing wall and slide for fun ways to splash into the pool and a sauna. The life guards are vigilant. Also when the weather is good we like to bring sandwiches to the outdoor playground, which is a good one (good slides, etc.) and then go in to swim.

Top Notch Fitness and Swim Center. Three indoor pools including competition, fun, and therapeutic pools. Full basketball court with elevated running track, weight room, aerobic machines, outdoor play facility. Very very good

So happy we decided to check this place out! Very nice pool and amenities! Everything was very clean and there were things do for all ages! My 1.5 year old and I had a blast and we will definitely be back. You cant beat the price for all that is available and the fun to be had. Thank you!

Worth it. Yes the lockers and locker rooms are too small. But these pools are wonderful and the instructors Ive had for classes are great. Best water aerobics ever. The facility provides great service to so many communities. Its a great resource for people with different abilities to access WATER and be able to train, relax or exercise individually or in a class.

It was nice to be able to take my son swimming. I like how they are taking covid precautions by making reservations.

This place is great. Just renovated and my family recently moved to Newberg. Its been a big part of new lives so far. Basketball court is beautiful and they have lots of fitness classes. Pool has sensible hours for kids and adults. Plus we really enjoy the sauna. Highly recommend

Unbelievable public center!

Really really cool facility. Slot of fun water features, we were constantly moving from one area to another trying to try everything. My only complaint is the family swim hours are so limited. I think we were only alotted 1.5 hrs. I dont know what they do with the facility the rest of the day, because that area is really setup for families. We wanted to keep playing, getting shut down was the only downside of the visit.

So much fun for the almost 3-year-old, even with social distancing!

This facility is the best anywhere. Ive been to pools, this center beats the competition hands down.

Try not to change/use women’s locker room, as it is very tight and uncomfortable, especially when children and senior schedules intersect. And the lockers are tiny, for some reason. No room for gym bag. So plan to bring your stuff out to pool area. I don’t change...go in and out of the building in towel or terry robe. There are family changing rooms, but they may be full. Pools are fine, but check hours for various permitted activities; rather restricted.

Its a great place to take kids, when the kids are actually allowed to be in there. I would have given this place if five star rating however theyre operating hours that you could take children or ridiculous.

Beautiful new pool run by great staff. We are there 3 to 4 times a week for different activities. Very pleased that this facility is here, clean and safe for my kids.

It used to be a slightly trashy pool, now after all the renovations, updates and expansion, it is amazing. Everything is now top notch. It is clean and has more options and classes.The pool is big and full length, and they have a really deep pool for diving. I got a monthly pass, it was worth it.

Nice pool

All in one fitness center. Great value for the price you pay. In addition to the pool, there is also a sauna and fitness center. Membership there is competitive to the surrounding gyms in the are. The gym is a little smaller than the gyms in town but has all the essentials. Been going here since I was a kid. I recommend it.

Brand new pool with lazy river, rock climbing wall, diving boards, slide and for area! This doesnt even cover the competition side of the pool or picnic tables and lawn out back. Out front is a little park for kids to play with benches and a couple more tables. A little something for everyone.

It was pretty good, but my kids said that their rules are very strict. Unlike how the old pool was. It is an awesome place to go swim at, but the prices are pretty high! $5 for kids (under age of 13), $6.50 for ages 13 and above. But it is an awesome place to have a birthday at.

A fun place for kids and adults alike! Lots of natural lighting and even a wall that lifts up for fresh air on occasion. They are very strict about start times and to make you wait outside in a line so be prepared for that regardless of whether. They will not let you in the doors until the listed start time for swimming has come. So dont expect to be in the pool at 1 p.m. if that is when its lieted. but rather in lines to pay for swimming. If you choose to become a member or get a card with a particular number of visit paid for in advance expect to spend at least 30 minutes getting set up. I was surprised at how very much time it took to get set up and we didnt have much time to swim when we got set up with a punch card. The park on the property its a nice compliment to a swimming time it allows for Hungry kids to picnic after:) Not sure about using restrooms inside but there is a drinking fountain:)

The pool schedule makes no sense. There’s only one morning to swim with a toddler. All the other days/hours are either set at nap time or in the evening too close to bedtime. You’d think they would set hours based on when people can actually bring their small children to swim. Also compared to other places this pool is about double the cost and barely any discount if you purchase a punch card.The amenities are very nice though and my son loves the fire truck.

Great pool. Has rock wall, diving board, lazy river, whirlpool, and little kids shallow play area. Also a slide, hot tub and sauna. The locker rooms are on the smaller size, but si have family rooms. Also a park located right next to it.

Renovated and nice. The staff is friendly and quick to keep the older kids in line in the little kids section. It has been a very good visit every time my family and I are there.

Great place yo go to get excerise or thearapy. Water is warm and clean. Locker rooms are clean and easy to use. Nice staff there.

Swimming teachers are great, front end staff doesnt know how to use computers and they are slow but my biggest complaint is the water temperature.. Its just too cold for a kids pool. My kids were shivering and turning blue after 30 minutes and they arent allowed in the hot tub to warm up even with direct supervision. We payed way too much for the facility, spend a few bucks heating the water so its usable.

Pretty good. The exercise equipment is nice. The pool is super chlorinated.

This place has a small slide, a good rope-swing, and nice staff. The hot tub it fairly good sized and the pool is well sectioned out for the kids area, deeper swimming section, and the diving board section. Also has a sauna and workout room.

This new pool is amazing and parking is great too. So nice to have a separate competitive pool as well as a nice public pool. Thank you.

Only having been on the outside, I cannot speak for the inside. But outside, its great! Everything is nice and clean, and the play structure is super safe.

Family loves it. Cost a lot so hoping we as a community can take care of it.

The new pool is a disapontment. Its small, way to crowded, and good only for kids. I go to the pool to swim. Not to be elbowed by little kids while I try to stay wet in a four foot pool. Maybe if they made the swim lane pool open during public swim it would be better. But as it stands. To crowded, to shallow, and not very fun

Horrible experience. Staff is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. Went to swim laps with my fiancé wearing a lap swim suit. Had an older white male employee tell me I can’t wear my lap swim suit in here because this is a “family center” ... then goes on to tell me “ you’re beautiful but...” WEIRD. I’m I’m coming into a professional lap swim pool to get work done, let me wear the gear designed for the task. It was a fully covered sports bra top & a slim bottom. I naturally have bigger thighs being an athlete... don’t discriminate based on body type.

My girls have been taking swim lessons for the past 3 weeks and I couldnt be happier with the facility and staff.

Great remodeled facility and the swim lessons are great. We have been happy with all the instructors for our kids.

Honestly would rather rate this place 0 stars due to all of there stupid little rules and the fact that they don’t even have those rules on a sign for example the gym never says you have to be a certain age and then while we were there which I’m 13 she got mad at us and kicked us out and said we can’t swim again there and we weren’t even swimming. Not only does that loose money for them but makes me not even want to go back when we can and we have a membership. I hate this pool.

New renovation is actually quite smaller than the old pool. Focus is on the lap pool next door (in same new swim facility) that is only meant for competition swim. The public swim area however is VERY crowded with children, very shallow wading water mostly and much smaller pool for a city the size of Newberg. Hot tub always out of order, no outdoor pool...not much fun for adults with no kids. But our kids still had fun. The ladies up front at check-in desk could be a little more friendly as lots of new people come here. They seemed annoyed answering questions. Well probably go somewhere else next time.

The renovated pool is mainly for children, it’s very shallow and always full. The old building was MUCH larger and both children and adult’s could enjoy. Unfortunately the deep side was taken away and it’s not as enjoyable as it used to be. This is the only public pool in Newberg:/

Great brand new facility, but it’s a shame the staff is rude and the service below average. Newberg is a great town but it’s sad to see how they are representing it !

While it looks beautiful, its clean and could be a fun place, its NOT fun. It actually gives me anxiety because some of their pool rules are too much, but if they enforce them in a good tone and with respect it would be ok, but its the opposite, they are rude about it, arrogant and disrespectful. One of the lifeguards told my cousin your child should be your priority (the child was maybe 10ft from her). I also feel Newberg residents could get more of a discount since we are all paying for this facilities renovation with our taxes, way too expensive. Would rather drive to Sherwood YMCA.

I stopped going here as my friend and I (we are both asian) were racially profiled and called-out for doing absolutely nothing wrong but play basketball. Dont think I will ever be back... (description: caucasian male, about 70 years old, short, said he was on the board extremely rude and mean for no reason to us...)

They have a dedicated swim time for parents and young children. It is a great opportunity to teach your child to swim as we had the place pretty much to ourselves.

Nice facilities, however they dont have a regular swimming pool.

The facilities are very user friendly. There are multiple places in the leisure pool area for doing therapy work.

The swim teacher is amazing for the swim lessons! Five 🌟s for her and most of the staff.There is one older lady in the office who was extremely rude to myself and others. Swim time in the pool ends at 8:30p. She turns the lights off in the restroom at 8:30p. Allowing only 5 min for all woman, children, including a child with PTSD and 2 or more handicapped ladies to get showered and dressed and out of the entire womans dressing room. When asked to turn the lights back on she proclaimed the lights were not needed. She used cus words in front of one of my children in the dressing room and one in the office waiting. Then she threatened to lock 2 women and the 3 yr old child with PTSD in the womans restroom. I feel this behavior was completely unacceptable in a family oriented facility. No 🌟 s for this lady!

Dont go if youre above the age of 8. Its horrible. Cant wait for this place to be shut down so that I can go tagging in it.
