They should definitely take down rooms that have been rented. It can be a waste of time looking for something that’s no long available!

At first I couldnt log in, now I cant get verified even though Ive already paid them. Nearly a quarter of this site doesnt work, and their support team wont even contact me back to help fix it.

I have been trying to register and login but right after I enter the password, the site glitches. Tried numerous times and its ridiculously frustrating and tiring to deal with. Not interested in dealing with customer service for something that should be a breeze. Im trying to fill a room in my house and this just makes the entire process so exhausting. Btw, I first tried to create a the listing and went through the trouble of uploading and writing detailed, specifics which takes time. Then I had to create an account and bc of the sites glitches with that, Ive probably lost all the information that I spent time creating. Beyond annoyed.

Ive used Roomi 2 separate times now as a transplant living in NYC and have found their service phenomenal. Theyre safe, reliable, and very consumer-friendly with their website. This is the easiest moving and roommate finding experience Ive had to date.

Just tried to create an account on my desktop and on their app and couldnt even complete the basic registration process. Tried different emails, as well as different usernames... earlier all my progress was lost when the app crashed as I was selecting my profile photo. Trash.

Not impressed. Complicated registration process. Says its free to list a room. I was initially rejected and edited my listing and was accepted. In two weeks, I had three views (and I think those were me and my friends). Got my fourth view and a suspicious request from supposedly a professional in Ohio whose English was closer to the English one encounters from foreign scammers. The next day, both my account and the account of the scammer were suspended. I reached out to customer service and received the following: Your account was suspended only because we deal with real estate professionals on a partnership basis. If youre still interested in listing with Roomi. I can certainly help you with establishing your account as a partner account. However (and I told them this), I am not a real estate professional. I own one apartment in San Francisco and am listing one of the rooms for rent. What I think is happening is that Roomi wants people to spend money on an unproven platform. If you dont buy one of their upgrades, they suspend you despite their rules. If there had been any kind of response, I certainly would have considered buying one of their upgrades.

Meh. Every time I kept signing it, it would bring me back to sign in again. im already stressed out trying to fill this empty room and then having to deal with this just annoyed me even more. Mind you, Ive tried a few days in a row Multiple times to make sure I wasnt tripping.so.... yea... even sent an email to get the issue resolved.

I was recommended this app from a friend who used it when they moved. It has made my life so much easier in finding a roommate as I transition for my new job to a bigger city. I come from a small town and I’ve never had a roommate before now.

I found my two amazing roommates through Roomi. I had a three bedroom in Tribeca and was able to connect with, chat and seamlessly vet everyone out with ease and comfort because Facebook roommate groups or Craigslist is full of spam and sketchy people.

My mother desired to rent her basement to make additional income. We stumbled across Roomi while looking online and decided to sign up. Shes had significant results with keeping her space occupied.

Wonderful app. Ive now used it twice to find a roommate for rooms in my apartment and Ive been happy with how quickly I was able to to find the right person. The support team at Roomi is outstanding. They even sent a professional photographer to my house (at no cost) and always send gifts upon successful roommate placement.

Been trying to get my posting approved for a week with no luck... Customer service takes days to respond and they don’t believe my technical issues are real- their website is glitchy. Additionally, all the positive reviews of their site are from years ago.....

I listed an open availability I had for my brownstone in the Prospect Heights area it was rented within 2 weeks. There were many quality applicants which made it difficult to narrow it down to one. However, Im excited about the decision I made.

This website was great to help fill my empty room. I felt comfortable putting up my listing and not getting any creepy guys trying to message me or spammed by other sites. I haven’t found a roommate yet but have talked to some people and am hopeful someone will be the right fit. A +++++ from me!

Hello,Im contacting because I paid the $24.99 for a background check so I can contact this one listing and they havent gotten back to me. Im wondering is that listing no longer available anymore or did that person move? Please let me know if you can somehow get a hold of that person and see? Maybe? Because the website is very secure, in my opinion too secure, and its hard to even speak to anyone or get any information. I cant really move on unless hes decided to respond to my chat request so Im kind of left in the dark. The listing is pasted below. Thank You- Rachelle(Im not going to disclose the link of the listing for privacy reasons, Im not trting to out this certain individual.) This was the letter so was gonna send them through the email they provided, the email is invalid. I called, its out of service. Its incredibly difficult to get in contact with ANYONE. Im starting to think its a scam. Becaauuusseee, I paid the $25 and now Im just left here with no help, no response, and I cant even contact the main company. Its frustrating. And it sucks cuz the listings are reasonably priced, nice, and not too much. Most if them have utilities included as well.

Being able to find my own room without using a broker has been awesome and cheap. No going back and forth or being pressured into anything you don’t want

Once you get the hang of it the app if pretty easy to navigate. I like that they asked you to link up different social accounts so that people are legit. I got 4 different people message me the same day I created my account. Thumbs up!

I’ve used Roomi several times in the past to find roommates and have been successful each time. I never have issues with people not messaging me and if there are any problems customer service has been quick to help me out.

This app is nice, very convenient and easy to use.

There is a fake account using someone else’s photo and information renting a room in Chelsea for $750. DONT SEND THEM YOUR MONEY.

Not everyone wants to have a picture up, and this app will not let you go any further without adding a picture. SMH

I honestly thought this was going to be garbage and make me pay to access anything real. Much to my surprise everything was actually free and I got a roommate a week after downloading.
