I started my family childcare business in Newark, NJEverytime new clints went to the Newark office to submit an application, my clients were informed that l was not licensed and were given a list of other facilities on their master sheet. Not l am so furious after the sixth mother told me this that l called a lawyer to litigate. I see this as discrimination against my African decent and spite.Severally l have not received any payments. While trying to get the machine for clock in, l was given so much run around until COVID hit.Disappointed 😞

Had a bless when I called the Programs for Parents requesting more information and help with the documents needed. Sarah Barbosa was the person who helped me to get through it. She was very kind and supportive. I am glad that she was the one who answer the phone. For my lucky, she speaks Portuguese, making easier to understand the process. I am Thankful for all her help!

This place is AMAZING! The staff is phenomenal. As a single parent it means the world to have your help and even more that the people, the women put you at ease. I’m stressed 90 percent of the time. These amazing people have the biggest hearts in the world. I just declared that that entire team is blessed beyond measure. I’ve spoken to many of them and have felt true peace after hanging up! There’s a nice girl that does the orientation with the dreads - I wish I remembered her name but she is beautiful inside and out! Today in particular I spoke with Monique and she almost made me cry because she was so kind and so patient! I just I love you guys and you’re changing lives - you have no idea how much you do! Omg Ms Tonia Washington was the extreme best at all she has done for me and my boys. I spoke with her 1st back in July about my little boy. Now i just had a case with my husband son soon after and it was closed this October. So much happened with the case closing to not being able to have him in current school. So with all going on for me the life saver Tonia has been has warmed my heart. She is someone is GREAT & LOVE HER WORK. never once did i not hear a smile in her voice. Every time that I call or come in personally the customer service by far has been beyond excellent. Everyone is so polite, helpful and fast. I had the worst experience with programs for parents I apply for both of my daughters on August the 28 they approve one but not the other one even though I brought both of their birth certificate so I had to apply for my second one again I brought the application myself on October the 7 in the front desk and now they telling me I bring the application on the 11 I have to wait 10 days and I know I brought it on Monday the 7 at 10:30 am check the camera and see if I am lying. I spoke to mrs Francesca she was nice enough to send me the application I did everything she told me to do but I still haven’t heard anything from them. Does it take more than 10days or not?

10 years ago, I needed childcare for my first child and Mrs.Sharon Grant from 50 S.Clinton St, East Orange NJ helped me out with childcare providers. Now 10 years later with my 2nd child, she has done an outstanding job in helping me get adequate childcare for both of my children. Very helpful, actually listens and pays attention and wont lead you wrong or give misleading information. Im happy I was blessed to have someone who actually cares and is willing to help.

Programs for parents is not the same anymore the new staff they have now doesn’t know what they are doing. I been with them for 4 years imagine yourself you go there for 2 months seeking for help with childcare but you still waiting for approval. The customer service agent they are not nice especially Stephanie every time they transfer me to customer service I hang up having her she is not answering my question I even ask to speak with a supervisor or a manager she’s telling you they are not here. I had a called from programs for parents for my daughter to ask to bring a proof of address and I did bring one on October 7 they still ask me for another one a week later I don’t know if they lost it but I know for a fact I brought it. On October 15 I received a called at 3:30 for a proof of address and I brought it 30 min later I did to trip to programs for parents same day I went to my daughter school for the provider to sign and they telling me I have to wait another 10 more days after waiting for 2 months are u kidding me. Is this what u get when u asking for help. They look like they don’t know what they are doing because if they do people wouldn’t be struggling and keep begging for help. I did everything they ask me to do and I still staying without getting any help I am done calling if they want to give it to me that’s on them but I am telling u it’s better if u work double for childcare expense because it will make your blood pressure go high 4 years with them and this not my worst experience that’s why I give one star but I have no choice if I could give zero I would. The worst!!!!!!!!!

This is NOT an option everywhere and without programs like this it is incredibly difficult to get by with kids.
