Tech called and asked if I had been notified about an open ticket...mystified I said no, I thought it was a CBS Now issue, some other services I stream are acting up - buffering issues Tech chuckles and told me that they had sensed issues with my service and had initiated a work order. The showed up 20 minutes later and found the line defective and replaced it in 30 minutes. Ive never been a fan of cable companies, but this proactive remote service has been impressive.
I have been paying for Spectrum services for over 4 years. I believe it to be the best but standard pricing is little high and the way of getting their services could be simpler. Their formats for adding and dropping cable programming should be as easy as Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. for customers to do on their own.The only thing a customer would need help on is the initial start in terms of getting equipment (which nowadays 3rd party equipment should be good enough.) It actually wouldnt eliminate jobs as much as one might think but actually make the customer experience better.
The gentlemen checking people in was kind of curt. They only had one person processing customers during most of our wait, which was about 40-45 minutes. When they opened up a second queue, the gal that took care of us was reasonably nice. She is the reason for 2 stars instead of one.Basically, if you go here, expect to wait and do not expect smiling, friendly faces.
VERY fast internet for about 47 minutes. Then it drops. This is consistent with the two different areas in that Ive lived. I wish there were more reputable options.
Corporate Spectrum rep told me I could return product to any Spectrum office.I found out that technically that is correct. BUT I can NOT GET ACCOUNT CREDIT.My local office accepted equipment, but could not apply credit to the account. Now I have to spend an hour on the phone to convince rep that I did return the equipment. Sigh.
We had decent service while living in the Newark area. Their techs are friendly and competent and upon going in the office to return our equipment, it was a quick and painless process.
Tyler B. Helped me out and was extremely rude. I ordered my internet access online and was told to pick up in-store at any location. Arrived and waited 5 min with Tyler to be rudely told that I had to have it shipped to me 2-3 days. Was extremely rude and said thats the way it is. I have never had a customer service employee act like that Tyler B. Avoid this location at all costs. Glad it will be at my house and I will never have to deal with these people again. Worst location.
Went to pick up my Internet equipment that I had paid for and had been told to go to any location to pick up. I asked specifically if I could go to this location and was told yes.... When I arrived at the store to pick up my equipment A man named Tyler B was helping me and he was extremely rude and told me they had to send the equipment to me. That I could not pick it up. Told me That is just the way it is Why tell someone they can pick equipment up then deny them when they get there. Now I have to wait 3 days for internet.
Outages all the time routers dont work half the time over charge dont waste your money go to Windstream we pay $80 a month to not be able to use our Wi-Fi

Entered local Spectrum store to change cable service to get price reduced. They helped with changing cable service aling with adding an additional $50 to my bill. Walked out disgusted. We have to get this company out of business by getting some real competition so they cannot violate us any longer.
Told to wear a mask, even though I clearly had a mask on. Walked in and was rudely told to go stand in the corner. Wanted to pay my bill but they said they dont take payments anymore. Then I asked about the TV internet package and was told thats only for new customers. We have been customers for years. We are paying $80 a month just for our internet. We wanted to add TV but we arent allowed to. I will be looking for a new company to deal with. I will also be the voice in this town against Spectrum. Its really kind of sad.

Very expensive. Price increases twice in 2020. Now its $75 a month for basic, standard internet. 5 years ago when they were Time Warner, my bill was $25 a month. I have to argue with them every year to bring the price down. If they keep raising it closer to $100, I will not stand for it, and will leave.

They are good what they do but it gets a pricey after your initial 12 months and if you want to switch up your plan at any point you throw out any deals that you originally had. Also its the only place I have ever applied to and gotten to the second interview and then denied the job for my one minor misdemeanor charge from 2012. Really was looking forward to working there it seemed like a good job Ive got kids now I am not the same person that I was in 2012 when I got a measly minor misdemeanor in $100 fine. I guess you got to be the best of the best

After being on hold for 2 hours and being transferred multiple times. I am a loyal customer who pays my bill that is now over 200 dollars a month. I called wanting to know if there was a cheaper package offer I can go to. I was advised I have the lowest package with cable and internet . We have one DVR no special channels. Spectrum offers their loyal customers nothing in a time of crisis. I was advised if I were to let my cable and Internet bill go due to not being able to pay the bill. I would have to wait 30 days in order to reapply for my kids to get their free Internet to do their schoolwork. Because at this time I’m a customer and I would not qualify. Looking for a new Internet provider so tired of being gouged each month with the high premium bill when I have the lowest package available from spectrum. Customer service not willing to help due to me being a loyal customer they know that they will get their money where I will be without service and at this time I need the service that they provide so I have no choice but to pay.

Entirely too long to wait. Need more staff on Saturday mornings, especially when you know its always crazy on Saturday. Two people for usually 15 or so customers consistently...
The staff were all extremely friendly, and set up of my new account only took a few minutes. I installed my internet stuff myself, and feel comfortable being a new Spectrum customer.
Ive been a customer for 15+ years. We dont pay our bills late and yet when I call because our bill was raised yet again Im told its because a promotion dropped off. Instead of punishing your clients who pay ON TIME maybe you should reward them to keep them! If you want a good deal for 12 months sign up but dont expect any loyalty or discounts for being a good customer who pays on time!!!
The wait was lengthy so if you are in a rush, just prepare to go when you ha e extra time. ( NO COMPLAINTS ON THE WAIT, just hate hearing people complain about waiting. Staff was kind and accommodating.

Usually in and out in a reasonable time but can be packed at certain times of the day. Their services are also usually good meaning theyre the only reliable internet service available in Newark, from my experience. Just recently had to cancel my services because we have nothing to use the internet.

Customer service was great. The wait was long but only because the crowd. A worse crowd than the DMV!
The touch screen sign in tablet didnt work for me so I had to speak up so that they knew I was next in line. There are 4 or 5 customer service desks but only 1 or 2 in use even when they are busy. The lobby has been updated but the service is still slow. I would like it if there was a quick drop off lane for equipment since that is all I come in for.

My bill jumped over $20 twice in less than a year and we were long time customers. The large red faced woman was incredibly rude and I was extremely happy to take my business elsewhere!! Definitely look around. Much better options!

Honestly, this is a zero star review. We moved in June and had a sells rep stop to offer free 1 month internet. Sure, ok. Received the equipment then was told $40 to activate how is it free then? So sent equipment back very same day. Now we owe $197 for services we didnt even use because even though we didnt have or use the equipment our account still showed as active as if we were still using the services. So, I ask how can we use services from a provider without said equipment to be able to use the services? Raw deal for this to be the only provider for my area
Charged me for installation twice was supposed to install my internet and cable at same time for s certain price. The guy told me if l picked up my own box l wouldnt be charged any installation fees . Instead l was charged two. His fee and a $67.50 self installation fee.. l cantt seem to get things taken care of over the phone.. l went into the hospital for a period of time so they disconnect me l, LL pay my bill after getting some of these bogus charges removed and l am going elsewhere.. much better company when they were time Warner. I am 67 year old eomy who doesnt need this headache!
Finally done with cable! The price just goes up and up and the quality and service goes down. Its a shame there is no competition in the local utilities market.
Everyone here was very helpful and courteous. I had to go here 2 times in the past 4 days for upgrade reasons and both times the wait was less than 5 minutes. The staff went above and beyond to help me and they even got my bill lowered using special promotions. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews of this place.

They are so pushy about getting people getting their mobile phone. They talk badly about my company I use. I have told them numerous time that I am not interested.
The equipment keeps breaking down. They know theyre pretty much the only game in town, so they give us repeat channels whene they font in other places.we have nothing but faulty equipment, theyre using the satellites in Columbus so since were in a valley, in a valley we have weaker signals. They seem not to care about their customers.
Lost all the channels my kids loved and Im still paying an outrageous price. Have been down to cancel my cable multiple times but cant wait in those lines with my children.
Did not like spectrum at all... too many problems... rude technicians. Will not ever be back!!!

Rebranded themselves as spectrum after all the bad press and reviews when they were time warner. Signed up for a one year promo internet price in August added spectrum choice tv in September. Called today and after being transferred numerous times and on hold I dropped the tv today in (January) was told cancelling the the tv will remove the one year promotion for the internet (oddly I was expecting this tactic). Explained the internet promo was plainly written on my bill that it was good for a year until August 2020 and after speaking to her lead said they would honor it until the clearly written and guaranteed date that I originally signed up for. I obviously cancelled both services and will look elsewhere. They make it a hassle just to cancel services and clearly they have the capability to allow you to cancel online but the website forces you to call them where they try to upsell you on their other services. Don’t work folks they will rebrand themselves in a couple of years as a new company to erase the bad press and reviews once again. I feel bad for the employees who do work here because the business ethics and practices of this company are just astounding. My suggestion to all is to just hop back and forth between the companies because the promos expire in a year or two and that’s probably the only way you won’t get swindled by these folks.

I can’t give a 0 or I would. I am so frustrated with trying to get new service at a newly built condo near Newark. I have been trying to get Spectrum installed for over 14 days. I call Customer Service daily and get the run around. I am waiting for a cable burial before they can get me service. Every day, I get: “We can raise a ticket” and “they’ll call you back within 24 hours”. 5 days into calling daily with NO results. Obviously Spectrum could care less if I am a customer.
The line was long but plenty of staff to help and got through quickly. The counter person was efficient and knowledgeable. They quickly solve my problem and had me on my way.
Products are way overpriced. You can get better deals shopping around. I laughed as two different people tried to convince me to stay, but neither could lower my bill more than a dollar a month. Split it between windstream and dish to save $40 per month. Shop around!

If you have an hour to sit and listen to everyday conversations by the employees, have at it. I listened to one worker talk to a customer about her ironing, her car tires, and her pet. All the while, eight of us sat. Friendliness is one thing, but wasting forty minutes detailing your life is silly and sad.

The developing technology is absolutely incredible however these guys are the kings of the bait and switch. We have great introductory offers and then they jack your bill three times up. The staff is friendly and works with the tools that theyre given. The place is understaffed and whoever does the schedule should be fired. Watching TV is for poor people over its difficult to live without the internet.
Well so far have waited for a week and a half to get spectrum. They keep telling us that they are going to lay cable on a certain day....doesnt happen. Once again ....we are waiting. Not good for their reputation!

Weve had the same channels for several years. Now that they went digital, we lost all channels that weve been watching. Thanks spectrum for STEALING our hard earned money. Just went in on my lunch break to return some equipment as we just canceled our service and went with Windstream since Spectrum is twice the price with HORRIBLE customer service. My experience this afternoon just reinforced my decision.I walked in and there was one person in line ahead of me. Two people working. I waited for about 10 minutes before the lady in line ahead of me was called. They asked her if she signed in on the kiosk and she said she didnt. They said they really needed customers to do that. Hearing that, I reached back to sign myself in. The kiosk froze and I couldnt get signed in even though I tried several times. A man came in behind me and couldnt do it either. A woman came in behind him and managed to get it to work.Meanwhile, a third employee came out to work and, after having already taken a customer that came in behind me, proceeded to call the woman that was third in line behind me. I said Excuse me, Im next in line. Ive been waiting here for 15 minutes. She asked if I signed in to the kiosk and I said no, it wouldnt work. She said I should have told an employee. I stated that they were all busy at the time. She basically said too bad, Ive already got this customer pulled up and youll have to wait. I pulled the modem out of my purse, left it on the counter and told them this is why Im no longer a Spectrum customer. I left. The customer service is abysmal, the prices are too high and they obviously dont have a great screening process for their employees. I will tell everyone I know not to use Spectrum. If I hadnt already canceled my service, this would have been the final nail in the coffin.

Over priced for the quality of services over all. Services went out on a regular basis. I was charged for non existent things and equipment I never had along with add on fees for every little thing. Faulty equipment. Customer service needs improvement too. I will never go back to this company. I wont over pay for poor internet service. Over priced. Never worked. Slow service. Never once got the internet speed I was charged for. Channel line up constantly changing forcing you to higher and higher packages to keep the channels you want. My first and last time i will ever use this provider. I had rather do without. Can hot spot my Verizon phone service to my smart TV and use online services at faster speeds and way lower prices.

I called to cancel my service on June 10, 2015.I was on the phone with them for 17mins, and at the end I said I wanted a reference number for the call.She said all you have to do is just call in we update it on your account.Now they are attempting to bill us for two months when we havent even used their services for.And they are saying they have no record of us ever calling on our account.Avoid them like the plague. This company is beyond crooked. I am now fighting with them for 500 dollars that we do not owe them for services we never used.If you are stuck with them. DEMAND a reference number for your call or ask for a supervisor to get some form of confirmation.THEY DO NOT update your account with the latest information when you call!
NOT ONE STAR!!! These people, at least the one who had no clue for over an hour, have no clue what the hell they are doing! First I left there one day having changed my mobile to spectrum and my phone and internet from Time Warner to spectrum thinking all was well. Over THREE AND A HALF HOURS on the phone after I realized I had no phone or internet service !!! I had to reverse the phone/internet change until they replaced my modem and that was only the beginning of the nightmare. And my phone was still on Verizon because they never changed the SIM card - which I only found out afternover a hour on the phone - they were going to send me a new one but I have no idea how to deal with that so they said I could get it fixed in the store. It took me 3 weeks before I even wanted to BEGIN it all over again and so when I tried the guy in the store had no clue and kept trying to tell me I had the wrong phone blah blah blah. An hour and a half later he has the cops escort me out and wouldn’t even give me the SIM card. I called customer service when I got home, they’re sending me one after they got to the bottom of all the insanity in 2 minutes - far better than the idiot in the store and the people he had to call for “help” could do in over an hour! These people are UNeffing believable.

Its hard to pay for tv channels and dont get what you wanted in first place cuz they wouldnt work with you even though you pay your bill on time. I couldnt pay the increase price now I have a lot of cartoon channels I dont need or watch.. Im on a fixed income they couldnt care less.For $2.00 more I pay on my 2nd mortgage. This is not right to me. They want too much for cable.
This is the worst location I have ever been to. This is the worst place to ever go and I would Recommend driving to another location. My gf cancelled our internet and I setup a new account. Everything was all good, Spoke to someone on the phone they gave me a number to get my equipment and It was all good. When I show up to return my equipment a woman pulled the guy helping us out and said we can’t get internet because I was there earlier today trying to do it all in store. Upon the guy coming back out he said we can cancel our service and leave without equipment or keep in my gfs name. I have spoken to many workers on the phone and every time they said she was wrong. The building refused to let me have the equipment (already in my name and account set up) because my gf had a bill that we cancelled. All because we live together they said I can’t have internet in my name even after she cancelled. This is the worst place to go.
When I got there, there were 2 customers being helped and 1 waiting. Only 2 employees waiting on people and 1 left as soon as she finished her customer to go in the back. I signed in, as did 3 other people behind me. While we were waiting, a woman came in and did not sign in. She just stood there. As soon as the employee came out of the back, this woman hurried up to her. Instead of telling her she needed to sign in and wait her turn, just like the rest of us, she helped her ahead of us! If that wasnt bad enough, I was standing next to them and heard the woman say she knew she shouldnt have jumped in front and the woman helping her, just smiled at her and shrugged her shoulders to indicate she was ok with it. Nice. Considering I was the next in line, it wasnt ok with me. Very poorly trained or just didnt care. I do care and hope someone lets her know how rude and inconsiderate she was.

Was watching the spongebob marathon on Nicktoons and been watching it for the last 2 days without trouble and then bam, black screen, but all other channels work, I must have watched that channel to much, this anti the first time nor the first time i called spectrum about this issue, but every time I call they gave the same excuse, we are experimenting blackout on several networks, but every other channel works,
