Rented a high end mountain bike to take my beginner daughter out on the local single track trails for the first time (a nice bike makes it much easier and more fun for them!). Everything was in perfect working condition, and the friendly and helpful mechanics set the suspension pressures to the riders weight and explained everything. She had a great time and is now a MTB convert!

I thought I needed just a Schrader-Presta adapter to use my pump, but the guy here dropped what he was doing and showed my how to switch my pump over to Presta, then he proceeded to air up my tire for me. I didnt end up needing to buy anything and their attention, expertise, and service were exemplary!

Bought a new bike from another source (I know, I didnt know what I didnt know). Brought it to them to put together. They had it together and ready for pick up in just a couple of hours. Spent another hour going over it with me, fitting me for a helmet and more. Cant say enough about how great and helpful they were. Theyll be my go to shop and one day, I too will ride a Trek.

From start to finish the entire process of tuning and cleaning up our bike: new pedals new chain tons of rust mess - literally it was a lot. It needed the works - Trekk & Dann made it seamless. Dann was absolutely the best. Not just knowledgeable but so friendly - very welcoming. Aces all around.

The products are amazing, but what sets you apart are the people in your store! We worked with Elliot to purchase our sons first dual suspension MTB. Not only did Elliot thoroughly explain all the details of the bikes and how they would help with our sons riding style... but Elliott (and the rest of the staff) went the extra mile to help us plan a surprise unveiling of the bike for our sons birthday! I even called them looking for a bike part and they gave me some advice and recommendations and had the parts ready for me to pick up when I arrived. Trek Newark nailed it for me. Ive been looking for this bike all over south jersey and everyone was saying october or even november for it. Finally found Newark, they had one in the box, squeezed it in for a build up, and I was able to pick it up. The build was tight, shifting was real smooth. My son loved it. Were BMX people and he didnt even know what the benefits of gears and suspension were until today. He just loved the speed, hill climbing, all that good stuff. Newark made it happen for me today and I really really appreciated it. Thanks so much. It was perfect for my taller 7 year old. We went to our local trails and he was climbing like a champ. The grip style shifter was great for someone learning to shift

I came in to get a single tire fixed. Not only did who was helping me on the phone get the price wrong and get my hopes up in the store.The guy trying to help me in the store was bound to get me to spend as much as a I could. I tell him the second I walk in I didn’t have a ton of money. He’s trying to fix my entire bike even though I didn’t request that. And I was almost certain I would get a $50 discount from an associate then boom that’s turned down by the guy that’s trying to do all this work on my bike for no reason.

The staff I interacted with were all very nice and helpful. They took the time to look at my sons scooter to see if they would be able to change the flat tire. They were able to and had it finished the same day I brought it in. They even adjusted the valve stem on the other tire so that a pump extender would be able to be screwed on to it so I could pump that tire. I would definitely recommend Trex Bicycle of Newark for repairs and I will certainly return there if I need repairs on our bicycles or the scooter and if we need to make bicycle or accessory purchases.

Superb service with friendly staffs!I cant be happy anymore because I bought the perfect e-bike for my wife!I called several places near my area including Trek bike store in Rockville MD and everyone told me that Ill have to wait until Jan, 21 for the models Im looking.This place had one last in stock so I asked a gentleman named John to keep it for me(since Im living from 2hrs driving distance) and I even told him Id pay some deposit over the phone.He said I dont have to pay any deposit, he would save the bike for me so just swing by and pay in full at the store.That was Thursday afternoon and I told him Ill be there on Saturday but changed my mind so visited yesterday.Unfortunately, I couldnt meet John due to his day-off but he really kept the bike with my name on it!! What an amazing service!!The person Bruno who helped me to purchase the bike is also very friendly as well!I left some tips to John before I came out! Wish he could have free lunch today :DThank all of you guys!! You guys are so awesome and just made my wife super happy!!!

I dealt with two different guys (Ben was the main salesperson and the one I had the most interactions with) when I came in to get bikes for my family on two separate visits. They spent so much time answering questions and had a solid grasp on all their products. They were helpful to me, my wife and my seven year old daughter. They were not pushy... just really really helpful. It was such a good experience that I don’t want to go anywhere else for the foreseeable future. I really appreciate how I was treated and the products themselves. We have the whole family mountain biking now!

Recently bought a Wahoo Kickr trainer from Newark Trek. Great experience. They had a demo unit set up, the salesperson took a lot of time with me to explain the products features, and ultimately they had one (hard to find right now). Very happy.

Over the last month Ive been dealing with Trek Bicycle Newark regarding the ordering and purchasing of a new bike. This has involved communication by email, phone, and socially-distant in-person visits. The interactions with every single person at this store have been on an above-and-beyond level of service. On the day I picked up my new bike last week, Scott brought it out and proceeded to raise that level of service even higher. I like to research things in depth so I dont waste my time or anyone elses, but Scott pointed out aspects of this models ownership and maintenance needs that I otherwise might never have known. I had a list of accessories I needed - from helmet and bottle cage to lights and kickstand - and Scott thoroughly compared variations in the products to help me select the best items for my needs, then installed them on the spot. From sizing the helmet to selecting the on-bike pump Id need should a flat occur on the road, Scott took the time the make sure I left the store ready to ride with confidence. This place put new hand brakes on mt trek bike that clearly were to big, to the point of being unsafe. I could not reach them safely w/ my hands. I went back and showed and explained the problem to them. They only offered to put a different pair on at full cost. Wont b shopping there again.

Shopping at Trek Bicycle Newark was the absolute best shopping experience of my life. Even though we arrived 30 minutes before closing, Scott was thorough and reviewed the pros and cons of each hybrid bike in stock. He even went into the back multiple times to pull out alternative options, just to make sure I had a feel for all the bikes available. In the end, I bought an F3 Disc Womens bike, and the quality is out of this world. Im so pleased with my new bike, as well as the exceptional service that Scott provided.

The staff at Trek in Newark are interested in helping you despite manufacturing delays due to COVID. Even other Trek stores in the region were not as friendly, knowledgeable about their inventory pipeline, or interested in actually making a sale. I trust the Newark Trek repair shop not to try to upsell me on services, and they do work very quickly.

The entire staff at the Newark Trek store is amazing. They are so attentive to their customers...they are like our biking family...always ready to go the extra mile to help us with our bikes, our new rack. We just had a spring tune up...the bikes ride like you are on a cloud. Dann is FANTASTIC! I wouldnt let anyone else care for my bike :)

Nice stock and clean shop but service is iffy based on an experience. Came in to get a tire replaced and the older gentleman told us it was a 3 week wait. Then a women came in behind us. Spoke to a different person and also asked for a tire to be replaced they told her 2 days. Just seems odd that the same service takes different amount of times

Honest people doing honest work in a timely fashion. I have an old hybrid road bike that I bought at the location 26 years ago. I have returned for service and repairs and find them very helpful and honest. They trouble shoot the bike when you drop off so you know up front what they can and cant fix, and what it will cost. What impresses me the most is that they have never tried to sell me a new bike or make repairs that werent necessary. They have an impressive inventory of bikes and supplies for riders of all ages and skill.

Wife stop by to pick up what she THOUGHT was a brake cable for our sons bike. She even told them she had the bike if they wanted to see it. Bike didnt need a cable it needed the noodle for the cable. The bad is it would cost more to drive to return, lucky it was only $5. If they had looked at the bike this review could have gone differently. Ordered online from someone else....m

Scott was an amazing salesman that put the sale aside and cared more for my daughter’s safety and enjoyment than his commission. He made sure my daughter’s needs we met (color and accessories) but made it a fun experience for her stepping up to a “gear bike.” He also made sure to fit her helmet perfectly and was very candid with the approach; she was between sizes but wanted her safety to come first over pushing her to a bigger size that didn’t fit as well. A phenomenal experience, thanks to Scott and his thoroughness was not unnoticed.

Only reason Im giving one star is because I cant leave no star. Second time at this store and both time the experience has been very unpleasant, if not horrible. This time I worked with Bruno, atleast thats what he said his name was. I was looking to purchase an Èmonda SL5, I asked questions with regards to colors and sizes. He said the color I wanted was not longer available, when I personally when into the Trek website and showed him it was a color for 2021. None the less I was willing to take the bike they have available. When I asked the price he said the price was almost $4000, another on many strikes he had through out the interaction with me, I once again showed him the price on the website said $2899.99 and he said he thought I was asking about a different bike. But the whole time he said he didnt have any other bike on my 58 size, but ok I want the bike so I go back to the price. I ask for a discount. Any discount. He said he cant do anything, that the bike is a hot seller and they cant seem to keep it in stock. Now I explained to him I call 2 weeks prior and they told me that the bike he was showing me was the same bike they had told me they had avaliable two weeks ago. Bruno goes on to tell me the bike had been return and used. Another reason. I think I should get some type of discount, right? Wrong. He said he give me the bottle cage thats already on the bike. But I want the bike. I dont need it. I tell him Im also going to but a $180 pair of cleats, but to throw in the second bottle cage for me. I just want to feel like I got a decent deal. Even though the bike is USED and return. He said no, I go on to ask him to check with his manager. Im thinking to myself whats a $25-$30 bottle cage when Im about to spend over $3000.00. He said he cant do that either. Once he said that I explain to him that we had been a Trek customer for some time. Bought multiple bikes and that just earlier that day we had Purchased a bike from the Wilmington Trek Store, and had given us a $200 discount and threw on the pedals for us. He went on to said that it doesnt happened in his store. That high-end bikes and high-end performance dont qualify for discount and so on. I tried once again to make the deal. I told him Ill paid the price for the Bike, Im going to buy the Cleat all Im asking is to throw in the water bottle cage. He said no. No manager no supervisor to make a sale happen over a water bottle cage? What kind of store is this? Never stepping foot on this store ever again. Debating if to even do or used Treks product at all. But I know I cant judge every store for this particular one. Bruno manage to come out and look at us as we was driving away to make sure we wasnt lying about the pedals and about purchasing a bike earlier that day. Im sure he saw the Ėmonda on the back of the car. I will keep trying to keep my business with the Wilmington Trek Store. Atleast for NOW!

Trek Wilmington has done a great job of giving back to the community. They have donated their trade-in bicycles to our organization Bike Kennett, and we have then given them out to children and adults in need in our community. This is a great shop that everyone should support!

I have purchased three bikes for my grandchildren from this store and received great service every time. So when I decided to purchase a more high end bike for myself I returned to the Trek store in Newark, DE. The entire experience, from choosing the right bike to setting it up with accessories, was five star. The entire staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating.

Even my husband noticed how clean my bike was after my level 3 tune up last week at Trek bicycle of Newark. The crew broke the bike down and discovered a cable that needed repair which I am really grateful for since I do a lot of climbing. I took the bike out yesterday and was very pleased with how smoothly the shifting worked.

Came in to purchase a helmet. Staff greeted me as I walked through the door and asked how they could help. The gentleman took me to the helmets and was very knowledgeable in the products. The best bicycle shop around. My family has purchased 6 Trek bikes over the years. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, mechanics are always willing to help you out. Sometimes I take my bike in and they take care of me right away without an appointment. You can always take the bikes out for a ride before you purchase, there is a nice bike trail called the Pomeroy Trail.Very high quality all around.

The friendly and personal approach that the folks working at the Newark location makes for a very enjoyable customer experience. It was my first time in the store and I was immediately greeted but never pressured. It was great that I was able to browse the entire store and then when I had a question it was answered right away with an informative and non-condescending manner. I will definitely visit again!
