I have went to Sufu on multiple occasions and all times but once the person doing my nails would laugh with their friends while gesturing at me and doing my nails. They were speaking another language but did little to cover the fact that they were being rude. The first couple times I assumed it was because I got the same rude lady but she was very good at doing nails so I sucked it up. This last time it was someone different after requesting an additional coat for a bright color that was streaky. My nails started chipping the next day. I wish your business the best and hope you get your preferred clientele.
I just tried Susan Nail for this first time, as I am on a mission to find a go to nail place in the neighborhood... I was not disappointed. I am very picky about my nails and they did such a great job of making my nails look beautiful. I believe the man who did my nails was Jason (I think!)He was so attentive and extremely precise while filling in my acrylic set. He made sure every nail was perfect. When I go back to have them removed and get a new set, I will update this review if anything changes. But, I was so happy after leaving their salon yesterday.Their prices seem fair to me, they have them all listed on the wall, so you know what you are getting. It is a very small salon, I did not go into the back where they do pedicures, but I am sure they do a great job back there too!
Pretty sure the store front of this place says Sufu nails and spa. I went there today and had an overall good experience
One of the best nail salons I have been. They are fast, clean, very polite and work amazing on the nails. I love how she does my nails! Will always go back!
Dont waste your time or money here!!!!!!!! I came here less than a week ago, exactly 5 days ago and 2 nails have already broken off. These weak nails were not worth the $120 I paid!!! Not only did they do a horrible job, I spent more than 4 hours in their salon waiting for them to finish attending me because they kept taking other customers before me even though I called ahead to make an appointment! This place is horrible, look else where! Ill be advising all my friends to do the same. Btw Susan was the person who took care of me, and she was the only person in the salon who knew how to do this nail set according to her so the whole salon must be full of bad nail techs.
The spa pedicure was okay but the manicure was painful. She didnt dip our nails into water/cuticle oil before trimming the cuticles so it was quite painful. And with covid I wish they were more clean...as I was getting my pedicure the lady came very close and began my manicure without a screen between us. I wish shed just waited until my pedicure was done and then completed the mani at the table with the screens. Seems like they were in a rush and just wanted to bring in more customers. Wouldnt go here again
I’ve been going to this salon since they opened and I love it. The owner Susan always takes care of me. My nails are always beautiful. I highly recommend this salon.
I never feel rushed here. It feels like they genuinely take their time to make your nails look amazing. It’s also a great price!
The service was really nice but the nails are so chunky and uneven I don’t recommend coming here
Felt incredibly rushed and like she couldn’t get me out faster. Jagged edges and little attention to detail. Threw down my feet and hands and almost seemed angry. But then she stood there after... wasn’t even rushing to see someone else.
Not only was the job not well done but it was painful. I got a gel mani pedi and my friend got a gel mani.I came here yesterday for a pedicure and since my experience was decent, I invited a friend to come with me today to get gel manicures. The nail technicians were so aggressive, harshly filing down our nails and roughly pushing back skin (without even soaking beforehand).I frequent a handful of salons across Manhattan so I know the job just isnt supposed to be done like this. Furthermore, they kept painting the gel onto the surrounding skin beds and proceeded to try to remedy the mess by cutting it off -aka cutting off perfectly formed and healthy skin, resulting in a lot of bleeding for the both of us.On top of that, the friend I invited is Chinese and could understand everything they were saying. They were making ill comments on all the customers in the shop plus her, when obviously that was a bold move to make considering shes obviously Chinese too.Im disappointed to see how my nails will grow out in the next few days because I know theyll peel, considering how much excess paint is around the nail/on my skin.Come here if you want bloody cuticles and filed down nail stubs.
What a rude stuff! My God!They didn’t even disinfect her tools! My gel manicure came off after TWO days. !
I love this place. Ive been here more than a handful of times and they consistently deliver a beautiful gel manicure in 40 min or less.I appreciate the efficiency and also their extensive gel color selection. Ill be back!
At one point, before the orginal space burned down, they were amazing! Now.... it seems as if the space is the only amazing thing there. Nails took almost 2 hours and they were not buffed properly. The lady constantly reassured me that Ill be done soon... but soon felt like 5 years later.... cant say i will be going back 🤷🏾♀️
Had the most thorough nail tech today. He was incredible. Always love their spa pedis.
Superb
WARNING: they do not honor the prices listed on their board. I got a dip powder manicure and a regular pedicure, which according to the menu printed on the wall should’ve been 40+24= $64, but they charged me $92!! I even called before going and the price quoted me was what was on the wall $64 not $92.When I asked the lady why they charged me so much she said “oh I thought you knew, we did something different for you” but couldn’t explained what they did differently. I’ve had my nails done millions of times and can tell you they did nothing different other than exactly what I asked for, a regular pedicure $24 and a dip manicure $40.Now that I have looked over and read all their reviews, I see other people have also complained that they do not honor their printed prices.
Great experience. I got a pedicure. They take their time with every service given to you. Good prices.
Good place but rushes you during busy hours.
Horrible salon. If you dont get one of their expensive special pedicure packages they do a half job. I think my pedicure was 15 minutes total. Not very salon like inside, its relaxing at all. When it was time for me to pay the lady who was doing my mani / pedi was hunched over me watching what I filled in for the tip- I was calculating the total in my head and she answered for me - thats how much she was watching me fill out the receipt. She still had to finish my manicure so it was super awkward, I felt like I had to give her a bigger tip otherwise she would mess up my manicure. service horrible would never recommend
Every service you could wish for complete with a helpful, friendly staff. Walk-ins welcome. The best gel manicure I have ever received. Competitive prices and a typical East Village nail salon setting.
They do a good job
Pedicure was very quick, barely touched me. Drying fan wasnt on, which I didnt realize for a while; staff didnt bother to check for me. Few colors to pick from, most were $5 extra (signs were very deceiving). Staff barely acknowledged me. And for that I paid $25. Merp.
Good for the price, TINY place (4 tables) make an appointment
Susan nails is one of the most disgusting nail salons I’ve ever been in. I took one look at the nail tools and almost asked that they be re-sanitized with ethanol/ alas, I wish I had. After my manicure, the attendant did not clean a single one of the tools and merely wiped them with a paper towel (not very well, as one of them still had bits of my cuticle). She was coughing throughout the manicure.
Just came back to the spa after the fire in their other location and had my nails done with Aida and my manicure and pedicure was Fabulous will def come back
I went back after several years. Nice and clean like I remembered. I think they have new owners. Mani/Pedi was alright.
Great job with ombré almond shape nails.
Got an acrylic set it lasts for a while and with the design the price was great!
Clean, pleasant and near offic.
Super small, decent wait time, and totally upsell you once in the door. But the massage was awesome!
Awesome staff. They interact greatly with their customers.
Excellent service, great mani-pedi & massage. Discount packages and frequent customer card offered. Four stars because quarters are a little tight, but, other than that, fantastic all around.
Twice I have been here and I have been disappointed with the service up to and including the customer service.
I have been here a few times for a mani-pedi and leg wax. Not super upscale but clean and comfortable. Fairly quick, which is a good thing for me!
Not clean. Very unpleasant experience.
This place isnt necessarily pretty, and they definitely dont serve you champaign, but Ive never been to any other nail salon in Manhattan that does a better job with my nails. I will go out of my way to get my nails done here. Awesome massages too... not the kind that leave you with unsatisfying skin burns.Great nails, yes, but even better is their price. I will gladly forego the champaign and the cushy chairs for a $30 mani/pedi that also LASTS.Must try.
Great place. Prices are reasonable. I had a mani pedi for $23.00.
They are fast, friendly, and very clean. There are many choices in the area, but this is where I go!
The service was okay and they polish good. I just wish it were a bit cleaner.
I got my nails done here on Monday and it is Sunday and I have 2 broken nails. I went on vacation so I was not doing hard labor to cause my nails to break. Not good for a $40 manicure. My sister got hers done as well and her manicure was just as bad.
Ask for Jane...she us the best !
Wonderful staff and prices!
Curse me out because I gave $5 dollars tip 😩😩😩😩. Like who does that????????
Affordable and great service!
My new go to nail salon!
