Not a good place to do business with. My kids bought a vehicle with the newark location and this is transmission 5/6 since March 2020. Best buy knew there was issues since day one but kept sending these young kids on their way.. Mark the GM will NOT return phone calls. So to me they know they are in the wrong. No one can give a message to the head owner of this place so we can try to resolve this issue. Here these kids are busting their buttons and still paying on a non working vehicle. Best buy autoIts your job as a business to do the right thing instead youre hiding. This is not looking good for your business. So maybe now with this review maybe phone calls will be returned

I am very happy with the vehicle I purchased...and also very pleased with the additional warranty protection both through the dealership and an extended warranty program. He was very open and honest. The whole process from test driving several vehicles in the class I was looking for, providing the Auto Check Reports, answering all of my questions...through the process of finding financing and giving me a very fair price for my well cared for high mileage, late model car. The availability of their own on-site mechanic and his open-ness of allowing us if desired to have an outside mechanic look the vehicle over...in fact inviting us to do so...was a breath of fresh air. I bought a Jeep Wrangler from Best Buy and dealt with Allan the manager. He was nice enough to bring the vehicle out for me to look at on a Saturday afternoon as I live about 60 miles away in Rochester. I test drove the vehicle and really liked it but I wanted to have it checked out by my mechanic. Allen Also offered to bring the vehicle to the mechanic to have it looked at. My mechanic said the vehicle was in great shape other than one minor issue that Best Buy fixed without me asking them to.When it came to financing, Alan was able to get me a far better rate through one of the credit unions he works with than my bank offered. We then set up a time to complete the transaction and sign the paperwork. I recently purchased a 2016 Silverado WT from the Newark team. The sales team shipped the vehicle from another BestBuy location to make it a closer drive for us, and also put it on the lift and sent undercarriage pictures before we made a visit. The service team really came through and addressed a transmission vibration with the upmost integrity. They even sent the vehicle over to a local GM dealership to confirm their repairs to make sure their customer did not have to make another 200 mile round trip for a warranty return. I bought a Car in April of 2018 and as of Today 12/28/2018 My car has had over $10,000 in repairs done to the car. The dealer ship has done a few repairs but not what they should have. I would NOT recommend Best Buy Auto Sales to ANYONE. My car has been in the shop ore then I have driven it. I have had a New Axel, Transmission, Alternator, Tires, Cam Shaft, O2 Sensor, Steering Sensor, and so much more Done. Their approach to the who process was they were doing me a favor for what little they did help. Unfortunately I now have to take them to Court.

When I went to Best Buy Auto in Newark I wasn’t actually looking to buy a vehicle right then and there. I had seen that he had a Honda Civic for sale and my Chevy Trail Blazer was not only getting up there in miles but it was getting to the point of non repairable. When I asked Alan Mallette about the Civic I saw on their website he told me it was actually at their Syracuse lot. But also said if I really wanted to take a look see he could get the car there for me within the next couple of days. I told him that I wasn’t really wanting to buy right now but yeah it couldn’t hurt to check it out. He told me that one of the guys from Syracuse was actually on his way there and he’d let him know so they could get the car to the Newark location. I went home and within a half hour of me leaving, Alan called me and said you’re not going to believe this but he actually drove the civic here today. He said if you want to come check it out he’ll be here for a couple of hours. I went back down there right then. I looked it all over, even took it for a test drive. I fell in love with it. With it being my first car that I ever went alone to buy by myself, Alan walked me through everything and even dumbed down some of the terms for me to better understand. He made my car buying experience the most exciting and easiest thing ever. My ex husband and I have bought vehicles from him in the past so I knew he would steer me wrong. Thank you, Alan! I still have my civic and when I’m ready for another vehicle, Alan will and always will be my go to guy.

I did not purchase yet because I am in the beginning stages of looking but after having a few minute conversation with Allan I know that I wanna do business with him. I first went to see Allan at Best Buy in April to get a new car. Allan worked with me to get me into a vehicle but at the last second I had a death in the family and had to cancel .
