The drivers on our particular route are nice and take whatever you put out. Ownership and office staff on the other hand are seemingly out of touch with reality. Customer service, heaven forbid you have an issue that needs resolved, is absolutely nonexistent. Even when you show them how hard they dropped the ball with their operations, they will refuse to admit any short fallings and ignore any solution to remedy the problem that you present. Up to and including offering to pay for an “extra service”. It’s is honestly comical at this point.

Adkins lost a long time customer today over a real life Karen. Her attitude was absolutely inappropriate, the drivers were lazy and didnt even try to move the can they seemed too heavy. Its far to easy to start new service, Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

The men that run my route is always nice and polite. I saw obe drop something glass and it shattered all over the road. He took such great care cleaning it up. Ive seen other companies just pull away and leave messes along the road. Thanks for being a spot above the rest!

Great customer service! Friendly staff that goes beyond the norm. My collie always looks forward to their arrival each week as she gets a biscuit from the driver. My previous driver was training new workers and he was sharing the “biscuit treat” service. Last week they were out of biscuits, and I wasn’t home when they picked up this week, but when I pulled up to my house, they had taken the time to walk up to my house and left 3 biscuits on my front porch. Such a thoughtful, generous thing to do. Thanks guys!

After several missed and late pickups over the course of 6+ months, I finally canceled service. Then the other company I was using went out of business. So I decided to give Adkins another try. But the lady refused to re-start my account for me because I was going to be moving and would likely only need service for 2-3 months. She stated they dont do short-term service and hung up on me. Why would it matter how long I use them, if Im paying upfront??

Very fair and excellent trash removal company. They have always been pleasant and professional. 100% better than our last company.

I love the guys on the truck they do their job great! But every time I receive a bill it seems to go up from 51, to 54 now 60. All within a year! I need raised like that.

EDIT: Changed to three stars. 3 price increases per year hurt, but their service is still excellent. Never a single problem in 2 years.2 price increases within the last 12 months. Last year the price was $51 for 3 months. Then April 2018 they increased it slightly to $53 for a 3 month premium. And now I got a bill for $60 per 3 months. So thats a $27 increase per year. If they keep increasing the price Im going to start burning my own waste and cancel.

I am a rental property owner who started off using Adkins for my duplex. During the year of service they dumped my totes on a routine basis. At the end of 2018, I purchased a 4 unit building next door to my duplex. I opted to use a 3 yard container from adkins to cover all 6 units. However, at least once a month I have to call them because the container was not dumped as scheduled. I pay for my services 1 year in advance and am getting seriously tired of having to call them to get them to do what I have paid them to do. Also, I dont want to hear oh the drivers truck was full, we will get you tomorrow. Im not the last stop on his route or even close. Theres no way his truck is full by noon. There is always some reason as to why it wasnt dumped when it is suppose to be. Just dump the container one the schedule I paid you to dump it.

Started new service on january 7th paid 2 months in advance (decent price) and my trash has yet to be picked up? i have called 4 times and told they will pick it up.... not sure if this is a regular thing but as a NEW customer its not a good look

Adkins is Cheaper than any other services in Newark and the Lady answering the phone on a holiday (MLK Day)was very nice! I would recommend them!

Great service, had a few issues early on with the service, but it was corrected. The increase is understandable, but still the cheapest around.

I dont use Adkins for our service but maybe we should. He got out of his truck and walked down our dead end road, around construction to pick up a customers trash. Now thats going above and beyond.
