Went here on a limb from my own google maps search. I wanted an affordable place that could execute the design I wanted. Here at Elegant Nails, I found it! I got a mani (polygel set) and pedi. Michele did my polygel set and she was so nice, charismatic, and professional. She is very experienced and cares about her customers’ experience.
Can in here to do my nails, asked for a regular gel manicure. The women who did my nailed was in such a rush the whole process took 15 minutes. The women cut 2 of my fingers and keep spraying alcohol on it which made it worst. The actual manicure looks horrible. My nail is not fully painted and there lumpy. My nails look like a 5 year old did them and I wasted 38 dollars on them. After 2 days the polish started to come off. Would not recommend a manicure from this place
Very professional. Michelle really listens to you. She actually cares and does exactly what you want. I love how my nails came out and would definitely love to come back.
Came to get my eyebrows done on my lunch break. I was seen immediately and received amazing service from Sunny. Bring cash to avoid a fee for card which she made me aware of :)
The owner does great nails but the ladies doing pedicures are not good. They rush, try to upcharge everything and your pedicure will look like a $10 pedicure instead of $25
The lady i got did my manicure and pedicure in under 30 mins!!!!!! WHAT! She left my nails uneven and she left the edges pointy. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had
I had a great experience, the prices are reasonable compared to other neighborhood nail salons. Loved Michelle! Super kind.
Had a wonderful first experience at Elegant Nails. My gel manicure lasted for two weeks (!!!!) and everyone was very friendly and accommodating.
Very bad job, don’t ever come
Michelle did an amazing job doing my first SNS tip set. They look flawless. The service here is 10/10!
They saw me before my appointment, which was nice, but my gel manicure chipped after less than 24 hours without any strenuous activity. Waste of $34 + tip. Go somewhere else.
I went here with my mom for a simple pedicure and it was fantastic. They had great service, awesome staff, and made us feel super comfortable. I would definitely come back here and 10/10 would recommend.
This is a review for a massage only. Tina gave an unbelievably good massage. I regularly hop into nail salons for a 10 min massage when I need one and this was by far the best (you can find the worst a block down at Look). Will definitely be back.
Very disappointed. Went in for a regular manicure and pedicure and left with my feet and hands pretty much looking the same with some color. Didn’t even scrub my feet. I go for pedicure for them to clean up and polish my heels and side of my toes and they didn’t even do that. Won’t be going back unfortunately since I just moved to around there.
I’ve been going here for years. Mona is amazing, pays attention to detail. They have a new owner now. They are simple manicure, pedicure, gel, waxing and massage spa. No acrylics.
Terrible place, same price as “think pink” literally 4 blocks up on 6th, and way less quality of manicure/pedicure and cleanliness. The place doesn’t look clean, the guy doing my nails used a dirty towel and forgot to cut my culticals. Because I’m a fair person I paid the bill despite the quality but won’t be coming again.
New owners! :( I had been going to Elegant for over 8 years. The staff were all so kind and like family. Unfortunately, the old owners have retired and there is new management in place. What was once a clean and peaceful oasis now feels dirty and hectic. The new owner is also rude to customers and the old staff. I witnessed this firsthand when the owner was going to take some of the tip I had given to my manacurist as a charge for my quick dry. I was so sad and disappointed to see the greedy owner try to take money from the hardworking staff. He should be ashamed. I will unfortunately not be going back.
This place is terrible. The absolute worst pedicures we have ever received. (Lack there of) I paid $50 for two polish changes. Did not scrub our feet, barely cut or clean up our toe nails . Literally 2 second massage. Extremely unhappy with this service. The ladies were also not friendly and rudely asked for tipped. It was ridiculous. Of course I’m nice and tipped anyway but they will never get my business again. I will make sure to let everyone know how bad this place is. The worst pedicure in New York City !
I liked that place a lot! The lady who was getting my nails done was friendly and she did a good job as it was a very neat and a quick work:)
Had a gel manicure and my sister a full set. Fast and great job and good price.
Specifically went here after reading reviews to splurge on myself while on vacation. everything went wrong and it was all expensive. my special spa pedicure was given by someone who didnt know what it included. not relaxing. the place was busy so i didnt complain. move on to my gel manicure- it was completely rushed and i didnt like the color once it was on my nails, but since they were about to close she didnt even offer to change it after i said i didnt like it. we had been there 1.5hrs+ by then. left spending waaaaay too much money on extremely mediocre/rushed work.
My go-to place to get my nails done. Service is great and the environment is fitting to its name!
She did an amazing job on my nails ♡♡♡
The love that Michelle, the owner, has for her clients is easily evident in the tact, care, and attention that she extends to each customer who walks in through her door. Im still in awe about how she made my super long nails look completely natural. Also, she somehow knew the shape that I wanted without me having to mention it at all. She took my nails from a hideous, bulky hobglob of a mess (the nail salon where Id gone before had ruined my nails - my pinky nail even broke halfway within a week and a half although Id paid for SNS nails) to a lovely and elegant work of art, where it had even slipped my mind that my pinky nail was falling apart before Id come in. On top of that, although she does a wonderful job and she pays attention to detail, she still manages to not make her customers wait forever to finish their nails. Shes very kind and humble and her prices are very fair for NYC. Plus she does SNS Nails and designs. Dont wait a second longer, go here! Michelles been doing nails for over 20 years. If you want someone whos an expert at what they do, come here! If you care about what youre shelling out of your pocket, come here. Even more importantly, if you care about the aesthetics and health of your nails, make sure you come, youll love it here!
So nice! Manicure $11 and every manicurist is great. They make the effort to make you feel like a regular.
1st thing you need to know is.. Youll be forced to pay tip LOL.Happened to stumble upon this place walking down the street and my wife and I needed a basic mani/pedi. The price seemed reasonable so we stopped in.Where do I start... The greeting was not welcoming. The whole process was rushed and the results were not good. For anyone expecting little details cared about when it comes to mani/pedi - this is Not the place. Rushed work annoys the heck out of me. To make matters worse once we paid they had the audacity to tell us that we had to tip. Why would I pay a tip for a service that I was completely unhappy with, even after telling you. Nothing was done to make the service better they simply insisted that we had to tip at least 15%.Smh, never again.
I do not know what happened to this nail salon but after going here for several years I will NEVER return. I went for a mani/pedi. I did not realize the pedicure was poorly done until it was too late, including polish on my skin, 3 our of 10 nails not cut and barely filed to a shape, and the nails that were cut - it is painfully (literally) short. Now comes the manicure. I asked the woman to cut 1 nail that had a snag and file the rest. She proceeded to cut ALL 10 nails before I could stop her and filed the nails so short that the nail is below the skin line and there is little to no white. Also the nails were several different shapes - squared (which is what I asked for), rounded, filed straight across and who knows what else. After telling her to stop several times and getting push back and excuses on why she did this hack job, she walked away and Im sure talked about me. Apparently SQUARE and SHORTER sound the same? After sitting for 20+ minutes, I had one woman start and stop after I refused to allow her to paint my nails and another woman do a hack job on cleaning up my cuticles. She trimmed my cuticles without resoaking them or properly pushing them back despite the fact that I said they hadnt been soaked in 20 minutes. I refused to pay for this abomination and spent another 20 minutes trying to sort this out and them resorting to calling the owner so I could explain why I refuse to pay. This is painful - my fingers hurt in the same way they would hurt if you tore your nail below the skin line. My biggest hope now is that I dont develop nail infections. Eventually my nails will grow enough to so I can have them redone. I will also need to go somewhere else to have my pedicure fixed. It is clear that they no longer hire trained or knowledgable individuals. do not go here.
Nice & clean, amazing customers service ..
Came here based on the recommendation of a friend and have to say: do yourself a favor and save the time and money. My pedicure is sloppy, and my toes were hardly filed and are all uneven. For my manicure, I asked for an additional coat and was told “no.” It’s been 2 days and they’ve already chipped. This place is low quality and disappointing.
Very clean nail salon with a lot of colors. No loud noise and its always quiet which is absolute delight!
I live on Waverly & 6th ave so this is the closest nail salon to me. Every time I go here it is a disappointment. Between the old nail polish they use to the worse pedicures. I would stay away!!
Professional, quick and excellent nail care
